Another connection between Mike and OMC (more specifically lakes) might be the Fazbear Frights story Step Closer. A jerk older brother who is associated with Foxy goes fishing at a lake with his dad. He also almost loses his eye to a fishing hook as a “consequence” for bullying his brother and disturbing Foxy. Some more potential evidence!
good observation, noticed that too. There is also another place where a lake is mentioned .In the actual translation of "the bear of vengeance " from ultimate customnights foxy who represents mike and freddy who represents c.c both mention a favorite pond in their dialogues
"You are won." is DEFINITELY a double entendre for 'You are one' before saying 'and YOU remain'. It feels like if the Princess is actually Golden Freddy, OMC might be saying how only one spirit remains in that body. (After the fire or Happiest Day? My mental timeline is borked.)
Man I'm loving the take on these lines. For me, I kind of see it as a potential mocking, but inevitable message ..."You are won" ( like by a prescence, or thing, or concept "owning you", and fighting over a type of 'prize)'. It's almost like there's something more behind the scenes, hinting at what is to come or currently occuring alongside the developing story/narrative. Like a fight has occured, yet you still are there, alive and aware (Player iin Princess Quest?), waiting for your next movement and action, almost as if to start a domino reaction, to "change the past" by understanding it and forming long lasting lessons, that allow horrors to co-exist as we find steps to help those and ourselves around us. By first, trudging through the depths and amalgamates that bind us together in the 'sinking crab bucket' that can be life.
"You are one." may bear even more meaning though if it's being staid to Vanessa/Vanny as the princess rather than Golden Freddy/Cassidy. This could be hinting to Vanessa and Vanny becoming merged into one, rather than Vanny just being defeated as was generally assumed after the SB Princess Quest ending. That would also make the most sense given where and when the line is said, since the old man says it at the start of PQ4, which would naturally be a progression from the ending of PQ3, and since PQ4 ends with Vanny crushing Glitchtrap, another thematic continuation from PQ3. With the assertion of "You are won won(one)" in the place it's said, Steel Wool is essentially saying "Don't get it twisted, just because Vanny is in the ending of this game doesn't mean it's going to be the same Vanny pre-PQ ending, this is Vanny and Venessa as one whole now."
One thing I always believed with Old Man Consequences is that entering the lake is basically moving on. He says you can't go back once you go too deep because there's no back, you can choose to stay and rest forever or you can move on to the next world which is the afterlife. In FNAF world the drowned ending ends the game properly because you can move on while it crashes the game in ultimate custom night because the vengeful spirit refuses to move on from Afton.
Or it could refer to 'Drowning in Anger', and suggests that the Vengeful Spirit will Never stop Tormenting William, and has lost themselves to their own Anger - Ending the Game as you no longer have Control...
My interpretation was this. OMC is holding the fishing hook that's keeping afton in hell, OMC fishes Golden Freddy AKA (The one he should not have killed)Out of hell Briefly to give the advice of moving on, Golden Freddy refuses and when it enters the lake its returning back to hell to torture William
Interestingly enough, that would make the Foxy vs Freddy anime clips in UCN make sense as well. Vengeful child & Mike fighting over what to do with William Edit/ 1k? Holy cow! That's cool
HOLY SHIT yeah that does make sense, vengeful spirit wanting Mike to stay out of their way but being unable to It would also make sense bc the characterization of Foxy in the cutscene is to give Freddy a punishment for each attempt. Giving Freddy consequences for his actions
@@theghostcreator776 AND there's intentional mistranslations in those sequences too... don't know if it means something but that would be another connection to OMC, or at least to PQ4 "Old Man"
The "Mike Consequences" pun is interesting, because I believe I discovered a similar instance. (I don't know if this has been brought somewhere else.) We have all thought that Emily is a weird last name, but I believe it is for a pun. Charlotte Emily, goes by Charlie in the books. Charlie can be short for Charlotte or Charles. Another nickname for Charles is Chuck. Charlie Emily -> Chuck E. ... Cheese. Edit: Just realized, the 3 Emily family members are Charlotte Emily (C. E.), Sammy Emily, (S. E.), and Henry Emily (H. E.). Their initials have the letters to spell C. H. E. E. S. E.
Given that all the various version of Freddy's corporate parent and restaurants mirror the early history of Chuck E Cheese, this is very probable. @zacks.5991 you better email this idea into the podcast.
I’ve been headcanoning that Mike was OMC for about 3 years now. I never really expected for there to be actual evidence for it. What a crazy coincidence fyxfjtddghjvddgh
I'm honestly shocked we haven't picked up on this sooner. Why were NONE of us questioning the red crocodile could just be... a fox lol. Way to go you for headcanon. You were ahead of the game.
@ShesNervous FR! The main reason I headcanoned it was because of the way I characterize Mike when I write him and it would give him an interesting relationship with the Venguful Spirit (no matter who it is aijsjsksksmdkdj) looking back, even the way the jaws look matches up with the foxy sprite, with a large upper jaw and shorter lower jaw (I’m pretty sure the actual model for foxy is the opposite, if only slightly, which is honestly kinda funny to me)
@themilkman7921 I’m not bragging…? I’m sorry if my comment made it seem that way. I struggle reading tone over text, and I know it’s not just me. I was merely stating: “Hey, I’ve had this silly idea in my head for years. I’m surprised it actually has something going for it.” Believing something ‘just because’ is the entire point of headcanons. They’re just a silly little ideas that sticks with you. You know they’re not real, but it’s fun to imagine! Hope you have a good day! :D
I like the idea that is Mike in the Old Man Consequences. It would make sense because everyone can hear William Afton in the Minigame screaming for Mike to help him, giving us that hint in UCN, the whole time. And the story about Mike from the Fazbear's Fright trilogy talking a boy going fishing, chewing gum, has a little brother that is told to stay away from Foxy and other Animatronics.
