Not sure what's wrong with EA WRC, although the then engine is rendering a quite soft and mushy 3d world. Even on Ultra on a RTX4070 the detail and sharpness isn't there. This happened with the switch to UE. Something similar happens with ACC but it's way less noticeable and managed better in the settings. Also after coming from AC and ACC the tarmac feels horrible on WRC. Feels like I'm driving on rails and when turning the car rotates in the middle as it had a pivot point. It's sad to say, but I wish I didn't purchase it!😢 A great feature would be adding a realism mode with a proper complex physics for the cars.
Serious Racing has been funneled into 4 games that are actually worth getting rn. AC/ACC/Evo, WRC(its become incredible trust me), Le Mans Ultimate, and IRacing. Forza, Gt, and F1 have ruined their credibility with the arcadey bs(not to mention all have completely ignored their communities). My Must Have Sim Game List. 1. AC 2. ACC 3. F12020 4. LeMansU 5. WRC

VR is the gamechanger, After trying just the Quest 2, And the Quest 3 is meant to be a world better, Even so though VR is staggering, AMS 2, Dirt Rally 2, Fantastic, Dirt Rally 2 got VR looking and driving great, I can honestly see monitors and TV prices drop with the Quest and Big screen, The Quest has just changed the entertainment industry, I mean being able to have a set of decks and bust a mix in a VR world, Beam NG, Is another what I think a big hitter in the Sim World, The FFB on Beam NG for me is the closest I have felt to what I think real life driving is, lol, Neche subject, But with VR coming out now as stand alone, It won't be long before we see a stand alone VR with 4090 specs, You got those small ass PC's, And even fan less PC's that is tiny, So yeah it will not be long before VR gets crazy impressive, It will be hard not to release a Sim title that is not VR capable, Like I said even just the Quest 2 and a VR PC, And your Sim Racing opens up on a whole new level, I have read so many comments praising the Quest, Meta have opened up the future, Watch how powerful Meta becomes in the next few years, Even driving instructors will be worried,, Dri8ving instructors can actually work from home, So how long will it be before driving instructors start working from home using the Motion Sim and a Pimax 12k, lol, Giving people ideas here, I should keep my hands from typing this out, lol, ETS 2 can be used with VR to teach people to Park Lorries still sitting in the office, I am surprised delivery companies have not even tried using VR to teach people to drive lorries, Your CV is your You tube ETS 2 channel, I can drive in the UK and in Europe, Just watch my You Tube, Telling the interviewer make sure you subscribe, lol, Jokes aside VR or Meta have just opened up crazy ways for people who can't get out, To be able to learn, Speak to people as an avatar, I know someone who is getting a quest just to do the avatar stuff, But for Sim Racing VR have changed it completely, I got the Elite strap with a 500mAH battery from WaveVR, For the price, Brilliant, Makes the headset so you can wear it comfortably and play the VR for about 8 hours when linked with the Airlink cable, So all in all, You do have to pay for the extra's But even then it is still worth getting, Dirt Rally 2 is staggering, And to be able to race on AMS 2 in multiplayer in VR is mind blowing, Don't mention you is doing VR though, People leave the room, lol, I have noticed more people in just the last week going to VR, Or VR in the persons name, In a few years time it will be hard pressed to find Sim Racers not doing VR, I get that feeling, At least PC monitors will have to come down in price, Even TV's with the Big Screen app, Changes the entertainment industry, I can see Glastonbury doing VR rooms for people who can't get there, And for people who don't feel safe in a big crowd like myself, Before I got CPTSD, I used to go out hitting the clubs with my Brother, But now clubbing is just to dangerous, I am not kidding when I say you can get attacked in nasty ways from just looking at a girl wrong, Or even speaking to a girl, So now for people like myself, I can now go places without even leaving the living room, For me that is mind blowing.... Do you ever do VR Sim racing?
You can have all the best physics, graphics, and simulation you want. But if your game does not have a compelling dynamic career mode, it will never be a deeper experience.
That's why the f1 games have such a big market. For me, I love a good career mode. My own car, my own driver, my own upgrade choices. I just wish it had all that, and was more of a sim. Code masters being apart of EA ended that games realistic hopes of being interesting for Sim racers
Also why do you think the rain looks awful? Because you can’t see anything when ur behind another car? That’s just realistic and how it is irl you can’t really see anything in the rain when ur following another car. I mean the reflections are at least decent. iRacing is just more focused on driving realism than it is on graphics. But with the driving realism and tracks in the game you definitely get what you pay for.
