In 1969 I was 20 years old and on my first visit to LA from London. The friend I was staying with knew Barbara McNair who came to dinner. She had recently finished filming change of habit with Elvis. While with us she called Elvis and he invited her out to see his Vegas show. 4 of us went with her. The show was audio-recorded and can be found on CD. Elvis introduced Barbara from the stage during the show. After, we were all invited to his dressing room. He looked amazing, a beautiful man in fact. Mama Cass was also present. Elvis was friendly, charming & engaging. We were there for quite some time, not a brief meet & greet. An amazing event in my life!

Coolest Elvis Vegas vlog. Can’t seem to get enough Elvis vlogs. You could easily get lost in that penthouse. Amazing watching you retrace Elvis’ steps from dressing room to the stage. The whole Elvis vlog is absolutely awesome. Thank you, Jordan. Thank you to the hotel in being very generous in letting you have all that access and filming all of it. God bless you and them

LOL I remember the day Elvis died, my dad woke us up with a cup of tea and told us he'd heard it on the radio. I still remember that clearly all these years later. Thanks for uploading, Jordan! x
I, too, remember the day Elvis died. I was living in Manhattan and shopping with a friend at the time, when we both heard someone say that Elvis had died. Sure enough, it was plastered all over the front pages of all the major newspapers as we passed by the newsstands. RIP Elvis.

Jordan-I got to take a tour of this suite a few years ago by accident-we were just asking about the tour in general, times, costs, etc.--and the lady that gave the tours said, “Just come with me” and we got to take this tour for free-except we gave her a nice tip of course! One thing I remember she told us is that the 4 white “lion head chairs” belonged to Elvis’ and were in his Graceland home originally. Enjoyed seeing this all again-thank you so much for doing this!!!
Wow...I saw Elvis at the International for my 21st birthday!! Thanks for this video! Brings back memories!! Elvis was charismatic! I couldn't believe I was there watching Elvis's show!!
Wow... what a vlog. It brought back so many memories. We stayed at the old Hilton (International) hotel in 1978 a year after Elvis died. The “Elvis floor” was closed and unoccupied when we stayed there. The hotel still had some pictures and posters up and staff at the time, talked about Elvis crashing Tom Jones concert. It was really interesting seeing the back stage, the penthouse room and the hallway to the stage. Elvis had not been dead a year when we went to Las Vegas and staff wasn’t sure what was going to be put in place in Elvis Memory.

Wow what a privilege to be allowed backstage and invited up to Elvis’s suite, amazing vlog Jordan thank you for taking the time to vlog this and take us with you. It’s certainly something you’ll never forget!
I was honored to see Elvis live six times and received my scarf an a kiss from him 1976 Portland Oregon. He was amazing Thank you for helping me remember great times.🙋🐦😃
I was in the Elvis suite and you did a fabulous job of capturing it. One of the claims is that the pull down bed in the 1st bedroom you visited was where Lisa Marie slept. It was amazing to be in the suite, could just feel the presence of Elvis...goosebumps style. Loved the presentation of this vlog...just the best. Of course, Elvis had a complete orchestra to back him..."That's The Way It Is" was great in showing how the Elvis shows were done. Thank you, thank you very much.
Oh my, I am over the moon on this vlog, what a perfect way to wake up on a new spring day and see how “the king of Las Vegas” rolled. The back stage in front of the stage, floor where he said his prayer... and his room. I have never in my life seen anything as beautiful as that room. When I was young I stayed with my Daddy at the International in a regular high-roller room at the time and it was nothing like this one that is for sure. Thank you so much for calling the Resort and seeing if you could film, The Westgate went out of their way for you allowing us a personal glimpse in providing a vision that none of us could ever imagine. I think next time I go to Vegas I’ll be staying at the Westgate myself. I’ll mention I saw your vlog 🐩 “Thank You Very Much”
Thanks for this great video, It really persuaded me to go to Vegas once to see where Elvis made part of the performance history. I always saw old videos from behind the scenes of his concerts, I never thought the place where he performed was so beautiful like that! I think Elvis left some of his energy there for the people. This is wonderful.
