What an excellent review. Unlike other videos around here, the video is crystal clear, I can understand every single word you say, you're not waving the gun around constantly so we can get a good look at it and it doesn't sound like you're ad libbing dialog as we go along. What a refreshing change. The other folks that put out laughably poor quality reviews should take note. I can get one at dealer cost (
@Icarryone yeah, it's literally true in a sense. Unfortunately, here in California, even if we can get the mags we can't buy the gun. That is unless it comes up on the 2nd hand market where you can often pay 2-3x times retail price for off roster guns.
Thank you Sr. for your video! There are many that upload videos and talk like if they were Rap Singers or like if they were on steroids. You talk clear and concise; you don't talk slow, you don't talk fast, just the right way. You try to inform! They try to sale! Those guys should watch you video and learn. Thanks again Sr.
Great stuff sir! You got yourself a subscriber this morning and that is because I was watching a review of your favorite 10 millimeters and I am so happy you included the carbine. And I honestly didn't even know about the brand tanfoglio until watching your review and cz clones are one of my brother's favorites I'm beginning to understand why and thinking about joining in his passion for them. Thanks again.
Very nice review. Have been thinking about taking the Nestea plunge for a 10mm but didn't want to shell out $500+. This model is within budget AND it seems very well made! Thanks for sharing.
If you like 357 mag you'll love 10mm. It's not a fad. It's 357 in a modern auto. It's good. And it's best when you reload because like 357 a 10mm can be down loaded to 40 for range fun and training. My M20 runs stock without failures on light plinkers through a bear load I made. The only thing I don't like is losing brass. You never lose brass with a revolver. So if you like 357 you'll like 10mm.
$500 is just the pistol, buddy. Taking this to the range for years on a "steady diet" of 10mm ammo costs big bucks. Skip 10mm unless you live near bears. Even then, skip 10mm & go for .44 magnum.
Great review. Nicely done. I took down my first deer with a 10 mm pistol this past deer season. Very exciting. It was a 40 yard shot with iron sights. I just picked up the EAA 10 mm and a chest rig. Gonna us it as backup for hog, deer and bear hunting.
Your review of this firearm helped me decide to go out and buy one. I picked one up from my local FFL dealer. Out the door for $429.53. And per your video I picked up a second magazine, $21.95. I wanted more mags, but he had only one in stock. I prepaid him for 3 more mags. Again thank you for your top notch review.
I just wish EAA would use dovetailed sights for those of us that like swapping to night sights (usually the cost of machining them will cost as much as the gun itself...)
Thanks for the straight forward informational video. Have fired a few 10mm at range, personal preference, like the weight of steel Tanfoglio to keep recoil down
Just picked one of these up used from a pawn shop.I owned glock 20 10 mm before & sold it because of money issues.I've been wanting another 10 mm camping/bear gun here in Az.I took a chance on this gun,used...and I luv it.Really good shooter. No hiccups....yet at least
I just got into the 10mm game after a 2 year "hem-haw" trying to choose a platform. I picked a Glock 20 eventually, but after hearing your review touch on exactly what my concerns were, I wonder if I should have made another choice. The additional. 45 slide really would have had an impact, along with the Norma standard rounds.
Watch my video on top 10mm picks for 2016. I offer some advice for Glock 20 owners in that video. Link provided free of charge for my valued viewers: th-cam.com/video/WBsZw7Q3u8c/w-d-xo.html
Excellent 10 mm reviews, thank you. I was wondering about the recoil, since this gun is much lighter than the steel-framed models. Watching you fire it, it looks like there is a considerably more recoil and specifically - more muzzle flip than one might see in the steel-framed guns by Tanfoglio and other brands. I'm personally looking for a value-priced gun, so it narrows down to either Tanfoglio in polymer or steel, or the Rock Island single or double stack models (I'm leaning toward Rock double stack based on your reviews). Would you care to please comment on the felt recoil between the models I just listed? And specifically, how comparatively long it takes after firing to get the pistol back down and on target for a follow-up shot. I'm not recoil-sensitive, but want to get my follow-up shots off as quickly as possible.