@@veryrudeguy as i Said before they’re trying to make the game look better. iRacing, although it might seem like a lot, is currently at a fair price when you take into consideration how many people work for iRacing and the amount of effort those people but into making iRacing better. iRacing is just about driving realism and not about good graphics. Well I have been doing SIM racing for 25-30 years, and I don't take any of this too serious. The AI in all the racing games are never going to behave like human online competitive racing. The AI are used to try out the tracks and something to practice against offline. Each Racing game has its good and bad features and none of them are ever going to be perfect and be like real life racing. They are GAMES people!!!!!! Talke a look at what kind of games we had 15-20 years ago. And now compare what we have now. Everyone seems to complain too much on each and every little nit picking feature.. I enjoy what we have - Racing games have come a long ways and will only get better. Take care.
Surely someone else has to be sick of hearing about Rennsport??? They basically came put of the gate with a game almost no one could play, but that didn't stop them from going hard into the esports. I couldn't not care even the slightest about an esports event for a game no one can play. They advertised the esports more than the game itself. Just get the game finished and if it's good, maybe then we'll care about your esports.
i saw a video a lil while ago that said something like "sim racing is in its prime right now" this time right now will be those days we look back on as the good ol days, especially with everything out right now
It certainly feels in a good spot, but who knows what's around the corner! Everyone will have a different period they look on with nostalgia as the best generation, I'm sure this will be it for many 🙌
Iracing wether system is grest but they once again go ahh we are making all month 70% of rain. Then after it will be like a real forecast done by an algorithm and done based of off something like a real weather system so guess what? It's based on past races on these events and tracks but guess what again? That means more rain then not still! Horrible mistake imo they don't need to mske the weather system realistic that's just to much imo. Just do half and half call it a day I think it was a ridiculous move on there part. Also we saw they changed the name from ac2 to evo and still said 2024 so its def launching sooner then later. That was the last dlc and update for acc also. Thank god acc is dialed in even on console guys I was shocked.
As long as the EAs F1 game is the main platform for esports its gonna remain a joke . The silence around AC2(evo) is really ominous, I hope its great. EA WRC is one of the worst pieces of software Ive seen in my life, and lets be real if the best rally game out there is 20 years old and you couldnt match it let alone surpass it, you are killing the genre.
The tricky thing with E-Sports for sim racing specifically, is that real racing exists already, and is more exciting to follow/watch. It’s not like I can watch IRL Apex Legends or something lol
Totally agree. The main/unique selling point of sim racing is being able to do something similar to a relatively inaccesible and expensive sport. Anybody can enjoy watching racing, those barriers don't exist.
There wasn’t match happening with RaceRoom at the time, but soon after they released Pau and we gave it a full video 😊 - th-cam.com/video/rC8oQO0XqnM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6N1fCDZHZB-beOjt

I know I'm gonna get a ton of flak for this but: any news on a possible Wreckfest 2? Where it isn't necessarily considered a sim racing, that platform offers some of the most fun racing one can have, especially online (since the stupid AI always aims to corner bomb you). Sim racing doesn't have to be dull and dry like rFactor - fun should have its place and no racing game atm is more than WF. Of course, from all the flak I'm about to get a question for them: have you actually tried the game?
Zero flak deserved😂 Wreckfest is one of the most enjoyable games you can play using a sim rig! There isn't much out there yet on a potential Wreckfest 2, other than supposed leaks but I do know BugBear Entertainment is active so I guess we will find out eventually 🙂
LMU is not that buggy, and with the latest patches perhaps it can be forgiven given its early access status... so far one of the most fun games to have, if only they would also provide 2024 season updates
Same, which is why I don't race online in public lobbies. Heck there is even toxicity in WreckFest. I race with friends in private and have a great laugh. There are decent folk out there, but the toxic morons seem to shout the loudest and drown them out.
i dont get it .. why do people call all these titles sims ? They are not sims , the only simulator you really have with laserscanned tracks and cars is iRacing. All the other titles are more games not really a worthy simulator.
iRacing is certainly right up there in terms of realism, but I'd say there are a lot more titles that fall into that same category. It comes down to personal preference, some racing drivers find one more realistic, others disagree. Many of the big titles these days also fully utilize laser scanning. 🙂
Agree it has the worst physics by far. I would just call it PC 2.5 tbh, simcade more than sim. Content can be cheap if you get it on sale though. 50% off every time there is a sale. Only bought tracks as the game is garbage when it comes to physics IMO.

It's sad to say, but I wish I didn't purchase it!😢
A great feature would be adding a realism mode with a proper complex physics for the cars.
all rally games have massive flaws, this is depressing
good to see you again John.
