Super mario Odyssey is such a gem and I hope the next Mario game could possibly be a sequel! Another game that turned out to be really good on the switch was Dragon Quest 11!

I could talk about the elephant in the room(for me) being Kirby, but honestly the fact that you gave Origami King a mention is very refreshing. I admittedly didn't grow up with the OG Paper Mario games like many, but I found that game to be a blast with really good humor and exploration.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a masterpiece. It's been my favorite Switch game since the very day I played it. Since then, I'm now a lifelong fan of the Fire Emblem series. *Long live Three Houses!*
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is probably my favorite game next to Breath of the Wild because of the amount of replay value it offers. It’s such a blast by yourself or with friends.
Super Smash Bros. perfected the couch co-op style of multiplayer Nintendo is known for. It's still plenty of fun to play online, but there's nothing quite like getting a group of friends together, cracking some beers, and shit talking while playing smash.
Glad to see Three Houses on here. The full voice acting and voice acting work, music and very well written characters alone make it worthy of being on this list

As a kid I often struggled to finish story based video games by myself But when I got the switch I actually got to finish games like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Mario Odyssey Mario Odyssey was definitely a blast, it may not be as praised as other games like 64 or Galaxy but it still means a lot to me Odyssey Yessy!!!!
Smash Ultimate is the only place you can see Solid Snake be creeped out by an Enderman and Kazuya throw everyone from your childhood off the edge. And I can't tell you how many people got hit with the "When You Walk Away" when Sora was announced.
They can put port games on the list like Donkey Kong Country Returns & Bayonetta 2, but they can't put other Switch games like Astral Chain, Splatoon 3, Hades, or Ring Fit Adventures

Forgotten Land is an appropriate name for a game that I didn't even know existed until now. Seriously, though? How have I not heard of this game? If I knew there was a legit Kirby game for the Switch I would have gotten it already.
You were actually talking about the first Mario + Rabbids, that being Kingdom Battle. But yes, Sparks of Hope is a must play game, the same goes for Mario Strikers Battle League, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Super Mario 3D all stars. Other interesting games may include Mario Party Superstars/Super Mario Party/Team Sonic Racing/Mario & Sonic Tokyo Olympics/Newer Crash Bandicoot games.
2 things. 1. Where is Metroid prime remastered? 2. Arceus needs to be in the top ten at very least. Maybe number 8 or so. It's the best Pokemon experience I've ever had by far.
I got splatoon 2 late but very grateful to play it when lockdown happen. The experience is just amazing. I can only imagine the first one splatoon. I even got the chance to experience splatfest.

Good thing Nintendo games and consoles still for the most part hold up really well and u can pick them up 10 years from now and still have fun. Can't say the same for playstation and Xbox.
I'm genuinely amazed that 3d world + bowsers fury isn't on here, its imo the best port on the switch, anyone can play it and it's co op but really fun on its own too, the only place I'd say it lacks is maybe the depth in movement, but besides that it's incredible, even on its own it would be a decent 60$ game but the fact they even added bowsers fury which is worth like $20-30 on its own imo is insane, bowsers fury is an incredible + hour experience, aswell as this splatoon 3 should've been here instead of splatoon 2, the community is more active and it improves om nearly everything

So happy three house made it to the top 5 and beat out Mario cart and animal crossing, like I knew it not beat the big three but so happy it made it that high. It’s my 3rd favourite game of all time and smash is 7th and botw is 1st. Though no astral chain? Like I know the reviewer you had review it back in 2019 was not huge on it but it’s is so so good and definitely a top 20 game.

I'm surprised that they didnt mention for MK8, there is still tracks coming out for it. Basically an entire games worth of tracks (only downside is that they need to be purchased).
The game I can’t get enough of wasn’t on the list, but I don’t care because I love it. It’s the Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door remake. I was thrilled for the release of this game because I was never able to play the original. The story is so fun to play, and it looks amazing. Also, something that’s kind of funny about Metroid Dread is that it was originally supposed to release on the 3DS, but those plans got cancelled.
Arguably, this list is a rehashing of the 2019 top 10 Switch list, but also using the same narration on some points for games listed like Super Mario Odyssey & Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Which is very sad, considered Watch Mojo is running out of ideas.

