    I have gone thru 3 panels off of eBay and got a quote from a Hyundai dealership that wanted $850 to fix it on my daughters Veloster. All Ebay panels burned out within weeks of installation. Hyundai dealership said they would also be putting a used panel in since it’s not made anymore.
    Ran across your video and ordered your parts. Now she’s up and running with heat and ac. Thanks so much for posting.

    Just ordered everything. I’ve been through 4 switches in mine during the year and a half I’ve had it. Just happened again and I’m tired of buying used panels. This is a project car that’s already been frankensteined a bunch so this will add even more character! Thanks!

    Thank you for this fix.. Simple and effective.. Spent far too much money on these stupid panels already. Appreciate your video, it was an absolute life saver!

    Mine burned out as I left on a trip to alanta georgia from florida. Thank god the windows dont get choppy at high speeds but this is the best solution that I have found. Thank you sir for the fine video.

    Had the same issue on a 2012, bought the factory switch and it fried 4 months later. Hyundai was not helpful and their customer service denied that this is a design flaw. Followed this idea and it works perfectly. Now it's a true CUSTOM.

    I can't thank you enough! I just bought this car Friday and they dropped the price 2K because it was on a Chevrolet lot. They weren't about to try to fix this. And I also have to put the steering wheel coupler in. To feel cold air and know I don't have an AC condenser problem as well is huge!! Thank you

      Your welcome, I also put in the steering coupler. It was pretty straightforward, not too difficult.

    Alright I am about to try and diy with this video! Wish me luck. Got all the supplies and plan on trying it out this week. For my Veloster, it's just the cold air that won't work anymore. The knob is working in between the numbers but barely. Last summer was awful. Hopefully I can get it to work and not mess anything up in the process!

    When you had this issue did the heat not work either? Like it didn't blow for either ac or heat?

    • @h67driver
      @h67driver  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both heat and A/C were affected the same because the issue was the rotary knob that sets the blower speed. The heater and A/C both worked but you just couldn’t adjust the speed of the blower. Only position 1 & 2 would work.

    • @h67driver
      @h67driver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wires reached the left one pretty easily. I used the left because I wanted the the switch to be closer to the driver.

    • @h67driver
      @h67driver  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@isabelleepperson2799 You have to crimp them. You can buy an actual stand alone crimping tool or if you already have some wire cutters sometimes is has the capability to crimp also.