Also name would make sense in that regard too. Old Man Consequences. Like, consequences of what? Player going too deep into the code? And this character that was clearly not born from the program, just decided to stay in the area nosy players end up in to poke fun of them? Yeah, sure. But in Old Mike case that "consequences" part makes perfect sense - him being there is the consequence of his actions as a kid bully. His entire existence is the direct consequence of his actions. Therefore it makes sense to call his older self that - "I am an Old Man made by Consequences of my younger self actions"
I thought this was a good episode!! It made me think of those pictures Mike drew in the survival logbook. Where he wants a speed boat and water skis. Also it's funny if OMC is Mike, because OMC also means original main character. Mike used to be main character
I kinda just think that Old Man Consequences… is just Old Man Consequences. If Nighmare/Nightmarionne is the giver of death, and the Puppet is the giver of life, then I think that Old Man Consequences is the “Giver” of Purgatory.
But in that example, Charlie would be the giver of life, aka a person in the story of FNAF, as opposed to a being simply made for giving life like you’re suggesting OMC is
If we assume jrs is where the sink hole that became the FNAF6 location is.. then the Mega Pizzaplex would be built on top.. being that it's the same location from midnight motorist we know that's a large open area of land next to what seems to be a busy major highway so that would make sense to build the Pizza Plex there.
HOLY SH***********T I AM SO HONORED ! Loved the Mikes face overlay *chefs kiss You did a great job! You the first fnaf creator to have me doing double takes on the series multiple red lakes
When the idea of Micheal being him was brought up I started tearing up from the idea of the angel figure being Micheal & his two little siblings as him being OMC is his attempt to keep helping & protecting them like he wished he did in life.
In the fnaf book step closer the Main character may be a Mike parallel, and in the story he goes fishing with his dad, so that could support the Mike=omc theory.
Great theory Rye. You are one of my favorite FNaF content creators but there is just one aspect of this video that I cannot overlook: You should get one of those cat brushes that have like a button to push the back end of the brush closer to the "teeth", so it accumulates less fur. It seems like a pain to remove all that fur from the brush you were using.
@@ryanspratt4161my cat disliked your reply for some reason like he pressed his nose on your comment and then pressed his nose on the dislike button of your reply I don’t think my cat agrees or just has a grudge against you
@RyeToast Listening to your theory, could it also be possible that Midnight Motorist is part of Ultimate Custom Night? What if the Orange man is meant to be Henry, and He's just driving home every night from watching over the Ultimate Custom Night Pizzeria. A proper punishment for the one who only watched and waited.
It always bothered me that nearly everyone assumed OMC was Henry. Like the evidence is so lukewarm but it made the most sense thematically. This evidence however is pretty solid!
Really depends on when you think FnaF 3 and Pizza Sim take place. I personally subscribe to the theory that FnaF 3 is in 2015, so assuming Mike is at the youngest 13 or 14 in FnaF 4 minigames that would have him born somewhere between 1969 (nice) or 1970, which would make him ~18 in 1987 and ~46 in FnaF3. And if 2015 is true then it means that the earlier dates for Security Breach (such as 2029) are entirely viable, meaning that if Cassie's dad is indeed the Bonnie bully, and the Bonnie bully is the same age as Mike, then Cassie would need to be born in 2017 at the earliest, meaning that her dad would only have had to be 48 when she was born, which isn't all that weird
Mike as OMC make so much sense, it's the perfect end to his character arc: from an angry teen whose rash actions led to tragedy and pain, to a judge-like figure who warns others not to continue in violence. Also Michael enjoying binging TV and fishing is so funny, he's such a dad.
@@RyeToast I just finished the video, and I gotta say, I loved it! Especially the Michael being OMC, that's pretty wholesome. Can't wait for you next theory!!
This is an incredible theory! These are the kind of new ideas and perspective we need, and this would be an amazing way for Mikes influence to remain in the series without lazily saying “guys guess what he didn’t actually die in the FNAF 6 fire!”
personally i don't think it's anyone. these are good points, i like how connected everything is visually, but i think he's a representation. not any real person speaking through old man consequences, but just a character to say it's the end of the road. FNaF World was supposed to be the last game, tying the lore with the key to the FNaF 3 mini games and a final game for Scott to leave. Old Man Consequences was there to say, "This is it. No more FNaF." It isn't until you (the player/fredbear) drowns in a lake and falls forever in void and obscurity, and once you stop touching the keyboard, that it dies. And you see scott with his children, bonding in front of the TV. Same for UCN in my eyes. He's a character telling whoever fredbear is (whether it be Cassidy or FNaF) that it's the end. You die and it crashes. Finally the end of FNaF for Scott. That's my headcannon but i do really like the idea of it being Mike talking to Cassidy, all theories are valid tbh
Same, I get that this series is all about connections between characters and all of that but it's very clear OMC whole lake is meant to be the end for whether it be spirits or as you said the franchise as a whole. The reason it IS the lake could be because of the people FNaF World and UCN are based around, aka cc and William Afton hence forth he show's up at the lake naer their house.