I have a few of these games on this list.mario kart 8, smash, and pokemon legends. although on the list, I would’ve added WarioWare get it together, cause the fact you could play with the series characters opposed to just doing them in one simple stage gives you a variety of options to play, and there’s more than one way to complete the games. also pokemon sword and shield, and scarlet and violet. sword and shield for the simple style, plus it is sort of an introduction to some of the new mechanics that legends and S&V would bring in, like the wild area, and with S&V, it’s the same like legends, but also adds that turn based style, plus freaking you can complete the game how you want. there’s no set path.
My top 5 is 1 - Mario kart 8 deluxe 2 - super smash bros ultimate 3 - Mario Tennis Aces 4 - Super Mario odyssey 5 - The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild 🙂✌️ 👌 👍 🏴 🤝 🌍
Out of all Pokémon games I’ve played on the switch I really would say Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the best. It’s not just a masterpiece it’s a love letter to the Sinnoh region.
Best part is that it feels more like a proof of concept at it's current state. With some more polish and support the next Legends game (hopefully😢) will be even better. I'd go on a limb and say it's the best Pokemon game ever and yet it doesn't even feel finished. Hopefully we get another Legends game as well.
@Professor Palm Unova is next to get the remake treatment and considering the WiFi connection is dead in Black/White/Black 2 and White 2 and many features using it are also dead, it's needed. I really hope they bring back Join Avenue

The Nintendo Switch changed my life as a Mario fan. Like those of you who are Sonic fans even though I'm a fan of that franchise too, that ended up having poorly made recent Sonic games like Sonic 06, Sonic & The Black Knight, just the current Sonic games that were really criticized, there was the Mario side of that situation where after the recent greatest game Mario Kart 7 we mostly get the worst ones like Mario Party 9, NES Remix, Mario Party Island Tour, Paper Mario Sticker Star. There are 5 greatest games for the Wii U & 3DS so far but the rest were not really good & the American commercials for the Wii U & the 3DS were largely terrible.

