thanks so much for the love on this video everyone!! 🥹🫶🏻 welcome in to anyone who’s new 🩷 just a small plug for my twitch streams if you ever want to play the sims live with me! twitch.tv/SarahKendall 🎉 I’m usually live Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting at 12PM ET!
They’re obviously just really strict parents who don’t believe in privacy unless it’s for themselves. And that’s why they have a living room to themselves. The 4 bathrooms are just for funsies 🙃
ok SO true
@@sarahkendall hiii :))) I love ur videos smmm 🫶🏻🫶🏻
hi hiiii thank you!!
I was thinking this too!!
I thought about a cult with cult leader(s) having the privacy and the members just being together but if you think about it a family can also be a cult xD
i think aliens pretending to be humans live here. maybe all their knowledge about humans comes from tv sitcoms, cause they tend to have disjointed and nonsensical layouts due to their sets
Haha I love this one, this is the story xD
to me, this is giving that random studio apartment you rent when you wanna live near college but not IN college and you end up living in the weirdest looking house that is being rented one person by room
my first thought was an old frat house that got sold off (the bar room cemented it for me)
This is giving cult leader starter home. No privacy. Love this challenge 😂
hahahaha yesss i'm glad you liked it!!
Okay, So I came up with a back story for the house. Originally, this house occupated a rich man who was a party animal type person. The house had 2 bathrooms, a large walk-in closet, a bar, an outdoor party zone, and a kitchen for his personal chef to cook food for him. After he moved out a pair of lesbians (because of the pride flag being the lesbian pride flag, I Think, I could be wrong) And there adopted teenage daughter tried to renovate the place, only to realize they didn't have enough money to Redo the plumbing situation or move the back door and now they are currently trying to save up enough money in order to finish the renovations and fix the mishaps from They're ambitious, financialy ill planned renovation.
What does everyone else think about this idea?
Good or bad back story for the house?
( Also I think the house looks fun and really good )
oh i LOVE this idea
What a cute storyline!!😭
This sounds like a really fun family to play!
And that's why they still have the bizarrely placed middle-of-the-house bathroom... because taking out the toilet would leave open sewer pipes (rather expensive to deal with, I assume) but they've blocked it off as much as possible, because everyone is obviously using the fancy new bathroom! And that's clearly where they PLAN on putting the dining room table, they just can't yet!
honestly, an outside shower when you live in a sandy area seems like a good idea to avoid vacuuming a ton of sand every two days
Parents with 2 problematic teenagers moved to a house and designed it so they have their private bathroom, bedroom and a living room, meanwhile the kids have a no privacy bedrooms and a bathroom.
okay 8 passengers, work
I like this cause then you got the kitchen in a closed off room. Maybe so it can be locked properly cause the teenagers play with the stove and stuff.

🍀 I think this was a young couple who was in the middle of converting a run down house into the home of their dreams; they’d already installed the bar they wanted and changed one of the old bedrooms into a luxury bath and were in the process of removing the old bathroom when tragedy struck.
One of their siblings died unexpectedly and they suddenly had to take custody of their nieces; they moved the office stuff into the master bedroom to create space for one of the girls, then gave up their dream walk in closet to be the new living room so the older girl could have a space to stay that didn’t require her walking through their bedroom.
It’s awkward and messy, but they’re doing their best to make it work.
This was exactly my thoughts, but I pictured am older teen boy getting the Murphy bed situation
I love this 😭
your story is my favorite actually 🫢❤️
I love this challenge. I’ve only seen a couple people do something like this and I wish more would. It’s just such fun chaos…except when the patio is the patio. 😜
hahahaha i'm glad you like it!! it's so much fun
Build challenge: 3 bed two bath with a skill room. The only neutral /black and white items allowed are windows, doors, and lights.
oh this would be a challenge for me you know I LOVEEEE neutrals 😅
That's a good one, It sounds easy at first but when you actually try it is another story 😂
@@Bela_S2_ Its easy for me. 🤣 it basically how I build.