The idea that mike is the vengeful spirit lines up with the idea that ucn is based off of mike's memories while at the locations as the security guard. who else would fend off the monsters like he does? of course he would want william to experience the things he experienced! He could also be omc, just as another part of himself. a part that wants to let go and move on to the afterlife. i also headcanon that mike is the kid from sit and survive, but that's neither here nor there.
This theory goes so hard on the first watch (coupled with the comment section too) man. I'm DIGGING THIS. Its like those railroad connectors as kid we got (Thomas the Tank engine tracks), feeling I get with this theory. Vert satisfying. Keep up the great work!
there is a theory proposed by Dual process theory that mike is the vengeful spirit, and at first it didn't make sense to me with what was said in this video, but afer some thinking it makes perfect sense. Vengeful spirit and William are the only two people in UCN, if mike is vengeful spirit then it makes sense that OMC is just his concience or something like that telling him to stop. In this way, OMC is not a seperate entity from vengeful spirit and William, instead its the part of Mike that understands that there is no use to endless anger. It's his moment of self reflection.
Another connection to Michael is I think in the drowning ending the 3 figures at the end that seem to be cuddling and/or watching something are Michael, C.C, and Elizabeth, Michael being the taller one in the middle and it's pretty safe to say c.c and Elizabeth are the same hight so they're on either side of him.
"I need to record this video but this cat demands a brushing" is such a mood. Every time I try and get some work done at my computer one of my cats inevitably flops down on my mouse or keyboard.
Personally been thinking fnaf world shouldn't be ignored. Its not canon, but the ideas inside it are clearly ones that Scot was contemplating. I can absolutely see them using the glitching up and down as a very interesting explanation for what is happening in the newest saga. I find it odd that the Pizza Plex was shown being built INSIDE a game that fully acknowledged it was a game. If Cassy was trapped layers below in the AR, her father going in after her makes sense or vice versa. Glitching down into the game within a game within a game. The books suggest this is something on their minds, waking up from the VR world only to find out you never actually left. Im excited to see if they are headed this direction. I think it would be neat to see FNAF World be the key to the new era. Regardless, I'm along for the ride.
This combined with Dual Process's theory makes so much more sense. Cassidy was always the vengeful spirit, just not in the way people perceived it. He wasn't just some random victim. He was Cassidy Afton. William's son. The son he forced into the very thing that he was afraid of, but the very thing that put him in the coma. William stuffed him in Fredbear and let him get spring locked. Which is what killed him. That sounds like a solid vengeful spirit to me. "Why?! Why have you done this to me?! You're my father! Why would you do this to me?!" (My personal context of how that would appear) It explains why Cassidy kept Afton alive in the Spring Bonny suit. "You put me in that thing and forced me to become what I am. Now it's my turn to do the same to you!" After all, when a person is in a coma, they can still hear things in the physical world. Cassidy was aware of EVERYTHING. This also neatly explains the Old Man Consequences scene. If that is Michal showing up as Foxy then he's saying "I've found you! Finally! I've found you! Sit by the lake for awhile. Stay with me. Let our father be tormented by the hell he created. You and I can stay here forever." This also explains the scene in the movie where Golden Freddy tells Michael that he can stay in the dream forever with his brother and family. Stuff is starting to make more sense now!
if Glamrock Freddy is Mike theory is true, that also mean Mike's soul have to stay present. And, well, if OMC-Mike isn't gonna "move on" from the lake to another life, he is still gonna stay "here for a while", that give him opportunity to do just that.
I think its so interesting looking back on "that night" in FLAF. how important color is in this franchise, and that JR's sign is Old Man Consequences neon red. I wonder if he isnt a character, but rather the first instance of agony enacted by Afton. If he was born of his first kill, it makes sense that he would have something to do with that night, that Jr's sign, and then his demise.
Wow I love the way you write your theory videos, I feel like I put the pieces together with you and it's really clear which points you're trying to make, I find even the og boy matpat struggles to walk me through it in the same way. No hate to him just a comparison, I think the chill vibes help me digest the information better aswell, also the way Marq was looking at you while you were brushing him 😭
This is all really compelling, but i have to ask: If micheal is omc, then why is he in fnaf world? I suppose it depends on when that would take place. It would have to take place shortly before the happiest day minigame, which is probably after pizzeria sim, so i could buy mike having become omc by then. Although, if fnaf world doesn't take place at that point and instead is earlier in the timeline, i dont see how that could be him. Maybe it could be some kind of buried memory michael deep underneath everything else in cc's weird spirit memory realm, but if thats the case i feel like thats not how it would act. Personally, I'm leaning towards the PS->FNAF World->Happiest Day. Still food for thought though. But i figure this theory is pretty sound all and all
Possibilities I think. 1. Old man consequences is the fnaf universe equivalent of Satan/the devil or the grim reaper, or he’s some kind of ancient entity. 2. Old man consequences is a creation of Henry Emily to help any spirits move on or find peace that are connected to fnaf world and ultimate custom night. 3. Old man consequences is some kind of is some kind of guide for the living, the dead and digital. 4. Old man consequences was someone who Cassidy was familiar with in life at some point. 5. Old man consequences was someone perhaps William or Henry knew. 6. The red king is inspired by old man consequences. 7. The red king is Henry inside princess quest.
@Schnirt simple, the 4th layer could be Hell, since FNaF World is a "Sanctuary",The ending UCN can be Cassidy leaving UCN (Hell) to finally rest and leave William with his demons and Eternal Suffering, and also, using Scott's old christian videos, we can see that he made the devil being an Old Man with Red clothes, looking like the Old man from Princess Quest, therefore, being Old Man Consequences.