This is an excellent video! I am an Elvis Presley Fan, and when Elvis was alive and performing in Vegas, I was a child. I only know about his Vegas performances from the videos and films made of his Vegas performances. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into the past as to what it was like when Elvis was performing in Vegas 53 years ago.
Jordan...I must say that I enjoyed this video as much as any you've done. It is amazing to catch a glimpse of the behind-the-scene life and experience of Elvis and those that have followed him. True quality that most of us will never experience. Westgate was very generous in giving you (and us) a "back-stage" pass to this amazing place!
I'm a huge Elvis fan, and a non-professional Elvis tribute artist. I may never get to see this, but I'm so happy that you put so much time and effort into getting into the main areas of the Hotel. That was fabulous, and very interesting. Love all your videos, Jordan! Thank you, thank you very much!!!
Jordan, your unique filming style makes us believe we are walking by your side. What an amazing Vlog. Quite magical. Very generous of the Westgate to let us see backstage.
What a great video. My heat was actually pounding when you showed how Elvis went all the way around to the stage. People used to say he’d just appear because everyone was so worked up. The Colonel wanted Barbara Streisand to go first in case there were any kinks with the sound or other problems. Then they’d be worked out before Elvis had to go on. Thank you so much for the tour. It was so respectful and sensitive towards Elvis. It was like he really was visiting with us. 🎸🕺🏻🎸🕺🏻🎤🎤❤️❤️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
Watch “ the haunting of “ on the LMN TH-cam channel. Wayne Newton goes back to the hotel with a famous psychic medium Kim Rosso and he recounts his experience with Elvis. And while she’s doing the reading Bobby Darren comes through as well.
I used to work there. Several employees were still there from the opening of the hotel in 1969 and several of them had met Elvis and had stories about him. There is a very odd room below the stage that is not in this video but was used by him.
What an amazing look at this historic venue! Very exciting to see the backstage area and the King's dressing room. Cool to see Manilow's pianos, too! Thank you so much the guided tour and your excellent presentation, Jordan.
Hi Jordan. You make us feel like we are with Elvis! Basically, getting the chills watching this. Totally amazing. I miss traveling but your vlogs so bring the experience.
Definitely one of my favorite vlogs. That Elvis suite is Unbelievable!! Your room looked awesome too! So cool to see the stage through performers eyes. I've watched that Elvis show so many times. Thank you, Jordan❤
One of your very best vlogs Jordan! Loved every minute of it. My hubby won tickets in the early 70's for an Elvis show in Vegas and stupidly I told him to give the tickets away because I hate flying. I was thinking as I watched this that I could have been in that theater watching Elvis if I wouldn't have been so young and dumb! Thank you so much for this magical experience.
Jordan you do a great job with your tours. Especially with the little background information that you insert. Also your filming style is smooth and easy to watch. BZ
Does this bring back wonderful memories. Every time Elvis played at the Hilton (Or the International), I was there. My girlfriend and I would make reservations. take Friday off work and drive to Vegas. We'd go to the midnite show on Friday, then on Saturday we would go to both shows. As soon as the dinner show was over we would go and get back in line for the midnight show, hoping for good seats. Seating depended on how much you would tip the Maitre Di and how he liked you or what kind of mood he was in. You DID NOT want to upset him...When Elvis came on stage the showroom exploded with us all screaming, When he sang Love Me Tender we knew he was going to hand out the scarves and kiss some of the girls. He had the most beautiful smile and eyes. And he had a lot of fun on stage...I still miss him so...
