Initially this 'mamak mee' we called it in Penang was started by his grandfather 18:39. It was in a different location and was in Pulau Tikus coffee shop. When I was little my Mum used to bring me there, I'm a vegetarian his grandfather used to wash the wok clean before cooking a vegetarian version for me. His grandfather's 'mamak mee' is in comparable, he was a legend of 'mamak mee'. It's nice to see his grandson has taken over his legacy. Mamak mee goes best with black coffee🤩

Mark, in my opinion you should have gone to another Nasi Kandar joint...Nasi Kandar Restaurant Tajuddin Husain. It is just across the street from Nasi Kandar Imigresen, down an alley and slightly to the left. I personally think it has far superior tasting curries. If you like your curries thick and spicy then this is the place for you. If you are still in Penang and not yet sick of eating Nasi Kandar then have a go before returning home. You won't be disappointed..trust me.

The BIG problem with roti canai - often times they will cook 30 or 40 at a time, put them in a cooler to keep them warm, and then pull them out as customers come in. And then they go on the griddle for a minute or two to warm them up, and the result is usually tough, stringy roti canai. For this reason I never order just plain roti canai. I used to order roti telur, but eventually they started mass-producing these too, so these days I get roti telur bawang, which they have to make from scratch. I suppose you'd be much less likely to have this happen to you if you went to a busy stall like the first one in the video, but beware - most Indian/Mamak/Nasi Kandar restaurants will do this, especially early in the morning before all the customers start coming in.

When I visited steel foundries in India years ago, we were invited to a local restaurant. My colleague asked why so much onion was used. The answer: "That is against food poisoning but you should not be afraid" :-)

I raised 73k and Christina Ann Tucker is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Christina A. Tucker is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!!

@@tajjacobSame. When I was living in America and see them handle the pizza dough with their bare hands or when I had sushi in Fukuoka, with the master using his bare hand, it was good. Is there any difference in Asia?
