I have a story about Elvis and that showroom. The year 1972, I went to Las Vegas for my 21th birthday. I was roaming The casino "Hilton" at the time. Of course out front was a hugh sign with ELVIS written on it, however, the show was sold out, and to be honest I was on such a tight budget I didn't have the money even if there were tickets. I was wandering the casino and saw the long line of people enter into the showroom. In front of large doors a heavy duty curtain was pushed back and the people entered. Later, a couple guys with their dates dressed to impress and a look of very V.I.P. were walking to the entrance and the curtain was thrown open, large double doors opened........... Bam the music, and the voice of Elvis could be heard. All life in the casino stood still as "The King"could be heard. As the VIP's entered and the doors, and heavy curtain was closed, and all sound stopped as quickly as it had started. Maybe a total of only 15 seconds of the show could be heard, but I can forever say " I heard Elvis perform live once in my lifetime.
Back in the 70’s my fiancé’s aunt owned a restaurant on the strip..she got tickets to see Elvis , my fiancé and his parents went to see Elvis at the International. He didn’t realize then how lucky he was to see him..but he does now..Iconic performer.
Having the doors locked from the inside of the suites just tickles me to pieces, not to speak of rainy weather and a chair in the pool. RIp, Elvis , and love his sense of humor (Elvis's that is ) 🎶
Loved loved loved this!! I saw Elvis at the International when I was 14 years old. The tables were abut to the stage. I sat in the second seat from the stage. He was gorgeous!!
Im am so in love with Elvis I'm using my husband's you tube to comment my name is Jennifer. I have had my own experience with Elvis ghost. I was saying the entire time I was at Graceland that I was going to pick some grass from the front yard because I know he walked ran or laid on the front lawn. Anyway when i was walking up the walk way a feather fell right in the grass in front of me and I bent down to pick it up and was able to pick some grass without bing caught. I know Elvis let me do it I felt like giggling I looked up to the bedroom window and said thanks Elvis.
Interesting to hear that Elvis said a prayer before going on stage and also putting his left hand up on the wall as I f to say to himself,"let's do it"
Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!! I will never be able to afford to come to Las Vegas in my lifetime, I am an Elvis purist and to see his suite, dressing room, and his walk to the stage is truly something else.
I loved this....I know you want to discuss all Vegas aspects but I would a fan forever if you only covered Elvis!!!!!! The movie has gotten me started. I was living in town in 1972-1980-ish when Elvis was here. I did not have the culture or the wisdom to appreciate him then. I have my stories but knew some of the orchestra players. Your Folies friendly showgirl, Kathleen
Wow! This was absolutely excellent and so interesting. The first concert I ever went to was Elvis at the Chicago Stadium. Of course, back then there were no big screens and had to use binoculars. Oh, but his voice and that white jumpsuit! Thank you.
Elvis wanted to let his fans know he was there with the beeping of the camera. He could have drained the first battery so he could make the camera beep. Notice the footage kept trying to focus while it was beeping like something was moving in front of it. Elvis was a jokester. He was probably laughin at you.
WOW !!!!! Awesome video, absolutely beautiful place, and what an honor for you to be able to film this. Looking forward to future episodes. I think I need to plan a visit there next trip. Super great job Steven, thank you.
We were there years ago and my husband woke up to a woman in white walking across our room to the corner where she disappeared. This is not the last time he saw a ghost.
Thanks so much for sharing this insight into the behind the scenes life of Elvis, our KING! The place is so awesome! I look foreward to seeing more great footage, now that I have subscribed. Take care!
LOVED THIS VIDEO! I’m always interested in history and learning more about famous Vegas past & Elvis was GREAT! Your Westgate host gave so much fascinating info! 😎👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I’d now check this place out the next time I’m ever there
I worked with a director named Steve Binder who directed the 68 comeback special. He has a lot of great stories to tell about Elvis. The Colonel didn’t like my friend and never let Elvis see him again. He wouldn’t even let him into the Vegas show.
Elvis is still alive. You will all be surprised to see him come out in the next weeks or month. Witness protection in the “Gone With The Wind” program. Hallelujah. 👍😇👀🥋🎤
What is also interesting I visited that suite a few years back and was told totally fidderent stories about the room layout and also a different story about the contents etc
I saw Elvis at Sahara Tahoe just before he stormed Las Vegas! We tipped $300 to get stageside seats! Fabulous show! P.S. I got his scarf - still have it@
Awesome job on this Steven. We were at Westgate last March, just before COVID-19 shut everything down, and saw Barry Manilow. Looking forward to the next time you and Gordon team up to bring us more on this topic. BTW we are comin out tomorrow for a few days of R&R. Tell your wife she did a great job on our masks.
So well done. My wife & I wanted to go to the Westgate Elvis show I this it was going to be in July, but it was canceled. If you did a review of the Westgate, Please, send me a link. I'm 79 years old and a disabled vet, any suggestions about room, etc.
WOW. I love the variety of videos you are doing now, but, this video was especially awesome. Beforehand I never would have thought of going to Westgate, but it's clean, looks beautiful/spiffy. We're in LV for 17 days in November, will have to scoot over on my medical scooter from the Venetian or group of 5 comped casinos. Steven, as always you do a fantastic job?
The west Gate will not let you go see anything that has to do with Elvis . I tried several times to have someone show me the theater and they wouldn’t . They are not very nice people. I’d never go to West Gate again
After when I seen this Video and others who are talking about encountering the Ghost of ELVIS Presley I Question is "IS ELVIS TRYING TO COMMUNICATE TO PEOPLE AND WHY" ? I Also Question is ELVIS is Locking the door from the inside of his former room I Question Why ? If ELVIS Managed away to Toss this Heavy Chair in the Pool Again I Question WHY ? And My Final Question is Is it possible to find away to get these answers and is there away possible for ELVIS To Answer These Questions ?
That Elvis poster in the Westgate lobby is BS. Announcing Elvis' first appearance in 8 years ( July 31, 1969), using a ( mirrored) Elvis picture from August 1970 and mentioning J.D. Sumner and The Stamps, who started singing with Elvis only in the fall of 1971, replacing The Imperials.
Stop just Stop it!!!!!! He's dead & he won't be back not even in paradise ,, its written "Anyone who loves the world constitutes himself a enemy of God" either you believe in Jesus or you don't
You guys need to calm down and I don't think their saying he is coming back all they are saying is that you can feel his presence because he performed their a lot. Like some of you overreacts too much and it is not that serious.