Wow! I'm so envious! I was going to marry Elvis when I grew up. lol. That man was gorgeous! He was always my husband when my neighbor and I played house when we were young. We'd put Elvis records on her small record player. He died when I was 12. I've been to Vegas around a dozen times and Graceland twice. Did you get a scarf? Thanks for sharing.-Carol
@@superpsyched5624 Sorry you never got to see him.. you would have loved him in person. He had a love affair with the audience. God broke the mold when he made Elvis. No, unfortunately I never got a scarf. I am short and everytime I reached for one. someone always taller reached over my head and snatched it.
@@judyfowler3069 Yes, God did break the mold after making him. I'm short too so I understand why getting a scarf never happened. I brought my cousin and sister-in-law in the 90's with me to Vegas. Took them to a Boylesque show. Tipped the maitre d 20 dollars and got front row seats. I'm sure it would have been comparatively a lot more for an Elvis concert.
@@superpsyched5624 I don't remember how much the show was, but I remember the hotel room at the Hilton was $25.00..Think the show was around that also. Plus we had to tip the maitre di.
I was in that theatre many times in the early 2000 -2009 , Saw Brooks & Dunn there about 17 times Sat in the front row several times. I even got to go to a meet greet in that dressing room.
Hi love your videos Jordan!!! A Canadian Elvis fan here!! Saw Elvis 30 times from 69 to 76!!! From 69 to 70 saw Elvis 18 times at the International....best times ever!!! 😊 Lots of great stories!!! After that we saw him in lake Tahoe (and around the Pacific Northwest) as we could drive there from western Canada (BC)......met Elvis in 67 and 68 in L.A. He was so sweet and kind to all his loving fans when you met him!!!! I taped all the shows i saw lol.....a fan forever!!! Keep up the great work doing your fabulous videos, love them!!!! ......🥰🇨🇦
Thank you for the video...what great insight to how Elvis lived. I think it's awesome that a man who came from such poor beginnings really made such an impact on the world. How amazing is that?
I am sure Jordan you thanked the hotel staff and or management many times for the excellent access that you were given for this video. Well shot and the information which accompanied your video was excellent! Thank you for sharing your extensive research on Elvis and have a great day! Ivo
The hotel wanted Elvis to be the first to perform. Colonel Parker said no, when Barbara performed her show was plagued with technical difficulties, as Parker had suspected would happen. After the first show, the bugs in the system were fixed, it wasn't Parkers first rodeo.
WOW! Am no AMERICAN but somehow it added to my instant imaginary travel for cool view of ALL ELVIS NOSTALGIA PLACES and ALL THINGS ATTRIBUTED to. He was THE KING . . . the GLOBAL SPARK PLUG of ROCK 'n' ROLL and the FIRST TEENAGE PNP MUSIC IDOL. Great thanks to you Mr. JORDAN and of course for WESTGATE PEOPLE who respects THE KING and his unmatched irreplaceable feat in GLOBAL POP MUSIC on thru this pervading HIGH TECH ERA!!!
Thanks for this. The way you felt walking in Elvis footsteps at the hotel is how i felt a few weeks ago visiting graceland for the first time aling with sun studio. Im not in awe of many celebrities, but this is elvis!
Uh-MAY-ZING!!! Now that is an inside scoop! To have your own little personal backstage view, tour a Penthouse suite, take us all with you to show where the greats hang out and perform, this is indeed a great treat. Thank you. Thank you very much. (In Elvis speak!)
Just amazing Jordan. I worked as a Real Estate agent at the Las Vegas Country Club during my time living in Las Vegas. You looked at it out the window in your vlog. It's to the rear of the Westgate and to the left as well. It was the Hilton still and changed hands while I lived there to the Westgate. My only claim to fame in that Hotel was one December when I was leaving the Sands Convention Center. I parked in the Hilton parking garage and so had to walk through the halls of the Westgate/Hilton to get to the garage. A long walk! I came to where the halls convened and there was a small crowd and I was looking as walking at the 15 or so people there and bumped right into a woman who also was looking at the crowd. She was speaking and I knew that voice in an instant. I looked and I said "Oh excuse me!" it was Dolly Parton. She was heading to the elevator with her entourage. Whodah thought?! In your vid you didn't mention and couldn't mention everyone who entertained there. But Connie Stevens was a big one in the 70's as well. Thanks again. BTW are these a "Jah Production"? J
thank you so much I am a life long Elvis fan and will most likely never get a chance to go to Vegas myself but thanks to you I get to see this....Thank You!