My Switch Lite History 10-3-2022 Bought a turquoise for $90. 5-3-2023 Sold for $110. 7-6-2023 Bought a coral for $70. 7-8-2023 Sold for $120. 7-8-2023 Bought another turquoise for $100. All three were bought from OfferUp. Third time is definitely the charm. The only reason I sold my first one was the left analog stick no longer could turn right after 7 months. Then I sold the coral (pink) one after only 2 days because I didn't like the color and wanted turquoise back. I only got the coral because the seller was willing to accept my $70 offer. I net profited $70 on my two previous Lites. So I really only spent $30 on my third Lite. All three looked brand new but this current one I have definitely feels the most new. Has this anti-glare, smudge-resistant screen protector that makes the display look clear all the time. Get Switch Lites on OfferUp if you're living in America. They go for $100 or less a lot. Prices will eventually go up. The 3DS is weaker hardware and goes for $150-$200 minimum. Same with the Vita. But I don't plan to ever sell my current Lite. I can't stand the weight and width of the regular Switch and OLED. And I don't own a TV any way. I haven't gamed on a TV since 2019 with my PS4 slim. Now to prevent having my sticks wearing out fast like my first one, I pair my SN30 Pro and will try to do that at least 90% of the time. If the analog sticks do break, I'll get them replaced with hall effect sensors. The GuliKit ones go for $25 from Amazon. I'll be more cautious this time knowing drift is a widespread problem. But I may get so used to using the SN30 Pro for the Lite, it may not matter any more. Still waiting for my case which can create a kickstand so I can play Switch Lite in tabletop. I was worried with input lag but my SN30 Pro which I bought 2 years ago that looks like the SNES controller (same colors) works like a dream and I get rumble which the Lite can't do. Stupid me. I didn't know how to pair my Bluetooth controller to my Switch Lite until last night! I could've prevented having the first one go out like that. Lesson learned. This now makes me open to the idea of getting a Steam Deck mainly because I'll likely play it with a BT controller most of the time and won't mind the large size. I can do the same for the Switch OLED which offers longer battery life but I just prefer the rounded sides of the Lite. The regular and OLED are slightly more angular. And what if the SN30 Pro battery needs to charge or I lose it? I'd rather use the Lite over the OLED. It's 150g lighter. Paying $100 or less for the Lite instead of double to triple for the OLED is beneficial. I don't get why people diss the Lite so much? It's my absolute favorite form factor of the Switch and it's also the cheapest entry into the Switch library. It's like the iPhone SE and mini of the Switch. I also own a modded PS Vita 2K for over 6 years and I love it. I love it more than my Switch Lite. It's my favorite handheld ever. I'm more of a PlayStation guy than Nintendo guy. Just added the nude patch for Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus and I'm having a blast! It's a great lesbian dating sim! 😂 I'll be getting a Steam Deck but I'll wait if I can find the 64 GB one for $200 on OfferUp. Maybe $250 will be the max I'll spend on it. My Vita 2K and Switch Lite were bought second-hand and I want to spend as little as possible on anything gaming-related. I'm talking over half the retail price for them. I'll buy most smartphones brand new, but with handhelds, I don't mind used as long as the condition is fantastic. And you can find a lot in pristine condition since most of these OfferUp sellers are in their 30s and 40s and no longer have time to game. Or perhaps their children don't use them any more. They're just video games! Why spend a fortune? Some get hacked and you don't have to spend another cent for a game. My Vita was used and I got it for $100 off Craigslist. Battery health is still over 90% after 6 years. Although I didn't really use it much. I've been using it a lot more this year since modding it last January. The ROG Ally with Z1 Extreme is much more powerful than the Steam Deck but I frankly hate Asus and Windows. I've only had bad experiences with Asus products. Seeing only 30 fps doesn't bother me at all. Switch is already considered weak ass with an SoC from 2015 and I'm still loving the graphics like the AC4: Black Flag port. I'm not into Chinese retro handhelds. I recently bought the Data Frog SF2000 for $20 and the damn thing stopped working after 30 minutes of gameplay. Junk! Did get a refund. My smartphones and modded Vita can cover retro games. I'll stick to reliable and reputable companies like Sony, Nintendo, and Valve.
I love the Nintendo Switch! It’s my favorite console of all time! My favorite video games for the system are Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Super Mario Maker 2! It’s such a joyful experience for the entire system!
Most of the switch games are trash ...every time when I turn on my switch i only play Pokemon sword and Pokemon Scarlet...i play all the sensible games on my ps4 and ps5...ghost of tushema, God of war ragnarok, Last of us 2, spideman miles Morales, uncharted, Callisto Protocol, Hogwarts legacy, need for speed unbound and the list goes on.
No mention of Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3 or Tears of the Kingdom and said odyssey was the top selling game when its #6 overall. Seems like this list was composed by someone during a hangover after a 3 minute Google search.

I only have one of these switch games so far (sad, i know..) but it already shows me how great switch games have been. ^^ No wonder why Nintendo has survived the longest in game making. (it's kind of weird there aren't more mario games, on this)
While I won't say it's a must for all Switch players I will say for RPG and particularly strategy RPG fans that Tactics Ogre Reborn is a must. A classic from the super famicom international audiences had to wait till a PS1 port for. It set the standard for the genera many failed to meet. Made by the same team that went on to make Final Fantasy tactics it's got a branching story line following a war between clans. Reborn took improvements from the PSP remake and made its own tweaks like fully voiced cut scenes. With 3 paths to follow the end of the story is the start with it's "World" mode allowing you to revisit past events, try paths you didn't take and collect dozens of unique characters, weapons and spells.
My favorite are Mario Kart 8 deluxe Mario party superstar Breath of the Wild Tears of Kingdom Splatoon 3 Kirby star Allies Kirby and forgotten land Pokemon brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Sonic Frontier

Breath of The Wild lacks any replay value whatsoever, the game is so samey and it is so long.