It's been my experience that the lighter polymer framed 10mm's do have a bit more felt recoil - just simple physics. With full power ammo, this polymer framed Tanfoglio model does handle recoil better than any other polymer framed 10mm I've had experience with. It's strongest points are it's accuracy and dependability. Taking those points into consideration, one well placed shot from any 10mm will end almost any threat. For me, It's not about how fast can I get rounds off - it's all about how accurately I can place those rounds. Anything else just comes down to what handgun would I prefer to launch those rounds from.
Now that ammo is gong down we can all get back out to the compound and practice, muscle memory comes back you can shoot this handgun well I have one love it
Thanks for the video, this has helped me make a decision on which 10mm to get. As you mentioned I'm on a budget but I still want a good 10 mmmm that can take full power loads.
Thank you for a very informative review sir. These pistols look so much like my very first firearm, an Alfa Combat that I bought about eleven years ago, and sold about six years ago. The trigger on that wasn't much to write home about, so for many years I avoided CZ clones altogether, and focused on S&W revolvers instead. Until about a month ago, where I put down some money for a Sphinx AT2000 S. I have not received it yet, but boy do I look forward to that.
Would the 20 lb recoil spring be necessary for the steel version carrying Underwood 180 grain? It seems to be pretty stout ammo. I've been considering either the full size or compact, but trying to budget out all the essentials.
Been a few years. I have same . Issues will not feed after 1st shot. Purchased recently. Just got 4 different manufacturer 10mm. Hope will cycle. Going Saturday to range. Thanks for video. Yup I'm Sub
It isn't that the frames crack easily, it's people shooting full power 10mm rounds without installing the correct recoil spring. Allowing the slide to repeatedly smash into the slide stop on the frame is one of the fastest ways I know of ruining a 10mm - polymer or otherwise.
My understanding is that the earlier roundtop Witness uppers were thinner, and they are the ones that cracked around the ejection port. But the newer style uppers with the slab sides and top are beefed up, so they don't crack. I still upgrade springs as I move up the power level, to prevent that slamming, bottoming-out effect.
Thank you sir for the review. I am looking at purchasing one in the next couple days as my deer hunting backup carry pistol and was reluctant about the polymer being durable enough for 10mm. Thanks again for the reassurance
Nice video...thank you! I have an all-steel Witness in 10mm and it's a great shooter, but also a bit of a boat anchor. I have an 18# Wolff recoil spring and a Henning recoil spring guide in mine. Perhaps I should have gone with a polymer frame instead...
Nice review! That's a very good looking handgun. The first gun I bought when I turned 21 was a Glock 20. I still own it, and it's still one of my favorites. If I had to go to war, that's what I'd carry, and if I had to sell everything else and keep 1 gun, I'd keep the G20. And I can shoot .40 S&W out of it with zero modifications!
Great vid, as always. Question: of your 10mm pistols, which would you say is the most accurate in follow-up/quick-shooting? (The polymer build brings this model into comfy carry territory as opposed to boat-anchor steel range guns, but I'm assuming less weight means snappier -- although the CZ's ergonomics apparently mitigate much of that.) I wonder if there's a ported-barrel option that isn't hideously expensive, or if RIA's awesome fiber optic night-sights would fit on it....
Fast or quick follow up shots and full power 10mm rounds seldom appear in the same sentence. That, of course, would depend on your definition of quick. What you saw in the video is about as fast as I can get accurately placed 10mm rounds headed downrange with any of them - but that's me. As far as I know Glock is the only manufacturer offering factory porting - the 20C. Lone wolf also makes ported barrels for the Glocks. Other than that, your option would be to have your 10mm custom ported - very expensive. Unlike Tanfoglio's elite series pistols, the slides for these polymer models do not come with a removable front sight. Their way of keeping the price down on these models, I suspect. No fiber optic sight option for these models. I hope I've managed to answer your questions to some degree.
As with ALL of "Icarryone's" reviews, this is excellent information! Sadly this Gentleman can never run for political office... He says what is NO B.S. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK :-)
That only applies to the older "round top" models. All of the newer models have the redesigned slides like the one shown in this video. No issues with these newer models.
I'm trapped between no love for the Glock 20 Gen4 (just not a fan of the trigger) because of its reputation for reliability (due to simplicity) and reversible mag catch, and the Witness Polymer which looks far more attractive but the Interwebs are filled with reliability gripes. These are the only two 10mm's light enough (IMO) to carry. What to do??????? (no, buying both is not an option.)
