i just recently come across your video; I was in good shape before my wedding as my dinner always done by 5.30pm. After marriage; my in law's time of dinner changed to 8-9pm which is far away different from mine and now i cant stop myself having late dinners. my weight piled and forget about being 80cm waistline - i guess i don't even want to measure since i know i will be in panic attack if i see the figures. Now since i move to my own space - i taught i can easily go back to my old routine; but failed as my husband is still in 8pm window. i decided to make a change and told my last night; i am going to eat my dinner early and wont wait up for u. this morning this video come up and i wont say this is coincidence. thank you for the tips. Hello Dr. Pal, started my weight loss journey, this is my fifth week, lost 23lbs, I eat between 9 and 4 pm, low carb, I notice I don't hardly feel hungary as I use to when I was eating a lot of carbs, thanks for sharing your knowledge, all positive advise is priceless.
I felt like i watched a stand up comedy loaded with healthy information.. thank you Dr. Pal, you r cool. I have started to eat within 16:8 video now. My first meal start at 11am/12pm and my dinner is before 6pm. We just started, and my diabetic mom also follow me as well.
I had hypertension last year(22 age). Since then I was in tension that I have High BP. Now after doing intermittent fasting, left sugar and minimum oil. It’s reduced to 110/70. I feel more positive and energetic.
I m 58 , stayed alone, if I fall sick or even trip down, there's no one who can save me.Hence taking control on oneself with various outlook is damn important. It doesn't matter you live long or short. Stay healthy as long as one can breathe. Let the heart keep ticking.

I am pre-diabetic, with fasting blood sugar ranging from 113 to 118 ,HbA1c fluctuates between 6 to 6.2 .My waist circumference is 80cm ,upper limit of normal ,your vedeos were an eye opener. I have started time restricted fasting ,7am to 7pm .My fasting blood sugar is below 100 and post Prandial is 120 .Thank you Dr Pal for the motivation . Most simple way is cut down or totally stop table sugar, sweets, fried food, processed food, street food. More vegetables, salad, fruits. Less roti, rice, bread. Sleep for 8 hours.

4months ago- I started with 9:30Am-6:30pm -eating window-rest fasting window. Now- my eating window is 12:00Pm-5:30pm rest fasting window. Results - lost 10kgs with very very slight workout/no workout. I can continue this for years happily. Thanks to you doctor. I come back and check your videos for all the motivation. (Boiled veggies with chicken/egg/soyachunk/paneer-for lunch(12:00pm) and 1banana Evening 2pesarattu/moongdal dosa and chutney(coconut/peanut/tomato)with a cup of tea(with milk and brown sugar) and 1banana. Sunday will be chicken curry with rice as a cheat day.

I incorporate one more thing , skipping lunch and replace with fruits. This makes my body light during daytime and getting more time for work at office.

Very Informative video. There is a lot of humor in it. During office days I used to eat before 8, but now with WFH, I am eating at 9:00 ~ 9:30 PM. I think this is one of the reasons my weight is increased by 9Kgs. Now I am decided and I should change the timing again and see the results.
Love the way you pass a serious msg in a funny way . I have starting doing 16-8 and already see the benefits of it .olden days in villages people used to take a meal before dark ( due to lack of electricity in those days ) , but they are strong even at 80 +!! Live example !!
Your video definitely induced the guilt in me (for my own good). I am on this journey since May and have lost 40 lbs! 40 more to go (the hard part starts).... I wanted to do this to be around for my daughter who is 2 and having a family history of diabetics i should have done this much sooner but better than never! Calorie counting (lose it app), controlling the eating window, daily atleast 10 miles of biking is definitely helping... Weakest of these is the duration aspect... Something that has been a challenge to maintain a good discipline

Before my birthday I feel so confident myself. After my twin boys delivery at 2015, I have normal body weight 50kg but 3 years before I gained so much weight (62kg/ 154cm). Because I eat so many unwanted stuffs like pizza, burger and carbonated drinks, ice creams, no. Of coffee etc... I just imagine the aforementioned all if I want to do research or writing works. After that I have lost my confidence, tiredness, big belly and back pain etc. Everyone ask me you pregnant again and some people gave me the priority seat in train. I feel so sad. Hi Dr Pal.Greetings from Malaysia. I have adopted this method years bck. I stop eating at 7pm and start my day again the next morning drinking 1 cup of coffee with condensed condensed milk around 9am.My lunch is usually salad with a little carb,nuts,seeds,dried fruits,avocados,hard boiled eggs and protein. I basically eat the same food everyday. Not denying, I also have cheat days more than once a week. And I'm extremely happy with my weight. I'm 46 with two teenage kids.And I'm aware that condensed milk is not a good option but this is the only sugary thing I take..

@@Padhu_sagitta hi there. Actually I don't have a meal plan or calorie specific diet. I break my fast at about 10am. Have a simple breakfast. Usually it would be one of these, alternatively. I am non vegetarian. 2 slices toast + 1 half boiled egg + coffee Oats Uppuma Idli / thosai Lunch between 2 to 3pm Rice + vegetables + 1 non veg Or noodles or pasta That's it. I drink loads of water If I get too hungry in the evening, couple of plain crackers. I walk 7km every evening and I fill up with water after my walk and therefore am not hungry. But I initially started with the 7am to 7pm routine.