I believe michael is old man consequence because he lets his brother rest going in the lake the image of three people is elizabeth michael and cc michael also tries to get the vengful spirit to rest but the game crashes meaning either it worked or omc was shut out
I found it questionable at first, but I was convinced by the end. Theories tend to be more believable when all games are tied into it instead of just Security Breach/Ruin.
Something about his sprite unnerves me. It taps into some weird, early childhood anxiety I would get from playing the Atari game, Frostbite. Great character. I love him.
Kinda circumstantial, but wasn't there a scene in the movie where Mike sits someone down next to a body of water, and they have a big long chat about sleep? Pretty sure it was when Mike explains to Vanessa what happened to Garrett and why he takes those sleeping pills.
I've actually thought that OMC was supposed to be Mike for years, I'm surprised to hear that Henry was believed to be it for a long time. I thought it just made sense from what OMC says to the Vengeful Spirit in UCN that he is Michael trying to convince the spirit to let everything rest. He's the one that's actually experienced the emotion the spirits give off and is familiar with a long-winded quest for revenge on William Afton. It took Henry's speech in FNAF6 to let Michael realize that his journey was over, and when he sees it trying to be prolonged he steps in like he always has to do the right thing, even for someone as evil as William.
this is a very compelling theory but one thing that always stood out to me is that during the UCN easter egg, william is calling out to specifically Henry and Mike in the scene where the only other two present are OMC and the vengeful spirit. i feel like they easily could have just had william screaming in agony, vaguely screaming for help, or even showing regret as he is facing his deserved torment, but they specifically chose to make him scream to mike and henry. IMO, i could easily see mike being the one behind UCN, leaving Henry as OMC. It's only one piece of evidence i know, but it always felt important to me at least
That's a fair point. My only counter would be that from William's perspective, Henry and Michael started the fire. So he's screaming out to the two people who did this
This is even further supported by the presence of the Midnight Motor car in Five Laps at Freddys being purple, with a springbonnie antenna bobber, and the flavor text being "the perfect getaway vehicke for a murderous night"
The fact that the lake envolves a huge mistery even in new games is so exciting. The drowning ending in fnaf world (with that final photo that no one knows what it is), the fallfest and fnaf 4 house near that lake, fredbear coming from it... For me, it seems that there is a huge mistery envolving that lake that may be solved with a fallfest game, it makes so much sense now. I wish they bring us the final piece of lore. Fun fact: In ruin's cave, the water on the ground is red coloured, I think it is on purpose, wdyt?
It would also be tragic but good if you consider the idea that fnaf world is rescuing the crying childs soul - michael is there too, to protect his brothers soul when he strays too far. Its not evidence but its still quite thematic
16:25 theres also the foxy pirate ship easteregg (shown in this clip) which could tie the take to foxy & therefore michle (or jsut be an easter egg, just saying)
Considering Michael had been conversing with the vengeful spirit in the security logbook prior to UCN, it makes sense they have a connection after FNAF6.
@TheAMVDorf even that fact can be disproven by the fact we get the combination from the cc, or the altered text ghost while who we assume is the vengeful spirit is the one who asked the question that lead us to get said combination.
building on this: the shot that people commonly interpret as mike, dave, and elizabeth watching TV together happens when cassidy drowns themselves. what if this is actually how they get released from their purgatory? the puppet's dialogue implies that all the spirits are trapped in cassidy's hell and not just william, so it's possible old man consequences is mike, just fishing until something happens assuming fnaf world takes place alongside it, maybe cassidy refuses to end the torment until the crying child is put back together and ready to move on with everybody else?
I kinda love it even if it breaks my brain because it's more fitting for Mike than Henry. I ever liked him being left out after his dead in Pizza Sim. Cassidy comes back, puppet comes back, William comes back, and it's possible even the crying child comes back... Why should Mike be left out? He was the protagonist! And him going from troubled child to tormented adult to wise old figure trying to guide the younger ones away from revenge... it's really nice. I'm glad he's resting by his lake, enjoying the fishing.
Even if the dirt mound isn’t the crying child’s unmarked grave, it could be related to Fallfest. Perhaps the ‘wound first inflicted on me’ wasn’t Charlie after all, but the absent Mrs Emily [or Mrs Afton]. Not only killed in the fire, but had her death covered up. Perhaps William convinced Henry that the death was an accident, and that it’s better if no one looks into it, for the sake of their new business and their children. I keep going back to the whole ‘the baby isn’t mine’ thing, and thinking there was maybe some kind of love triangle going on where William suspected or knew there was some affection between Henry and “Bellora”, where even though he married her, he secretly suspected that Micheal wasn’t his, feeding his resentment of both Henry and Mike. This would all have to be retroactive stuff built in to the whole fallfest story, which seems to be part of the Steel Wool ‘next generation’ era, so was probably not the intent at the time of fnaf6.
16:21 I feel like with this Dreadbear and crying child are tied, Dreadbear obviously tying to Fredbear, and the Spooky Mansion minigame where you have to work on Dreadbear’s brain, tying back into the part where Crying Child’s brain was damaged in the Bite of 83’. The theory of William experimenting on Crying Child with remnant is also a parallel to working on Dreadbear’s brain.