In spite of what the self styled internet gun gurus on the forums have to say, this Tanfoglio polymer framed model is the very reason I no longer own a G20.
I feel like I'm in a similar boat. All I own right now are glocks, and while I love them it does get a bit samey. If I'm going to chamber a the hardest semi-auto cartridge in the land I'd feel cheap putting it in the Honda Civic of guns. I think the ergonomics of the EAA fit a heavy hitting cartridge like the 10MM the same way a V8 would fit a Cadillac. Not to say the quality is better but the handling is just not there with a glock vs. a CZ clone.
Sir, and To Whom It May Concern: I am looking into the feasibility of having (1) of these full size 10 mm for wilderness carry. Is there any difference in recoil between the Steel frame vs the Polymer frame. If you were limited to buying one, either a Steel framed or Polymer framed version which would you purchase? I am looking for a durable wilderness protection 10 mm handgun that will be able to take sustainable full hard-hitting loades carrying such. Thank You for your answer.
Polymer framed pistols have a tendency to be a little lighter than steel framed models. Lighter usually means more felt recoil in almost any caliber. When it comes to the 10mm round, this polymer framed Tanfoglio's design sucks up recoil exceptionally well - but since you stipulated that a choice had to be made and only one 10mm chosen - I would stick with my Dan Wesson Razorback.
Ironically I found that the Glock 17 has lesser recoil then many steel frame pistols. Based on that experience I lean towards the polymer frame, as well as Firepower and pricing. I carried a 1911 for many years as an Army MP. It is a good design. The CZ design has more firepower and a better price. I am on a budget and want firepower.I might as well but go with a Ruger Redhawk as with a 8 round Dan Wesson. I will be checking out the polymer frame Witness 10mm and if I go with it change the recoil spring to a 20 pound spring as you suggested. Thank You for your abswer. You have excellent videos. Keep up the good work
Is there any body making a double stack 10mm in Carry model that is worth it? I have seen the carry models on the Tanfoglio website but not the EAA website and now I found a Grand Power P40 with either 3.6" or 4.25" barrels. Do you have any experience with the Grand Powers? Is there anyone making a good full power defense 10mm round? If not, were is a good place to find full power load data?
I've found the 10mm Tanfoglio P-Carry to be a pretty decent compact carry option. On the other hand, all I'm willing to say about the Grand Power P40 is that I bought one, had numerous problems with it and got rid of it - wasn't impressed. As far as 10mm ammo goes, Underwood, Buffalo Bore and Double Tap sell the real deal "full power" rounds.
Thanks, I went down this morning and ordered a P-Carry. My question now is, is there a difference in Magazines between the Full size Steel frame and Polymer frame Witnesses?
yeah I was just looking at that okay thanks again for your time I appreciate it I got a Glock 20 Gen 4 can I just leave that stock would tolerate these pressures
Just to follow up: it sounds like you've fed this a pretty steady diet of real 10mm loads (not "FBI" loads or factory neuters). The pistol is holding up just fine? No signs of excessive wear, etc.?
Absolutely none. Their newer slide design has pretty much cleared up any issues the older models had. I don't shoot any watered down 10mm rounds unless I'm reclaiming brass to load real 10mm rounds.
Will this Tanfoglio Polymer-framed pistol in 10mm (loaded to Norma specs) hold up to the firing of thousands of rounds of hot ammo? I have no experience with polymer frames and am concerned about the frame's integrity after a steady run of hot ammo. Any help or advice is appreciated. I enjoyed your video on this firearm.
I'm not exactly sure how many full power rounds I've fired in this Tanfoglio to date - but it's quite a few. So far, I've noticed no appreciable wear of any kind.
Is there any risk of dinging up the crown with that style of stand? It's an aesthetically pleasing way to present the firearm, but that would be my only concern.
Good video! How has the polymer frame he!d up with 10mm power/punishment? I've in several different forums the frames crack or fail. I would like to get the Witness Polymer 10mm with 4.5" barrel; just don't know if it would hold up to full 10mm !made. Please advise. Thanks much.
