A lot of people are saying that they probably just "forgot the battery". Two things: One, I get why people seem to think this. Scott and his team have made errors like this in the past (There's a FNAF2 minigame where Freddy is missing his hat, lmao). However, the head and the battery are *literally* the two most important things to the Stitchwraith's design, those and his cloak. Forgetting something like that feels... really off to me. But two--and much more importantly--missing the battery doesn't change the fact that the Stitchwraith's appearance outside of Oswald's window still doesn't make any sense with context of the Stitchwraith Stingers. Jake doesn't stalk kids, he helps them. And when he helps them, he takes the form of how he looked when he was a human, *not* as the Stitchwraith. Which tells me that there's still something really weird going on. Of course, it's all up to interpretation. Feel free to theorize however you'd like! But me, personally, I'm sticking to my guns on this one.
If it’s meant to follow the book timeline of events, into the pit would take place before Jake starts helping souls pass on. This would be an earlier stitchwraith, likely with Andrew, and are seeking out the agony infected objects.
@@Cryonide They would be looking for objects, but would be mistaken, as it would be Oswald’s father giving off the agony ‘signals’. Which is why they observe only. They investigate and find it’s not what they are looking for. Looking at the summaries some more, it could be between the end of Afton and Andrew and the confrontation with Elanor, since Jake keeps getting flashes of the pit. That would give him a reason to be following Oz. It’s also called out during the Taggart scene that the battery glows red when he’s killing Taggart. It’s possible the battery only glows when it’s able (or about) to lash out with agony, so after Andrew is gone, it wouldn’t glow.
My money's on it being a slight redesign and that the battery still exists, it's just not glowing bright red in order to keep the easter egg subtle and creepy. It's not like book character designs are set in stone, as Fetch is redesigned in this game and the Plushtrap Chaser looks different between the cover, the graphic novel, and the actual description in the story.
Fetch killing Andrew deletes all the motivation Andrew had. The entire reason he even exists is to be an angry AFTON victim. If he was killed by Fetch, he has literally no purpose to exist. Like what?
Theory: The stitchwraith is becoming Nightmarrionne. Both Nightmarionne and ITP Stitchwraith have small teeth, two white pupils for eyes, and a skeletal appearance. Perhaps rather than Eleanor taking control, Jake is starting to "mutate".
I feel like it's just a fun non-canon Easter Egg, like GGY being mentioned in 1985, or "Camera 1280" on the monitor when there are only 7 cameras, and not meant to be overanalyzed for obscure lore hints. On that note, they also probably just forgot about the battery, since it's an obscure easter egg that most testers probably wouldn't come across, and so no one would be there to correct it.
It's already been said that a lot of content was removed from the game at Scott's request. There was even another stitchwraith appearance that worked similarly but was removed. And this one has three animated sprites and can actually be interacted with, unlike simple text or background sprite references. I really find it hard to believe this is one the same level as the Cam_1280 easter egg
@@janno7214 Why is it not at the same level as Cam_1280? That is also not removed from the game. One SW easter egg being removed doesn't change my first point, which is the most important part of my comment. It does make it more likely that someone would notice the battery missing though, so fair enough for that.
@TheGeladoo The stitchwraith easter egg is more active which makes it more likely to be actually lore relevant rather than just an easter egg imo. It has 3 animated sprites, you have to actively try to get it, and it affects the environment by flashing the light and disappearing when you get close to it. It's undeniably much more fleshed out than a simple background sprite like cam_1280
@@janno7214 Ok now that is a valid point, I don't really agree with it (I feel like it would need to be a bit more fleshed out than a sprite, like for example Oswald reacting to it vanishing instead of it just popping up in the background) but at least I see where you're coming from
I think everyone is trying to find little things to help build lore and back story, biggest thing we all missed is that the map of fazbear’s in into the pit… why you might be asking? WE HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS LAYOUT IN ANY OTHER GAME MEANING THERE IS ANOTHER LOCATION THAT WAS BUILT THAT WE NEVER KNOW ABOUT! We always thought Jeff’s pizza just bought out Fnaf 1 or 2’s location but we were wrong, also meaning that into the pit could be in the same time line as the actual Fnaf series, which then opens up another door that all books are in the same timeline as Fnaf which could work if we place the books in chronological order
You can rather cleanly fit 1985 Freddy's map onto the left side of the FNAF 1 map, with the only difference being the Ballpit Room replacing Parts and Service, which also could be explained. I already have believed StitchlineGames since Lally's Game released, and the Into the Pit game sort of proves it to me.
