3 years is 1095 days, 2000 students means 1.8 a day, every day for 3 years. That's some crazy commitment!

I knew this book would be a treasure trove of information, but I would like to give a special shout out to Julia Pama for how extraordinarily well presented this book is. This is such a professionally done book that I would have never guessed this was your very first book👏👏

One of my favorite things you ever said was something like "In a real car, you can feel the rear sliding. It's actually AMAZING how much you can feel what is happening to the rear in a real car!" I thought that was so funny. Imagine being able to actually FEEL what the car is doing! Lol. But that's the point: sim-racers are trying to learn to be fast without being able to feel the car. And I think this is why your book is so needed.
All of the materials previously available were for real-world students who could get feedback from the car to help them understand the concepts that were being taught. We don't have that. So those lessons are inadequate. You are coming up with ways to teach it that we can actually use.
I think that teaching a sim racer to be fast is like trying to explain what a sunset looks like to a blind person. Because we don't have that very important sensory experience, you have to be very creative to explain it in some other way. Your lessons always make me feel like I finally understand what all of those books and articles were talking about, as I've never been able to actually feel it myself.

True but really the force feedback in even entry level wheels is good enough to feel in your hands when the back slides out. Sim racers learn by feel but its in the hands and not the butt, back and shoulders like in real life

Its amazing to build up a platform yourself and especially help others learn from 0. I wish you the best whether it be current or future endeavors, especially your current IRL racing career.

I've always enjoyed racing games so I purchased a playseat challenge and a cheap wheel/ pedal setup for my playstation. I realized that I just couldn't compete because I didn't know how to race. Just purchased your book so I hope my lap times improve :)

Although you have quite a good grasp on the minutiae of racing, there's one gigantic thing, you're missing in all of this: 'growing up on four wheels'
If you did not start in karting at age 6 or lower and worked your way up naturally on four wheels, no amount of coaching is going to make you a great driver.
You surely can become 'kind of good', but never great.
Yes, we might not be able to explain everything as concise at all times, but drivers, who "learned how to drive" will never be able to compete with drivers, that sucked it up with their mother's milk.
    Just leaving that out there.
It looks like you started playing the piano very early on, so you should know exactly, what I am talking about.
