Never seen Buckethead with a Strat before.
pretty sure this was the guitar shawn lane gave him as to show you dont need anything expensive its all in the player buckethead has only used it a limited amount of times
@@THETOASTYTOASTEROMEGA Never heard that story, and been a Buckethead and Shawn Lane fan since 2008. Where did you hear or read it? I'm not questioning it, but I'm always interested in these kind of little stories.
@@FreeScience i dont exactly remember what video i was watching couldve swore something from buckethead discple or natternet where theres just tons of shit on buckethead
but i dont remember its been alil but i do remember watching a video and something about shawnlane giving him a cheap guitar and to play it live to show the world it dosent mattter the price
honestly sad i cant remember where i saw this or read this it feels true seeing that price tag on that guitar if its not true my appologies forreal gets ya wondering about it doe
@@THETOASTYTOASTEROMEGA still wondering to this day...

2:10 one of the best pick scratches I’ve ever heard. His timing, with the mountain of delay he’s using, perfect🔥
Buckethead really does fly through scale passages on this one, so musical, especially his vibrato.
Straten Marshall yah I just saw this really kicks the runs big time on this one
shawn lane was there. prob wanted to impress him
@@634983 How do you know that?
@@riffermadness96 there's other videos of him on stage with buck. He even sings with buckethead playing
@@634983 Ow shit, haha I knew that, I just didn't realize it was this show. Shawn doing onions vocal and Buckethead crowning Shawn with his bucket was epic.
The moment Shawn Lane realised that student was Master of all
You mean Paul Gilbert I guess ❓
@@davidchristophersequeira3970 Both, Bucket was an actual student of Paul, but Bucket also learned a lot from Shawn Lane and regarded him as one of the best guitar players. It was somewhere on a NatterNet video.
@@davidchristophersequeira3970 Indeed he to is included , well played David
The shape shifter knows no bounds. The performance in Poland is equally stunning.I liken his hand like a hungry Tarantula chasing "fretted" prey across a 🌹 wood landscape.
I feel like this is the best version of this song honestly, i'm mind blown..
Naaa 2018 maaan animal behavior
I second you on that. This is the only version I listen to.
#1 guitarist, always make me feel alive and serene... love you Buckethead!
am I the only one who thinks he sounds awesome on a strat? I love the single coil neck pickup sound.
I like his les paul it sounds bigger in my opinion even if he splits the coils. But the giant robot shows that the guitar is not that important the style of the player makes the difference.
he sounds good on whatever lol, but year i agree
Yeah I think it sounds great, especially for this song. It's also funny to see him play a normal size guitar. He makes it look like a little toy lol. There is a reason he plays it on this song specially though, if you look at certain parts he has to stretch his pinky like 4 frets across
He plays so good, its like he doesn't even try, god, he's a god. He is god.
I see Buckethead for the second time in two days. I haven't been this excited in a very long time. Its gonna be 12 hours driving well spent
The dynamics of every note was unbelievably perfect best live performence ive every seen from Buckethead
If i as a human being just got told all of humanity was to end tomorrow and I only had one way to message a human from the future about what it means , why it all matters , and who are we , it would be me slaying this guiar solo till the end. And id embrace the end.
I really like it when Bucky plays with a full band....its so much more powerful and emotional.....this song still ripps me up.
ME TO MAN, ME TOO! best of all time for me
@@NlCKELODEON Indeed DJ....Be the Bucket
@@simone4993 Nothing compares to the feeling and emotion of playing with a real band! As a guitar player myself ( thanks to Buckethead) Especially when it comes to improvising, ideas and things just COME! perhaps the unknown little switch ups or imperfections of humans but its the way music is meant to be heard! Real instruments, live! Even though I do share my passion for EDM music as a side gig! haha cheers pal! Your comment aged well, I think thats my point I wanted to get across!
@@NlCKELODEON Indeed DJ well said.We are like minded musicians
honing are craft and live is the way to go.
Organic live response beats all.A great comment you have made.
Cheers DJ.

@@simone4993 Rock on man!!
I get goosebumps at 3:34 every time, Buckethead becomes so bad ass at that point with that strong tone and the harsh motion of his hands while picking the string for it
Dreamy, ethereal, hypnotic addictive. All the good stuff. You are a wonderful and generous gift
Yeah, Frackle123, I've recently started to get into buckethead's playing, listening to mainly his old stuff... and it's like he absorbed the knowledge and ability of shredding, but didn't sacrifice his musical sensitivity. The melodies that he crafted in his early years simply blow my mind and touch my heart.
The new stuff is some of his best yet. Out of the roughly 45 albums to come out in the last 12 - 15 months there's like 15 of them that are just unreal. Check out Telescape, Hold me Forever, Claymation Courtyard, or Pike 43. There's tons more, but check those.

Monsieur 'Rabbit...
That was a very nice thing to say.
RARE .
Iam leaving my comment to leave a repository for myself that i can see years after which will remind me again that i love listening buckethead!
Cheers!