Each major reference to other Frights stories are slightly off. Stitchwraith: missing the battery, plus the white eye is different from the other official illustration (idk if it says which eye is white in the books?) To Be Beautiful: Eleanor doesn't give the necklace until the very end, rather than the very beginning Fetch: Fetch is a classic silver robodog, and Fetch mauls a random kid Count the Ways: BonBon makes an appearance If we want to stretch this further, there are obviously lots of things that happen in the Into the Pit game that don't happen in the book, and vice versa. What this all means, I don't know, but I think it is something important to note.
0:26 I hate that everything has to be vague and ambiguous, just for the sake of being ambiguous. So mostly anything can be argued for or against, all for the sake of argumentative discussions lol.
It truly feels like Scott creates, purely to activate discussions of the game/story. Rather than FNAF being held up by it’s facts, it’s actually the lack of…
So 2 things: the battery missing could possiibly be explained as a stylistic choice. having a bright red center piece that draws your attention to it would have made the easter egg a bit too obvious. not this blink and you'll miss it thing. so either leaving it off entirely or covering it up with the cloak would make sense with that mindset if they had that. which is also a thing: what if it is just covered up by the cloak? the sprite is very undefined in what exactly is what, but to me it appears to be angled in such a way that the battery could be hidden completely beneath the cloak. and the second thing with why would the stitchwraith stalk oswald. well, what if this isn't after the epilouges but rather before? At a point where jake was trying to gather all the andrew-infected items, and was aware that if he got to close to a person andrew (and willy) would zap them. so he doesn't and just waits outside waiting for oswald to leave so he can start looking. as for which item he is after ... i dunno. there are a lot of candidates. the freddy mask from the attic, the fnaf 4 toys, ... maybe he was at the wrong house ... whatever the case, this being earlier than the epillouges makes more sense though at the end of the day, I am just spitballing things here two seconds after I finished the video. I dunno what any of this actually means
The Stitchwraith isn't a "blink and you'll miss it" thing in the game though. It stays on screen until you try to walk up to it, *then* it disappears. As for why whether or not this could be a prequel to the epilogues, maybe? But yeah, you'd have to figure out which infected item he's after. I also think he'd be much more interested in Oswald's father rather than Oswald himself, considering... you know.
here is the problem with that fetch kid being andrew, if he is then the entirety of fazbear fights and andrew as vengeful spirit. (and yes he is the vengeful spirit golden freddy be damned.) goes out the fucking window. how andrew gets into fetch is andrew is possessing william and preventing him from dying no matter what the hospital does, william gets karted to a distribution center and explodes. (i do belive the body actually does survive this despite how destructive this sounds, bare in mind i have not read the passage myself so it could describe blood and bone and viscera going everywhere. please prove this.) spreading dark remnant on to everything and corrupting every item in frights including fetch, ejecting andrew in the process. meaning by the time of the story fetch andrew was already possessing the battery. andrew was killed by william not fetch.
I'll have to check again, but I'm fairly sure the battery only glows whenever the Stitchwraith is using its "powers." For example: when Andrew uses his agony powers or when Jake uses his memory powers.
4:06 It's Jeff's Pizza/Freddy's map from the main game. Golden Freddy is where he is normally located, with the security office through the right door. And Fetch is then located in the party room (The murder room.....Would you like the murder room or the roach room?) 5:03 Ya I believe Greg is at home when he get's the "C U" message (I believe he is looking at Kimberley's body when the message appears on his phone.) I don't think he EVER goes back to Freddy's after his original visit when he finds Fetch. Plus, This kid has Black hair, same as Andrew, who is described as having Black Curley hair. GN Greg is Blonde, while Novel Greg has Brown and wears a Blue shirt with Jacket (similar to Oswald). He does not die at Freddy's, nor does he wear Red like this kid does. Also, I believe at some point in the Epilogues (Don't quote me on this bit), Eleanor is said to be the "Evil" that was inside Afton's mind in TMIR1280 (Most believe this is Andrew). Meaning Andrew's origins might be elsewhere. And, based on this minigame, this might be the answer. But whether he's TOYSNHK(and he goes through the events in TMIR1280) or this kid from the minigame, the outcome is still the same. 5:44
Into the Pit the game is already inherently different than than the book, in the book, school just ended, while in the game it just started. Not to mention the story isn’t five nights long, so details like the battery don’t need to be here, meaning its absence could be as simple as the artist thought the sprite looked cooler without it
Scott didn't even write most of the Frights, so they are non-canon by default, while the FF games will be directed by Scott so they will be rewritten, that's why, for example, Fetch looks different and kills people Millie was killed by Funtime Freddie with a bonbon Eleanor gave Sarah the Necklace at the END of her transformation, I have nothing to do with Frights here because it is a rebuilt and better story
Maybe the lack of battery is supposed to be a meta design choice to tell us this takes place after Andrew (the battery soul) has passed on - a *figurative* lack of battery shown literally as the only way of conveying that information. Or alternatively, as Oswald has been getting haunting-brainwarped since before the start of the game (dreaming of animatronics and drawing them) probably due to having been in that pizzeria all summer with the ballpit only tipping him over the edge, maybe the Stitchwraith either is one of the ghosts, or else one of the ghosts was terrorised by the Sitchwraith.
