Omg! I watched your video and fix the damn problem MYSELF!!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼got the plastic pry tools, took it apart like you instructed, Cleaned the connections, greased them and tighten up the back piece and now all of the numbers with ac are working!! Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. YOU ARE THE MAN!!! I can't thank you enough! 2Ts
I had this problem for a long time and today I gave it a try. I’m so happy it worked! Thanks a lot dude! It was barely working on 4 and was going off randomly when car shakes. Now it works really well from 2-4 which I’m really thankful for in this hot summer 🥵
Hell yes!! Did you add the grease? If it only works on 2-4 you can try to clean it more and get that grease on there you might be able to fix it 100%. Glad it’s helping.
@@badass1g I used the grease but I was hesitant of putting a lot so I just put small layer. Maybe that’s the reason, but I never even used 0-1 so it doesn’t make much difference for me 😃 Thanks a lot man 💯
Me too watcher your video took it apart mine wasn't burnt like yours just dial piece was loose reinstalled it and it worked but 1 was 4 and 4 was off lol...I can live with that I was stuck on 2 😅
So, to get to the core, there are lots of steps. This thing is like one of those nesting dolls! Taking this apart, cleaning the connections, and applying the grease didn't work for me. There was melted plastic and bent metal. None available at the junk yard. Ordered one for $220 from Hyundai, waited 6 days and now I'm fixed up. This video oversimplifies the job but I appreciate the tip about the plastic prying tools.
Great video, yours was in much worse shape than mine. Little tip, stretch out the spring inside the switch just a bit to make sure that the contacts are fully engaging.
No, if the air is always cold then that means your blend door system isn’t working properly. The switch that changes the temperature from hot to cold is in charge of that. If it’s a digital temp adjustment setup then it could be the computer inside the unit. If it’s a mechanical hot to cold adjuster then there is likely a broken connection behind the unit. Go watch the video I just made and posted about the Nissan Sentra that shows exactly what’s going on.

In my car all the positions work, but the air is always cold, could this fix it?