I know what this is. It's a grandparent's house. They have all these bedrooms for when family visits and stays over, but since most of the family lives in town, they don't need as many beds. But bathrooms? Especially after Thanksgiving, there needs to be a lot of bathrooms. I'm guessing that this home was the one the parents grew up in, but since the grandparents weren't amazingly well-off, they just modified their house to fit their family's needs. And they obviously sometimes need time alone away from the family, so a private movie room is perfect, especially when there's another TV and a hot tub to keep the rest of the family entertained.
Double challenge: use this one + every room is a random size
omg yes 👀
Suggestion: Every Room is a Different Ice Cream Flavor but your Building a Beach Resort
Woahhh this could be fun!! I want resorts in the sims 4 so maybe I’ll manifest it through a build 😅
@@sarahkendall so your holding my idea hostage till then, figured
Do every Room is a Different Random Number of Plants
Backstory: student housing! In the UK they turn dining rooms into bedrooms and such to squeeze more occupants into the building.
We bought our house from a couple who has turned the dining room into a bedroom.
This house is like one big IKEA display
this layout reminds me of one of my college living setups. there was like 11 of us in a 5br farmhouse! Nothing like a room divider, a clothing line + sheet and an available plug socket to create an impromptu bedroom and/or another "kitchen"! good timessss 😆
I did have a friend whose bathroom led outside. I never questioned it or realized how odd it was until now 😭
You could do it again but with many more kinds of rooms in your wheel, like nursery, laundry room, hobby room, art studio, etc. and see if you manage to get a functional house!
Missed opportunity to use that one bush your sims can pee in for the outdoor bathroom😂
It's giving 7 roommates in a janky college house but luke they are all 💅 and are just making ut through! 😂
i have a weird backstory for the build: The house used to be a Spa, that explains the insane amount of plumbing in the house, but it also was used as a workplace for the people in charge of the business side of the Spa, that's why there's an inside-room kitchen and the parents room has a weird shape (the living room used to be the boss' office). Sadly, the people in business weren't too clever and the Spa went bankrupt quickly, leading to the property being taken by the government. Few years go by and some family moves to the house, mostly because is big. The house is occupied by the parents, their disabled kid and their personal caretaker. The kid needs a room with easy access so they can be guarded 24/7. By making this possible the living room becomes an open room with is own bathroom and a nitch where the caretaker sleeps, with no doors or walls in case of an emergency (?). Some of the stuff that can be found in the house were left by the Spa business, such as the hot tubs, the bar and most of the structure of the inside kitchen, as well as the outside showers and laundry room, that also used to be the workers' bathroom.
Here's what I thought for the background story, it's two siblings or two friends who lived in dorms in their college years and one majored in art (hence the little instrument in the first room) and the other majored in engineering and loves decor. They're both super supportive of each other so one came up with designs/ color scheme and the other was in charge of placement, but because they were used to small spaces that's why their rooms are in "odd" areas, and chose to have a bigger bathroom because they finally didn't have to share! They have lots of friends so they invested in a bar room, not so much the kitchen since they kinda snack a lot ( hence the snack bin) but they'll experiment every other paycheck. The big room is intended for relatives more because their parents are movie lovers, and they also want to make sure they're really comfortable when they come to. They're rarely home because of their careers but have parties almost every weekend so they have easy access to bathrooms.
Also the shell looks awesome! I love when you do modern/contemporary/industrial styles 🤩🪴
Possible Backstory: It's a house that was converted to a Home Goods store. You come here to buy stuff for your home. However, the market has taken a downturn, so to keep from being homeless the owners are living on the lot as well.
You should try SandraPyka's Every Tile Is A Different Color Challange!!
i saw this and it looks so fun to do!!
Great video!