The order in which you eat your food groups is also important- salads, raw veggies/ cooked vegetables due to the fiber; protein next, healthy fats (avocados, nuts) followed by complex carbohydrates. Move for 10 minutes after each meal. It will help with insulin sensitivity. Insulin Goddess talks a lot about this. Thanks Dr.Pal for providing good health education.
I also used to go to any extent in exercise for losing weight and also managed to get my ideal weight but eventually ended in back pain and now trying to control my food temptations which I usually fail to... just love watching the hilarious way you explain

i just recently come across your video; I was in good shape before my wedding as my dinner always done by 5.30pm. After marriage; my in law's time of dinner changed to 8-9pm which is far away different from mine and now i cant stop myself having late dinners. my weight piled and forget about being 80cm waistline - i guess i don't even want to measure since i know i will be in panic attack if i see the figures. Now since i move to my own space - i taught i can easily go back to my old routine; but failed as my husband is still in 8pm window. i decided to make a change and told my last night; i am going to eat my dinner early and wont wait up for u. this morning this video come up and i wont say this is coincidence. thank you for the tips. Hello Dr. Pal, started my weight loss journey, this is my fifth week, lost 23lbs, I eat between 9 and 4 pm, low carb, I notice I don't hardly feel hungary as I use to when I was eating a lot of carbs, thanks for sharing your knowledge, all positive advise is priceless.

I had hypertension last year(22 age). Since then I was in tension that I have High BP. Now after doing intermittent fasting, left sugar and minimum oil. It’s reduced to 110/70. I feel more positive and energetic.

I am pre-diabetic, with fasting blood sugar ranging from 113 to 118 ,HbA1c fluctuates between 6 to 6.2 .My waist circumference is 80cm ,upper limit of normal ,your vedeos were an eye opener. Most simple way is cut down or totally stop table sugar, sweets, fried food, processed food, street food. More vegetables, salad, fruits. Less roti, rice, bread. Sleep for 8 hours.

4months ago- I started with 9:30Am-6:30pm -eating window-rest fasting window.
Now- my eating window is 12:00Pm-5:30pm rest fasting window.
Results - lost 10kgs with very very slight workout/no workout.
I can continue this for years happily.

There is a thin line between thirst and hunger.
I incorporate one more thing , skipping lunch and replace with fruits. This makes my body light during daytime and getting more time for work at office.

Your video definitely induced the guilt in me (for my own good). I am on this journey since May and have lost 40 lbs! 40 more to go (the hard part starts).... I wanted to do this to be around for my daughter who is 2 and having a family history of diabetics i should have done this much sooner but better than never! Calorie counting (lose it app), controlling the eating window, daily atleast 10 miles of biking is definitely helping... Weakest of these is the duration aspect... Something that has been a challenge to maintain a good discipline

Before my birthday I feel so confident myself. After my twin boys delivery at 2015, I have normal body weight 50kg but 3 years before I gained so much weight (62kg/ 154cm). Hi Dr Pal.Greetings from Malaysia. I have adopted this method years bck. I stop eating at 7pm and start my day again the next morning drinking 1 cup of coffee with condensed condensed milk around 9am.My lunch is usually salad with a little carb,nuts,seeds,dried fruits,avocados,hard boiled eggs and protein. I basically eat the same food everyday. Not denying, I also have cheat days more than once a week. And I'm extremely happy with my weight. I'm 46 with two teenage kids.And I'm aware that condensed milk is not a good option but this is the only sugary thing I take..

I break my fast at about 10am. Have a simple breakfast.
Usually it would be one of these, alternatively. I am non vegetarian.
2 slices toast + 1 half boiled egg + coffee
Oats
Uppuma
Idli / thosai
Lunch between 2 to 3pm
Rice + vegetables + 1 non veg
Or noodles or pasta
That's it.
I drink loads of water
If I get too hungry in the evening, couple of plain crackers.
I walk 7km every evening and I fill up with water after my walk and therefore am not hungry.
But I initially started with the 7am to 7pm routine.

The order in which you eat your food groups is also important- salads, raw veggies/ cooked vegetables due to the fiber; protein next, healthy fats (avocados, nuts) followed by complex carbohydrates. Move for 10 minutes after each meal. It will help with insulin sensitivity. Insulin Goddess talks a lot about this. Thanks Dr.Pal for providing good health education.
I also used to go to any extent in exercise for losing weight and also managed to get my ideal weight but eventually ended in back pain and now trying to control my food temptations which I usually fail to... just love watching the hilarious way you explain

Hi Dr pal h r u. I m absolutely fine. I had started my journey last may after seeing ur video. I was 106 kgs and now i m 88 kgs. I m 😊 strictly following time restricted feeding 😊16: 8 window. I was so happy to share this here 😊 . And s as u said once we get strict in to our time then time heals everything
Hello Dr. Pal, I have been doing 16 hours intermittent fasting for the past 4 months, but have only lost 20lbs. My gall bladder was surgically removed 9 years ago. Since then I’ve had digestive issues. Do you have any suggestions for further weight loss and good digestion?