I like your cycle theory where the ball pit is purgatory and Oswald is actually dead reliving his death over and over again at the hands of the spring trap monster in the pit. Perhaps the stitchwraith is there with his corpse or soul but hasn't gotten his attention yet or maybe Oswald is so focused on saving his dad's soul from the pit that he wouldn't let the stitchwraith in to help.
That sprite wasn't meant to be seen that clearly, so there are details that they probably didn't need to include. In animation, there's a concept often called "garbage area" by laymen. These are parts of the figure that are not finished or drawn very roughly because the viewer was never meant to see them in the first place. Looking at the sprite outside of its proper context is not real evidence.
the pick up balloons minigame takes place in the same freddys location the rest of the game takes place in because everything is in the same spots including the same worn down golden freddy suit, the long empty hallway you normally dont see during gameplay (but which is on the map), and the locked room
@@Cryonide The sprite seems to be specifically made for being behind that window, there would've been no reason to make it more detailed than you would be able to see. I think that to them, all that would've been important is just that you could tell it was the stitchwraith behind that window, that's it. Might be lame explanation, and I'd love it if I ended up being proven wrong, but I personally doubt there's more behind it than that.
At a certain point in development, the Stitchwraith could be found in different areas of the world. In the Japanese Switch version that released a day early, you could actually find a beta sprite of the Stitchwraith behind the school (you can find the sprite on the fandom wiki, if you'd like. I also don't know if the beta Stitchwraith has been patched out yet). The fact that the Stitchwraith went through multiple design changes and wasn't always behind the window make it really hard for me to believe that either they forgot to add the battery, or that they thought that nobody would notice a design choice like that.
The battery doesn't attach to the Stitchwraith like a magnet on a fridge. There's a slot on its endoskeleton that the battery slots into. It's explained in the third epilogue.
I honestly wouldn't exclude the possibility that they forgot to put it. While I love Into The Pit, the game feels like it has references that Mega Cat doesn't know the significance of. For example, one of the arcade machines in the past has GGY on it, despite the fact that Gregory wouldn't have been born yet. There's also the Minireenas in the security office, which, while not technically a continuity issue, doesn't really have much of an explanation. It's not really insane to suggest that Mega Cat Studios decided to put the Stitchwraith there, without actually understanding what exactly the Stitchwraith is, or forgot the significance of its battery pack. No hate to Mega Cat, obviously, just pointing that out.
You may be onto something with the loop. A couple of notes: 1) when you try to leave after you tried it the first time, you get the message that looks like Oswald is talking to himself. But if you keep trying to leave, even in the later nights, he just says, "Seriously?", which doesn't feel like something one would say to themselves. 2) Oswald doesn't necessarily see the Stitchwraith - the player does. We can only confirm that he sees the things that cause reaction or interaction, and he does neither with the Stitchwraith outside his window. That might help tighten up a few things.
one thing that kind of stands out to me is Oswald's ptsd and the idea of knowing too much. He sees the bullies as the animatronics near the end of the game because of how traumatized he is. Is it possible he's seen the true form of the stitchwraith but... Maybe didn't get a good look at him? He knows what the Endos look like, after all, and if he only saw the stitchwraith's face without knowing who or what the stitchwraith is, perhaps this is just a hallucination, and not actually the stitchwraith?
I think loop theory could be true, one of the endings is a happy moment with Oswald surrounded by family and groups of other happy people in side of a restored pizzeria. Witch could be one of the seens in one of the glass balls
I am on board with your theory, the only thing I'll say is that there needs to be an explanation for why the Stitchrafe is there as the Stitchrafe stringers happened after Into the Pit since the the ballpit is still filled with Agony during Oswald's journey in it. Aside from that I 100% agree with your theory. I may even have a theory to solve this problem but it is a stretch and has little evidence, the ballpit is able to transport Oswald to 1985 (maybe because it was the event that caused the most Agony) so it can be that when Jake went to the ballpit Eleanor was transported to a different point in time (maybe the next event that caused the second most Agony, possibly the bite of 83, Charlie's death also in 1983 or even just when Oswald went into the pit) and overtime was free of her prison Jake put her in. And since the Ballpit was where Eleanor was kept she emerged there and was drawn to Oswald and that's also why the Stitchrafe is there to begin with. It can also be the branch between the books and the games if they are indeed in separate canons but that is even more of a stretch and is just a guess at this point. Also here is some more evidence for your theory, the mask doesn't move at all in the books and the Agony from Eleanor could cause the body and mask to fuse. Also the fact the Stitchrafe disappears with the lights turned off, it feels like that the Stitchrafe does it themselves and agony has been shown to effect electricity and it's surroundings in general so there's that as well. I also came up with theories of when the present time in ITP takes place, is Oswald's dad the Freddy Bully (which I hate the theory to begin with) and does Oswald's dad have a connection to Freddy's. If you want to hear them just let me know or you can check out my posts on TheGameTheory subreddit.
