@@tarasbulba3190 deltas have been problematic especially earlier models, feel cheap, wouldn’t waste money on a delta, bought a bright finished from factory early model colt king cobra 4”.
My lucky day! I stumbled across your reviews and I am glad I did. I am a 10mm fan and I reload. Presently I have the RIA single stack 1911 but will be adding another one to my stable. I look forward to watching all your reviews.
I got into the 10mm game by using the Smith and Wesson line of 10mm autos that have been out of production for a while. It takes a while to learn what all the different model numbers mean as there were a quite a few options with these guns. I have owned the 1006, which was a 5 inch barreled traditional double action with the slide mounted safety. I still currently own at 1066 which is the 4 and 1/4 in barreled version of that gun. They made those two barrel lengths in a pistol with a Sig style frame decocker and a double action only version as well. They were good solid stainless steel pistols that were tough as nails and reliable to shoot.
The 10 mm is my favorite pistol caliber.... I have a couple of S&W 1006 , a Para hunter elite, the glock 29 , EAA witness tangfolio ... The Para is my favorite with the long 6 inch slide... thanks for your video... am looking forward to getting a Dan Wesson since you mentioned it...thanks again
Is that barrel made by Lone Wolf in Glendale AZ? If so I went to high school with the owner and he’s a great guy to work with. Ask for Adrian. They’ve got a huge selection of 10 MM pistols! Oh, and a quick check of his website shows that they stock every pistol listed here.
I purchased a Glock 40 MOS 10mm last summer and it is an extremely accurate 10mm, it comes with a 6" inch barrel and 3 15 round magazines. The frame is identical to the gen 4 Glock 20 but the slide is longer on the Glock 40 MOS. I also have a gen 3 Glock 29 10mm and I put a Lone Wolf 4.6" barrel in it, and that gives me a subcompact 10mm with the punch that a Glock 20 barrel gives.
As a 10mm fan, I always find it interesting to find out what other 10mm owners have in their collections. Thanks for taking the time to comment and contribute.
Your glock 20 is setup is pretty much exactly like mine. Ported lone wolf barrel, 20#spring, wilson combat fiber optic sight. Although I have some grip tape on her. I wouldn't be surprised if you had the trigger job done too. Love that gun.
Your videos are top-notch, sir! Outstanding content and very well produced. ...Since you asked our favorite 10mm pistols which have gone out of production or aren't on your list: mine is the Smith & Wesson 1006. ...But, I may be biased, as I'm a huge fan of all S&W 3rd generation pistols... keep up the great work!
S&W 1066 and 1076 which both I own. My 1076 is the FBI variant that does *not* have the magazine disconnect safety. I own an EAA (Tanfoglio) Witness Compact Steel in 10mm with the .22 LR conversion kit. There's a new one out called the Grand Power which is a CZ-75 variant.
Not long ago, I had the opportunity to shoot and evaluate a Grand Power P40. The example I shot turned out to be nothing more than a jam-o-matic. I was less than impressed.
Nice video. I have been wanting a 10mm for almost a decade but due to limited funds, platform options, and avaliblity of ammo it was put off for along time. This past Christmas after much research I narrowed my choices down to a witness elite match and rock island single stack. I went with the Rock Island after a bit more considerations of what I wanted to do with my 10mm. Anyway this is a great video and very helpful for those looking into getting a 10mm.
Hello. Love the review. I haven't shot a 10mm yet but love the idea of a high capacity, extreme fire power 1911. I have a Cz 97b in 45 and have seen a video of that same model in 10mm. I believe it is a prototype but it holds 15 or 16 rounds of 10mm. Looks to me that the 10mm is coming back with a vengeance and I want one!!!!
I still have my Colt SS Delta Elite 10mm that was presented to me on my 35th birthday by my wife and our Reserve Deputies. I carried it for the last 11 years of LE service before retiring after 29 years. Just this past December 2015, I returned to the profession with our City Marshal's Office and they issued me a Glock 22. Nice pistol but I would rather carry my 10mm. :)
which one is your favorite? Which one is the best shooter? what are the differences in weight between the guns? have you had any reliability issues with any of these 10 millimeters?
Great video. My current all-time favorite 10mm is a Dan Wesson Silverback that I recently purchased. It is my favorite 10mm and my favorite 1911. It is the most accurate 10mm that I have had and is butter smooth. I also like it because it is not high capacity. This makes it slim and easier to carry. I've had the Glock 20 (two of them), the Glock 40 and now a Glock 29. Amazingly I experienced a few failure to feeds with the 20's and the 40. Got rid of them all. I'm working now with BarSto to get a match 4.3" barrel for my Glock 29. The 4.3" is not obtrusive and it squeezes more velocity out of the 10mm. It is a super accurate combo. The match barrel was pretty darn expensive and I paid to let them fit it. I had a problem with a bent recoil spring plate. They adjusted the barrel and are returning it to me. I had a Delta Elite. It seized up and I am guessing it was due to galling. Colt repaired it free of charge and I sold it. They can't fix metallurgy.