I’ve stayed here many times in the early/mid 2000’s for trade shows. I had no idea that was all up there, amazing. I didn’t have time to explore unfortunately. I’m glad the Westgate is keeping his memory alive. I don’t remember seeing a lot of the photos on the walls of the lobby either, or his statue. There was a woman working in the gift shop that said she was there when Elvis was, I wish I could remember now but boy did she have some stories to tell about those days. She also swore my husband was Ricky Schroeder using an alias also, so who knows if her stories were true. If not at least they were fun!
WOW WOW WOW THANK U JORDAN 4 sharing this vlog its ABSOLUTELY AMAZING I love ELVIS 2 my mom is a big E fan so I grew up hearing him watching him loving him and his music, He was such a big deal in my life even though I hadn't known him in real life I remember EXACTLY WHERE I WAS when his passing was announced I was sitting on a wooden deck porch with friends at YMCA camp in Big Bear calif listening to the radio and they announced it we all were just crushed and cried and cried it still breaks my heart when I got home I collected everything I could find and put it in my scrap book it feels like I'm back on that day anytime I think back. Thanks Jordan! as a Elvis fan i completely understand who you must felt standing om that stage. It was a great tour taking us backstage and to his old room. That was very nice to see!
The years as a roadie and now a musician: coming from Australia I've never seen anything like this. I'm not a jaw droping person but this video dried out my throat. Thank you very much appreciated.
WOW !! When you look at the 1960's facade of that building, you would never imagine the Elegance of those Rooms inside ! So many Vlogs you've done Jordan. This one moves up near the top of my list of Favorites. You did an Amazing Job showing and describing everything. I am also an Elvis Fan.
Jordan - This was a wonderful video! That was so kind and accommodating of the management to set you up in that beautiful room and give you so much access to their facility and that they kept so many artifacts and feel of the presley era there. The facility is beautiful and all the details you gave were facinating. This was a gem. Thank you so much Jordan. Hope you and Jah are safe and healthy. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
Cool video..The reason Barbara opened the showroom before Elvis was because Parker thought because it was brand new their would be bugs and problems with the sound system..
This was absolutely fascinating seeing this piece of Elvis history. Thanks for this tour, and , yes, by all means, give a BIG thanks to Westgate Resorts for allowing this.
I snuck in the theater once when the cleaning guy wasn't watching. The vibes were still there. It was incredible standing there just looking at that stage.
I love this !! I especially love the hallway and the elevator where Elvis' dressing room was. It's funny that you shared this video today, because I've been watching several videos about Elvis playing at the International for the past couple of weeks. I would have only been 6 months old when Elvis did his 1st concert here. Great job Jordan !!
Great vlog Jordan. I’ve lived in Vegas my entire life. You definitely knew when Elvis was in town. There was a buzz energy unlike any performer since. If those walls could talk? So many major events in his life occurred there in that hotel. Joe Esposito, a few years before he passed away, use to guide a personal tour of the hotel and points of interest once or twice a year. I would love to know the reaction the hotel management had when they found out Elvis and his guys spray painted the decorative angels in either the showroom or in his suite? A Q& A with Mario (his personal waiter) or any of the immediate staff he continually dealt with during hose days would be fascinating, Again, great vlog!
Have framed poster from The International Hotel July 31st 1969. (Says 4 weeks only on it) I was married in The Little Church of the West 7/30 (seen in closing shot of Viva Las Vegas as Lucky & Rusty leave Chapel) Your Bday❣ Ty for Another great Elvis Vlog💕
I really enjoy watching your videos. In these hard times it’s great to see a happy face and someone who is very passionate about what they do. Keep up the amazing work Jordan.