Andrew needs to die before fetch, since fetch occurs after the man in room 1280. The Golden Freddy at the start of the minigame has moving eyes, and could be indicating Andrew. More likely the character is one of the ppl Fetch mauls in the story.
I have two ideas on why the battery not being visible possibly doesn't matter. One is that what we see in the files is not Canon because that is not the intended way to see the stitchwraith. You are supposed to only see him through the window and what we see there is what is intended. Idea two is that it could simply just be a redesign. Perhaps The art that people use for him isn't in continuity with the game and the Mask is supposed to look different and the battery isn't located on his chest. If the mask looks completely different, why might the battery not just simply being a different location
9:38 oswald probably only sees the stitchwraith as itself instead of as jake because of whatever reason oswald doesn’t always see the pit monster as his dad. or maybe i’m stupid, i didn’t read the books.
Just wanted to point out there’s another stitch wrath Easter egg Ik the school thé tells you to not let the animatronics escape while you play as Andrew I think you should look into that
Recently a theory spawned on Twitter that basically shares the possibility Oswald can see the future, or at least glimpses of it, humans having super-abilities like this was an idea introduced well into Fazbear Frights (if not already on the trilogy), we have characters like Susie, Hudson's grandma and so on, even on Tales we have stuff like this with Alone Together where the implications are that seeing ghost is on itself superhuman. The idea explains a lot from what Oswald lives through, why does he draw the Freddy gang? Visions, why does he sees the Stitchwraith? Visions, how can there be minigames to the other short stories if they haven't happened yet? Visions
I feel like the battery could also just.. have been moved to a different position on the body, or altered to not be glowing to make the easter egg more subtle
Another thing is... Stitchwraith doesn't exist at this point in the timeline. This is before Pizzeria Simulator, while the epilogues make it VERY, VERY clear that the Stitchwraith Stingers happen AFTER Pizzeria Simulator. All of them. But i love this version of Loop Theory. Genuinely 10/10, i think this might be what i go with for now.
Pretty sure they just didn’t sprite it/forgot about it. With the game having such a heavy focus on Andrew they obviously didn’t forget about him. The Stitchwraith is literally in shadows.
I think your first conclusion is literally the correct one. This game simply can not be in continuity with the Fazbear Frights book. Therefore, this is a different stitchwraith, not abiding by anything stated in about him in the books.
Option D: the battery isn’t attached to the neck. We only have the one picture, and it’s described as being the heart, and it needs to be exposed to be shot, but I don’t think it’s ever specified to be hanging around the neck like a bow tie. If it can be moved, after getting shot, moving it might be the smarter option. [some text lists it as being in the chest, not sure if that’s from the stories or was added by someone summarizing] That said, the face might be the better argument. It’s always described as a mask, not something with a working jaw. It seems like a dark reflection, what someone who heard about the stitchwraith might imagine. Oswald is probably psychically sensitive, like a medium, or the girl in alone together that can see ghosts. So the general fear of the stitchwraith might be ‘in the air’ and Jake picks up on that. The order of stories would put into the pit before the final battle between Jake and Elanor. If it takes place afterwards, that breaks the book’s order of events. [same reason Fetch doesn’t kill Andrew, Andrew is already dead by man in room 1280, which leads to objects getting infected like Fetch.]
We have two pictures, the battery is in the same spot in both. Also, I really doubt that the heart can be moved so easily. If he can hardly move without his battery, I doubt he can take it off and reattach it somewhere else. I also personally believe that the face is a good argument, but my artist friend disagreed. He said that changing the face isn’t the most unlikely thing ever, but agreed that the battery being missing made no sense.
This was a really good video! One concern I have though, is that I fail to see why the idea of _Into the Pit_ taking place after _Stitchwraith Stingers_ is even entertained? Was the entire point of the ending not that Jacob exorcised the agony pit? How could the memory world even exist after that? That would stop the entire story from happening, would it not?
My theory: Into the pit (the story) and other feazber frights aren't canon, but into the pit(the game) and return to the pit(interactive novel) are. The interactivr novel is a reteling of the story,so it could fit into timeline, and is apart from other feazber frights stories. I also think that the minigames are just easter eggs, just like the twisted ones poster in oswalds room,or Garetts plane in the room where Oz's dad was tied up.
