Because Mark and other streamers stream entertaining games with stringent rules, others are sure to emulate that, and, indeed, this will trickle down to diamond, maybe even gold players. By throwing all challenge rules clauses in the case of a bm rematch, (aka winning), Mark would be discouraging people from bming. Less toxicity = better
The absolute gulf between uThermal's demeanor during that first game where he's pointing out his opponent's good plays and giving him kudos for picking the right counter vs. the POV of the other guy who's still raging and crying and accusing uThermal of cheating even when he's winning is truly something else. Edit: The 2nd game is one of the most entertaining things I've seen in sc2 content history though, that play to end the game in particular feels like it's exactly what BCs are made to do, like that's straight out of something you'd see in a cinematic cutscene in the campaign lol
KrispyCream was a good sport added the ! After GG. I think he was just happy to be part of such a massive game win or loose. That was great sportsmanship from your side and his.
34:00 my favorite move when I have 1million mules is to scan and then mule drop on their last mining mineral bases. Doesn't matter if they return home, they help the opponent mine out faster.

Woohoo regarding the guide! I'm in the camp of "haven't played in like 10 years" but love your channel and planning to get back into the game soon. My personal recommendation would be something like 1 build per race ... with several videos from you on each of those builds (e.g. how to hold cheese, how to transition into macro, etc.). Then separate videos just on selected topics (e.g. tips and tricks for sieging tanks, hotkeys, drops, etc.) I know you do have videos on some of these topics already, but packaging it up into one guide would be cool!
Do you think "Supply Block to Grandmaster" challenge would be viable? Where you prioritize destroying the enemy's depot, pylon and overlord to keep them supply blocked?

love these long and intriguing games like the last one. wish i could be at least 3 percent as fast&smooth as you, dude. how about a new Protoss challenge? let's call it "The Proto Bank Robber" rules: - you go scouting at a normal time - the scouting Probe steals both gasses - you never cancel these stolen gasses - you never try to defend these stolen gasses - no other restrictions - bonus points if you don't use Stalkers
The guide sounds really interesting. I watched PiG's bronze to GM, didn't quite get there (Silver 2 😂) but it helped reignite the love of SC2, so it's all good

I think a good idea is if you play the same player on the same challenge you can play any challenge you have done in the past to mix things up for your opponent and for your viewers but only ig you play same player in the same challenge as a rule :) love your content
Idea is great, please add to the guide "the general approach to the game" - everyone can learn a strong timed push which is hard to counter and will bring you even to the diamond league.. but what then? It is important to understand how to analyze builds, how to read them, copy them, adapt them. How to understand the economy weaknesses, how to read your opponent etc. Thx :)

i'm in the mood tonight another one challenge idea "not a single step back" - you play Random or just off-race - you play like you want for the first 4:29 minutes. if you somehow achieve a quick win... a win is a win - since the 4:30 minute mark, you must hit enemy's bases with ALL your army every 60 seconds (more often is fine though) - you have no right to retreat after that point (i.e. you only can teleport your BCs to switch the area you are attacking but they must fight on the enemy's territory until they die or the opponent calls for GG) - quit immediately if you don't have anything to hit with and your 60-second timeout is gone - no other restrictions

That's the literal definition of blind counter. Here being blind is not needed to guess or scout your opponent because you know what they are already doing.
I almost want to say that in addition to the marines and reaper, you should also be allowed 1 raven, no auto turrets tho. Just as detection, seeing as other races will always have detectors and overseers. Although, that could just be part of the challenge, having to use scans (mainly for burrowed units blocking expansion and burrowed infestors)
I would love to see you fly in 2 factories and a command center full of SUVs into the enemy's base, backed up backed up by 5 or so battlecruisers. Then land the factories and start producing Widow mines in their face. While using the scv's to repair the buildings and battle Cruisers. You could even make a planetary Fortress that would be epic
Please do a teaching series, I was master league in WoL but havnt played until I started watching your videos and now have no idea how builds work with all the timings being so much faster because extra worker start and also barely understand stray of new units

New Challenge: The floor is lava. You can only build or move units on platforms/raised areas. Or for maps where that's not feasible, you have to keep them close to buildings when on low ground.
I doubt i am the first to comment this, but you have your hot keys set to clickable so when you right click them, they set whatever you have selected to the hotkey. Thats why the hotkeys are getting deleted 25:08
Watched other dudes vod. He was apparently doing a challenge also, but uthermal would stomp him in a straight fight no contest. Dude is also super toxic and not worthy of any attention uthermal would bring him.
I thought about a build where you hide a bunch of mines in the corners with dropships. And then when the enemy attacks you are drop the minds behind them then hold fire. Like a surprise Widow mine that would be fun
uThermal loves mass cyclones so much despite not winning a game with it, he finally invented a build himself that can be perfectly countered by mass cyclones.
So I had an idea for a challenge. I call it the Tortoise and the Hare. Basically you build a fast planetary to block your main, with a few tanks. Fast units only then finish it off with a toxic build
I think a single tank should be permitted for base defense. So 1 reaper, 5 marines, and 1 tank. It helps you at least defend cheese and all-ins when you are playint a challenge like BC's that require a lot of time to get off the ground.
I have an Idea for a series for the end of the year. "Naughty or Nice" this would be a Christmas themed challenge. You have so many accounts that you can probably give away some MMR. You play on accounts that are done with the challenge. And maybe randomly select a challenge and if you win and they GG out you try to quit before them and gift them the MMR. But if they bm you can just destroy them with anything, removing all challenge.