I'm also a big fan of Dan Wesson 1911's. Glocks just seem to come and go from my collection. I'll wind up with a few and eventually end up trading or selling them.
Thanks you pretty much answered my question. Plus is was done at the Glock factory. So i really do not have any worrys about my pistol. Thair not gonna send out a piece of junk. Thanks
I have to agree, the Razorback is also my favorite of the five 10mm's I own: Glock 20, Glock 40 MOS, Kimber Eclipse Custom II, Colt Delta Elite, and the Dan Wesson. All of mine are box-stock, except for the Delta. I changed out the main spring, firing pin spring, recoil spring, and put a full-length guide rod in her plus a Wilson Combat recoil buffer, all just to prolong that pistol's service life. But the 1911 platforms certainly are prettier than the Glocks, especially in a shoulder holster. It's certainly good to see more pistols in this caliber coming back and 10mm ammo is getting a bit easier to find--just wish the price would come down. Keep putting out your quality videos on this caliber and maybe you can attract some more admirers. I look forward to your next one on the Razorback.
I'm torn......I have a tanfoglio witness compact stainless in 10mm that I purchased new this past year and I must have gotten a bad build or something. It hard cycles and slide returns slowly almost in slow motion. I realize the pressures at play here but I just hate to have to put a gun in the shop as soon as I purchase it. Gonna look into Hennings as they apear to be on top of EAA/Tanfoglio aftermarket parts. I really want to like this gun! Love the video.
The rock ultra a2 double stack is very appealing! My concern is how this piece will hold in the long run. I've heard many stories about guns , mainly early versions of guns that tried to tame the 10mm, not lasting, broken slides or other components and whatnot. How are your guns holding up so far?
There are also plenty of old stories of how black powder firearms mysteriously exploded when loaded with smokeless gun powder - or how the 357 & 44 magnum rounds ruined revolvers not actually designed to handle those working pressures. Yes, there are plenty of old stories still floating around out there that no longer have anything to do with todays newer firearm designs. Relax and buy yourself a nice 10mm.
Icarryone, I know. I go to the EAA website probably every other week or so. I have never been disappointed with them for providing quality gear! Just a matter of deciding if I want it bad enough to pay for it.
Inherited a Kimber SS target. Loading it up with a 200 gr xtp to hunt with. Incredibly accurate ! The goal is 1200 fps. (Accurate #9) slowly getting there! Thank for your time! Good video !
Icarryone...are you familiar with the Grand Power P40 10mm? Just curious as they offer a 10mm with a decocker lever 14 rnd. mag. and a rotating barrel system that supposedly reduces recoil. If you are I was wondering what your thoughts are on the gun and quality.
Not much surprised, considering, the GP P40 / P40L started to be available at the beginning of 2016 yr in the US. The GP pistols offer a unique rotating barrel mechanism, which suppress the recoil. I never owned the 10 mil, but i'm thinking about it, and so this rotating barrel is appealing to me ... I enjoyed your 10mm comparison very much, so i just thought to bring the GP to your attention... Cheers!
Nice review, I didnt see this video when I was on the hunt for a 10mm but you pretty much nailed it. I was really looking hard at the DW but went with an STI I found instead.
Icarryone , made in TX and top quality guns, they are known for their race guns and the 2011. They just had some investors pour several million dollars into their company and I expect you will be seeing more about them in the future.
I've owned the Witness Match Elite, the Glock 20, a Witness Steel 10mm, and the Razorback (birthday gift). Loved the steel guns. The Glock was a little big in my hands (should have gone with an SF - might try the Gen 4). Witness Steel and Elite Match were great, but, I agree with you... the Razorback is in a class by itself. I love that gun - it's my go-to 1911. That said, I'm looking at a Glock or Witness P 10mm as my next one... something a little lighter for hiking. Thanks for a great review!
Thanks! Should always give us guidance on price ranges forthe four in that often it's a factor in our BUY selection and decision.Steve C. (Collector, Shooter and former Army MP)
Apparently you don't watch very many of my reviews. Each pistol featured in this video has had an individual review that included pricing. Recon those videos troop.
I never thought about it but I really only shoot one 10mm, it's my fathers Smith 1076, I just love it. I have shot a Glock 10mm ones there time, didn't like it as much.
I enjoy my G20 SF with MeproLight night sights, Talon rubber grip stickers, 3.5lb connector, I had installed a steel guide rod but recently switched back to stock since the steel would come lose and upon disassembly would hang up the slide and or fall out without provocation. Still my go to pistol for hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting back-up. I'd rather drop a $500 plastic pistol versus a slick $1,500 one. Load any 10mm with the Underwood 140 gr. Lehigh Defense Xtreem Penetrators and you won't need a true rifled barrel for a dangerous game load, hums along at 1,680 fps with 705 ft lbs of energy and lots of hydraulic action on impact. Don't forget to consider a Kimber Custom II 10mm; I know people bash Kimber, but I love the TLE RLII .45ACP.