Thanks for joining! Welcome to Race Anywhere 😄
Great video! Very good recap of what's happened this year so far!
Glad you enjoyed it! So much more has already come to light this week, so I may well start taking notes… Maybe this can become a more regular thing.
1. AC
2. ACC
3. F12020
4. LeMansU
5. WRC
Great video once again mate, what make are those gloves they look awesome.
Thanks very much! These are Sabelt Sim Racing gloves 😊
Could you do an entire video about racing in BeamNG? I host a racing series and would like to hear your opinions.
Excellent work on this one! Subbed!
Much appreciated! Welcome 😄
Racing games in general even motorbikes I can sense will just continue to get better for the future
Fantastic video, thank you. I have been plugging away with Gran Turismo and am now looking for the next step. You've given me some great ideas. Cheers.
Great to hear! Hope you enjoy whatever you try next 🙂
I think there's a good chance it will be Assetto Corsa, probably with the British GT pack@@raceanywhere
Very Well made! Really enjoyed this one 🤩🤩
Great to hear, thanks for the comment!😊
Sim racing is great this year, many options but still not enough oddly enough
Hopefully the competition continues to push everything forward!
Ummmm they announced tons about AC 2 at the same time they announced the new ACC dlc.
I only spotted the announcment briefly when switiching games, lots of news came out between the recording and video being published... Typical!😅 Also AMS2 announced their IMSA partnership, we have a date for RaceRoom's Pau release and Rennsport unveiled their 2024 roadmap. Think I might have to do a follow-up some time...
@@raceanywhere, please do. Honestly, there's probably enough sim racing content to do a monthly update at this point. It would also cut down on video length and boost channel visibility.
can someone please explain how anyone can drive with a 90deg flat base with no angle. wonder how one wrist feel after 10min of jamming and with that angle you have no steering stability just wonky wheel like this dude doing on kyalami. how do you drive like that it make no sense to a point that you tell me what car has such a straight angle. when F4 cars and many other open wheel cars are 30deg angle on the wheel.......
While the competition amongst developers will push our beloved hobby forward is great, I'm also a bit concerned all these titles will dilute what is a very niche market. I suspect some of these will fall by the wayside as a result, especially with the similar type of content.
great video, next up a hardware look at 2024 as well?
Thanks very much, it's appreciated! With hardware it's a little more complicated, as we sell hardware at Race Anywhere, so we have to be sensitive about content surrounding it. Not an issue with games etc. as we don't sell those. However, we will certainly be doing some hardware focused content in the near future, just likely not in the same format as this video :)
Automobolista I need to try this SIM
IRacing Is the most realistic sim when it comes to driving realism
You can have all the best physics, graphics, and simulation you want.
But if your game does not have a compelling dynamic career mode, it will never be a deeper experience.
That's why the f1 games have such a big market. For me, I love a good career mode.
My own car, my own driver, my own upgrade choices. I just wish it had all that, and was more of a sim.
Code masters being apart of EA ended that games realistic hopes of being interesting for Sim racers
6:30 A personality?
Jeeez, iRacing is the most expensive one but it looks like something from early 2000.. And that rain/wet looks awful
Game is from 2008 to be fair. But on the good site of thinks iRacing is the most realistic sim that exists for the public at the moment
@@bxnjiiii7981 looks outdated AF. Considering how much money they want they could make the game look modern
Also do you know a game from 2008 with good graphics
@@bxnjiiii7981 I began my Simracing journey with iRacing.. Loved the carrer/ranking or what ever it's called.. But it would cost me over 100usd just to get everything for Mazda cup... Just mazda cup +subscription. If it would look like ACC, no problem... But the way it looks... I just can't justify. Obviously you have spent many hundreds it that game and you need to justify it. That's fine. It's not a bad sim racing.. But in 2024 it looks awful. Whenever I see iRacing next to other games.. I just can't...
2024 in sim racing ?
We´re looking good so far :)
the iRacing Formula 4 do in fact have wet tires and they are quite nice. good video tho
I was talking about the Formula “Ford”, so the FF1600 in iRacing that I was driving. Sorry for the confusion!😊 Glad you enjoyed the video.
This is before the asseto corsa evo announcement top
And now AC Evo has been revealed 😮
i saw a video a lil while ago that said something like "sim racing is in its prime right now" this time right now will be those days we look back on as the good ol days, especially with everything out right now
It certainly feels in a good spot, but who knows what's around the corner!
Why do people play ACC over AC? You can't drive H pattern road cars, it gets a bit boring.