Elvis has NOT left the building! 👍
Loved loved loved this!! I saw Elvis at the International when I was 14 years old. The tables were abut to the stage. I sat in the second seat from the stage. He was gorgeous!!
I'm so pleased you saw him! I've been to many concerts, but never saw Elvis. I wish I had. 😪
You were the perfect age.
Oh elvis go toward the light and enter into your rest. Rest in peace. You brought a lot of joy into many people's life. Go and get your reward.

Awesome stuff. A lot of work went in to this.
Very interesting history
I hope this is not true !! I hope that Elvis went into his light ! That he is in heaven with his family!!
WOW !!!!! Awesome video, absolutely beautiful place, and what an honor for you to be able to film this. Looking forward to future episodes. I think I need to plan a visit there next trip. Super great job Steven, thank you.

LOVED THIS VIDEO! I’m always interested in history and learning more about famous Vegas past & Elvis was GREAT! Your Westgate host gave so much fascinating info! 😎👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I’d now check this place out the next time I’m ever there
Thanks for this. Elvis fan here. I wish they would have left elvis's suite the way it was when he lived there.
Thanks Steven I loved the story of Westgate and Elvis. 👍
This video goes way beyond a Vlog.
Fantastic production!!
Being a Patreon, I feel my money was well placed.
Thanks Harvey that means a lot!
Great doc! Walking in the footsteps of Elvis, behind the scenes access and the stepbrother of Elvis.
This show was right up my alley.
I worked with a director named Steve Binder who directed the 68 comeback special. He has a lot of great stories to tell about Elvis. The Colonel didn’t like my friend and never let Elvis see him again. He wouldn’t even let him into the Vegas show.
I heard someone sigh while he was talking
Thanks Stephen, Elvis even sang in Odessa, Texas when he first started out.
Bravo Bravo Bravo Steven!
Thank you Steven and West Gate.
One of the best videos I’ve seen on this channel

You don't need to be demanding the way you ask is can you please give us the address
were i elvis presley body please let me know thankyou
paul brown
A goast is not a living being a goast cannot live in Vegas. Just daying 😅
Riveting!
You need to say please can you
Elvis only performed for about an hour each show though. Not two hours straight like most artists today. So at least elvis got a break after an hour.
Elvis looks like a bar of chocolate
Elvis hated the Vegas shows so I hope he didn't stay there .
He did stay in the hotel.
Wasn't he sick & burnt out on Vegas, medicated night & day? Reminder of Col. Parker taking advantage & losing his money gambling?
👎
Why do you have music over him talking? Lol
Lots of productions do that.
@@NOTLeavingLV ok well hard to focus on what he actually is saying but good video!
Filtration levels on those masks are??
Why are you guys wearing masks?? LOLOL