Seriously, you actually listen to what the self styled internet gun gurus on the forums have to say? You discover that most of them have absolutely zero hands on experience with the firearms they love to discuss. Nevertheless, a number of years ago there were a few slide, not frame failures. This prompted Tanfoglio to redesign the slide - no further issues were ever noted. Perhaps the gurus on the forums need to do a bit of catching up. I can assure you that this polymer framed Tanfoglio is a good investment.
Honeslty the eaa is going to fit your hand better if you have small to medium hands. The over accuracy will most likely be better as well with the interior slide design. In my opinion the cz75 is the best 9mm on the market concerning the grips and feel. But that's just me. So if the grip is anything close to the cz75 its going to feel much better than the beefy glock. Now I will say however that I purchased a g40 mos 10mm last month and had the grips shaved down and revamped to basically match or get as close as they could to the size and dimensions of my cz75. Turned out great!! Maybe a tad bit thicker but not by much. Then I had the beaver tail worked on sot hat it stuck out more (again trying yo match the feel of my cz75) turned out ok not much difference. Overall I think its a huge improvement and pretty close to my cz . So its up to you. Aftermarket parts for glock is extensive as well so you may take that into consideration. Just for shits and giggles I had my mos ported in a v10 design, purchased a match grade threaded barrel and compensator. Had bith barrels TiN coated. It looks a tad awkward with the threaded barrel and compensator when you see the slide ported but no barrel porting lol. But looks absolutely beastly when the ported barrel is in there all gold and shit.
Did a price check today, Tanfoglio does not import it standard in my country and price would be a little under $2000 + 20% ...I thought it would be a little bit more expensive, maybe in the 600+ region, but this is sadly not an option for me.
Icarryone, thank you for this video and your critique I do have a question for you. How concealable is this weapon? Also, would you know if there is significant velocity loss with lets say the Witness compact in the 3.6 barrel length. Thank you JB
I would like to know your thoughts on the tanfoglio p match pro 10mm. And if it's worth paying the extra money for. I own the P match pro But there's just not a lot out there on it.
hi I just got a 10 millimeter and I am looking for some proper loads for my pistol what do you recommend I was going to order some double taps but some people say they don't hold true feet per second what do you recommend can you please help me
Awesome video (as always), thx for sharing. One question, to achieve 1300 fps with your 180gr bullets, what kind of powder do you prefer using for this purpose? I don't ask you to share your formula, just wish to know what powder? I have a few powders waiting in line to be used (Titegroup, Win 291, CFE Pistol, Lil Gun and 800x. )
I've had no problem duplicating the Norma load using Alliant (Hercules) Blue Dot and Hogdon Longshot. Both are very clean burning powders. I haven't fully worked up a load for the 10mm using CFE Pistol yet - but it looks promising.
I've done a bit of reading and it seems that with the 20lb recoil spring some people are having failures to feed. Apparently the slide comes forward much faster and can sometimes close before the magazine spring can get another round into place. They're remedying this by installing a stronger magazine spring, but you lose a round that way IIRC. Have you noticed any problems like that? Have you had to replace your magazine springs?
I primarily use this pistol as a high capacity deep woods gun. What I've been using is a generic "tankers style" shoulder rig that happens to fit most large frame semi autos. So far, I haven't invested in a more expensive holster specifically made for this handgun.
Neutered, I just love your videos. Ok, can you recommend the BEST 10mm for the cash. I’ll be carrying it mainly during hunting season and as a weapon while camping and walking around in the woods.
1:39 Yeah, I have a G40 long slide and G21 .45ACP upper to swap into my G20 EDCC gun, and I love the flexibility. I was curious about doing the same with these Tanfoglios, since the company brags about its easy caliber swaps. I wanted to slap a 6 inch Xtreme upper on a Match Elite lower. But looking through their website parts catalog was confusing, since it had 4.5, 4.75, and 6 inch barrels/uppers, and it was inconsistent as to which one they considered their "long slide". (It's the 4.75 inch steel models, BTW.) They cleared it up for me, and emphasized that you can't swap different lengths between different frames. If you want to swap calibers, you must maintain the original barrel length for that model. Darn.
I purchased this 10mm polymer based on your review. Will fire it in a couple of days. Where did you purchase the 45 barrel, slide and magazines? Is that 20 pound spring the same one that fits the Glock.