But yes, Sparks of Hope is a must play game, the same goes for Mario Strikers Battle League, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Super Mario 3D all stars. Other interesting games may include Mario Party Superstars/Super Mario Party/Team Sonic Racing/Mario & Sonic Tokyo Olympics/Newer Crash Bandicoot games.

I'm genuinely amazed that 3d world + bowsers fury isn't on here, its imo the best port on the switch, anyone can play it and it's co op but really fun on its own too, the only place I'd say it lacks is maybe the depth in movement, but besides that it's incredible, even on its own it would be a decent 60$ game but the fact they even added bowsers fury which is worth like $20-30 on its own imo is insane, bowsers fury is an incredible + hour experience, aswell as this splatoon 3 should've been here instead of splatoon 2, the community is more active and it improves om nearly everything

Been playing Smash Ultimate every single day for pver 3 years now.. and still going very strong..
The game I can’t get enough of wasn’t on the list, but I don’t care because I love it. It’s the Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door remake. I was thrilled for the release of this game because I was never able to play the original. The story is so fun to play, and it looks amazing. Also, something that’s kind of funny about Metroid Dread is that it was originally supposed to release on the 3DS, but those plans got cancelled.

I have a few of these games on this list.mario kart 8, smash, and pokemon legends. although on the list, I would’ve added WarioWare get it together, cause the fact you could play with the series characters opposed to just doing them in one simple stage gives you a variety of options to play, and there’s more than one way to complete the games. also pokemon sword and shield, and scarlet and violet. sword and shield for the simple style, plus it is sort of an introduction to some of the new mechanics that legends and S&V would bring in, like the wild area, and with S&V, it’s the same like legends, but also adds that turn based style, plus freaking you can complete the game how you want. there’s no set path.
My top 5 is 1 - Mario kart 8 deluxe 2 - super smash bros ultimate 3 - Mario Tennis Aces 4 - Super Mario odyssey 5 - The Legend of Zelda breath of the wild 🙂✌️ 👌 👍 🏴 🤝 🌍
Out of all Pokémon games I’ve played on the switch I really would say Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the best. It’s not just a masterpiece it’s a love letter to the Sinnoh region.
My favorite diamond and pearl Pokémon are Lucario Honchknow Drapion Gastrodon Leafeon Empoleon
And the twists in the game are perfect!
Best part is that it feels more like a proof of concept at it's current state. With some more polish and support the next Legends game (hopefully😢) will be even better.

The Nintendo Switch changed my life as a Mario fan. Like those of you who are Sonic fans even though I'm a fan of that franchise too, that ended up having poorly made recent Sonic games like Sonic 06, Sonic & The Black Knight, just the current Sonic games that were really criticized, there was the Mario side of that situation where after the recent greatest game Mario Kart 7 we mostly get the worst ones like Mario Party 9, NES Remix, Mario Party Island Tour, Paper Mario Sticker Star. There are 5 greatest games for the Wii U & 3DS so far but the rest were not really good & the American commercials for the Wii U & the 3DS were largely terrible.
Sonic Forces was amazing and really fun.

My Switch Lite History

Bought a turquoise for $90.

Sold for $110.

Bought a coral for $70.