For the backstory/house layout explanation: I honestly just assumed the two "no privacy" bedrooms were guest rooms- especially the murphy bed one since it is set up to double as a living room situation. By the end of the build I was thinking the place was owned by a lesbian (the pride flag used) couple, who have grown up kids if they ever had kids. They didn't need a huge kitchen or dining room, just enough of each to cook and eat, so they chose to still buy the house even though the only kitchen is tiny. The small bedroom with a computer could act as a second office if both of them work from home on the same day. The hot tub idea still works in the desert if you account for temperatures plummeting at night. Plus you could turn down or off the hot tub's heater to use it as a pool with water jets instead. The showers are there to wash off the sand cuz it gets everywhere. And two guestrooms with three tiny bathrooms feels like they get a lot of guests. Although, the laundry room and outdoor shower/hot tub bathroom are only separated by a door, so they could count as one big indoor/outdoor bathroom. So a social lesbian couple makes sense to me. The only things I'd add to sell the backstory would all be in the unused area of the backyard- a grill area, maybe a separate bigger pool, and a conversation pit. Also the glass bit of awning makes sense as both a little sun shield if it's tinted as well as "if it ever does rain in the desert, i would want an awning to stand surprised under". If one added a pool the outside showers could also be there to rinse off chlorine from said pool.
You could do "every room is a different random rug (and swatch)"!!
OMG YEAH this could be fun
17:10 you could do a shower . You know , outside is sand so you will be dirty . That type of shower that is on swimming pools 😅😅
20:20 you could do book door , you know that mystery doors 😃
omg i should have thought of the book door!! great idea
Two dinning rooms they really do eat
it’s true it’s true
I haven't finished the video but I LOVE how you tackled the bathroom in the livingroom. It looks amazing! ❤
thank you so much!!
I loved when you said “I should go back and add hot tubs to all of the bathrooms 23:02. I’m just kidding or am I

thank you so much!!
Great vid ❤!! First time ever seeing ur channel so now I have to catch up bc ?! How did I miss this beautiful content ?! 10/10
thank you so so much!! welcome!!
Story idea:
this house belongs to a family who are slowly renovating their house but are only part way done so the layout is random
Omg I love this challenge. This is so fun
I’m glad you like it!!
This is my first video I’ve watched from you. Definitely earned a sub! I love how you made everything work despite not making sense AT ALL!! I love it!! Can’t wait to binge the rest 💕💕
thank you so much!! welcome!!
My immediate guess for the reason behind such a strange layout was "slow burn fixer upper". They had to move in immediately, but the only functional room in the house at the time was the main area. So they set up a Murphy bed for the parents and the kid was given as much privacy as they could give them in what was meant to be the kitchen one day. Dining and bathroom set up in the main area as well! Then as they slowly fixed up the other rooms, they had already gotten mostly used to living where they did, so they just turned the other rooms into what they were missing, still! I am only 10 minutes into this video though so the rest of the vid may change my mind
For a variation on this, you could do the shell but sort out a floor plan so you already know what each room will be. Then if you decided to do the bedroom first you could roll the wheel and say if you got bathroom you’d have to do a bedroom decorated like a bathroom. Could get weird.
thank you for always putting the keybinds! so appreciated
I honestly thought this challenge was going to be you choosing a different room's furniture for each room! For example, you are doing a bedroom but you roll "living room", so you have to go to the living room section in buy mode and only use the furniture from that. But, you still have to try and make it look like a bedroom. There's another idea!
im obsessed with the vibes of whatever is going on with this house's layout 🌱
Aahhhhh!!!!! I used to suggest this when i was more into sims videos. Im glad my hyperfixation came back on time 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
For the kitchen. My house actually has a window into the family room. The family room used to be a part of the backyard, but the owners before us built the room and kept the window. It kinda looks like the Island Living open windows.
This would absolutely make an amazing gameplay, kinda like a rags to riches the family or college students are broke because they bought this fixer upper house and they have to try to save up money to fix it up
This house definitely makes sense! It’s kinda traditional local old house that’s turned into airbnb rent house for a big company that’s why there are a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms! you definitely did the job!!!!👏👏👏
“i don’t know. stop asking questions- that’s probably what the parents would say too” 😂😂
This is the first video I've ever seen of yours and it's hilarious 😂
What a creative, fun challenge! You've earned a new sub
thank you and welcome!!!
This is amazing lol im glad i found you, subscribed.