Me catching up with games from a decade ago: "Alright then..."
Getting better for pc console is just a desert
Thanks for the video
You are welcome!
I wish Raceroom was mentoned at least. I prefer it to Automobilista but that's just me.
There wasn’t match happening with RaceRoom at the time, but soon after they released Pau and we gave it a full video 😊 - th-cam.com/video/rC8oQO0XqnM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6N1fCDZHZB-beOjt
Lemans Ultimate is unforgiving as hell...definitely not for new sim racers
EA and F1 can get it! Im so over that BS...was league racing for 3-4 years and pulled the pin after F123. Over to iracing, ACC, Le mans and havent looked back
I know I'm gonna get a ton of flak for this but: any news on a possible Wreckfest 2?
10:56 You mean get other people to make the game for them.
What's going on here then... traxion become race anywhere... ??
Sadly, at the end of the year simracers will only be in iracing, AC and ACC. You don't get out of your comfort zone
I wouldn't put Le Man's Ultimate aside! 😉
@@rr_reaperqc look at the numbers. The hype was there for a bit and player count has decreased with 50% since...
@marijn17s true, although hoping time will change this again!!
Im pretty sure ACC LFM/Simgrid and iRacing high irating sof races will have you out of your comfort zone
yeah and for rally it's rbr rallysimfans
LMU is not that buggy, and with the latest patches perhaps it can be forgiven given its early access status... so far one of the most fun games to have, if only they would also provide 2024 season updates
AMS2 AI is worse than drink petrol
Simracing is so insular and dry, i have a cockpit and wheel that i enjoy very much but I find the simracing community repulsive
Same, which is why I don't race online in public lobbies. Heck there is even toxicity in WreckFest. I race with friends in private and have a great laugh.
There are decent folk out there, but the toxic morons seem to shout the loudest and drown them out.
The current state of sim racing is... GT racing (ಠ_ಠ)
Jesus Christ guys... there is other forms of racing than GT3!
ACC Nords on the 1st of April..... April fools day 🤔
EA ruins everything it touches.
Grab Turismo is yo daddy
The best thing so far is Rennsport has been quiet. Genuinely the worst sim out now
Hahah and added the Mission R, like, Why???!
i dont get it .. why do people call all these titles sims ?
They are not sims , the only simulator you really have with laserscanned tracks and cars is iRacing.
All the other titles are more games not really a worthy simulator.
iRacing is certainly right up there in terms of realism, but I'd say there are a lot more titles that fall into that same category. It comes down to personal preference, some racing drivers find one more realistic, others disagree. Many of the big titles these days also fully utilize laser scanning. 🙂
Pretty sure all the content in ACC is laser scanned too.
after your failed EA WRC predictions, paid sponsorships, and fallen trust, did you start a new channel? No I won’t be here.
Why waste time posting this? Bring your negativity elsewhere. You’re what’s wrong with the internet.
AMS2 is the worst of all Simracing Games. Its way to expensive and has the Worst feel!
Wait for summer and get a discount, also remember AMS2 doesn’t have the resources that most of their other competitors do
Agree it has the worst physics by far. I would just call it PC 2.5 tbh, simcade more than sim. Content can be cheap if you get it on sale though. 50% off every time there is a sale. Only bought tracks as the game is garbage when it comes to physics IMO.
EA WRC is shit, iRacing is dead, AMS 2 is great but limited, rF2 is f(*$#^d, AC is the same, ACC has resorted to price gouging.... what else is there?
Funny how Iracing looks like crap 😂
Still the far superior driving experience 😊
@@sh1nyGT Compared to what? maybe the online experience, not the driving experience
@@ommachining154tf? Iracing is the most realistic simulator availiable DRIVING WHISE
@@bxnjiiii7981 i totally disagree, ac ffb is 10 times better, ams2 graphics are 10 times better.... you seems to defend with your investment of money, without 0 logic behind your thoughts 🤣
@@ommachining154 Iracing ffb is the best, graphics lack a lot, but driving wise is Iracing definitely the best sim out there. So do I and 80% of actuall Simracers agree. And most of acctual Race car drivers think so too. Also I don’t currently play iRacing cause it’s hella expensive, but I have played it and it is the best you can have. If you don’t think so you must be playing Mario Kart and not sim games
You forgot IRACING being the dominator of all sim racing and being the best out of ALL of this GARABGE You noted....
iRacing is very much overrated
😂😂😂😂
I in the name does not make it better.
First one was almost correct. Second one complete load of bollocks.
😅🤣😂