Icarryone, I have a Glock 20 10mm and it was my first duty gun. I thought a few times about selling it but don't have the heart to. My friend and I had a 10mm day at the range and he brought out his colt delta elite and smith and wesson 1066. We went through a lot of ammo. I am looking for a smith and wesson 1066 or 1006, or a glock 29. Keep making great videos.
The 10mm has recently been fascinating me. I'd love to have a Dan Wesson in 10mm but my options are few in Ca. Kimber makes a couple and the Glock 20 & 29... I think that is it on the roster.
I recently uploaded my top picks for 2017. There are some steel framed 10mm's that I highly recommend in this video. th-cam.com/video/nfcr-4lri8w/w-d-xo.html
Thank you. Literally thousands of us 10mm enthusiasts are patiently waiting for the video. I believe Sig would gladly send you one for a full review as it is in their best interest to get the good news out there and let people see what a mighty 10mm platform they have created, news delivered through talented reviewers like yourself, hickok45, Justinopinion, FortuneCookie45LC, Weapons Education and many other...
My channel is far too small for a big manufacturer, like Sig Saur to ever notice. Besides, I only review firearms that I personally own and have thoroughly tested. I don't do monetarily compensated T&E reviews - or allow pop-up adds to run on my channel for compensation. That way I can say what I want too about anything I review - without a sponsors interference. Because I don't accept sponsors, my channel will remain fairly small. I buy, trade & sell firearms all the time. A Sig P-220 will fall into my hands sooner or later.
im also a 10mm nut, great round I personaly like the glock 29 g4 or SF models, I put the lone wolf ported barrel on mine as well. Such fun to shoot and mags for the g20 work great to give a capacity of 15. That new RIA looks amazing gonna have to get one at some point. the Dan Wesson looks sharp too but I like that new RIA much better. I think a ammo manufacture really needs to make a round for these as most are .40 bullets put into a 10mm case and the 10mm can do so much more. Their are some other rounds like .40 which some one needs to look at the bullet design more because of the massive velocity and the wight it can sling down range. All .40 and 10mm bullets are identical when the rounds are so different and all bullets are identical to the .40 when its possibility have not even been touched on. Technology has to catch up to the function of those rounds their not like a 9mm or a .45 they travel faster and can deliver more weight on target, which no one is making a bullet that is different in those aspects. I have done some chrono testing on these 2 rounds and they are by far the most under rated because popularity holds strong with the 9mm and 45. However all bullets were designed around those 2 rounds when newer faster stuff has come out. the 460 roland is another one where the bullet design could change a bit. Its as if all technology on magnum rounds stop back in the 40s, and never started up again hollow point design has to change for these magnum type rounds.
+MadSativa If the 10mm round ever became as popular as the 9mm or 45, you would see ammo makers developing ammunition specifically for the higher velocities the 10mm is capable of producing.
If you have to know there is a review of a "Just out of the box" review that isn't all that good for Dan WESSON Razorback. Until I know I will be looking else were for my 10mm.
Personally, I've always conducted my own "hands on" evaluations before deciding if a firearm is worth owning or not. I own several Dan Wesson handguns and have never had an issue with any of them.
+BrassicaRappa The S&W 1076 is getting to be a little harder to come by these days. If you don't mind shopping around a little you can still probably find one in really good condition.
That's the next on my list to find... I have a love of all the Eastern/Euro brands like Canik, Sarsilmaz, GP, CZ, and SA XD's so the Grand Power really piqued my interest and I can't WAIT to see one in the flesh.
+UziNineMillomeetah One of the ways I save money shooting my 10mm guns, is shooting .40 S&W. I do NOT advocate other people doing this. I only decided to try it after a lot of research and a few experiments on the range with a vise holding the gun. I also only do it with the Glocks. So far, no problems.
+Stephen Keeler I've never owned one - but I have fired one. You just don't see many of those old Megastar's around any more Stephen. If I ever get my hands on one, I'll most certainly review it.
+DragonU.S.M.C/0311 As far as the Razorback is concerned, I hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those "While Supplies Last" things now that its finally back.
+Icarryone they have been back for awhile and I dont think they will stop making them since 10mm is increasing in popularity in the past 5 years. With everyone switching to carrying automatics as a normal choice for the woods for both rifles and pistols I only see the 10mm becoming more available in the future.
Alex Torres Don't you mean only an 8+1round capacity? That's no more than the P220 in .45 ACP. You'd think SIG could have gotten at least a 9 or 10 round magazine capacity for this less bulky 10mm (.40 caliber) cartridge. Disappointing. I've fired one of the new SIG P220 10mm pistols at my local range. It was way nicer shooting, and for me more accurate than my Glock 20SF 10mm Auto. But my Glock has a 15+1 capacity, and costs less than half as much.
