In Jan of 1965 in was in the Navy and stationed at NAS Memphis in MIllington. I managed to get off base and a ride into town. I then made my way to Graceland. It was a different world then and Graceland was actually along a two way road in a rural area. I was in uniform standing at the main gate pretty much alone except for a few people along the fence line. As I was peering in at the home the gate strated ot open and a car pulled up from behind me. It was a new black 1964 Chrysler convertible. Elvis was driving and he stopped right beside me. I was at the passenger side door of the car. He got out of the car, looked me directly in the eye smiled and said, "Thank you for stopping by". It happened so quick;y I was completely dumbfounded. He looked great. I cant remember the exact date but it was around his 30th birthday. The encounter lasted for only a matter of seconds. I believe the reason he stopped and greeted me is because I was in uniform. It was a totally class thing to do. Fifty seven years later my wife and I visited Graceland. Everything was quite different except for the front gate entrance to Graceland. It was exactly as I remembered it as I stood on that same spot so many years later. We also visited RCA Studio B in Nashville where Elvis recorded so many great songs. I will always be a fan of this man's music.....

Nice video, bad music. I grew up watching and listening to Elvis. I remember the day I heard the announcement on the radio, he was dead. Shock went clear through me. Then as time pasted his daughter Lisa Marie Presley dated and married Michael Jackson. Then, later, Michael Jackson died much the same way. Over 40 years passes and a lot of imators pretended to be Elvis. Elvis sang gospel music on his tours. A man named Bob Joyce has now surfaced that is a pastor in his own small church. Everything about him shows he is the real Elvis Presley still alive at 89. I'm 110% convinced that Elvis faked his death and is still very much alive. His voice, singing, actions is the real Elvis Presley. An ordinary man at the age of 89 could not fake or act like the real Elvis Presley. Bob Joyce or rather Elvis Presley has a new August 2024 album out and I think it already sold out. I'm convinced that Michael Jackson learned through Lisa Marie how Elvis faked his death and has done the same. As for everyone there comes a point in life where one just wants to retire and get away from it all. There are pictures and videos showing up on the tube of Bob Joyce. He is the real Elvis Presley still alive. Simply amazing.
It is still, to this day, hard to believe he is gone. So thankful we have his music, movies and other media to remember him by. Thank you, Jenn!
Agreed. So honored to make this video. 😁

Thank you for this video, I have visited Graceland, but I was not aware of his and his mother’s original burial site. Most interesting!
Our pleasure!
Thank God that elvis is in graceland.
Agreed!
My father, mother and myself drove down from Ohio for his funeral. Of course, I don't remember it. My parents were huge Elvis fans. Great video
No way! How cool to say that they were there.
@WalkwithHistory I have a copy of the newspaper from that day

I enjoy your presentations, but the music with this one is beyond ridiculous, why ruin a video with something that is completely unnecessary.

@@WalkwithHistory did you know that on Elvis grave his middle name is alleged to be spelt wrong it should only have one A not two
@ I believe his middle name is actually spelled with the two A’s. 😊 But I did see that on his grave!
Agree, music is horrible. Could've gotten some generic music closer to Elvis style. Too loud as it sings over her talking too.
Absolutely terrible background “music”.
Thank you for the feedback. And thanks for watching! 😊
Rip Elvis
Should change the music and turn down bit
Thank you for the feedback and thank you for watching! 😊
At 3:17, I could not understand what you were saying because the music was too loud. Can you let me know what you were saying at that time mark?
One of the victims of the West Memphis three (sorry…missed that volume shift in the edit)
don't need the music in the background anoying and to loud

J'y était en Août 2024 en entrant la chapelle et assez petite l'arrière est beaucoup plus grand là où se trouve les tombes notamment celle d'Elvis🙏⚡️

Cool and factual. However, your music is really not necessary and drowns out most of your narration. Shame really!

All this time we've all been told he was buried at Graceland!!! 🤷
He is currently at Graceland but from Aug 18 to Oct 2 1977 he was at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Its well pubicised that Elvis was interred at Forest Hills first of all. He was moved to Graceland as someone tried to steal his body.
