Discovered Big B. five years ago. My wife had end stage kidney disease and was on dialysis when I discovered Buckethead. I wouldn't be here without this music. It's therapy. Miss you baby. Love you.
Praxis at its absolute best. Buckethead is darker than usual here, and his tone is top notch, '96 was his best year tone wise in my opinion. The combination of buckethead's avant guitar, Laswell's dub/jazz groove, old school hip hop from mmm and disk, and dxt's creepy keys and trippy industrial voice scratches is unparalleled in aesthetic. Laswell's mind is amazing.
Mazic I think his les Paul just takes over to much, takes to much of his emotion away. It does have cool toys on it but I would much rather FEEL bucket. This old stripped down lady he's playing right now just needs to be turned up and I promise you could feel him breathing in your ear
This might be the best version. It might be the greatest thing ever in the history of the world. Its hard to listen to other music when I can listen to this guy. Just so far beyond everyone. Just so much better than anything else I've heard. Really Tools new album is the only other music I've listened to in the past five years. Fear is another masterpiece for Tool. I highly recommend it.
I love how timeless his music is. This was in '96 and I thought for a sec this was from '09. Satriani, Vai, and Yngwie are all great guitarists but they never have been able to captivate me as much as buckethead has.
This is so deep.... From starting to end each n everything.....I especially liked the ending part from 4:35 onwards ....those scrappings add meaning to it man.... just magnificent ❤️
I just wanted to say hello to my adorable and super talented friend maro or maro maro in poland.i was at this show with the incredible mr.head and i love poland.continue success maro.you are a star and thank you for sending your album, the inter galactic jaunt.you have made bri,bh very proud
Amazing stuff. This proves having keyboardists and scratchers can really add texture to the sound of a band. We also saw this in other bands Buckethead has been in like Giant Robot and El Stew.
i have no words to describe it... just... beautiful, amazing... goddam, i'd give anything to see Bucket in Poland now. I was just three when he was there with Praxis... after i'd see him i can die.
wish i was there in polska... never been to warszawa but been all over southern poland. man. hard to believe buckethead was in poland in the first place
I miss the Buckethead of the 80's and 90's. Nowadays he just escapes back to that signature-lick when shredding and does nothing else. This is so much more innovative and just... beautiful. I never thought I'd say that shredding could be an absolutely beautiful piece of pure music, so full of emotion. But this is, the early Buckethead was. Bucket, we want this back. What happened to all this? You still make good music but, there's something missing. Buckethead, we want YOU back!
This is how you make music. This requires actual skill and hard work to master the instrument, and it requires even more skill and work to put them all together to create a great song. Nowadays kids under the influence of pop culture "rap" over an instrumental and put it on soundcloud and call that "talent"
years ago, driving across the far north (Alaska 2003) I spotted a Kentucky Fried chicken bucket out in the tundra. I apprised the passenger (an Alaska Native) my drive to not only retrieve but to actually wear this bucket as a headdress. Needless to say, this moment is lost to the "average" citizen. Amen
It's probably played in D Aeolian (natural minor). He just plays his guitar tuned half a step down. So tonally, it's C#m, but in a correctly tuned fretboard view, it would be Dm.
WOW!!!! What an amazing video! "Transmutation" May be my all time favorite album, and this outro to 'Animal Behavior' is just beautiful. The person who filmed this really captured the essence of the performance, I feel like I'm there with them. Does anyone know more about this concert? What was the venue? Praxis seem to be virtually unknown here in North America, I find it strange to see them playing a packed venue in Poland.
@nirvana911 Yeah that makes sense. Although then the question remains; "What happened along the way to make him lose that spark which he had in his early years?" He may've been slightly affected by getting older but not to such a degree that changed this into what he does when soloing and improvising now.
