sonny being a laid back island guy who plays the guitar for a living is such a vibe. he probably wasnt even mad about living in a tent for 4 years
All he needs is a bubble blower and a beach towel.
Not finished watching it, but you can license a song for every instrument guitar, violin, pipe organ, BOTH piano and keyboard. So the piano skill will actually get you 2 different song license opportunities. Earn tips while doing all of the instruments. Write 1 song each while also earning tips. Then move on to the mix station. You can sell the CD's on the selling table or directly from your inventory. That one is kind of repetitive though since you only have to mix for 1 second and then can burn a CD.

Yes! And you can get the steamer bot thing and film himself playing music to upload. There’s an actual category of video specific for guitar I think. That would count as making money from music even though it’s uploading videos.
@@shannaandersonzongo8128 yah, I suggested making videos with the drone for Pablo too, but not sure if he saw it. Any skill can be TH-camd if you make a video while doing it. Those rack up fast just like writing.
Omg yes piano/keyboard is such a good skill for music sims because of that! Singing is also really easy to get up with the piano/guitar/shower and at level 8 singing you can write lyrics on the piano/guitar, which count as microphone!
Sonny loving the island aesthetic makes me think he's close to his step-mom. I know it's random, but Sonny being close with Nalani is so wholesome.

get your hands on an orange topaz and cut it with the gemology table and have sonny and vivienne share it, it stops sims from getting burned out on creative skills, gets them inspired, makes them gain the skills faster AND makes their works higher quality!

(Not really, but I did park his 2 year old tushy on the carpet with enough toys and snacks to entertain him for 1 hr 26 minutes and 58 seconds)

If Sonny works on his singing skill, that's another "instrument" that can get tips, and you don't even need a microphone, as you gain singing skill when you choose "sing song..." on the guitar/piano (once you have high enough singing,) or when you just click the sim and start singing. The best part, though, is that if you have both singing and guitar (or singing and piano,) you can "write lyrics" by clicking the guitar/piano (or microphone) and license those, too. (They count as a separate instrument for the "one per week per instrument" rule.) And the karaoke machine in the Tiny Town community center could get some use for fun, too.
I think the water should be deep enough so that Sonny can potentially swim around his island 😄 maybe Pablo can go dive for treausures 😅

James saying he has short term memory problems is always so funny (PS Sonny was hurt by Judy on their date and you even said "well she is mean" and laughed about it. It's hilarious that later you were like "what did she even do to you?" )
I recently played through the music mixing skill with my legacy. Here's my top tips: 1) Sell released CD's for extra money. 2) As far as I can tell, the quality of the track is based entirely off of the skill and mood of the sim. At top skill I was able to just start making music, then burn the track immediately and get good quality tracks. 3) Don't worry about the label. If they drop you, you will immediately be signed again when you release new music. 4) Iirc unlike writing, the mixed tracks don't lose value over time, so you can make an insane amount, it just takes time to build up.

In the last playthrough for each sibling you should have them find a partner (except Krystoff) and move them in together. It will make it more of a big Tiny Town community.
Or give some of them pets. Like Camilo seems like a Cat Person kinda guy. Or Krystoff and Rahoul getting a dog to cope with Reuben growing up in a day and moving out😂
I feel like maybe for realism some should and some shouldn't. Like Sonny having an on again off again thing with Judith, or one other just not being interested in relationships, but some new faces would be nice.
Maybe based on the dates they are always calling about? And maybe some kids too, cause i find it very unlikely Semaj would end up with only two grandkids.
That could be done at the very end though, so James doesn't have to worry about them. Just age them up and maybe spin the wheels (or maybe just skill and color (maybe two each to make them different) to make a room. But that may be a lot.

this idea is perfect! the last episodes for each of them should definitely be them settling down, krystoff can possibly adopt a new kid since they weren't able to actually raise their kid 😭 ruben had to grow up immediately

It's so blue because the bright sand makes the blue of the water pop. It's perfect for Sunny's home imo. That sand is the reason why the ocean in Sulani has this bright, clean blue as well.
I really like the idea of Sonny being the only one in Tiny Town to have a tiny home. Just the nicest little island shack so he can spend more of his time strumming his guitar on his private beach.
I really wish sims could play guitar sitting down.

There's one of the new child aspirations that speeds up painting, writing, and writing songs in adulthood. I think it's the Creative Genius one. So good! And the new Practice Makes Perfect trait keeps you from getting the creative fog or mental fog at all because you're supposed to be practicing your skills as part of the trait.
does it really? one of my sims did experience early burnout with this trait so I had to relax for a day so it definitely doesn't save them from that :/
@@kapsican In my experience it protects them from burnout through skill building but not careers.
@@kapsican I've never had any burnout at all from skill-building. They can still get burned out from work but I gave that trait to my Super Sim and she's never had burnout.

@kapsican Well, in that case, it's bugged. At least for me. My sim doesn't have a job, she is an archeologist. And it worked great initially, she was able to practice the skill without burning out, I assumed thanks to the trait. But after maxing the skill, she started getting burned out. So it's great in theory, but doesn't work.

I think it would be cool if Sunny turned into a mermaid. It would also make sense because he is living on an island and mermaids are known for their love of music which is basically Sunny. Anyway it was a great video!🫶

"I'm writing a song that already exists?" Tbf, you're probably writing an arrangement of it. Very common for instrumentalists, to get their starts by arranging popular songs for instruments that don't have a written arrangement for it, or by reimagining an arrangement. I imagine that's what Sonny's doing, especially since it's pipe organ, and there's not many contemporary pieces written for a pipe organ arrangement.
We are getting so spoiled this week. Loving tiny town.