You can purchase the conversion slide and magazines directly from EAA's website. I purchased the heavier recoil spring from Wolff Gun Springs: www.gunsprings.com/
I recently bought one of these and after one session at the range I came back home to clean it. One of the ears the slide rides on had broken off. I don't understand why they would use plastic instead of steel inserts on a 10mm. Needless to say, this will be my last one of these.
what do you think of the Glock 40 with 6" barrel? Im not much of a Glock fan at all and do not own one but am considering the Glock 40 to get as much out of the 10mm as possible
I was wondering what he meant by "trapped behind enemy lines" (I would think you'd want as much as you could carry), then I figured it out! LOL! Good one!

I hate to sound like a hard-ass - but I'm reluctant to do that. No two pistols are exactly alike. What might prove safe in my handgun, could be disastrous in yours. Sorry brother.
+Icarryone I understand, I was a little hesitant on asking but I just wandered what load you were using so once I got the gun and the spring I could use the proper full power 10 mm load knowing full well what could happen if my gun would be ok with it or not but thanks for responding
If you intend to reload for the 10mm, the best policy is to use commercially available reloading data like that available (free of charge) on most of the powder manufacture's websites. There's plenty of reloading data available for the 10mm that will allow you to safely load rounds equivalent to the original Norma 10mm ammo. This data should be worked up to gradually while watching for signs of excessive pressure in your particular handgun.
I load the Nosler 135 grain JHP to 1600 FPS using Longshot. 800X can work well too. I also load the Lee Tumble Lube 175 grain cast bullet using Titegroup. Not going to give charge data but you can find it at the 10 MM forum, google it
Looks like they have gone up a little since posting this review - try this link for one considerably less than $590.00: www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411549611/EAA+999061+Witness+Polymer+14%2B1+10mm+4.5
Wow that was a fast reply! Was not expecting a reply at all since this is an old video. Thank you! I am moving up to Sitka Alaska for the next year working at a remote fish hatchery and I am researching back up sidearms for bear protection. I am thinking the Glock 20 but I like to look at all of my options.
A True Wisconsinite Stick with the Glock. Proven to be reliable & can handle the heavy 10mm loadings. According to my several years of research, getting a lemon Tanfoglio is not uncommon & they will not fix it. Getting a bad Glock is all but unheard of. And Glock will honor it's reputation.
The Norma factory specification was to drive a 180 grain bullet at 1300 feet per second. Loading data that safely duplicates this load is what you're looking for. Sierra's reloading data is usually fairly conservative - you may or may not find it there.
Idiot question: So from personal experience i know that i can run .40 in a G20 with no conversions. Simply load em up and shoot. Can i do the same with this?
With the heavier recoil spring I've installed, I doubt .40 S&W rounds would even cycle it. They do offer this model in .40 S&W - If you like shooting .40 why not just buy a handgun chambered for it?
What an excellent review. This is, more or less, the format I've adopted for all of my reviews.
Trapped behind enemy lines great phrase I had a good laugh.
In my opinion, that's a factual statement.
Yes it is I happen to live in one of those states. good day sir
That was worth the price of admission for sure. Lol
I saw this comment before I watched the video and was waiting to see in what context it was used I agree 1000%

Nice. A good budget 10mm option in CZ styling. Oh yeah.
For the money, it's the best polymer framed 10mm on the market.

why don't you just go online and order some magazines from magpul...
Wow behind enemy lines that was a good - homie- another great video from the gun master of truth and knowledge about firearms
Thanks! 👍😊
Man that 10mm has some power behind it hitting those st3el plates. I want a 10mm so bad. Great content!
I have a number of 10mm reviews uploaded. I only review the ones that I think are an excellent purchase choice.
I just wish EAA would use dovetailed sights for those of us that like swapping to night sights (usually the cost of machining them will cost as much as the gun itself...)

Just saw your reply to my question on this 10mm polymer framed Witness. Thanks for the knowledgeable reply. Think I 'll have to get one of these!
Thanks for the straight forward informational video. Have fired a few 10mm at range, personal preference, like the weight of steel Tanfoglio to keep recoil down
👍😎
Always enjoy your reviews.
Thanks, I appreciate that.