The statue was originally outside the entrance to the hotel , we visited from the UK . And were lucky enough to be shown around backstage by an employee .I was lucky enough to stand on that very square!! He told us yhe elevator that went upto the 30th floor actually had a secret door that led straight to Elvis suite ... amazing experience.
What a perfect vlog!!! That was so over the top!! A big Thank you to you and a big Thank you to Westgate Resort!! Seriously this was fantastic getting to see where Elvis actually performed! I don’t know how you managed to get a “Royal” tour, but this was fantastic to watch!! I am so happy to have seen this!! Awesome!!!
I went to the International hotel few years ago I was so excited I wanted to go see the suite Elvis stayed in, the hotel manager told me the suite was not 3 suites so I couldn't see it however he let me go in his dressing room and stand on the stage where he performed ot was a dream come true for me, I was 11 when he passed away didn't have a clue who he was until then, when the TV stations started playing his concerts I found my hero. Long live the King!
Very interesting video of 837 consecutive performances of Elvis is truly remarkable. If walls and stages could talk. The back stage area is a lot bigger than you imagine. The concerts must have been remarkable experience to be at during the days of Elvis. What ever it was about singing stars, Elvis had it that’s for sure. Great stuff
Wow Jordan Las Vegas really laid out the red carpet for you and so they should have. That room is beautiful! I love your videos. Never seen Elvis in concert but in hindsight I sure wish I would have. In high school we had a typing teacher who ALWAYS wore a scarf that she said she received from Elvis in Las Vegas! Barbra Streisand is also another class "A" act. For the price of the Elvis suite I'm thinking that's a lot of money I could be spending in the casinos. Great vlog Jordan, you're the best!

I toured back when Westgate first opened their Elvis exhibit with the jumpsuits etc. The suites on the top floor are spectacular. From what I understand when Westgate took over they said they were either gonna go all in with the Elvis stuff or have no Elvis at all. They went all in and did absolutely amazing with it. They contracted with Elvis Presley Enterprises and created an entire museum and everything. It was beautiful when I went through...
That was a great tour you took us on, Elvis was just amazing there is not one like him and never will be. That is really great they let you tour the dressing room and stage and of course his suite. Nice

Wow what a privilege to be allowed backstage and invited up to Elvis’s suite, amazing vlog Jordan thank you for taking the time to vlog this and take us with you. It’s certainly something you’ll never forget!
It was a true honor
I was honored to see Elvis live six times and received my scarf an a kiss from him 1976 Portland Oregon. He was amazing
Thank you for helping me remember great times.🙋🐦😃
Lovely distraction today, thanks. I go to LV every year and have never done this.
Elvis was one of a kind and your dedication to the King is always appreciated. The Wayne Newton story was very strange to say the least
In later years Wayne Newton tried to be a comic. It never went over very well.
I would love too stay there
One of your best! Love Elvis!
When you stood on stage looking out, I had goose bumps! Wonderful vlog and the ultimate in coolness! Thank you Jordan!
Me too.. it felt surreal
Hi Jordan. You make us feel like we are with Elvis! Basically, getting the chills watching this. Totally amazing. I miss traveling but your vlogs so bring the experience.
What a surprise! For an Elvis fan this is a MUST SEE!!
@@judyfowler3069 Definitely worth it for sure!
Ivo
This was incredible! Thank you so much❤
The hotel wanted Elvis to be the first to perform.
Thanks for showing some of what was in the files. That's so interesting and the notations on the guest list wow, a story in itself.
This was awesome. Thank you for this. I live close. I didn’t even think of coming here and I’m such a big fan
Fantastic Jordan. Thank you very much !
I still get chills visiting Graceland
Thanks for this. The way you felt walking in Elvis footsteps at the hotel is how i felt a few weeks ago visiting graceland for the first time aling with sun studio. Im not in awe of many celebrities, but this is elvis!