Dads 6 1/2 inch Smith and Wesson stainless revolver 10 mm. It has to be the smoothest most accurate 10 mm I have ever shot. I would highly recommend you checking one out if you can find one. Since they no longer make it. Great video thank you very much
I own a Glock 20 & 29. I've also got a Witness Elite. The 29 is my carry gun. I've also got a MechTech CCU for my Glock 20. On my to buy list (10mm) I have the new Sig P220, a Rock Island Tac Ultra Full Size, a Glock 40 and a Witness Polymer model. My wish list for 10mm: VP10, PPQ 10mm, and a Jericho in 10mm.
I firmly believe the Jericho are among the best CZ-75 style pistols out there, and definitely the best looking. A 10mm Jericho would just be a serious gun porn star.
I'm sure this isn't the first time you've ever heard someone mention this to you, but your voice and accent are almost identical to R. Lee Ermey's. I suspect that you grew up in either Kansas or Nebraska, as Lee is originally from Kansas, so that accounts for the faintly southern-western accent that he has.
I still prefer my S&W 1006 above all of the currently made 10 MM. It eats everything and is easy to shoot. I still qualify with it every year, even though retired.
The 1006 is one of my dream guns. I had plans to get one for duty carry before I retired but failed to find one in my deeply limited budget. I still dream of it though.
IMO, the Glock 20/29/40 is the most versatile handgun on the market. This handgun will fire either the 10mm or the .40 cal with no modifications to the weapon. The 20/29/40 can be converted into a .357 SIG with a mere swap of the barrel. Everything else is the same; from the upper through the lower to the magazine. If you want to plink and still have a reliable self defense handgun, get yourself some .40 cal. If you want something significantly more powerful than the .40 (the snub nose 10mm), then get yourself some good 10mm or .357 SIG. They both have some good knock down permanence. You never going to know where you may find yourself and the availability of certain types of ammunition. I've got all 3 barrels (10mm, .40 cal. & .357 SIG) for that exact reason. As the old saying goes: "It's better to have and not not need, then to need and not have."
Nice vid, +1 on the Wesson! Had one (original, not the re-issue) , some guy made me an offer I couldn't refuse... ah well... I have a G20, with a 6" KKM barrel, not ported (too LOUD!!) Recoil is not that much, accuracy is xlnt... I added Heinie night sights... Love the pistol, never a jam... BTW, just picked up a box of Underwood 115gr 10mm, runs at 1700FPS, probably even faster out of the 6"... now, THAT will put some major hurt on a BG or a pig!!
I’m a Glocktard that still thinks the 1911 doesn’t carry enough rounds. Now that 2011 your displaying is sweet and the 2011s definitely carry enough rounds.🤙🏻
i feel my glock 29 is the perfect chl gun i have one that i carry everyday for self defense it has a 6 inch 4ported lonewolf barrel, 23 pound recoil spring and glide rod and a crimson trace laser. carry it in a ankle holster every day
+Jerry e Not trying to troll, but you put a 6 inch barrel into your G29, and now ankle carry it? I guess that would keep the weight down, and still give you barrel length to keep the velocity up.
I carry my 220-10 daily. it's just about the same size as my 1911 honestly and easier to conceal than my 226 because the grip isn't so fat since its a single stack
Agreed about the P220-10. It's surprisingly easy to carry. Even being an open carrier I can carry IWB and it's just as discreet as a P229 or any other hand gun with a full sized grip.
According to Glock, the polygonal type rifling they use in their barrels is specifically designed for jacketed bullets - and does not work well with cast or swedged lead bullets. (Glock owners manual)
@@Icarryone Thank you VERY much for your quick response and help. I do not own a Glock, but thinking about buying one . I am located in Germany where it is difficult to buy more than 2 handguns, so I would like to avoid mistakes. I want a 10mm auto and I am not sure which model is the best. Glock 20/40 ? I would normaly prefer Sig 220 with decocker, because I do like this system. But only 8 rounds is a poor thing. Are there more restriction concerning the Glock and the ammunition one can shoot? I found some sources saying that the Glocks have problems with stronger ammunition. Any issues/problems known with these Glocks? Or are these 10mm Glocks as reliable as all Glocks? Better 20 or 40 Glock? Difficult to decide.
+Icarryone I held the Elite stainless with rosewood grips at the local Shooters World. It's on lay away. My wife is not going to be a happy camper but she just got a $3000 refrigerator so that may smooth things out a bit. Only drawback is 8 round capacity. I wish they had beefed up, and put a longer slide on, the 229 frame.
OK review, basic and we see a NEWcomer, the ROCK ISLAND gun. Only thing is I have herd nothing GOOD about there stuff, like compare to some of the Taurus JUNK or HIGH POINT.
+Home of The Brave In the last few years it does appear that more and more firearms manufactures are adding 10mm's to their product lines. Hopefully, HK will be among them in the near future.