Great review, hadn't considered getting a polymer 10mm (till now), can't wait to see more of your gun reviews!
Neutered ammo, (love it)!

i saw one last week at my local gun store they wanted 2k for it . crazy rihht or ?
Great commentary. Great shots. Great insight. You're a pro
Thank you John.
I can't speak to the 10mm version but I can for the 9mm version and it's top notch. I'd expect the 10mm to be no different
I've had no issues with this one. Well worth the money.

I'm pretty sure you read my mind, and then say - let's review what he's thinking about. Great info! Thank you!!!
Someone recently said I was physic - I don't know, maybe they said psychotic? My hearing isn't what it used to be.
Excellent 10 mm reviews, thank you.

Love's that one 👏👏👏

I appreciate the opinion from an experienced shooter😁

Thanks for the video, this has helped me make a decision on which 10mm to get. As you mentioned I'm on a budget but I still want a good 10 mmmm that can take full power loads.
This one certainly has a lot of full power rounds fired through it - absolutely no issues.
Thank you for a good honest review, just subscribed. I'm looking at a 10mm in the near future, great candidate.
👍😎
Great quality video. Thanks.
My pleasure MIO.
very nice gun. I like the way it takes on that cz style as far as looks go.
As far as function goes too.
I've heard some good things about Sphinx handguns.
I like your reviews. The only thing you didn't cover that concerns me is the trigger. You don't complain about it, so it must be good. Thanks.
👍😎
I have the all steel version of this. Love it! I also went to a 20lb spring for my reloads. (Longshot under a 180gr)
My standard 10mm load is also a 180 pushed along by Longshot.
great minds think alike! :)
Yup I'm Sub
👍🤠
Great video and I don’t often compliment videos.
I appreciate that!
had one in a .40 loved it. however I heard the frames on the 10 mm crack easy. Have you heard anything about that.
Thanks for the video and nice shooting !
Thanks Thomas.
Thank you sir for the review. I am looking at purchasing one in the next couple days as my deer hunting backup carry pistol and was reluctant about the polymer being durable enough for 10mm. Thanks again for the reassurance
Glad you found the video helpful.
Nice video...thank you! I have an all-steel Witness in 10mm and it's a great shooter, but also a bit of a boat anchor. I have an 18# Wolff recoil spring and a Henning recoil spring guide in mine. Perhaps I should have gone with a polymer frame instead...
Any reason you can't own both?
First, I must say you have a GREAT video voice!
03:06 - So WHICH companies still make full-power 10mm rounds, and where can I obtain it??
Buffalo Bore, Double Tap and Underwood are three companies that come to mind. You can also order ammo from them online.
Sig Sauer makes a full power round that gets over 625lbs of energy.
Icarryone I was going to say the exact same three. Underwood to down right affordable, as well.
Corbon makes a stout round as well.
Love this channel gracias amigo for the video
My pleasure.
okay thank you what would be a second choice if I can't get hold of Underwood for instance
Buffalo Bore.
Or Double Tap
Nice review! That's a very good looking handgun. The first gun I bought when I turned 21 was a Glock 20. I still own it, and it's still one of my favorites. If I had to go to war, that's what I'd carry, and if I had to sell everything else and keep 1 gun, I'd keep the G20.
And I can shoot .40 S&W out of it with zero modifications!
A lot of people like the G20 - I have one myself.
great video, love the 10mm! I just liked and subscribed.
Thanks and welcome aboard.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK :-)
Thank you Mark. I appreciate your vote of confidence - even if I'm not running for office.
Thanks for the work!
Got a kimber 200 gr. Pushing 1300 love it...
That has some real punch behind it.
Thanks for another great video
Glad you enjoyed it Derek.
Great video. Just picked one of these up !
Good choice!
Those full power 10mm rounds really knock those plates
Those targets are 6 pounds each and full power 10mm rounds smack them pretty hard.
I've read about cracked slides/frames in some of the EAA Tanfoglio pistols chambered in 10mm. Has this issue been resolved?
Some time ago, Tanfoglio redesigned their slides and this is no longer a problem.
That's good to know. Thanks for the reply.
If you purchase a used tanfoglio 10mm or 40 S&W, look for cracks below the ejection port. Very thin
I think it's because the gun used to be a 15+1 gun and and they switched out a 14+1 magazines to help with feeding.
