  • Gut Microbiome is the main reason for obesity. Nobody is talking about these tiny little microorganisms which is present throughout your intestine, right from your oral cavity into the food pipe into the stomach into the small intestine into the large intestine your colon -which plays a major role in how you think, how you look, what kind of diseases you are going to get and what kind of immune responses you are going to generate if you are exposed to an infection like COVID.

In my humble opinion, The other way to increase the Good Gut Bacteria, is by regularly consuming fermented foods like Yoghurt, Natto , Miso etc . Also consumption of cruciferous vegetables like Broccoli Cauliflower , Cabbage, Brussels sprouts, Kale aid the growth of good bacteria & intestinal health .

I watched one of health forum, where the doc or Dietitian suggested to go on fasting on Monday. Since we have habit of going out and binging on weekends. It is a goof idea to give the guts a day off to relax on Monday. I follow this and on Monday I prefer sugar free liquid diet like fruit juice, butter milk and black coffee.

Hi Doc, How about stevia ? Is it recommended considering other sweeteners.
Please give examples of balanced Indian diet while intermittent fasting.
Is intermittent fasting a life long habit? Or Just for the time-being to reduce weight?

But life does not end with eat - sleep - reproduce..
Everyone looking to joy in life.. in external world.. buts its internal.
So.. if we read thriukural/thirumandiram/vallalar/avvaiyaar/thayumanavar/ all explains purpose of life..
Also they give importance to veg food.... so kindly read about thrivudai - meiporul..

Thank you for the informative video Doctor. I have a doubt regarding the total protein required per day. As per my calorie intake I need 105 gms of protein which I normally get from whey protein, eggs and meat. If I cut down meat only for 2 meals a week. How will my protein requirement be fulfilled?