The drummer's name is also Brian, but they call him Brain, Brain Mantia. Him and Buckethead have been friends for many many years. Having a song on Guitar Hero II was the best thing Buckethead has ever done for his career. before that the only people that knew about his music were practicing shred guitarist.
Praxis is Bill Laswell Buckethead Brain Music beyond borders Time doesn't exist Space is unlimited The mind is free to wander the universe at ease (!) 🕉
Haha, well if you would want to play along, or if you are simply an interested musician, it's kinda fun to know what he's really playing. You get inspired by his playing and kinda want to take what's good in it and add to your own, that gets a lot easier with scales.
there was one. its out of print now. im sure you can find it somewhere online: Buckethead -Offiicial LiveCD 2004-7-3 The Catalyst, Santa Cruz California
It's amazing how relaxed he is on stage. Oh, and to anyone who says that guitar is blue; just go watch wetlands concert. It's definitely purple. Or "Buckethead breaks his guitar" video.
Discovered Big B. five years ago. My wife had end stage kidney disease and was on dialysis when I discovered Buckethead. I wouldn't be here without this music. It's therapy. Miss you baby. Love you.
So sorry brother stay strong
Stay strong brother
This could very well be the best song I've ever heard in my entire life. Speechless.
It's my favorite song of all time.
Probably my favorite song of all time as well.
Music wont get better than this song and this live version
Favorite song
Hard to believe this Buckethead master piece was 20 years ago
almost 25..
24 years now
Nawet dzisiaj jest najlepszy🤟🙂
Pushing 30 now
I actually like the bad audio quality, it has something to it
Sio Snarf i've found that the quality allows your ears to focus on what really matters. The music
The same can be said for the live version of scraps from ’96
If i were ever to see buckethead in person Id break down crying telling him thank you for the music he has created for us. keep on rocking buck
That was truly the most honest comment I have seen any where
I do that every day at home.
@Michael King You seem like a very lonely person
I cant listen to this without crying.
One of the greatest, soul touching pieces of art music. Goose bumps every single time! Love how 'Brain' (Bryan Mantia) plays so intense
Mazic yup awsome the mix is perfect buckethead always nails it guy talent is key and his heart is always in his song and emotion
Personally I think Bucket sounded best playing this ESP. I was never a fan of his Les Paul tone.
Mazic I think his les Paul just takes over to much, takes to much of his emotion away. It does have cool toys on it but I would much rather FEEL bucket. This old stripped down lady he's playing right now just needs to be turned up and I promise you could feel him breathing in your ear
Mazic makes me cry. 6-3 205 trainer. Beauty beyond compare. Listen at sunrise on beach and leave the ground...
Mazic Yes it is. Another plane
Music like this is what defines happiness for me more than anything else right now.
Agree!
Somtimes around wakeup there is a mixture of bh´s music in my dreams and create pure happiness in my mind, yeah!
What a fantastic uplifting comment...well said.
W Polsce nie mieli pojęcia, że gra najlepszy gitarzysta Świata Bucketheadland😉
BEAUTIFUL ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
MrPyroclasm yes.
This might be the best version. It might be the greatest thing ever in the history of the world. Its hard to listen to other music when I can listen to this guy. Just so far beyond everyone. Beyond amazing. Words cannot do this masterpiece justice.
Aww, he looks so much younger.
He looks so cool😉🤟
Lol
😆😎🐐
😂😂😂😂😂
This is beautiful
I love how timeless his music is. This was in '96 and I thought for a sec this was from '09. Satriani, Vai, and Yngwie are all great guitarists but they never have been able to captivate me as much as buckethead has.
He still is playing at a high level, but these 90's shows....alien shred + virtuoso turntables + performance art = his greatest era
Poland and the World wasn't ready for this in '96, still grateful it happened though. 🤘🏻❤
Man, the bucket looked soo much better with that axe..
Always gives me chills down my spine of how amazing this song is , it's probably downright the best song I think.ever made , makes me want to cry 😢
Genius!I love it.I was at this show and it was amazing.I love Poland
What an awesome song and performance =) 1996 was a really good year for Buckethead and Praxis.