Makes me think of my counter theory to the new "Michael Afton is the Vengeful Spirit" theory, which is that, if we want to pursue the idea that the Crying Child is Cassidy, what if CC is also the vengeful spirit and the vengeance is less about being killed by William and more about taking revenge for the fact that William Afton got Michael killed (changing the meaning of "the one you should not have killed,") as CC and Michael reconciled through the log book. This would then explain why Old Man Consequences is so set on getting the vengeful spirit to let go of that hate and anger and just let their father go. If you throw in the possibility of CC and Gregory being connected somehow, this would further explain why Michael would attach himself to Freddy since his biggest goal is helping his brother to finally move on.
Love this theory. It would be thematically satisfying as well if it was Mike telling his brother "hey bro its done... tine to rest". Not to mention mike telling CC to just rest is a direct counterstatement to william saying ill put you back together. So if OMC is mike, i think it would fit in a very satisfying conclusion. "Were done CC lets go fishing" is also kinda adorable in a way where they both together accept that it is over and lets just enjoy the somber rest. Aka "gone fishin"
i am going to be real honest. i havent really kept up with fnaf lore except for a few matpat videos so this video is near incomprehensible to me, but you have a really captivating speaking voice and the pace of the video is phenomenal. I logged on to my computer just to comment on it. Also your cat is very cute
You could have also mentioned that it being foxy explains why he is red and not green like a crocodile would be, or any other color it could have been.
Anyone else ever sit down and think about how Scott doesn't really even know the full story and when someone just creates a new theory that he finds interesting enough he tries to ride with it a bit.
I sent an email to RyeToast (in case you see my email on the podcast haha), but because of this theory I believe Henry is the Vengeful Spirit. In OMC's scene, you see a familiar Fredbear sprite, one that is used to put the pieces for Happiest Day in place in FNAF World. That same sprite speaks to OMC, appears in Henry's cutscene when they introduce Baby, and is considerably older in style. The rudimentary design makes me think it's supposed to represent someone older, or has been there since the beginning. Henry has more reason than the children to haunt Afton, he potentially caused Henry to be sent to jail for the missing children incident after hurting Charlie. That's slightly longer for hatred to fester in the living than a one-and-done child 'unalive'. In OMC's area, you hear Afton calling out to both Michael and Henry, and we know spirits can "sense" each other, at least in the books, so this makes me think those are the named characters we see on screen. OMC makes it sound like the Fredbear sprite is the one perpetrating the pain Afton is experiencing, telling him to "leave the demon to his demons", which uses very similar Hell-like language that Henry did in his speech. More importantly, it implies the "Devil" (Henry) has power over the "Demon" (Afton), and the Devil refuses to stop. If Michael is Old Man Consequences, that must mean the low-bit Fredbear sprite is Henry. Henry set up the happiest day, and he set up the fire that would gather all the spirits together. Michael did the sit-in-place dangerous job, Henry was in the background setting it all up. A lifetime of anger and agony, from prison or from outliving your own child due to someone you trusted sounds like a much stronger reason to keep someone in hell forever. It's clear something is keeping Afton in place, though in Henry's speech you hear "don't keep the devil waiting, old friend." That sounds highly personal, and if you learned there was no devil keeping him, why not become the devil you want him to experience. If it was my own child, they would be "the one you should not have killed" and I would absolutely exact as much revenge as I could on the man who hurt my baby. ***TW for Suicide.*** I think the drowning imagery isn't for the "One you should not have killed". I don't think it's that Afton went too far as we've speculated; I think once Pizzeria Simulator concluded, Henry drowned himself in his last act. We don't see someone forcing another into the water, in the events of water being used to hurt someone, it is one person acting deliberately. You as Fredbear have to walk and push yourself into OMC's pond in order to get to the next part in UCN and FNAF World, and it clearly takes some work. Whether that's survival instincts pushing you back, or the implication of going through with it yourself, I think it's pretty clear going into the pond is something we must CHOOSE to do. I also think it might be Henry because of who speaks to us in "the one you should not have killed"s voice. We only hear TOYSNHK's voice through the Mediocre Melodies, very specifically Henry's creations. Henry might be speaking on behalf of TOYSNHK, even disguising himself to make sure that's the one Afton is thinking of. And it clearly works, we see a faded face of a human child, and I interpret the image as being in Afton's mind's eye. It's faint, but it's familiar every time it shows up. A child, smiling, as though something won't let us forget their face. It also wraps up my issue with Henry just disappearing in Ultimate Custom Night, since he's been there - even in the background - for a while. Anyway, that's who I think is going after Afton in UCN, and my evidence, thank you and goodnight.
First of all, I LOVE how you engage with the Community and build up not just Theorists at home but Theorists in general. When TH-camrs build each other up and prominent people in Fandoms do so too, it is so much better! It's more fun and it allows for more Nuance to be put in without a big explosion of nonsense first. Well, the nonsense persists but it stays contained to a few bad apples that can be ignored for the majority of the time. Thanks for that. Now, as for the video, I've always thought that OMC was Henry because what he wanted more than anything was for everyone William hurt to rest peacefully and to have the Afterlife that they deserve. William already ruined their Lives. He shouldn't get to ruin their Afterlife, too. Once he realized that Cassidy was doing UCN, at first, he was totally down for it because the more pain, the better for William Afton plus UCN is the sort of justice that everyone he killed and their loved ones deserved. HOWEVER, after a while, he realized that Cassidy was blinded by revenge and spite, delaying William's descent to The Darkest Pits of Hell (UCN is Purgatory in my eyes) and more importantly, adding to Cassidy's pain and ruining her Afterlife. Him manifesting as OMC is his way of saying: "STOP. THIS S.O.B DOESN'T DESERVE ANYMORE OF YOUR ENERGY. YOU DESERVE BETTER. LET GO AND I PROMISE THAT THE DEVIL WILL BE ABLE TO DO WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND MORE. YOU CAN BE WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND WATCH. YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THIS." Henry just wants not just Charlie but everyone to be Free. UCN is giving William another victory, even as he's ripped to shreds. Today's video has given me a new Theory to roll with because with a couple of details changed, the essay I just typed applies to Mike, too. He wants to atone for what he did to his little brother (Evan, to me...) and make sure that William Afton gets everything he deserves without harming anymore people. So, yeah, you and other Theorists have given me a new perspective. Either Henry or Michael can be OMC. It's cool. I'm happy with that.