Good job, but I don't see a Sig Sauer 10MM? Dan Wesson (cz) makes some great guns. I have a Dan Wesson model 15 6 shooter that has had well over 10,000 hot 357 loads through it and it is still a great shooter. Thanks for the good video, but as a disabled Vietnam combat vet im sorry to say I can't afford the 2,000.00 Dan Wesson 10MM or I would have one because next to Sig Sauer I love my Dan Wesson's
I own the sig 220-10 and I love it. the only drawback is the price. but considering you don't have to add lone wolf everything to it to make it functional, it evens out
SIG Makes a FINE product, not knocking them for that at all, BUT, the cost, in no way "evens out" between a modded Glock and a factory stock SIG. The Gen IV G20 is GTG stock out of the box (even with the SS Guide-rod/spring, ext. barrels and a few other mods on my Gen IV now it's still hundred[s] cheaper then the lowest price SIG 10mm) and Lone-wolf Mods often have nothing to do with function even though I've spent plenty of money there myself. Let's be honest: If SIG's had the kind of aftermarket and "cosmetic" support that Glock did people would be doing the same things to them... As I often say, the G20 is the benchmark 10mm pistol on the market today and has been since it came out. As light as it is comparatively, it shoots as soft as any Alloy/Steel framed gun I own (esp. the Gen IV/Dual RSA set-up) and my Gen II is still ready to roll today with 10's of thousands of rounds, many "real" 10mm hand-loads, though it to date. Now if I had a chance at a good deal on a 10mm SIG would I take it??? HELL YES, I'm always looking to add to the 10mm collection and SIG's at the top of my "someday" list. I already own a fair few different brands of 10mm's (including 3 generations of Glock G20's, 2 Witness's, an RIA Tac II Ultra FS, a Colt and even a "unicorn" Bren Ten Tactical among a few others) and I'm very much NOT brand-myopic when it comes to firearms, in general I like what I like no matter who makes it. While I don't own one personally (yet), I grew up with an Uncle who was a long-time LEO and a "Sig guy" his whole career. SIG's were the first Semi-auto's I shot growing up, "high bore-axis" and all LOL. I love the ergo's, the fit and finish and the overall FEEL of the SIG's, but the cost is hard to swallow even knowing the quality and the weight makes them runners-up IMO. TO ME, the G20 is something "special" even as utilitarian and "ugly" as it's often described. Glock's stuck with the 10mm through all the ups and downs and I really like that. Aside from the 10mm's I own a few other Glocks but they're not "favorites" in the same way like the G20's are. Plus the Glocks are light enough for me to carry over hill and dale for weeks on end when I get the urge to do so (or to pack in an extreme light-weight load-out for an Expo-kayak trip down rivers often so far from any road/civilization that the 10mm is both a defensive and potential survival tool). The SIGS, while again very nicely made, are heavy and for all that weight they don't shoot any smoother IMO then the Glock does. They're awesome pistols (and a LOT more reliable then either of my RIA or Witness 10mm's have been to boot, as I expect with SIG), but they're not as versatile as the G20 IMO nor do they have the capacity What I REALLY want to see though is more competition for the Glock from companies like Springfield, CZ, SIG and others... I'd LOVE to see a CZ "P-010" (my current carry gun is a Gen II P-07 and I don't think there's a better Polymer 9mm on the planet as of right now) or an XD(m) in 10mm and I think SIG could easily make the P250/320 frames beefy enough to handle real 10mm the way the G20 does and it'd help keep the cost down too. As it stands today, Glocks the only one doing a "bulletproof", proven 10mm that also weighs little enough to be a solid carry option (if your hands can fit the grip) so for now I stick with my G20's for my real "work-horse" 10mm's and the rest are just range-toys for me. Like I say though, I'd love to change that... HINT HINT

I appreciate the feedback, Turbo. Thanks for taking time to watch my videos.
Good!
How about trying an AMT Javelina 10mm. Of course if available. Thank you.
"Glocktard", now that's a classic to be Patented!
The term has been around for quite a while.
And it never disappoints.
How about "Glocksucker"?
Still love my Colt Delta Elite. Bought it used 17 years ago, never going to sell it.
Over the years I've owned a couple of Delta's. I may yet get another one.
I've had my Delta 29 years. Taken many whitetails over this time. Wore out 2 sets of grips, and replaced the spring buffers and guide. That's it!🇺🇲👍

My lucky day! I stumbled across your reviews and I am glad I did. I am a 10mm fan and I reload. Presently I have the RIA single stack 1911 but will be adding another one to my stable. I look forward to watching all your reviews.
I recently uploaded my top 10mm picks for 2017.
At one time I had a S&W 1006. Loved that pistol - but let a buddy talk me out of it. Regretted that move ever since.
Mine was a great bowling pin gun.
I found it to be a fine pistol for knocking over feral hogs. Great gun for "makin' bacon."
love your laid back approach and subscribed for your love of the 10mm!! thanks and keep them coming
Thanks for watching Andrew.