I'd do this again with more than just basic rooms lol
Powder room, laundry room, library, study, pool/game room, walk-in-closet, breakfast room, foyer, porch, gallery, nursery, family room, playroom, sunroom, conservatory, primary bedroom, guest bedroom, indoor pool, gym, studio (art or music), garden, greenhouse, home bar, pet room, cellar, den, workshop...
I actually kinda love the outdoor bathroom idea and how you tackled it.
I NEEEEEED to see more people do this! It was so much fun and chaos
Maybe the back story to this build is that it was a late 90s concept home of what living would look like in 2020 or something and the family just never got the money to renovate the whole house but are slowly building up to it
21:39 YES KAMALA REFERENCE 😂
This reminds me of basically every student house (for university students) in the uk! Bedrooms literally in every room, some have sinks in for no reason- terrible kitchens and floor planning just to cram as many students as you can into one property and charge a lot for rent!
In Paris, the urban plan to increase hygiene and therefore health stated houses needed more sinks like for example, in bedrooms not just bathrooms, maybe that’s why the sink is accesible there
off-topic but the sounds of your keyboard??? omg, I hate asmr usually but that is SO NICE
great, now I want a new keyboard 🥲
OMG hahaha thank you!! it's the NZXT function keyboard with gateron brown switches!
@@sarahkendall what a gorgeous piece of tech! I'll be listening for it in the next videos hahah
I love the outdoor bathroom ❤️
I just feel that a family bought a home from an artist/architect that (just like you) put rooms in a random places, and kinda modified it to look normal.
I thought this was going to be room-themed rooms so you might have like an office-themed bathroom or backyard-themed bedroom, I don’t know if you ever want to do a wheel challenge like that but I feel like that could be interesting
just found my new fav sims4 youtuber 🗣️🗣️
thank you!! welcome!!
This challenge seems so fun!
it definitely was super fun to do!!
@@sarahkendall Omg Hiiii! I wasn’t expecting you to respond! ❤️❤️❤️

WHAT IF there is only one child and the “living room” doubles as a guest bedroom? thats why its a pull out couch?
I AM EATING UP ALL THIS SARAH CONTENT
The shower above the toilet is not giving lmao
I like it and I actually would like to download the house. They could also be a family that didn't wanna live the traditional way.
First like!! Could you do a house for a either really obsessed cat person or really obsessed dog person?
oooh this could be fun!!
@@sarahkendall I have an idea you could make a build that combines both of these ideas and it be a person who is obsessed with dogs and cats
@@Forever_chyannOr a townhouse style apartment complex that has a dog person in one side and a cat person on the other.
Each bathroom has a use. The larent get the big one obviously, the kid has to use the laundry one because laundry is one of their chores, the exposed one next to the door is for visits, especially the ones they don't like and want to leave soon, and the one outside is to clean yourself after going in the hot tub
Bathroom living room, toilets are the couch, and sink be the end tables 😆
The video was amazing. I absolutely love the every room is a different room. I think the best part of the build was all the bathrooms.
i'm so glad you liked it!!
I actually love seeing you use an open floor plan, it just didn't seem to work for this challenge lol
I love your interior design style.
Thank you!
@@sarahkendall of course! ❤️
This is a great video idea, it seems so fun❤
thank you!!!
the backstory is this is a couple's desert vacation home! they have a nice front patio and back hot tub for relaxing. they don't cook a lot on vacation so they have a small kitchen only, but have some bar area for drinks when they have guests over. they made the bathroom like a spa for them to decompress. they also made a small improvised lavabo for guests and turned the old back lavabo into a needed laundry room that they havent gotten around to getting rid of the toilet yet, but opened a door to the back patio to cut short to their new hot tub! also they have a small dining room by the door for easy access to the front patio when they host gatherings in hot days. and they have a living room with a sofa that can turn into a bed when some friend or family needs to sleepover, so that they can enjoy sleeping in their bedroom with privacy. finally they have a small tv room in their room for when their child niece comes to spend holidays (which is often because they're also her Godparents) so they can still watch their more adult stuff when she's asleep. and they even put a bunk bed just for her in a little corner room with a computer and just curtains divisions because she is a bit afraid of the dark and that helps come more light in. in the end and very modern and well thought little getaway place for a young couple :)
First time watching you but I actually love this! And I have a theory!! So it starts with a couple, a very shy girl (A) with her extroverted wife (B). And that's why the living room is connected to the bedroom so A has a place to escape too. And B loves mixology (henceforth the bar room). The kids room was once a office until B's parents died and their sister had to move in with them, so they converted the office into a bedroom. The living room lounge was always like that for incase a friend slept over or they had visitors. The random open-plan bathroom, I think, could have worked as just a normal guest bathroom. It didn't really need the shower.