I was 15 years old when i was showed this, coincidentally i was also high of psychedelics for the first time. This song has to be the most beautiful, underrated and under appreciated song in history ever the only thing crazier than his playing is this doesn't have a million views.
I genuinely think this is the greatest guitar performance of the last 30 years if not all time
An excellent rendition.
Feel obligated to come back to this gem every single day
Are you fuckin kidding?...just crazy talented...and a Strat'....."we're not worthy!"😁😁
3:00 clearly this guitar is way too small for him
Buckethead!! Long lost owner of my TH-cam channel 111Buckethead
He is such a good teacher ! Teaching with out saying anything , what a true master .
I love how normal sized guitars look like toys on him cause hes so big, it just cracks em up every time hes not using his custom les paul.
shredfaster , looks like he’s playing Guitar Hero 😂
wow, cool to see him with a strat!
First time I saw him with a stratocaster! :P
Best solo since Eddie at US Festival in '83.
This is the greatest Animal Behavior he's ever played, 2nd being at Lewis and Clark
Holy shit its a fucking strat !!!!! Thanks buckethead for rocking it for us stratoheads
Must be a super strat. It's strange seeing him play it. I wasn't even sure it was Bucket until I saw Pinch on the kit. Good stuff.
Jamie Shaffer it is probably a squier affinity strat hss
could be a srting used to mute the tusk behind the nut
@Erich Klein when it shines in the light it looks scratched and played as hell so it could be a much older one
@Erich Klein There's a interview from this year where he says he rent 2 mesa's to play this concert, so probably the guitar is rented too
@Erich Klein I'll comment the link here, just a sec
his first electric guitar was a modified kramer strat... and he wore a steelers jacket for like 4 years+ from 02-06 or so
Really strange to see BH on a 25.5 inch scale. His enormous fingers make the Strat look like a child's guitar. No wonder he chose to stretch a Les Paul out until it screamed.
Me and my friends called pinchface two days ago, he a realtor in California now. When we called we asked if he missed playing with everyone and we could tell he was ashamed of himself, he answered “Yeah... no. That was ages ago.” I’m sure he was thinking back to when he would be screaming on stage and acting like a madman and he’s embarrassed of himself haha. Poor guy just wants to sell property and not be known for his stage acts.
whats his number? how did you get it?
BucketheadFan230 my friend tucker got it somehow but here’s his number. 909 969 3902. Keep in mind it is a business number so he may or may not be annoyed. He sounded so depressed when we asked him
@@rocheman3771 thank you so much! i just looked up his real names and did some deep searching and it said he hasnt sold a house in 12 months. I feel bad for him. Did he say anything else? Why he chose to be a realtor?
BucketheadFan230 No, he didn’t talk long, we didn’t want to waste that much of his time. The conversation pretty much went like this:
“Hello?”
“Hi I was wondering if we could have a moment of your time”
“May I ask who’s calling”
“Brian”(tucker didn’t wanna say his real name for some reason)
“Ok brian, go ahead”
“Ok so, do you miss playing with *insert band name here* (I couldn’t remember if it was praxis or something else)
“Ah... well, yeah no, that was ages ago”
“Ah okay I was just wondering, sorry.”
“It’s alright”
“Have a good day”
@@rocheman3771 wow
Its weird seeing Buckethead playing a Stratocaster, but its still cool watching him play one.
scratch that, every fucking note is mindblowing
This is THE BEST performance of this song. Mind blowing ! TNX for the better audio, dude.
wow, have only seen him do these tunes on his 2018 tour so sweet
I Love This!I remember that whole year like yesterday
I come back to this one every month and wonder how he makes that shit guitar sound so good
Holy crap. My go to beach music now. This video. Remaster so niiiice...
I like the way he plays blues in the end..
David Gilmour should have him as a guest in one of his concerts imagine the two together
4:07 did he hybrid pick here? holy fuck
Ha.. looks like ...Bucks playing a squire with a pawn shop tag.
beautiful...
4:48 en adelante no puede ser tan prefecto solo
Makes me wonder how good he was even 27 years ago
You can tell Buck was nervous at this show because Shawn Lane was watching him from behind the stage.
+Joshgts it's true.
+Joshgts he was in the audience, at least.
shawn was backstage watching buck play
You should watch the whole concert then
+Tuco Ramirez Yeah bro he was really scared. He really wanted to impress Lane. Watch Welcome To Bucketheadland from the same set. Also really good version of Jowls, with Shawn Lane doing Onions' parts!
Yep. There's a good reason he's one of the worlds fastest shredders
Jimi Hendrix is now proud of Buckethead
love this the original line up
the best thing about buckethead is when the lifeless figure becomes alive or shows emotion, that's how his music gets you. like at 3:34 i feel like god just bitchslapped me with his rock-guitar
this was in his prime he was to dirty here, i would have killed to been at this concert
He plays it like he's using it like a buzzsaw to shred the audience to bits. From what I have read his inspiration does come from dark places. Nevertheless I am his biggest fan and respect his process. Even though it may involve watching hardcore porn in a chicken coop in the studio.
