Thx buddy. I try to keep the temps lower than 160. I have been using a 25t pinion in the past with no temp issues so I decided to gear up to a 27t. The electronics seem to be able to take the extra teeth. 👍🙂
I cut steel rods off of Amazon for all sorts of hinge pins, dog bones, axle carrier pins too. Super cheap like $8 for 10 peices of 100mm long lathe bar tool steel, Titanium ect.
Stock size is 5mm X 96mm. 👍🏻🤙🏻
Thx dude. I would love a link to the titanium bars if you have it. I've tried harden steel rods before but they didn't last long.
I'm in process of testing my own steel also , trying to find that balance between hard / bendable is difficult. Next session I'm giving 1028 a go . Never thought of titanium tho ! Thanks for the tip
@@maxspl153 nice bro. Titanium is definitely super tough. I would also look towards upgrading the hinge pin blocks as well. I've now installed a set of CRCU 7075 rear blocks. Testing will commence soon. 👍🙂
@@inspiredrc ill report back with my results. Im running the M2C blocks front and rear . Next step is to figure out a replaceable bushing for the blocks like the 6s kits have .
Nice run man I’m thinking about running this setup 27t pinion with the stock 47t spur with an 1100kv hobbywing you think I’ll be alright with that setup?
Hi buddy. Yeah...I had no issues running the 27/47 gearing in the stock 1250kv motor. Honestly I think the 1100kv is the perfect motor for this rig. If you see any temp issues then its easy to just add a fan. I think you could go upto a 30t with 1100kv.
That’s awesome buddy I had a 30t in it but my battery ended up puffing up 7,000 man 100c zee battery. So I brought it down to a 27t I’m about to try it out this weekend it’s just for bashing really got it in an outcast 8s

That’s what I thought it would’ve been fine I’m totally excited about the 27t should be a blast with the hobbywing 1100kv I have the stock esc as well you think that esc will be fine?
@@gsxrfun7774 mine was ok after one pack. I think it should be ok. Just keep an eye in the temps. Try to keep it below 150. 160 max...

Thats the system to have for this heavy rig. I had an 8s spektrum combo spare so I put it in at the time I purchased it. I've not had good luck with it. Constantly breaking parts. It's just put me off. I was reluctant to invest more money in it. I may get the max 5 combo in the future if a deal comes my way. 🙂👍

Thx Claire. Yeah pins aren't expensive but wen you go through a couple every time it can soon mount up. I decided to upgrade the hinge pin carriers instead. Hopefully this will resolve the issues.

It's my home made ramp buddy.
You don't have any issues with cogging on that motor and ESC? I tried gearing that combo up in the RTR kraton, which is lighter, and it was with a 22 tooth pinion, and it cogged terribly. Even with the punch lowered it was unusable. Using good batteries too, 7200mAh 80C packs.
Hi buddy. No I've not had any cogging with this combo. I've been running a 25t for the past year with no issues in my outcast and the kraton at punch 5. I have recently put a 27t in the kraton which seems to be ok too. I've got loads of bashing vids with both rigs on my channel.
It does sound like your motor may be faulty.
Your dampers seriously need tuning especially the fronts. M2C ZRS pistons do help a lot with rebound also.
Thx buddy. I would love to upgrade the shocks to m2c but it just too expensive. I may drill out the stock pistons and maybe change out the oils. I do agree it needs some tuning.

Yeah I'd love to but its just too expensive and adds alot of weight. I may do it in the future if i come across a good deal. At the moment I'm saving for some new rigs for the channel.