Wow BH in Europe!!
i love 0:08, the toy and then his guitar coming up. this is definitely one of his best performances of this song
As a huge bucket fan, I must say this is one of my favorite videos on youtube. Please never take it down!
hands made of magic that guy.
This is so deep.... From starting to end each n everything.....I especially liked the ending part from 4:35 onwards ....those scrappings add meaning to it man.... just magnificent ❤️
Love You Buckethead. You and your music saved My life. Thank You so much. Long and good life for You.
Really don't believe this only has 80,000 views...
It's by far the sweetest song I have ever heard.

this has gotta be my favorite performance of this song, the drummer and djs are killing too.
I can't stop listening to this beautiful masterpiece thank you praxis for this gift
Beautiful. Hard to believe Buckethead was in Poland in '96. Too bad I didn't know of his existence back then.
One of his best live performances bar none!
Yeah Brian never disappoints, AMAZING!!!!!!!! 🎸😎.
The scratches and the whole ambiance with the 2 turntables really fit in ....
I liked right at the end ...no no
lol awesome
This was the day I was born
Quite an auspicious beginning. Good luck with the rest!
Wow, excellent live performance! I wanna live in Bucketheadland^^

@GlennWujo actually this is the outro to Animal Behavior, which was called Transmutation 5 on the Zurich album which is taken from this show
Aww yes buckethead makes every drummer come alive
Oh mds que lindo 😍👏😢
I wish this could go on forever >>€
Amazing stuff. This proves having keyboardists and scratchers can really add texture to the sound of a band. We also saw this in other bands Buckethead has been in like Giant Robot and El Stew.
Very cool. He quickly leaves those djs in the dust when he breaks out that "voyager flow" Amazing, really.
thanks for shareing this awsome performance jedis, much appreciated!
Unbelievable it’s so many years ago and it still sounds so fresh, so good, so eternal. I came here from Axiom Ambient, another milestone in music.
i have no words to describe it... just... beautiful, amazing... goddam, i'd give anything to see Bucket in Poland now. I was just three when he was there with Praxis... after i'd see him i can die.
another great song
wish i was there in polska... never been to warszawa but been all over southern poland. man. hard to believe buckethead was in poland in the first place
the only guitarist to give me chills.
If the world is on its way into oblivion, at least let this incarnation of Praxis play the last set...
I miss the Buckethead of the 80's and 90's. Nowadays he just escapes back to that signature-lick when shredding and does nothing else. This is so much more innovative and just... beautiful. Bucket, we want this back. What happened to all this? You still make good music but, there's something missing.
Buckethead, we want YOU back!
INCREIBLE !!! Que tremenda rola y que tremendos músicos todos en conjunto con buckethead!!!
This is how you make music. This requires actual skill and hard work to master the instrument, and it requires even more skill and work to put them all together to create a great song. Nowadays kids under the influence of pop culture "rap" over an instrumental and put it on soundcloud and call that "talent"
Simply beautiful, magical and epic \m/ Brain and Buckethead rules =)
This is an amazing bass line, dude

I apprised the passenger (an Alaska Native) my drive to not only retrieve but to actually wear this bucket as a headdress. Needless to say, this moment is lost to the "average" citizen. Amen
i'm not surprised Buckethead didn't stay with guns and roses very long...that's not his kind of music
1:30 brian & brain soul
4:41-5:01
So soft, so warm, just so so many feelings
top version !!! :-)
It's probably played in D Aeolian (natural minor). He just plays his guitar tuned half a step down. So tonally, it's C#m, but in a correctly tuned fretboard view, it would be Dm.
Woww... almost 20 years since
Bh forever!
this is in 96? Wow, sounds like '06! Amazing!
@stealthyyyyyy and Transmutation 5 is the outro to Animal Behavior.
WOW!!!! What an amazing video! "Transmutation" May be my all time favorite album, and this outro to 'Animal Behavior' is just beautiful.
The person who filmed this really captured the essence of the performance, I feel like I'm there with them.
Does anyone know more about this concert? What was the venue?
Praxis seem to be virtually unknown here in North America, I find it strange to see them playing a packed venue in Poland.
wow imagine if this same performance happened at the 2012 grammys or mtv music awards or something, everyone watching would be blown away as i am.
@nirvana911 Yeah that makes sense. Although then the question remains; "What happened along the way to make him lose that spark which he had in his early years?" I still can't believe how bad ass this is.

This band was beyond its years.
Haha, well if you would want to play along, or if you are simply an interested musician, it's kinda fun to know what he's really playing. You get inspired by his playing and kinda want to take what's good in it and add to your own, that gets a lot easier with scales.
He is like 26 here, so talented
BH is the whole universe of emotions....can anyone suggest me the songs of same emotion and intensity
I was today's year old when I realized I've listened to buckethead for 2 decades. 😅😅😅
there was one. its out of print now. im sure you can find it somewhere online:

It's amazing how relaxed he is on stage. Oh, and to anyone who says that guitar is blue; just go watch wetlands concert. It's definitely purple. Or "Buckethead breaks his guitar" video.
Just like Shawn Lane, Staring out listening for that sound. Chilling performance