Research cracked slides below ejection port on used tanfoglios
I feel like I'm in a similar boat. All I own right now are glocks, and while I love them it does get a bit samey. If I'm going to chamber a the hardest semi-auto cartridge in the land I'd feel cheap putting it in the Honda Civic of guns. I think the ergonomics of the EAA fit a heavy hitting cartridge like the 10MM the same way a V8 would fit a Cadillac. Not to say the quality is better but the handling is just not there with a glock vs. a CZ clone.
I love the 10 mm i have a glock and a rock island double stack 18 rounder.i may have to try one of these out.
Excellent choice!
Sir, and To Whom It May Concern:
I am looking into the feasibility of having (1) of these full size 10 mm for wilderness carry.
Keep up the good work
What would happen if you shot hot loads with the factory spring?
Shoot enough of them and you'll eventually damage the frame beyond repair.
Looks like they are using the same frame for both the short and long barrel versions.
Yes, they are the same frame.
Can you give me the link that you got the lone wolf spring you replaced it with?
www.gunsprings.com/
I use the same 10mm magazine in both my steel & polymer frame Tanfoglio's. They will also work just fine in the 10mm P-Carry.
yeah I was just looking at that okay thanks again for your time I appreciate it I got a Glock 20 Gen 4 can I just leave that stock would tolerate these pressures
I found that I needed a heavier recoil spring in my G20 for full power ammo. I recommend the 20 pound replacement spring.
Where can you find the conversation slides for the polymer and steel models beside the eaa website.
Unless you can find someone willing to part with one, they are pretty much the only other source.
I NO THIS IS AN OLD VIDEO. BUT QUESTON CAN YOU CHANGE FRONT SIGHT ON POLY. I JUST STARTED LOOK.
Unfortunately, no.

Is there any risk of dinging up the crown with that style of stand? It's an aesthetically pleasing way to present the firearm, but that would be my only concern.
These stands present no danger to the firearm whatsoever.
Does this model have a removable front sight? It's hard to tell in the video. Thanks in advance!
Tom
On this model, the front sight is milled into the slide and is not removable.
I read they fixed that issue few years back.
I have the Tangfolio witness elite match 10 mm,great firearm ,live it
My elite match (10mm) is one of my favorite CZ style handguns.
Icarryone ,for the money you can't beat it
What are the pros and cons between this Tanfoglio and the Glock 20SF?
That would depend more on your preferences than mine.
None of my local gun shops have the Tanfoglio in stock to test. I'm wondering which one you would say handles recoil better.
For me, the ergonomics and design of the Tanfoglio seems to handle recoil better than my Glock 20 - just my opinion.
I'd think the Glock 40 handles the best with recoil, 6 inch barrel and all
Did a price check today, Tanfoglio does not import it standard in my country and price would be a little under $2000 + 20% ...I thought it would be a little bit more expensive, maybe in the 600+ region, but this is sadly not an option for me.
That's too bad - sorry to hear that.
I'll just have to look harder, but I did some across a very nice .357 so not all is lost.
Icarryone, thank you for this video and your critique I do have a question for you. How concealable is this weapon? Also, would you know if there is significant velocity loss with lets say the Witness compact in the 3.6 barrel length. Thank you JB
If its comfortable for you to conceal a full size 1911, you're in the ballpark.
Thanks that sums it up greatly!
I would like to know your thoughts on the tanfoglio p match pro 10mm. And if it's worth paying the extra money for. I own the P match pro But there's just not a lot out there on it.
I haven't had a chance to examine the Match Pro - so, I don't know that much about it. Sorry.
hi I just got a 10 millimeter and I am looking for some proper loads for my pistol what do you recommend I was going to order some double taps but some people say they don't hold true feet per second what do you recommend can you please help me
I personally like the 10mm ammunition offered by Underwood. Their ammo is indeed full power.
I am having a hell of a time finding this 10MM pistol. Can you tell the best place to find one? Thanks!
I just checked my usual sources and they don't seem to have any in stock either. A very similar 10mm is EAA's Pro Match.
Robert Belcher buds gun shop just put it in the layaway today😁
July 2021 : anyone know where to find caliber change kits for this firearm ?