I was thinking about this theory and I realized something that perhaps you already had in mind, but I just realized it. In one of the stories in the books, William, who now was a part of the agony monster that was made of cables and animatronic parts in a mountain of scrap metal, was thrown into a lake where he got trapped, perhaps that lake is the one in old Man Consequences and Mike's spirit is in charge of watching him, in case he escapes
Something I don't really get is why people assume Henry and William were the same age? (12:17, proposing Michael is likely a lot younger than Henry) Couldn't it be entirely possible Henry was younger? Like Charlotte (and possibly Sammy if we want to go there) was his first child, vs William who already had his third. Michael in 1983 (FNAF 4) is generally accepted to be 14 minimum 18 maximum; what if Henry was only a few years older? He could be 21, fresh out of college and with a new family, knowledgeable on newer technology and adventurous with his own. Henry has just always given me "young entrepreneur" vibes. It's a miniscule detail, but I've just always wondered about it.
I love hearing all these fan theories. I also stumbled upon a fan theory on a wiki (can’t remember which one) that suggested that Michael also had an older brother who wore a foxy mask a lot. I don’t know much about that one. It did come to mind a few times now as you were talking. Regardless. It fits. Michael. Even if there is no older brother- Michael is encouraging the vengeful spirit to calm down. That William has been beat. I am convinced that Michael is the one from fnaf 4 that escaped through the window during the secret of the midnight motorist. We know the crying child is Evan from fnaf 4 his little brother (and is sharing golden Freddy with Cassidy who is the vengeful spirit). Like how the stitchedwraith is 2 spirits mirrored to golden Freddy. It would make sense that Michael would see his little brother and would want to be there with him.
I've thought Michael was Old Man Consequences for a while now, because the games never say anything about Henry dying. OMC would have to be a spirit to talk to Cassidy. I always thought it made perfect sense the series' main character to be the one to tell Cassidy to leave William alone, after he was the one to finish the story. I also like the idea that Henry is the last person to survive at the end.
It's interesting that the two gators we see, Old Man Concequences and Monty, happen to be complimentary colors. I wonder if that means anything. Complimentary colors can often suggest two sides of the same coin or two opposing forces. Imo the yellow fellow in the midnight motorist game represents Afton before going down the route he did, so maybe there's a connection here too where OMC is an opposite connection to Monty?
I like this theory a lot tbh, fits very well ! I don't know where to post them but I've had 2 ideas / mini theories in mind for a long time so I'll post them here real quick. 1 : Chica's body type. While watching NotRealName's video on Chica, she mentions the fact that Chica swapped body type multiple time during the series, which is true of course. But I truly think there is something a bit deeper there. There are 2 sets of animatronics that we know the creator of. The Funtime (William) and the Rockstar (Henry). What I find interesting is that in those 2 sets of animatronics, Chica has a different body time, funtime is "sexy Chica", Rockstar is "bigger birb", a closer and exaggerated Chica from Fnaf 1. From what I saw in multiple timelines, Henry is believed to be the main creator of the band from Fnaf 1, giving us one more Big Birb as his Chica. In DualProcess Theory's timeline, if I recall correctly (and I don't know if most people agree on that) but William seems to be in charge at the time of Fnaf 2 ? If so, his Toy Chica would once again be a lean Chica. All of that just to mention that GLAMROCK Chica is a lean Chica. This may mean nothing, as in "She is like that because she's more attractive and will sell more", but it could also be a nod to the fact that the one in charge of Fazbear or creating the animatronics is close to William / Shares Williams view etc. 2 : The box. I do not know what is in the box, it is much less a theory than a remark, but what I find interesting is that, in the screen with the box, the sentence "Perhaps some things are best left forgotten, for now." has never been attributed to any character that I know of. Many seem to assume that this is Scott litteraly talking to us. But why ? He never did talk directly to us in any game before or after that. IMO this sentence is pronounced by a character, reflecting on the box and its content and, even though the box is probably not relevant anymore, solving which character is saying that sentence could solve the content in turn. Hope what I said is somewhat true, in this series, it's quite impossible to land on the truth anyways
I had the idea of Mike being OMC after watching MatPat react to Dual Process Theory's video, tho I was like "nah, someone with more experience in lore would probably find something that negates that..." Although I wasn't the one who sent the e-mail, and I never said anything about it to anyone, I feel cool about having the thought of it on my own. Plus, it's cool to see that people got the same thought at some point
Oh my gosh, this is an amazing peice of evidence!
I LOVE THIS OMG
Now this is good rationale!
SAME THOUGHTS
good observation, noticed that too. There is also another place where a lake is mentioned .In the actual translation of "the bear of vengeance " from ultimate customnights foxy who represents mike and freddy who represents c.c both mention a favorite pond in their dialogues
So old man consequences isn't a Crocodile but Mike as Foxy wearing a fishing hat. Epic.