+Norm Soucy Sounds like you have a nice collection Norm.

+LordDigz12 No trigger job yet.
Excellent review! What's a good inexpensive high capacity 10mm polymer? Thanks guys!
Here's one I recommend Anthony: th-cam.com/video/TPBNXfT36ns/w-d-xo.html
Icarryone thank you so much!
Just curious what would a box of range ammo 50 rounds cost on average?
10mm range ammo . . . .in my area it runs around twenty bucks a box (50 rounds). The good stuff will run a bit more.
Icarryone thank you sir and have a great day god bless you!
+J Allen Kaiser The S&W 1006 is a real classic. Thanks for your comments!
+Harley J Always glad to help. Thanks.
Any one of the 10mm's you saw in this video would be a fine choice.
The closest would be the EAA witness in 10mm, they have one called the hunter
I still have my Colt SS Delta Elite 10mm that was presented to me on my 35th birthday by my wife and our Reserve Deputies. I carried it for the last 11 years of LE service before retiring after 29 years. Just this past December 2015, I returned to the profession with our City Marshal's Office and they issued me a Glock 22. Nice pistol but I would rather carry my 10mm. :)
I'm with you on the 10mm all the way!
I'd love to see a review on the Dan Wesson Bruin in 10mm...preferably in basic black. That bronze finish is certainly an acquired taste.
+Trey Westcot I sure would love to have a DW Bruin.
LOL i never heard a guy in a youtube vid say Glocktard before haha
which one is your favorite? Which one is the best shooter? what are the differences in weight between the guns? have you had any reliability issues with any of these 10 millimeters?
Favorite: Dan Wesson Razorback /Best shooter: Elite Match / Weight: Varies by a few ounces. / Issues: None - That's why they made my favorites list.
Thanks
I looooove my glock 29 gen 4... it holds 17 rounds and I will upgrade it with. A 20 round mag
17 rounds? ;-)
I imagine they are using a Glock 20 magazine with a +2 adapter.
Thank you! I have never seen such a thing! I carry my G20 with regular 15 round magazine and one in the chamber!
AustrianJager hows it bro? you shooting 10mm?
EDC! ;-)
Had me lol'ing about beating the crap out of the spring and the "glocktards." Great video. You have earned a sub sir. Love the 10mm cartridge.
+Brave Insanity Welcome aboard!
Now you need to get a Colt Delta Elite. Great 10mm.
+six20a Had one - sold it. Might get another one someday.
+Vet 67-91There will be more 10mm videos coming up pretty soon.
Have you had a chance to check RIA's new 6" barrel version of the M1911A2 model in 10mm?
Price wise, they seem to be pretty proud of that extra inch.
Great video, what round you think is better and way, the 10mm or the 45acp???
For hunting, the 10mm. For personal defense, the 45acp is a little easier to control.
+Icarryone thanks a lot, I was thinking to buy a sig p227 tactical 45acp or a p220 hunter 10mm so yeah thanks.
That's a shame. Personally, I've always had near flawless performance from Tanfoglio handguns.
Would love to see your review on the Rock Island 1911 10mm doublestack
Here is that review Josh: th-cam.com/video/3oPqbiCE5rs/w-d-xo.html
I'm thinking really hard about getting my Tanfoglio Match .45 a second caliber option.
+Chris Blake EAA sells several caliber conversions for the Elite Match, including 10mm.
+KIM COVENEY Thanks for watching Kim!
Icarryone...are you familiar with the Grand Power P40 10mm? Just curious as they offer a 10mm with a decocker lever 14 rnd. mag. and a rotating barrel system that supposedly reduces recoil. If you are I was wondering what your thoughts are on the gun and quality.
I haven't had a chance to get a hands on feel for one yet - but the P40 is on my radar.
great topic. great guns. great dialog. i will definitely be looking for more of your videos.
Here is the link that will take you to all of my videos: th-cam.com/channels/PjCe1YmJBfSfW5v-AwhCRw.html
Have a look on on the Grand Power P40L - it's a 10mm from Slovakia, with some unique features!
I haven't had a chance to look at a P40L yet.
Cheers!
You are going to have to add one of the new Sig 10mm to your stable!
+kanaloa38 If its a 10mm, its somewhere on my list.
Thank you for your excellent to the point reviews.
My pleasure!
Nice review, I didnt see this video when I was on the hunt for a 10mm but you pretty much nailed it. I was really looking hard at the DW but went with an STI I found instead.
I haven't really looked that hard into the STI models yet - but I hear they have a lot going for them.
Icarryone , made in TX and top quality guns, they are known for their race guns and the 2011. They just had some investors pour several million dollars into their company and I expect you will be seeing more about them in the future.
Thanks for the high capacity reviews. I've been looking for a higher capacity alternative to the S&W 1006.