Hmmm.. good idea!))))
That story is false
wow seeing the bucket with a strat is weird.. well... seeing buckethead is weird... well... i'm weird
Man I hear so much of Lane's influence in this
This strat is really small in his hands!
I think I read somewhere he broke his ESP during a concert in frustration because it was way too small for him, it was an interview I found
9thmaster completely incorrect. He did break it but that’s a completely wrong story 🤣🤦🏻♂️
@@maxwellwinter2114 whats the story bro
Daaaaaamn
@GrayGuitarz either this or the "Interworld and the New Innocence" from 1999 (i think >
0:22 perfection
0:00 - 5:41 is my favorite part
Cooley better recognize Bucketheads playing.
Jesus Christ, my face just set on fire.
i want to buy a strat just for this
tapPOOH love the cover you did ...not bad
i want this on cd :/
the short clip on the transmutation album is too short for my desires.
❤️❤️🤘
I was lookin' for this vid, i gues the only vid on youtube with buckethead on a strat!
do we own more? post a (video) response please!
i wonder if he still has that black sunburst strat, IMO it's worth ALOT!!
I don't know. In some of his other older videos, like the backyard soloing, he sticks with his more traditional sarod picking style. Although in this video there do appear some instances where he reverts back to that style. It is a bit hard to tell sometimes though as his hands are moving just that fast.
immortal
i've never seen him without his navy sweatshirt or yellow rain jacket.
4:10 #Wow #😏
@Fimafengr I assume you mean the plectrums? I remember a video with Shawn Lane talking about using them in the 90s, though I can't quite remember which video I saw him say that in.
3 people somehow thought this wasn't incredible enough for them
it feels really bad to lose something as that. i too lost a few buckethead favorites. its pretty disappointing and a big let down to lose footage that might not ever be seen again.
big luck in finding it, and if you do, please link me :))
IF it weren't for those hands and their amazing skill with his sound, I wouldn't believe this is Buck. weird bucket, extra poofy hair, Super Bowl sweat, Fender, and a different picking style. What happened at this show?
shit man, this was almost 15 years ago.
ontariobuds nearly 20 now.
Listen to the one with praxis at Poland
haha he looks so young. BH = the shit
lets help Big B pay His rent, buy His Music...
Yea, I've listened to it before, nothing touches this performance though
Judge SoundCloud 👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Weird seeing him play a Strat it looks like a Toy guitar 🎸 on him as he’s so big 😂
Did i just hear someone sy Go Brian Go..?? I know all the back stories on youtube about whos BucketHead.. really i personally think people needs to respect his wishes about concealing his identity. I first ever watched video of him i went straight back thinking of one of my BEST EVER BAND KISS.
When they first came out in 1973, i was 9 and me an my cuz always jammed on them infact we had every album and pisters on posters now when i seen BucketHeads videos i instantly ranked him on top as best guitarist ever played, yea we know Hendrix was great, as Eddie Van Haylen, SRV, zeppelin, Ace Frehley. Yea i know i said kiss is my best band to me and still is really. But im sorry.. BucketHead is on top and lets not forget Randy Rodes but..yea.. BucketHeads on top of my list..plus its very complicated unless you really see sheet music on learning his style.. me.. im drummer since 11 yrs old but liked to learn guitar but small fingers..lol unlike him he's got advantage mst if not al people loved to have..lol.. i always had this saying when i sign off on comments and that is "KEEP ON KEEPIN ON!" I would like to see him writing material around this title because it really reflects on him really because why?? Well its because he always KEEP ON KEEPING ON!! Love to see an hear him write around that title.
@Situious I actually like this version too because of the DJs scratching here and there. BH was nonetheless spot on as usual
@Situious i actually like Lewis and Clark's version better than Wetlands. Buckethead was perhaps, his FASTEST in Lewis&Clark 3:37 that descending scale and the shredding that follows. SO FAST. Probably as fast as MAB, a little faster maybe. but at 3:53, he really felt it
He's not really a Strat man is he. The huge white baritone looks and sounds so much better. Still incredible though. Jesus.
He played the hell out of that guitar!
@tapPOOH I feel the same way, its only like $600 so it is pretty tempting :)
shawn lane was at the audience ? :P
yeah, man! you are right! But why he switched between strat and esp?
It's a shame, there was another video of this song being played in the wetlands I believe. It was just a picture of Buckethead with the audio playing, but it was one of my favorites. Unfortunately the user removed the video and I haven't been able to find any trace of that version since. Does anyone have any info as to where i could find this? It was about 8-9 minutes long, any info would be appreciated.
@mikeguitar41 where did you read this? That's be something I'd be interested in reading.
2:12 - 2:20 my favorite part...
@michiganboy10 Yup.
@spiderstrat75 The Pricetag, Most people guess that he just rent it for that show because of unknown Reasons.
@AngelOfNight9 Shawn Lane?
he switched to strat only for animal behaviour i think, maybe he liked the start tone for this song .
hes less paul is like 15% bigger than a normal one