All three were bought from OfferUp. Third time is definitely the charm.
The only reason I sold my first one was the left analog stick no longer could turn right after 7 months. Then I sold the coral (pink) one after only 2 days because I didn't like the color and wanted turquoise back. I only got the coral because the seller was willing to accept my $70 offer.
I net profited $70 on my two previous Lites. So I really only spent $30 on my third Lite. All three looked brand new but this current one I have definitely feels the most new. Has this anti-glare, smudge-resistant screen protector that makes the display look clear all the time.
Get Switch Lites on OfferUp if you're living in America. They go for $100 or less a lot. Prices will eventually go up. The 3DS is weaker hardware and goes for $150-$200 minimum. Same with the Vita. But I don't plan to ever sell my current Lite.
I can't stand the weight and width of the regular Switch and OLED. And I don't own a TV any way. I haven't gamed on a TV since 2019 with my PS4 slim. Now to prevent having my sticks wearing out fast like my first one, I pair my SN30 Pro and will try to do that at least 90% of the time.
If the analog sticks do break, I'll get them replaced with hall effect sensors. The GuliKit ones go for $25 from Amazon. I'll be more cautious this time knowing drift is a widespread problem. But I may get so used to using the SN30 Pro for the Lite, it may not matter any more.
Still waiting for my case which can create a kickstand so I can play Switch Lite in tabletop. I was worried with input lag but my SN30 Pro which I bought 2 years ago that looks like the SNES controller (same colors) works like a dream and I get rumble which the Lite can't do.
Stupid me. I didn't know how to pair my Bluetooth controller to my Switch Lite until last night! I could've prevented having the first one go out like that. Lesson learned. This now makes me open to the idea of getting a Steam Deck mainly because I'll likely play it with a BT controller most of the time and won't mind the large size.
I can do the same for the Switch OLED which offers longer battery life but I just prefer the rounded sides of the Lite. The regular and OLED are slightly more angular. And what if the SN30 Pro battery needs to charge or I lose it? I'd rather use the Lite over the OLED. It's 150g lighter.
Paying $100 or less for the Lite instead of double to triple for the OLED is beneficial. I don't get why people diss the Lite so much? It's my absolute favorite form factor of the Switch and it's also the cheapest entry into the Switch library. It's like the iPhone SE and mini of the Switch.
I also own a modded PS Vita 2K for over 6 years and I love it. I love it more than my Switch Lite. It's my favorite handheld ever. I'm more of a PlayStation guy than Nintendo guy. Just added the nude patch for Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus and I'm having a blast! It's a great lesbian dating sim! 😂
I'll be getting a Steam Deck but I'll wait if I can find the 64 GB one for $200 on OfferUp. Maybe $250 will be the max I'll spend on it. My Vita 2K and Switch Lite were bought second-hand and I want to spend as little as possible on anything gaming-related. I'm talking over half the retail price for them.
I'll buy most smartphones brand new, but with handhelds, I don't mind used as long as the condition is fantastic. And you can find a lot in pristine condition since most of these OfferUp sellers are in their 30s and 40s and no longer have time to game. Or perhaps their children don't use them any more.
They're just video games! Why spend a fortune? Some get hacked and you don't have to spend another cent for a game. My Vita was used and I got it for $100 off Craigslist. Battery health is still over 90% after 6 years. Although I didn't really use it much. I've been using it a lot more this year since modding it last January.
The ROG Ally with Z1 Extreme is much more powerful than the Steam Deck but I frankly hate Asus and Windows. I've only had bad experiences with Asus products. Seeing only 30 fps doesn't bother me at all. Switch is already considered weak ass with an SoC from 2015 and I'm still loving the graphics like the AC4: Black Flag port.
I'm not into Chinese retro handhelds. I recently bought the Data Frog SF2000 for $20 and the damn thing stopped working after 30 minutes of gameplay. Junk! Did get a refund. My smartphones and modded Vita can cover retro games. I'll stick to reliable and reputable companies like Sony, Nintendo, and Valve.
It sucks Pokemon Scarlet and Violet isn't on the list, but at least Legends Arceus is.

While I won't say it's a must for all Switch players I will say for RPG and particularly strategy RPG fans that Tactics Ogre Reborn is a must. A classic from the super famicom international audiences had to wait till a PS1 port for. It set the standard for the genera many failed to meet. Made by the same team that went on to make Final Fantasy tactics it's got a branching story line following a war between clans. Reborn took improvements from the PSP remake and made its own tweaks like fully voiced cut scenes. With 3 paths to follow the end of the story is the start with it's "World" mode allowing you to revisit past events, try paths you didn't take and collect dozens of unique characters, weapons and spells.