I still believe it's just a adaptation and don't get why it should be anything else. Using a game in any timeline, that allows you to call a RANDOM number to hear springtraps death is clearly not canon, no matter what.
FETCH IS NOT THE ONLY ANIMATRONIC DOG. there is another dog in the broken wheel which the minigame dog is 100% based on. this one is super complicated but i think its just a design choice
Totally forgot about that, you're absolutely right that there's another dog. I still think it's pretty obviously meant to be Fetch though (the C U at the end really tells all).
Okay so, commenting this before the video ends (around the 9:00 mark), but I think I have an inkling of what could be happening here- at least, in terms of the Stitchwraith's presence in this game. Maybe that's Jake watching Oswald, wanting to understand his torment so he can help his soul be free (assuming the theory about him being canonically dead already is true). This slots in nicely with the secret minigames themed around existing Frights stories we see, too, and gives them more of a purpose beyond just cute little references: they are Jake doing the same thing, learning the tragedies of those whose souls he's here to help. It's not perfect by any stretch, but I kinda really think that works. As for the battery, I'm a lot less sure, but I do have AN idea. You know how in the Fnaf 3 endings, the lights in the masks are used to represent to us whether or not the children's souls are still inside the animatronics? Even though we see it doesn't literally work like that? What if the same thing is happening here, and not seeing the battery anymore- not seeing its glow- is just to represent Andrew's soul having left the Stitchwraith's body? I could see that being done as a clue for when the game takes place on the Frights timeline (yes, I said the Frights timeline, fight me stitchline gamers). Plus, if the sprite outside the window was just Jake- if it was just a regular kid- how on earth would we be able to tell it was Jake specifically? Representing him via a batteryless Stitchwraith was, I think, just a way to make it more obvious, slightly Edit: oh you brushed that away a mere second or 2 later LOL
To be honest, this game's continuity is pretty anomalous in general. The safe room has Garret's plane from the movie, for crying out loud. It's hard to tell what's just a little wink and nudge to the fans apart from what's meant to be some big clue when you have things like that thrown in there. I'm unsure it's meant to fit in directly with anything, if I'm being honest
My interpretation of any book things in this game is that they're similar but different. Just as the game is similar to Into the Pit but has major differences or changes. So,the Stitchwraith or Eleanor may exist in the games in some capacity, but not exactly as they were in the books. In the Count the ways minigame, the Funtime Freddy arm has Bon Bon (which was, importantly, missing in the og story), which seems to prove my point. Millie exists and was likely a victim of Funtime Freddy, but probably because the Funtimes were rented out and it captured her,not because the events of Count the ways literally happened.
@@lourdespachla6516 Very unlikely. It can hardly move with a damaged battery, so I doubt it’d be able to take it off and reattach it. Not to mention, upon re-reading the scene where the battery is first given to the endoskeleton, it’s not just attached and held in place by magnetism or something like that. There’s an actual port on the endoskeleton that the battery slides into. (Third Fazbear Frights book, page 167-168) It’s also worth noting that the Stitchwraith seems to come to life immediately upon receiving its battery, reinforcing the idea that it’s only functional with it attached.
@@Cryonide no, i mean, are we sure the devs decided not to draw it and as in-game excuses the devs made it's creator put it on backwards? like, the devs drew the sprite, and midway decided to change the lore to save time drawing the battery in each sprite?
"Name an more iconic pair than FNAF fans and overthinking GIF" - Some wise man. I sure love this stuff, but at this point I am more tired and irritated rather anything, let's just wait and for now accept this as Easter egg, since Stitchwraitf is a popular character from the books
what if they just forgot to add the battery and it was just supposed to be a easter egg not to be thought about a lot besides showing that the game and the books are one
I don't think the game is meant to be one to one with the book it's a game version of the events so things happened differently it could just be that in the game universe these stories happened but slightly differently like the puppet and Charles having different fates though in the end they play similar parts of a heroic figure
Since when do Esther eggs not matter in the Fnaf plot? people thought that, for example, the phone call from fnaf 1 in fnaf 4 was an ester egg without much meaning, and because of this way of thinking, we were stuck for many years in the belief about Dream Theory or that we played c.c. at night
one thing is that I think this game was never meant to be in the fazbear fright continuity.I think this because even though they are practically the same story there is one key difference oswald never goes back to the past after he saw the kid corpses. He was too scared because of the killer stalking him pretending to be his dad.I really am bad at making theories so somebody please debunk me in the replies I just think Itp game and book are not in the same continuity.