Uh-MAY-ZING!!! Now that is an inside scoop! To have your own little personal backstage view, tour a Penthouse suite, take us all with you to show where the greats hang out and perform, this is indeed a great treat. Thank you. Thank you very much. (In Elvis speak!)
Elvis has left the building
You did it again , took us to a place we would Never have seen ! Thank you , Great Job Tour !
Jordon what a wonderful video thank you so much . Wanted to cry when you walked the hallway and elevator, say Elvis on videos walking them .
Damn dude. Thank you for making this tour happen. I was always curious about Elvis’ Famous suite. Amazing! Elvis deserved it. RIP 🙏🏼
She was convinced I was Ricky Schroeder. The way she looked at me and rubbed the hair on my arm was so cute. She had Gaga eyes.
@@allencarpenter-rickert5829 She looooved you!! 😍😍😍
Yea she did!
Awesome video, great work.
I love this blog. Great to see all the incredible Elvis history and all the beautiful rooms!! Thank you Jordan.
Thanks again 4 all ur hard work/fun Adventures that u share with the world, You are a great Entertainer ELVIS would be proud to call you friend and colleague. Keep it up Much love 2 U, Jah, and fam ❤✌❤🙏🇺🇲💯🤗😎💯
Wowzzzzz I enjoyed seeing every minute of this vlog Jordan ❤ Elvis was the king and still is no one will ever replace him 💙🎶🎙
My first time visiting Las Vegas (2018) & first hotel i stayed in was there in Westgate, always have a special place in me. Never knew too much about Elvis’s history in there ti’l later on, & wow.
Thanks Jordan! as a Elvis fan i completely understand who you must felt standing om that stage.
It was a great tour taking us backstage and to his old room.
That was very nice to see!
It was an awesome feeling. Thats why I just had to sing one line at least
@@DazewithJordantheLion i would to Jordan.
And probably more then one line ;)
To stand on that holy ground men I wish I could do that.
This gave me goosebumps! The suite is a bit intimidating, but, for Elvis, more is better. Thanks for sharing this video ❤️
This experience revisiting moments in the life of the greatest performer that ever lived was phenomenal…thank you!!!
I’m a westgate owner and when I visit Las Vegas, I always stay there. But, I’ve never seen the backstage! What a treat! Thank you!
Once again amongst the many vlogs, you hit it out of the park Jordan the Lion. Thank you.
Thank you
Cool video..The reason Barbara opened the showroom before Elvis was because Parker thought because it was brand new their would be bugs and problems with the sound system..
Love and miss Elvis Presley
I actually got married here in 2009. Had no idea of all the history here. Thanks for the great vlog!
Have framed poster from The International Hotel July 31st 1969. (Says 4 weeks only on it)
I was married in The Little Church of the West 7/30 (seen in closing shot of Viva Las Vegas as Lucky & Rusty leave Chapel) Your Bday❣
Ty for Another great Elvis Vlog💕
The concerts must have been
remarkable experience to be at during the days of Elvis.
Thank you for sharing. Thank you Westgate for inviting us in.
Jordan super great vlog I love all your vlogs I super like the Elvis vlogs because I am a really big Elvis fan because both my parents who are both passed away where big Elvis fans as well
What a great video. It's nice to know not everything old in Vegas is gone.
Nice
I have *never* wanted to go to *Vegas* BUT after watching this *video* I would go *JUST* to stay at the *Westgate!*
*So very, very beautiful!* ❤️
What a great video! As a HUGE Elvis fan, I have to admit I am super jealous. Thank you for sharing!!!
I absolutely love your videos Jordan but this was the absolute best.. thank you and also to Westgate for preserving Elvis xx
Whoa, what a suite! Love it! Thanks for taking me back to 1969, Jordan, making me feel like I was there. This vlog just became one of my top faves!
This was an incredible vlog Jordan! As an Elvis fan thanks for showing this. Always cool to see behind the scenes of the stage and what was his room at the time. The food looked delicious