Does this make sense?
This video was beyond chaotic and I loved every second of it.
thank you!!
Awesome, good job!
thank you!!
I actually adore you so much; I'm new to the sims and was so confused how people were freely moving and resizing their stuff so my house looked so weird in some places 😭🤍
my backstory for this house is that it was used for a reality tv show where every contestant picks a space in the house and then spins a wheel for what it will be. 😹
My take on this, some rich college kid wanted to get a party house that had easy access to bathroom, places to sleep, a closed kitchen so people dont raid the alcohol a private bathroom an bedroom to live in.
YESSSS THIS IS MY FAVORITE CHALLENGE!!!!!
i'm so glad you like it!!
ur videos always inspire me to build 😱 (and inspiring me to actually play the sims is an achievement in itself)
How cool would it be to have put a secret ice cream machine in the parents’ secret movie hang-out room? Imagine the kids not knowing that they're missing out on not just a hidden movie room, but also an endless supply of ice cream! 😂 (adding to the backstory yk?😅)
Grammarly helped make this, can you tell?😅 according to Grammarly, it should sound joyful, assertive, (?), and informative. 😂
Also, I was fiddling with their AI feature, and I just have to share this😂 I told the AI to make it more detailed, and this is what it came up with:
I'm currently safeguarding the following text for you:
"Isn't it exciting to think about having a clandestine ice cream machine in the secret movie room for parents? Just picture the kids being completely unaware that they're not only missing out on a covert movie room but also an unlimited amount of ice cream! 😂 (just enhancing the backstory, you know? 😅)
I think Grammarly might have had a hand in crafting this, don't you think? 😅 According to Grammarly, it should radiate joy, confidence, (?), and be enlightening. 😂"
I would love to see this challenge done again but with way more room options (like pool, office, craft room, etc. etc.) Imagine getting a pool in the second floor 🤣
GOOD IDEA omg i will definitely have to redo this!!
The laundry-bathroom could have a door to the outside to air dry the clothes
waittt that's perfect!!
So happy that the algorithm brought me this video, love it! 🌿
thank you so much!!
Using the shower from island living allows you to shower outdoors without causing embarrassment.
this is such a funny idea, i love the chaos 🌻
I've been commenting this idea on so many people's videos! I'm so glad someone's doing it! (Even if it's not inspired by me)

🌻love your content so much ! 🥰
thank you so much!!!
Maybe they bought that house at an auction or as a handyman special and the building permits keep falling through. Why was it so weird to begin with? Who knows. Maybe the previous family had very unusual taste 🤷🏽♀️
This is 100% a house renovated SOLELY to be an Air B&B, so they added the room-less bathroom and Murphy bedroom to be able to say there’s more bed/bath rooms in the location. They renovated an office into a bedroom as well and added certains to up the bedroom count. Since it’s an Air B&B yeah ppl realize the layout is wonky but they’re not staying in the house long enough to care.(also the hot tub is an amenity for the location)😊
people in the middle of renovating their old family home, thats why they have 4 bathrooms because theyre n the process of adding and changing plumbing
Stabo The Shork Reminds All Simmers To Paint Your ceilings ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
i prefer not to most of the time!
honestly i was just thinking that it could be a family who bought a home and is remodeling, but their children are a little spoiled and the actual bedrooms were too small for them so they’re making do with things like the curtains until they can finish the house up
Honestly, i think the people who live in this house took the concept of feng shui to the extreme and that's how the house ended up like that