+sw10mm There are a number of high capacity 10mm's available in todays market. The ones you saw in this video are ones that I personally recommend.
What do you consider "heavy hunting loads" in the Glock-20?
Buffalo Bore 220 grain & Underwood 200 grain JHP are what I consider to be heavy hunting loads.
+B Miller Thanks for watching and contributing your input Mr. Miller.
+I carry one. Which factory ammo do recommend for a 10mm handgun?
+Jonas Blane II I like Underwood and Buffalo Bore. They don't make the watered down 10mm ammo that other companies sell.
Sweet collection .. the 10mm is by far my favorite round!
+ebomey Mine too! (BTW - I'm having venison tonight - served up 10mm style.)
+Icarryone Sounds tasty!
+ebomey If you show up with a good brew to go along with it, I'll set an extra plate.
+Icarryone I am just hitting the record button on a brew review for the other channel right now.
+ebomey I'll be there!
+Phauxtoe I know what you mean. Some work for me, others don't.
I know a lot of guys who won't hesitate to pack a G20 when heading into bear country.
+Sean Rickey If it wasn't for the Colt Delta Elite & the Smith & Wesson 1006, the 10mm cartridge might not be here today. Thanks for watching Sean.
The 10mm has recently been fascinating me. I'd love to have a Dan Wesson in 10mm but my options are few in Ca.
Kimber makes a couple and the Glock 20 & 29... I think that is it on the roster.
I'm a junkie for 10mm's. I have another 10mm review coming up pretty soon.
I'm looking forward to that review.
I like your videos. Well done. I have a Glock 20 but know I need to add a metal frame 10mm to my collection.
I recently uploaded my top picks for 2017. There are some steel framed 10mm's that I highly recommend in this video. th-cam.com/video/nfcr-4lri8w/w-d-xo.html
Great video. Can't wait for your full review of the sig p220-10mm. Cheers
As soon as I can get my hands on one, a video won't be far behind.
I got a Sig Sauer p220 in 10mm & hopefully soon ill get a ruger sr1911 in 10mm & a Sig Sauer 1911 tacops 1911....
The tacops is on my radar too.
im also a 10mm nut, great round I personaly like the glock 29 g4 or SF models, I put the lone wolf ported barrel on mine as well.
I don't have a 10mm, but I keep thinking about picking up a 1076 at some point.
+BrassicaRappa The S&W 1076 is getting to be a little harder to come by these days. If you don't mind shopping around a little you can still probably find one in really good condition.
Check out the Kimber Eclipse Custom 2 10mm. Love mine
I've had the worst luck with Kimbers. Just me I guess.
This guys got jokes, I like it
Dan Wesson Bruin!!!! Needs to be at the top of this list.
If I had a Bruin, it probably would be.
I lean heavily to the Tanfoglio (_EAA_) 10mm Steel or poly frame
+MatteoSixSeventyFour I have nothing but good things to say about Tanfoglio handguns.
+Icarryone If its a CZ or CZ clone. I have nothing but good things to say. Hard to mess up a great design.
I wish you would also give a general sales price for each so one could know without more research what they would spend
If you watch any of my reviews on individual firearms, you will generally hear me state the retail price at some point during the video.
what mags do you recommend for a single stack ria 10mm?
+Avery Drew I've had good luck with Mec-Gar and Colt Delta Elite magazines.
Great Vid, Asking do you fault anyone buying a reconditioned Glock-20 pistol?
So, what's wrong with buying a used Glock 20 as long as the price is right?
How about the Sig P220-10MM ???
+FAT LOLO Been wanting one of those.
The Razorback is a gem. ....wow. ....drooling.
I just can't seem to capture on camera how nice this Razorback really is.
just got the RIA 10mm
.....new favorite gun
I've experienced nothing but excellent results from my RIA 1911's.
The S&W 610 should be listed. Some of us like the old wheelgun and it's versatile like all revolvers with the fact it can shoot .40 as well.
If I had one, it would likely be on this list.
Thanks for the video. I am definitely a 10mm fan
My pleasure.
I am personally on the hunt for a Dan Wesson Commander Bobbed tail in 10mm. That Tangofolio is sexy though.
I saw one at Bud's gun shop the other day. Looks like they have a few in stock. Very classy carry 10mm.
1911 my fav.by a long shot!! Served me well!!! Indian Country!!! SEMPER FI...
Hup!
You have a great channel! I just subscribed :-D
Glad to have you - welcome aboard!
Sir urr sound is really low
+Robert Harden Glens glen and'??meath for get it so sorry it finally kicked in.
Check out the Grand Power 10mm pistol.
I'm waiting on the 5" version that is supposed to be out later this year.
didnt even know there was a GP in 10mm. ill have to look it over. thanks
That's the next on my list to find... I have a love of all the Eastern/Euro brands like Canik, Sarsilmaz, GP, CZ, and SA XD's so the Grand Power really piqued my interest and I can't WAIT to see one in the flesh.