From my understating book and game much different from each other, and honestly I enjoyed game MUCH more since it has artistic value, simple I'd say, but nothing wrong with that, while book made much more trippy and confusing impression, leaving with a dozens of questions. Considering Scott's interview, I think we trapped ourself in overanalyzing labyrinth, while only goal of books was to create a scary and preferable good story
It's coat is covering the battery... because the coat is closed. And in the frame it opens it only opens in the center, the top is still covered... Even if it was a stylistic choice, it wouldn't break continiuety... the games make references to whole franchise, including things outside of the books. Like the movie and previous games which are to be believed "other universes." There is the toy plane from the movie, bonnie bowl, a guy reference. Non of that causes alarm to you? But a missing battery does? You aren't thinking of continuity, you are thinking of "plot holes." This game is very clearly an interpretation of the book, not a direct 1-1 adaptation. You second potential explanation you don't agree with is a separate power source... yes, that coukd very well be the case, a different power source is 100% possible and if it has a different power source then the battery would not be meeded... the possession could be a dofferent part. Besides the battery isn't important to the story of the stitch wraith, the fact it's posted by 2 kids is. You are sofi used on the battery having to be there in order for Andrew to be apart of other wraith... no, the battery isn't what's important. It isn't required for the story to make sense. It was just an explanation to enhance the story. This is a case of over thinking things and focusing so intently on details that don't really matter and misunderstanding the same point you are trying to make. Also the mini game can be accessed before night 5, it's also the same lizziera that this game takes place in... I dont even follow the series as close as a lot of people and I made the connection really quickly. You gotta do your research better man... come on.
It's fine to disagree with my points. But you're a total asshole about it, for some reason. Not sure what your deal is, but keep that energy the hell away from me lmao.
I feel like youre might honestly be overthinking it, maybe its just is an easter egg for the sake of being an easter egg, not having any actual story significance
So we don’t have proof that the kid from the fetch minigame isn’t Andrew, but what’s your proof that they are? The hair color? Better than nothing but that’s not a lot to go on. Also I feel like Andrew getting killed by Fetch instead of William is a much bigger change to his story than Greg getting killed at the end would be to his.
At this point ive checked out on the lore. Its just too much, and not even interesting anymore. Honestly hurts. Fnaf was my childhood and it never got a satisfying ending, juts kept getting dragged out forever.
A lot of people are saying that they probably just "forgot the battery". Two things:
One, I get why people seem to think this.
What item would Oswald have?
Into The Pit's easter eggs as a whole are problematic
The battery could just be hidden by the darkness/cloak that the stitchwraith has.
When a missing battery breaks the lore… FNAF never disappoints!
Regarding the battery, what if in this universe an animatronics energy is stored in the balls?
Don't say that, Scott sees everything
@@CryonideSay that. Scott sees everything /j
Finally. Gameline Games
I'm pretty sure the layout of the minigame with Fetch is the Jeff's pizza location we explore in Into The Pit, the layout is the same
It is
It is. Took me way longer to realize it than I care to admit though 😭
Straight up
It's already been said that a lot of content was removed from the game at Scott's request.
What if Jeff's pizza is Jr's? Thus meaning we did see it in game but never got to see the layout.
@Adventist1997 Jeff's Pizza is 1985 & 1988 (Or, FNaF1) Freddy's. It's the same location.
@@Angermations
Where was that confirmed?
Each major reference to other Frights stories are slightly off.
Stitchwraith: missing the battery, plus the white eye is different from the other official illustration (idk if it says which eye is white in the books?)
To Be Beautiful: Eleanor doesn't give the necklace until the very end, rather than the very beginning
Fetch: Fetch is a classic silver robodog, and Fetch mauls a random kid
Count the Ways: BonBon makes an appearance
If we want to stretch this further, there are obviously lots of things that happen in the Into the Pit game that don't happen in the book, and vice versa.
Rather than FNAF being held up by it’s facts, it’s actually the lack of…
So 2 things:
the battery missing could possiibly be explained as a stylistic choice. having a bright red center piece that draws your attention to it would have made the easter egg a bit too obvious. not this blink and you'll miss it thing. so either leaving it off entirely or covering it up with the cloak would make sense with that mindset if they had that. which is also a thing: what if it is just covered up by the cloak? the sprite is very undefined in what exactly is what, but to me it appears to be angled in such a way that the battery could be hidden completely beneath the cloak.
and the second thing with why would the stitchwraith stalk oswald. well, what if this isn't after the epilouges but rather before? At a point where jake was trying to gather all the andrew-infected items, and was aware that if he got to close to a person andrew (and willy) would zap them. so he doesn't and just waits outside waiting for oswald to leave so he can start looking. as for which item he is after ... i dunno. there are a lot of candidates. the freddy mask from the attic, the fnaf 4 toys, ... maybe he was at the wrong house ... whatever the case, this being earlier than the epillouges makes more sense
though at the end of the day, I am just spitballing things here two seconds after I finished the video.
I also think he'd be much more interested in Oswald's father rather than Oswald himself, considering... you know.