Maybe you’re on to something
"You are won" means "You have won" PQ3.
OMC is holding the fishing hook that's keeping afton in hell, OMC fishes Golden Freddy AKA (The one he should not have killed)Out of hell Briefly to give the advice of moving on, Golden Freddy refuses
and when it enters the lake its returning back to hell to torture William
Interestingly enough, that would make the Foxy vs Freddy anime clips in UCN make sense as well.
Vengeful child & Mike fighting over what to do with William
Edit/ 1k? Holy cow! That's cool
HOLY SHIT yeah that does make sense, vengeful spirit wanting Mike to stay out of their way but being unable to
It would also make sense bc the characterization of Foxy in the cutscene is to give Freddy a punishment for each attempt. Giving Freddy consequences for his actions
@@theghostcreator776 AND there's intentional mistranslations in those sequences too... don't know if it means something but that would be another connection to OMC, or at least to PQ4 "Old Man"

These couple comments have really clicked in my brain :O
your telling me that those may be cannon which might the breaking toy chica ones cannon? dear lord
Mike could also be wearing the foxy mask since he knows that the spirits associate his face with William.
that theory is compeltely debunked
The "Mike Consequences" pun is interesting, because I believe I discovered a similar instance. (I don't know if this has been brought somewhere else.) We have all thought that Emily is a weird last name, but I believe it is for a pun. Charlotte Emily, goes by Charlie in the books. Charlie can be short for Charlotte or Charles. Another nickname for Charles is Chuck.
Charlie Emily -> Chuck E. ... Cheese.
Edit: Just realized, the 3 Emily family members are Charlotte Emily (C. E.), Sammy Emily, (S. E.), and Henry Emily (H. E.). Their initials have the letters to spell C. H. E. E. S. E.
That’s so cool
Given that all the various version of Freddy's corporate parent and restaurants mirror the early history of Chuck E Cheese, this is very probable. @zacks.5991 you better email this idea into the podcast.
That’s hilarious
MIND BLOWN!
That's awesome, literally how has that not been noticed for years? 😂
The main reason I headcanoned it was because of the way I characterize Mike when I write him and it would give him an interesting relationship with the Venguful Spirit (no matter who it is aijsjsksksmdkdj) looking back, even the way the jaws look matches up with the foxy sprite, with a large upper jaw and shorter lower jaw (I’m pretty sure the actual model for foxy is the opposite, if only slightly, which is honestly kinda funny to me)
Believing something “just cause” or without evidence is not something to brag about
@themilkman7921 I’m not bragging…?

Not to mention the mushroom cave lake appears RED, similar to how the lake is coloured in FW/UCN
Do you know the background music in this video?
Also name would make sense in that regard too. Old Man Consequences. Like, consequences of what? Player going too deep into the code? And this character that was clearly not born from the program, just decided to stay in the area nosy players end up in to poke fun of them? Yeah, sure.
But in Old Mike case that "consequences" part makes perfect sense - him being there is the consequence of his actions as a kid bully. His entire existence is the direct consequence of his actions. Therefore it makes sense to call his older self that - "I am an Old Man made by Consequences of my younger self actions"
👏 👏 👏
I thought this was a good episode!! It made me think of those pictures Mike drew in the survival logbook. Where he wants a speed boat and water skis. Also it's funny if OMC is Mike, because OMC also means original main character. Mike used to be main character
Yoooo you are onto something with OMC one
@@Aikumis-h9e thanks! This is random but I was also thinking Foxy has a hook. Fishing with a hook. Maybe there's something there
I kinda just think that Old Man Consequences… is just Old Man Consequences. If Nighmare/Nightmarionne is the giver of death, and the Puppet is the giver of life, then I think that Old Man Consequences is the “Giver” of Purgatory.
based take
But in that example, Charlie would be the giver of life, aka a person in the story of FNAF, as opposed to a being simply made for giving life like you’re suggesting OMC is
thats my interpretation
hes only there to make sure sould go to rest, nothing else
not even forcing them, just looking over them
And isnt this what Michael does from the beginning
I’ve always just loved the idea of a wise old crocodile just representing the consequences of those who face them
If we assume jrs is where the sink hole that became the FNAF6 location is.. then the Mega Pizzaplex would be built on top.. being that it's the same location from midnight motorist we know that's a large open area of land next to what seems to be a busy major highway so that would make sense to build the Pizza Plex there.

His cat loves him making videos it gets a groom everytime 😂 Such a good dude for his cat. Its actually quite sweet
In the fnaf book step closer the Main character may be a Mike parallel, and in the story he goes fishing with his dad, so that could support the Mike=omc theory.
Great theory Rye. You are one of my favorite FNaF content creators but there is just one aspect of this video that I cannot overlook:
You should get one of those cat brushes that have like a button to push the back end of the brush closer to the "teeth", so it accumulates less fur. It seems like a pain to remove all that fur from the brush you were using.

The cave and the lake falling animation could indeed be a link.
maybe the restaurant being underground could also be caused by a MASSIVE sinkhole.
It always bothered me that nearly everyone assumed OMC was Henry. Like the evidence is so lukewarm but it made the most sense thematically. This evidence however is pretty solid!
You convinced me especially because it solves midnight motorist in a satisfying way
This is gonna go crazy I already know! I always like new perspectives on "established" things.
