Ofc it makes sense. What is the alternative? That the terran made a MISTAKE flying his CC into a cloud of bcs and has to admit it? Not gonna happen haha
There was one game where I got lucky as hell and was called a hacker. Told him yeah in your shoes I would think so also, but you just got stupidly unlucky. He told me to f off and he was going to report me and I stopped feeling guilty about getting so lucky.
I laughed at the irony of Marc at the start of the match talking about the star decal "brightening the mood". The juxtaposition between that and the verbal diarrhea of insults his opponent hurled later made for a good chuckle.
And you were such a good sport to that last player! Complementing them, empathizing with their play. Insane that they ended with such venom. I wish I could see someone reacting to Marc's commentary of their play.
Having a 40mins+ vid makes it easy to organize it as "my daily hour of chill after work" instead of a "oh i have nothing else to do". Great as always, keep up the good work.
@@ContriveAI It's honestly fine, unless the community changed a LOT, most will help me out figure out the new metas and such. I stoped playing back in WoL

Thank you! An option for BC+Mine: Rush mines, to locking-down your main base, while your scouting SCV sets-up a FAR-corner proxy-CC, then proxy Starport there -> BC from corner-location, can retreat back into Mines, retreat again to a PF at your proxy.
I think you're on track with the series thing that you're talking about, I really like the ESL content, I hope you don't neglect that, ESL while choosing from your challenge builds or other hijinx is quite good. Edit: Just finished the third game and was psyched to see more, this episode is really good and I'm quite happy there are more games than I expected
Awesome to get to see longer vids again. Not to mention it's really cool that uThermal wants to help other players become unleashed. Badass term btw and I think it could or maybe should be a segment.
Uthermal2 is great I like the interaction with chat. I don’t have a lot of time to watch twitch but love catching the highlights. Should be a best of your twitch streams, you spend a lot of time on twitch, put the best content from there up and make the most of your time. Ggs
I love watching BC Mine because of the chess game that can be set up! Once you get a reading for how they like to engage and retreat, you can decimate them with waiting mine fields before they can even close for a real fight. Or if you know how hard they'll chase you, just set up traps to run to every time they get fed up and aggressive. It's beautiful lol. Such good mind games.
Really enjoying the longer episodes and deeper focus on each series! Just wish Proxy PF got the same kind of love, but it was unbelievably epic regardless. Keep it up! 🖤
I always loved TLO playing random in a major tournament, then people complained, was spectacular. Random players might not always have the tightest builds but often I find you get some interesting matches with the mismatched timings. Thanks for the content.
33:07 there's another reason people often scan when you scan (which I've noticed you doing as well) which is that now they know you've used the scan and paid the cost, they can do so as well without getting behind.
I love how in that first game Thermy did the build, scouted the all-in and reacted without giving it any conscious thought at all, he was talking about irrelevant stuff the entire time. Sick.
For me, I don't need you to limit your marines that hard for me to enjoy the series. If you're using lots of window mines and BCs, I consider the challenge successful. Ultimately, I'm interested in how these comps can be viable at the highest level, and obviously that will include synergies with other types of units.
For me limiting it does make sense because it highlights the strengths and weaknesses of those units. Being forced to play around those then better demonstrates how to use them
I greatly prefer the longer videos, less often is unavailable if you don't want to burn out. Honestly I'm impressed with just how much content you already make! Loving the second channel, only recently discovered it, but it is well worth checking out, especially if you have been arround long enough to remember the older challenges:)
I love your content. That score counter up top takes up valuable screen real estate. Sometimes the action happens right there. Is there any way to turn that off like after the first minute of each game?
Hi Marc, as you asked on our opinions, you might try something similar to Harstem - He has a different topic/video for the different days of the week. E.g. Monday - BC mine to GM, Tuesday - Planetary rush etc. This way we would know what to expect for each day of the week and you would be able to track our interest on the different topics and challenges.
After the end of the game, can you rewind back to show the good window mine hits that you only watched on the mini map? Isn't it better to split up the mines when walking into their mineral patches, so there's not a safe evacuation route for their probes? (1st game)
The more you move and the more your opponent moves, the more you are likely to come accross each other in the map. I also don't like losing but this tabula rasa unawareness of the situation is what I can't comprehend.
23:29 Can an overlord even place a Nydus further than a mine can shoot? Thermie was moving a bunch of mines around saying "oh we are terrified of a Nydus in the main" (points at dark northern corner of main), but wouldn't a couple of mines be effective, especially if the Nydus poops out a bunch of units in a tight group?
We have a saying: words fly away but what is written stays. So, the whispers at the end will stay forever. I wish he just broke the monitor instead. Sorry for him/her. This reminded me of my 8 mins 8 carriers trial, when the guy blamed me a hacker back in days, starcraft brood war. Great content uthermal, keep pushing!
40 minutes of uthermal? well if you insist :D edit: cool how you're going to focus on doing a couple of series at once on this channel. On your uthermal2 channel as you asked for a bit of feedback, I was a bit confused till I watched some videos from it and they were just as much fun! Could tell the difference as you seemed a bit more relaxed and having fun with chat which was really cool to see plus the wheel which just means you get to revisit past series which was genius move and great to watch. It's like you're good at strategy or something! tl;dr love both channels m8!
Challenge idea: you don’t know what you will do before the game starts. At the load in screen you spin three wheels. A wheel for which unit you can build from barracks, factory, and starport. So you can only have an army composition with one random unit from each production building. The only thing would be you could make one thing that shoots up if you spin ground attack units only and your opponent goes air.
I don’t get it. He saw your swarm of mines and BCs long before the CC got there. Why did he keep flying it in and why did he think you somehow ambushed him by map hacking when he had plenty of time to just reverse direction?
I think the timing of the bc attack coincided with him queing his cc and workers to the expansion. Of course, uthermal is just checking the opponent, and the dude didn't need to fly the cc to certain doom.
Couldn't be preparing the an attack just happened to be at the same time. Has to be he's hacking! He's too good! (In a way he's right, uThernal is way too good to be that MMR lol)
