    I totally agree with the social media point and being so attached to our phones. I just graduated college and about 3 months before graduating I deleted all my social media (except Facebook because I'm rarely on there) and at first it was like kicking an addiction but after awhile it was very freeing (I'm aware some people like social media influencers can't do that). I got Instagram back because I plan to start a blog but I also don't have my notifications on. And I'd really like to get in the habit of not even being on my phone the first 30 minutes of waking up. I think everyone is starting to realize less is more. One of my favorite quotes is 'If you didn't have it when you needed it, you'll never need it again.' We get so wrapped up in things and likes and validation that we often forget that the only validation we need is from God and ourselves. Long comment, but this video really touched me.       YES. I truly think ppl get addicted to watching other peoples every move and getting updates about them. The more time spent watching = less time focusing and building. Thank you for watching boo :)

      I usually go to sleep to music every single night and the one night I didn't.. girl I had the best sleep ever!! Silence is OK! We're all consumers of information and it can be overwhelming at times especially when we stay plugged in.

    I've only been on TH-cam(as a content creator ig) for about a year, but I understand social media attention effecting how you view yourself. Watching other people struggle with this has helped me to post content without worrying too much about how other people feel about it since I'm happy with it 😁

    I realized several months ago that social media can be extremely detrimental to the psyche. I deleted everything except for TH-cam and IG. TH-cam I use for several things (news, music, recipes, etc.) and IG I don't use so I didn't bother deleting. Everything else had to go. Decluttering all aspects of your life is key to keeping your sanity.

      everything is ok in moderation I truly believe that. Man I hit a creative block and I couldn't figure out why until I tried the push notification thing.

    I really needed this. As soon as I wake up I literally check Snap, IG (theshaderoom can take forever) and then it's onto Morning TH-cam vlogs... This was just confirmation that I really need to get back to Tiffany and focus on other things! I REALLY need that tea too! Lol. Thanks for sharing.

      Which to me makes sense (lack of motivation) because when you're focused on everybody else you don't have time to focus on yourself. I'm starting next week! Kind of "distraught" about it but I'm still going to just DO it! Keep making moves and growing sis

    I'm so glad I watched this. You're keeping me on the right track. I've been going through a life transition for almost a year now (divorce just finalized almost 2 weeks ago), and slowly I've been detoxing in every aspect of my life. The social media portion hit the nail on the head and I need to do the same thing with my notifications...but detoxing my space most definitely hit home. I know I'll never be a minimalist because I love the cozy feel, and love space and for it to be filled. But it's been long overdue for me to detox my space, and I'm happy with the progress I've made thus far.

    I agree with the social media detox. I had to delete my FB and IG app off my phone for a while. It was taking too much of my time! I needed a detox from people's drama they usually post. I'm not sure when I'll be ready to download the apps again lol P.S I'm in no rush either 🙈

    Yes as soon as I get up I turn my alarm off and check my notifications. Then I'm mad when I'm running outta time to do other things in the morning. I'm going to try to wait until I get everything done!

    Haha. Those push notifications was the first thing I cut off when I switch to this iPhone. I was annoyed within the first hour and I don't even get that many likes or comments so I can only imagine. This was a beautiful well done video.

    One way I detox my body is to eat lots of fruits specifically watermelon, im not a fan of it but it really detoxifys my body💪! P.s it might make you go to the bathroom often😂

    Wow! This video is awesome. It's interesting what you state about social media...I deleted my Facebook and Instgram finally for good for similar reasons. I struggled with this for years. Yeah, I need to detox and I need my own space. A while back I thought I was moving to ATL so I threw many things away which I do on a regular basis because I can't stand unecessary stuff! 🙂 I could also relate to not having much growing up or not having a wealthy family. Great video...real stuff.

    I've been in a slump, between comparing myself on sm with friends, or my 14 year old body. I've been going down a rabit Hoke of making myself sad. I deleted Snapchat and Instagram and will keep them off for a while. How do I not compare my body?