Love the 10mm! Ammo is just too pricy for me.
One word. Reload....
+UziNineMillomeetah I do reload for the 10mm and that helps a lot.
So far, no problems.
sailingmaster you mean other than lowering the pressure and causing excessive wear to the end of the chamber?
I've shot over a thousand rounds of .40 S&W through both my Glocks, no appreciable wear except on the extractor of the 29.
Please review the Star Megastar 10mm
+Stephen Keeler I've never owned one - but I have fired one. You just don't see many of those old Megastar's around any more Stephen. If I ever get my hands on one, I'll most certainly review it.
Awesome! Thanks for replying to me :-)
I am Defiantly going to check out the Razorback.
I love the way you said " Glocktard " LOL! I laughed very hard!! Great review!
Those guys can be frustrating sometimes.
1911tards are just as frustrating too. Looks like another Boomer found out how to make a vid and upload to youtube.
Get your hands on a Sig P220 10mm!
It's on my list.
Icarryone mine too, I just have a little trouble parting with that much money
Then get your hands on $1500.00
I have trouble parting with that kind of money for only 10 round capacity. I mean c'mon
Great video thank you very much
Don't worry about that . He has stated in his will . you sell any of my guns . I'll come back and beat are asses . thanks
What about the Sig 220 Elite?
+Stephen Keeler That one is on my wish list.
Nice. I live in the UK so everything is :-(
I own a Glock 20 & 29.
+sailingmaster Now, that's what I call a cool wish list!
I firmly believe the Jericho are among the best CZ-75 style pistols out there, and definitely the best looking. A 10mm Jericho would just be a serious gun porn star.
Nice pistols! 10mm is a great round!
+PRVeteran Potent & versatile cartridge for sure.
Nice video bud. You just got a subscriber.
Thanks and welcome aboard.
I get that from time to time.
I still prefer my S&W 1006 above all of the currently made 10 MM. It eats everything and is easy to shoot. I still qualify with it every year, even though retired.
The 1006 is a great pistol. Too bad it is no longer in production.
I've done several caliber conversions on Glocks myself. My latest conversion was a Glock 21 45acp to 10mm.
Sounds like a nice setup.
That is some 10mm awesomeness right there!
+mcekim2 Yes it is.
I’m a Glocktard that still thinks the 1911 doesn’t carry enough rounds. Now that 2011 your displaying is sweet and the 2011s definitely carry enough rounds.🤙🏻
😎👍
i feel my glock 29 is the perfect chl gun i have one that i carry everyday for self defense it has a 6 inch 4ported lonewolf barrel, 23 pound recoil spring and glide rod and a crimson trace laser. carry it in a ankle holster every day
+Jerry e Not trying to troll, but you put a 6 inch barrel into your G29, and now ankle carry it? I guess that would keep the weight down, and still give you barrel length to keep the velocity up.
I wish Sig would release a 10mm in the 228 or 229 size.
They seem to be stuck on chambering only the P220 for 10mm.
+Icarryone I wouldn't mind the 220 if it was the size of the original 45acp one. they seem to make them bigger and harder to conceal.
If you can conceal a red brick in your waistband, you might could conceal a P220. It doesn't make a very good carry choice.
Forgot to include the sig p220 elite. In my opinion far and away better the any of these mentioned!
I take it that the P220 would be your choice? If so, that's cool.
"Glock advises not shooting cast or Swedge lead bullets" WHY??????
Here is a video that might answer some of your questions: th-cam.com/video/SqDLiYOQUwc/w-d-xo.html
No Sig P220?
+specopsbrat The P220 is on my wish list.
If you're one of those people who believe everything they hear, that's fine. I've always tried to form my opinions based on personal experience.
Beautiful handguns
+Gun Enthusiast Thank you.
great video as always
+Cliff Barnett Thank you.
What are your thoughts on the 45 long colt cartridge ?
+Cliff Barnett Absolutely love that round. I have several handguns chambered for 45LC.
What u think about the public defender revolver ?
+Cliff Barnett Never have owned or shot one - so I can't say.
2:56 mark...YES! Great video. I just subbed. ebomey sent me over.
+therealcobraburnout Boom!
help me strong arm HK into building the first HK10v1, HK vp10 , Hk10c
+Home of The Brave In the last few years it does appear that more and more firearms manufactures are adding 10mm's to their product lines. Hopefully, HK will be among them in the near future.
Hey, your "Perfected Glock" is the same as mine... It's great for hunting urban critters ;)
Hunting is hunting, I suppose.
I don't currently own a Sig P-220. Then again, even if I owned one, It may or may not have made my favorites list for this year.
They're awesome pistols (and a LOT more reliable then either of my RIA or Witness 10mm's have been to boot, as I expect with SIG), but they're not as versatile as the G20 IMO nor do they have the capacity
What I REALLY want to see though is more competition for the Glock from companies like Springfield, CZ, SIG and others... HINT HINT