Ive never stopped to think how old mike is at this point, damn

33 min early for me 😅
20 seconds is the earliest I have ever been
i’ve always thought OMC looked like foxy and it wasn’t until this video that i realized that’s not the general consensus
New subscriber. I was curious about the episode topic but the brushing the kitty and being so cute is what got me 😂
Welcome in!
@RyeToast thank you glad youtubes algorithm recommended you!
there is a theory proposed by Dual process theory that mike is the vengeful spirit, and at first it didn't make sense to me with what was said in this video, but afer some thinking it makes perfect sense.
It is canon tho, Scott never said it isn't he said that he regrets trying to tie it to the lore too much,
Damn that is a looooong coment
@@Gront517Not really?
This combined with Dual Process's theory makes so much more sense. Cassidy was always the vengeful spirit, just not in the way people perceived it. He wasn't just some random victim. He was Cassidy Afton. William's son. The son he forced into the very thing that he was afraid of, but the very thing that put him in the coma. William stuffed him in Fredbear and let him get spring locked. Which is what killed him. That sounds like a solid vengeful spirit to me.
"Why?! Why have you done this to me?! You're my father! Why would you do this to me?!" (My personal context of how that would appear)
It explains why Cassidy kept Afton alive in the Spring Bonny suit. "You put me in that thing and forced me to become what I am. Now it's my turn to do the same to you!"
After all, when a person is in a coma, they can still hear things in the physical world.
You and I can stay here forever."
This also explains the scene in the movie where Golden Freddy tells Michael that he can stay in the dream forever with his brother and family.
If he was born of his first kill, it makes sense that he would have something to do with that night, that Jr's sign, and then his demise.
yo that'd make serious sense if it was because of Charlottes death.. why its dialogue seems to similar in thought to Henry's
15:15 More stuff about Mike fishing, in the fazbear frights story step closer. Pete (Mike stand in) goes fishing. Just a bit more info.
The voice acting for OMC was 10/10!
Wow I love the way you write your theory videos, I feel like I put the pieces together with you and it's really clear which points you're trying to make, I find even the og boy matpat struggles to walk me through it in the same way. No hate to him just a comparison, I think the chill vibes help me digest the information better aswell, also the way Marq was looking at you while you were brushing him 😭
This is all really compelling, but i have to ask:
If micheal is omc, then why is he in fnaf world?
4. C.C
Or 8 and the most weird one being Andrew.
Yeah. I thought he was some form of death too.
I love him.
Surprised Rye didn’t mention the foxy pirate ship behind the lake where dreadbear comes from. Kind of seals this theory.
So he's screaming out to the two people who did this
11:47 caught me off guard lmao, PWP is peak
The evidence taken from the CODB hub world is actually really solid evidence, I liked this
Mike being OMC also makes sense since technically FNAF's story itself was in a way his "consequence", If you believe the CC was the first victim.
Foxy's pirate ship is also sailing on the Dreadbear lake.
There is no proof to suggest that is the vengeful spirit. Could be Charlie for all we know.
@@shui804the vengeful spirits name is revealed in that same book
@TheAMVDorf even that fact can be disproven by the fact we get the combination from the cc, or the altered text ghost while who we assume is the vengeful spirit is the one who asked the question that lead us to get said combination.
I love that you talked about the cave in Security Breach. I haven't seen people talk about that weird cave that had waters and stuff in it
building on this: the shot that people commonly interpret as mike, dave, and elizabeth watching TV together happens when cassidy drowns themselves. what if this is actually how they get released from their purgatory?
the puppet's dialogue implies that all the spirits are trapped in cassidy's hell and not just william, so it's possible old man consequences is mike, just fishing until something happens
assuming fnaf world takes place alongside it, maybe cassidy refuses to end the torment until the crying child is put back together and ready to move on with everybody else?
I’m kinda surprised everyone thought of OMC was a crocodile, I’ve always seen it as a Foxy cause you know the red, the long snout and teeth
i am going to be real honest. i havent really kept up with fnaf lore except for a few matpat videos so this video is near incomprehensible to me, but you have a really captivating speaking voice and the pace of the video is phenomenal. I logged on to my computer just to comment on it. Also your cat is very cute
Well thank you! And fair, I think HyperDroid's Ultimate FNAF Guide is slated to come out this month if you wanted to jump back in!
@@RyeToast Thanks for telling me, I just might!
You could have also mentioned that it being foxy explains why he is red and not green like a crocodile would be, or any other color it could have been.
Ive always thought that old man consequences is practically the grim reaper, trying to get the restless spirits to pass on.
I really like this theory, way more than Henry being OMC. Here's hoping other fnaf tubers react/respond to this theory and bring more connections.
Or maybe it's just andrew, who is known for wearing a crocodile mask
I had the idea of Mike being OMC after watching MatPat react to Dual Process Theory's video, tho I was like "nah, someone with more experience in lore would probably find something that negates that..."
Although I wasn't the one who sent the e-mail, and I never said anything about it to anyone, I feel cool about having the thought of it on my own. Plus, it's cool to see that people got the same thought at some point
Another thing thats important is the waterfall lake in the cave of ruin is actually red if you look at it, so maybe a hint to the OMC Red lake idk
Okay, I like this. You've convinced me, I'd never have thought of this without the podcast.
having the balls to groom on camera is insane
Im really impressed with the theories BUT IM MORE IMPRESSED WITH THE CAT STAYING ON YOUR LAP
I think RyeToast might also be old man consequences. I mean... look at that salmon shirt
