For the Rice:
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
5 cups day-old rice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 eggs
2 tablespoons cooking oil
For the Pork & Shrimp Stew:
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
400 grams pork kasim, cut into small cubes
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 piece onion, mince
5 cups water
Set B:
5 tablespoons cornstarch (slurry)
3/4 cup water (slurry)
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon ginger juice
½ cup frozen sweet peas
1/2 cup small shrimps, shelled
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt, to taste
2 tablespoons sesame oil

hello po. i love all your recipes Chef and i just recently bought your book. For this recipe, may I ask po what is the alternative kung wala pong ginger juice? Another thing, my kids have allergies sa shrimp but they like to eat steamed fried rice. Is it ok kung hindi po lalagyan ng shrimp? If excluded ang shrimp, pwede po bang wala nang ginger juice? I know it will taste better pag complete ang ingredients but i would just like to know. thank you.

Pano po pag no access to chinese stores or grocery po, ano po pwed substitute sa sesame oil po?
Lazada or shopee nalang po kau. Walang substitute sa sesame oil pag ganito. Ung kasi ung main component nya

Chef, u forgot to coat the port with cornstarch before cooking.. and to put cornstarch mixed with water to make the sauce thick and juicy🙏

So what made the name Steamed rice? fried rice naman ang pagkaluto...
kasi yong kanin bago pa naging kaning lamig yon, yong paraan ng pagluluto natin kahit rice cooker man ito or the stove top cooking is called steamed rice