EAA's Website.
With the ammo I shoot - no such issues.
Excellent. Thank you for the reply!
3:39 My instructor told me never to cross my thumbs. Why?
You'd need to ask him.
Just picked up my sig sauer p220 stainless elite...time to do serious hiking
Yeah buddy!
I looked at Galco and I didn't see a holster for this. Can you recommend one?
I primarily use this pistol as a high capacity deep woods gun. What I've been using is a generic "tankers style" shoulder rig that happens to fit most large frame semi autos. So far, I haven't invested in a more expensive holster specifically made for this handgun.
Thank you for the rapid reply. I've done a bit of surfing the web and the options are skimpy.
Neutered, I just love your videos. Ok, can you recommend the BEST 10mm for the cash. I’ll be carrying it mainly during hunting season and as a weapon while camping and walking around in the woods.
For the money, I recommend this one.
Darn.
Yes, that's the way it works with Tanfoglio handguns.
Have you shot hollow points out of this gun if so how does it run with the hollow points? Thanks
Yes, I've ran several different styles of hollow points through this pistol - and it ran them without any issues.
@@Icarryone ok Thanks
Great review. Thank you.
My pleasure Nathan.
I purchased this 10mm polymer based on your review. Will fire it in a couple of days. Where did you purchase the 45 barrel, slide and magazines?
Is that 20 pound spring the same one that fits the Glock.
You can purchase the conversion slide and magazines directly from EAA's website. I purchased the heavier recoil spring from Wolff Gun Springs: www.gunsprings.com/
great vid as always
Why, thank you very much!
I recently bought one of these and after one session at the range I came back home to clean it. One of the ears the slide rides on had broken off. I don't understand why they would use plastic instead of steel inserts on a 10mm. Needless to say, this will be my last one of these.
I've had no issues with this one whatsoever. ( 1000+ rounds so far. )
what do you think of the Glock 40 with 6" barrel? Im not much of a Glock fan at all and do not own one but am considering the Glock 40 to get as much out of the 10mm as possible
I have the G-20 but I honestly prefer the ergonomics of this one. For me, its a little easier to keep on target.
I was wondering what he meant by "trapped behind enemy lines" (I would think you'd want as much as you could carry), then I figured it out! LOL! Good one!
Deciphered accurately. 👍

Just for giggles, can you shoot a steady diet of .40 S&W through this or any 10mm handgun?
I've never tried it. If I really want to shoot .40 S&W, I prefer shooting it in a handgun that's actually chambered for that round.
Love the channel
Thank you kindly.
Sir it’s fit the lower receiver of that gun to 9mm mapp1 fs?
I don't think so.
can you send me a pm or tell me what powder and charge you use to reload these 10 mm also what brand projectiles are you using ?
Not going to give charge data but you can find it at the 10 MM forum, google it
I should add this power level is safe in my STEEL frame EAA Match, but I wouldn't load that hot in a polymer pistol
Great to know about, thanks!
My pleasure JG.
Where did you find it for so cheap? I only see it for $590
Looks like they have gone up a little since posting this review - try this link for one considerably less than $590.00: www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/411549611/EAA+999061+Witness+Polymer+14%2B1+10mm+4.5
Would you go poly or steel if you had to choose only 1 for range and possible carry?
To be honest, I lean toward all steel handguns.
@@Icarryone that's what I was thinking and thanks for the reassurance 😊
Great vid. Very Informative
How could I get the Norma load?
I use Sierra book
The Norma factory specification was to drive a 180 grain bullet at 1300 feet per second. Loading data that safely duplicates this load is what you're looking for. Sierra's reloading data is usually fairly conservative - you may or may not find it there.
Good shooting sir. Curious why you don't extend your arms though?
Arthritis.
Icarryone sorry to hear that sir. I find taking glucosamine helps my knees. Not sure if it would help with severe arthritis.
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Many thumbs up for this video. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed the video Thomas.
Idiot question:
So from personal experience i know that i can run .40 in a G20 with no conversions. Simply load em up and shoot. Can i do the same with this?
With the heavier recoil spring I've installed, I doubt .40 S&W rounds would even cycle it. They do offer this model in .40 S&W - If you like shooting .40 why not just buy a handgun chambered for it?