It is very blink and youll miss it tho@Cryonide
You’re just spit**balling**.
I’m sorry the joke was there I had to take it. I’ll go to my shame corner
here is the problem with that fetch kid being andrew, if he is then the entirety of fazbear fights and andrew as vengeful spirit.
I'll have to check again, but I'm fairly sure the battery only glows whenever the Stitchwraith is using its "powers." For example: when Andrew uses his agony powers or when Jake uses his memory powers.
theory aside, i love the your turn to die music in the background
4:27 Wow, they made Fetch happen!
could just be something as simple as the battery is being covered up by the cloak
4:06 It's Jeff's Pizza/Freddy's map from the main game. Golden Freddy is where he is normally located, with the security office through the right door.
And Fetch is then located in the party room (The murder room.....Would you like the murder room or the roach room?)
5:03 Ya I believe Greg is at home when he get's the "C U" message (I believe he is looking at Kimberley's body when the message appears on his phone.)
I don't think he EVER goes back to Freddy's after his original visit when he finds Fetch.
Not to mention the story isn’t five nights long, so details like the battery don’t need to be here, meaning its absence could be as simple as the artist thought the sprite looked cooler without it
School starts up again in Into the Pit (the story) aswell.
The game is a retelling, just stretched out to BE a game.
@@Angermations the first thing the dad says in the book is “Are you excited for the first date if summer vacation, Oswald?”
@@RobinSpellbinder04 The game starts over halfway through the story. That's already happened by the time the game starts.
Maybe it’s Dare, Greg’s uncle and this is when he lost his finger.
Scott didn't even write most of the Frights, so they are non-canon by default, while the FF games will be directed by Scott so they will be rewritten,
that's why, for example, Fetch looks different and kills people
Millie was killed by Funtime Freddie with a bonbon
Eleanor gave Sarah the Necklace at the END of her transformation,
I have nothing to do with Frights here because it is a rebuilt and better story
Looking at the sprite outside of its proper context is not real evidence.
the pick up balloons minigame takes place in the same freddys location the rest of the game takes place in because everything is in the same spots including the same worn down golden freddy suit, the long empty hallway you normally dont see during gameplay (but which is on the map), and the locked room
i feel like they just forgot to add the battery to the sprite
Can't agree. Feel like it's too important to its character.
Or maybe the battery is just located somewhere else on him?
Maybe this is the artist's redesign of the stitch wraith, with the battery part being moved to a different part of their body?
The battery doesn't attach to the Stitchwraith like a magnet on a fridge. There's a slot on its endoskeleton that the battery slots into. It's explained in the third epilogue.
@@Cryonide is that said in the game itself
because otherwise it could still be a redesign
Oh, hey, the Your Turn To Die chair; that's a cool chair.
yes finally you are back i am super hyped up cuz u are definitely one of the most underrated theorist out there
one thing that kind of stands out to me is Oswald's ptsd and the idea of knowing too much. He sees the bullies as the animatronics near the end of the game because of how traumatized he is. Is it possible he's seen the true form of the stitchwraith but... Maybe didn't get a good look at him? He knows what the Endos look like, after all, and if he only saw the stitchwraith's face without knowing who or what the stitchwraith is, perhaps this is just a hallucination, and not actually the stitchwraith?
a fnaf video with yttd ost? immediately subscribed
Visions
"You saw what happened last time" this remind me of fnaf 4 "remember what you saw last time"
I feel like the battery could also just.. have been moved to a different position on the body, or altered to not be glowing to make the easter egg more subtle
is that your turn to die music I hear?😱
I think it doesn't fit in the book continuity, but that it _will_ fit with the interactive book(s).
Yeah exactly possible
Another thing is...
Stitchwraith doesn't exist at this point in the timeline.
This is before Pizzeria Simulator, while the epilogues make it VERY, VERY clear that the Stitchwraith Stingers happen AFTER Pizzeria Simulator. All of them.
But i love this version of Loop Theory. Genuinely 10/10, i think this might be what i go with for now.
That last part would explain the meta hint of "STINGER MOOT" in Prankster
Pretty sure they just didn’t sprite it/forgot about it. With the game having such a heavy focus on Andrew they obviously didn’t forget about him. The Stitchwraith is literally in shadows.
The answer is simple, the coat's top button is buttoned an covering the battery.
I think your first conclusion is literally the correct one. This game simply can not be in continuity with the Fazbear Frights book. Therefore, this is a different stitchwraith, not abiding by anything stated in about him in the books.
is the game mode creepy, frightening, and nightmare be linked to the 3rd theory that eleanor is actually making oswald’s life more agonizing?
wild theory; maybe the cloak is hiding the battery and its' glow????
Option D: the battery isn’t attached to the neck.