I’m catching up on all the Tiny Town episodes and just finished ep 9 where the holiday decorations kept popping up everywhere. I used to get really annoyed with this myself, especially since these decorations tend to get permanently stuck on community lots, so I just wanted to let you know that there’s this teeny tiny mod by Zero called ’Remove Decorations on Every Lot’ which gives you a Debug option to remove all of it with a single click, it’s super handy!!

I like the tiny house with no bridge for Sonny. When I play musical Sims I skill up piano, violin, guitar, organ and singing so I can release a song in each category every week. It takes ages to get all those skills up and write all those songs, but once you have one song for each instrument the income is super passive.
The rent is also counting the "common space". Like the vault of money and the massive expensive structure in the center of your town. If you made a rental lot that was empty, rent would be lower. To be fair, you are using the town hall objects as if they where your home.
Rent should not be counting shared spaces. When we remove the large grass area the rent goes way down

If the garden produce glitches into your sims inventory, you should put the money from selling it to the vault.

Orchard a go-go is probably the best lot to go for tips even early on it pays a lot. I often got 150 to 200 per day early by the end of the skill making anywhere from 2500 to 5000 per day.

You know, just to practice some yoga together, I can teach you some new spetacular poses I've been doing lately... no, it's not free though. You know, my man, I have bills to pay... you too??! Now I just imagine Sonny has been living in that tent for years because he was just that music guy that never really felt the rush of getting his life together. He had a tent to sleep in, his siblings were making food on the bbq, he didn't need more. The only downside was that it was constantly raining and storming in tiny town, so he kinda always knew he had to start doing something, he just always said ''yeah, yeah, i'll start tomorrow''. Now that he's a little bit older, he figured he should persue his dream of playing the pipe organ and actually live in a house. He kinda gets away with everything, always, because he's talented enough, but mostly very charming. Being spotted on dates with a global superstar, eating at bars every night. Sonny is a legend. Sonny is THE legend. The other Renrut siblings should feel lucky knowing the amazingly cool Sonny Islands
You can sell the cds for extra cash (once you've licensed them) and you can also like burn it right after starting so in 10 sim minutes you can have 12ish in your inventory

I can just imagine sonny digging his moat for his island home and it going into krystoff’s lot and krystoff just stands on his path in the morning shaking his fists in his soggy loafers. Hes the type to probably end up drawing a line around his land to teach sonny not to cross over it
It might be a good idea to get Sunny one of the streaming drones! Then he can stream himself performing/practicing instruments which will give him more "tips" for music as well as well as fame. Let him be the Pipe Organ Influencer the world needs! :D
Actually, one of the members of the Doors was an organist and he helped write Light My Fire. And in the classic song, "In the Garden of Eden" back in the sixties, there was organ music in it.I hope Silas is next, I don't even remember what his skill was.

Can I just say I absolutely LOVE that James goes all out on these houses?! It may be an unpopular opinion based on the comments throughout this series, but I am LIVING for these unique and fun builds. The palace and vault houses are my favorites so far!

Quick tip with the media mix station… dinky beats is a good starter label, but as you get better at mixing, you can eventually get better labels with higher payout. New tastemakers has a higher payout but you have to produce a new track every 2 days or you get dropped. Maxis label also has a higher payout than dinky beats, but I believe it’s less than tastemakers in payout. Also, it gives you three days. Anyway, thank you for the tiny town feast! Love the island build. Keep up the amazing work!
If you set Sonny to like arguments and malicious interactions in CAS he won't get upset when Judith is mean to him.

I would either get rid of Insider or keep the Tiny Town club active all the time. Insider is pretty terrible because it makes your Sim sad all the time if they aren't in a club

Playing as a DJ is also a good option. The tips you get when you're in the DJ booth are usually in hundreds if you're high level!
Sonny becoming famous as the crazy guy who plays the pipe organ at the museum in the music enrichment room all day is hilarious to me. Just imagining the sims saying to each other, yeah, some guy just shows up and plays a;l day. He’s getting good, too! Wasn’t at first, though, phew. Maybe a local news segment on it, them interviewing the museum staff who are like, we have no idea who he is, he just shows up.
Sonny should have the barbecue pit as his main cooking source rather than a stove, he can make bigger portions of food and just store them in his fridge. He can also have a cooler/bar, a little stereo that plays 'island' music, and a lounge chair next to the pit so he can relax and tan outside while waiting for the food to finish cooking to give a more 'island/outdoorsy/chill' vibe to his house and lifestyle.
Honestly love the small vibe for the island style. ❤ I think Sonny should have a legit modest tiny home being a famous musician 😊
When I was a kid, one of my favorite books was Andrew Henry's Meadow. Andrew Henry liked to build things but his family did not appreciate his inventions all over the house. So one day he ran away and built his own little home in a meadow. Soon other kids showed up and wanted him to build them homes as well. One girl loved birds so he built her a tree house. A boy loved toy boats so he built him a house over a creek. Etc. Each home was perfect for what the kids loved to do. I have been thinking of that book through this entire series. I always love to watch these videos but this is the first one that brought back the happy memories of being a kid and imagining what kind of home Andrew Henry would have built for me.

i like the idea that for every "free" terrain editing done (e.g. the island, loads of gravel for pathways, etc), it's all paid for by Kristoff since he's "the wealthy eldest sibling" lol
Tips in instruments increase per level through multiplication by two. So level one gets §2 as a tip and so on. Entrepreneur skill is for more marketable...? hobbies. So painting, writing and instruments gain entrepreneur skill since you're selling something. Not completely sure about woodworking but I think it works the same.

I’m gonna miss this series so much when it’s over. I’m doing this challenge in my game and it’s the most fun I think I’ve ever had playing the sims.