We only have the one picture, and it’s described as being the heart, and it needs to be exposed to be shot, but I don’t think it’s ever specified to be hanging around the neck like a bow tie. If it can be moved, after getting shot, moving it might be the smarter option. [some text lists it as being in the chest, not sure if that’s from the stories or was added by someone summarizing]
That said, the face might be the better argument.
Maybe the battery is just somewhere else on the sitchwraith’s body?
Im pretty sure the battery is there they just hid the glow so its not obvious its actually the stitchwraith
Curse this game not coming to console on the 8th and the release date for it not even being known outside of "hoping for later this month."
Dammit Cryonide, I was about to bring up my Golden Freddy theory
@@Cryonide yeah. The dog in the mini game IS the other one but it's also supposed to be fetch. Idk what's up with this
Okay so, commenting this before the video ends (around the 9:00 mark), but I think I have an inkling of what could be happening here- at least, in terms of the Stitchwraith's presence in this game.
Representing him via a batteryless Stitchwraith was, I think, just a way to make it more obvious, slightly
Edit: oh you brushed that away a mere second or 2 later LOL
To be honest, this game's continuity is pretty anomalous in general. The safe room has Garret's plane from the movie, for crying out loud. It's hard to tell what's just a little wink and nudge to the fans apart from what's meant to be some big clue when you have things like that thrown in there. I'm unsure it's meant to fit in directly with anything, if I'm being honest
Yes cryonide returns
You can also see Elenor shadow on the pit
My interpretation of any book things in this game is that they're similar but different. Just as the game is similar to Into the Pit but has major differences or changes. So,the Stitchwraith or Eleanor may exist in the games in some capacity, but not exactly as they were in the books.
In the Count the ways minigame, the Funtime Freddy arm has Bon Bon (which was, importantly, missing in the og story), which seems to prove my point. Millie exists and was likely a victim of Funtime Freddy, but probably because the Funtimes were rented out and it captured her,not because the events of Count the ways literally happened.
are we sure lorewise they didn't just move the battery to the back or something just for the game devs to save time?
@@lourdespachla6516 Very unlikely. It can hardly move with a damaged battery, so I doubt it’d be able to take it off and reattach it.
Not to mention, upon re-reading the scene where the battery is first given to the endoskeleton, it’s not just attached and held in place by magnetism or something like that. There’s an actual port on the endoskeleton that the battery slides into. (Third Fazbear Frights book, page 167-168)
It’s also worth noting that the Stitchwraith seems to come to life immediately upon receiving its battery, reinforcing the idea that it’s only functional with it attached.
@@Cryonide no, i mean, are we sure the devs decided not to draw it and as in-game excuses the devs made it's creator put it on backwards? like, the devs drew the sprite, and midway decided to change the lore to save time drawing the battery in each sprite?

I sure love this stuff, but at this point I am more tired and irritated rather anything, let's just wait and for now accept this as Easter egg, since Stitchwraitf is a popular character from the books
what if they just forgot to add the battery and it was just supposed to be a easter egg not to be thought about a lot besides showing that the game and the books are one
I don't think the game is meant to be one to one with the book it's a game version of the events so things happened differently it could just be that in the game universe these stories happened but slightly differently like the puppet and Charles having different fates though in the end they play similar parts of a heroic figure

maybe its a 8 bit sprite which lack details

one thing is that I think this game was never meant to be in the fazbear fright continuity.I think this because even though they are practically the same story there is one key difference oswald never goes back to the past after he saw the kid corpses.
@@Mekap_Oble I do like the game more I also think overanalyzing is getting to people

The stitchwraith in the game kinda looks like moon
I think he looks more like Nightmarionne.
I feel like youre might honestly be overthinking it, maybe its just is an easter egg for the sake of being an easter egg, not having any actual story significance
It’s an Easter egg, likely not canon. You’re looking too deep into an Easter egg
Maybe the battery is just hidden behind the cloak. I think the artwork of the Stitchwraith kinda sucks so I much prefer the sprite
he possesses golden freddy
I accidentally had it on .5
;v;
Does the battery have that design in the novel or is that design an invention of the graphic novel?
Meaning the battery could be inside the endo?
In the third Stitchwraith Stinger, we watch Dr. Taggart attach the battery to the Stitchwraith's body. It's definitely meant to be on the outside.
The stitchwraith doesnt appear in the graphic novels
@@isabelortiz1230 This changes nothing, the third Stitchwraith Stinger still tells us exactly what Taggart does.
@@Cryonide yeah, just wanted to clarify that
this video is underrated
YTTD BASED LETS GOOO
Or it’s been moved, for a redesign

At this point ive checked out on the lore. Its just too much, and not even interesting anymore. Honestly hurts. Fnaf was my childhood and it never got a satisfying ending, juts kept getting dragged out forever.
