@@jeremycanterohioprospecting Hehe, thanks! Even the little gold gets me pumped up. The challenge is what really does it for me and when I finally find what I am looking, is quite satisfying!
What an awesome feeling that must be finding those nuggets. I've been out prospecting with a pan and bucket chasing a childhood dream. Applying everything I've picked up from your videos, getting discouraged because all I was finding was fly poop no one else could see. Then I finally got a taste of what "Right" looks like because I couldn't stop smiling after finding my first line of gold in my pan. The fever is real. Now I have a dredge setup and can't wait to really try and find some real weight. I don't even know you but the three P's( patients, persistents and perseverance) really stands out to me. Thank you again for all the past videos and letting us tag along for your adventures.
I'm so happy for you Gabriel! When things finally click and you get on the gold the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment are amazing! The 3 P's are real, you have got to really want that gold! OOoh, you are going to love the dredge. The first time you see gold underwater will get you hooked! Best up luck out there, keep up and faith and fill up that gold vial!!🙌
D I believe your dad was there with you when you found those nuggets . You the man! Keep up the great adventures . Your dad is smiling right now. Nugget fever!!
Nothing like twizzlers and metal detecting..one of my favorite combos...congrats on the nuggets....I sorry to hear about your dad and totally agree about we got to live while we can...I lost my mother in law and best friend a month apart just over a year ago and have had some encounters with animals that remind me of them...that drive you have reminds me on how I get when hyper focusing on a "mission"...I'm glad you had an awesome time out there and glad you made it home safe.
Right! A twizzler after a long exhausting day just hit the spot out there in the desert! Hyper focus, obsession is right. If you are not in the correct mindset, you will not find gold while metal detecting. sorry to hear about you loss Adam. Life is short and we really should do what, while we still can. All the Best my friend.
Persistence pays off when detecting. You really show that you just don't go out and work for 5 minutes and get gold. Thanks for showing what a true does to find an Arizona piece of nice gold.😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
I am glad you said that Chuck. A lot of times we make prospecting look easy...which it is not, especially metal detecting. Patience, persistence, perseverance, knowledge, the correct mindset and good ground is what it takes! Not counting travel, prep etc. it took 4 full days, completely devoted to detecting to come up with those 2 pieces.
I think you picked a good time to go...personally I would rather be a little cold then be too hot and risk running into a snake! Did you end up checking all the washes you intended to in that area?
I scanned most of the washes in this area. There are so many and you just never really know which ones might produce. This was the perfect time of year to go: mostly dormant critters, good temperatures and a decent amount of daylight!
Congratulations on the nugget. I got a 1/2 gram nugget first time out with my gold bug 2. I seem to have a hard time with ground balance with my new 10 inch coil. Don't understand why.
Wow, congrats on the nug Geno! The gb2 can be really noisy in high mineral ground. Make sure you are not in audio boost when ground balancing, that can be problematic.
My understanding is that you do not need cell phone reception to get GPS signals on a cell phone. You just aren't able to get map imagery on something like Google Maps with your data connection.
Just bought a gold bug 2 off of ebay for 500$ both coils included. Can't wait, I was using a bounty hunter tracker IV and of course never found gold cause it was only 7khz. It could detect .3g nug (i thad a nug to test with) but it had to have the small round coil to detect it and within half an inch. So not ideal for gold hunting. This is like going from a bicycle to a Harley.
You are losing efficiency on that GB2 the way you have the cable wrapped loosely, and doubling back. It should be tightly wrapped, evenly spaced. Also ditch that huge coil and just use the 6 inch.
@@ColoradoGoldCamp ask Tesla for exact explanation lol. It basically has to do with the electromagnetic field within the wire crossing itself when you double back. When you are trying to find a small picker, it Might make a difference. I learned a long time ago to keep the wire tight. Good point...There must be a good reason why the wire is so long on ALL detectors, instead of a straight shot from coil to machine. That's probably why It's so important to keep it clean. By the way, I see why you use bigger coil. Just covers more ground.
way to go!.....don't try brenda az. you think you had hot rocks, brenda is nothing but a hot rock. the wife and i looked for 3 months there and nothing!!
I just bought a MINELAB Nox 800 Dialing it in in my yard with salted gold and coins Going out this next weekend Sure would like to buy you a beer and pick your brain someday!!!!
Cactus sucks! My poor daughter had a horse duck out from under her in the middle of a cactus patch. We spent the next 45 minutes picking cactus outta her. Poor kid, her pants were pinned to her leg w cactus. She had cactus work out of her hand & leg for day &like a month or so later
Nice on that Arizona gold good job dude 🤟
It felt soooo good Jeremy! I needed that gold boost, thanks!
I'm also digging the energy that you put off every time you find gold 🤟 Good vibes awesome keep up the good work dude. ✌️

Right on guy! 🎉 Without a wrap on your coils I wonder if black sands got in between the coil cover and coil. That was cool about the hawk.
Thanks Rob, it was quite special. I replaced the coil cover later in the trip and siliconed around the top edge to keeps stuff out.
Well done! Amazing how finding a tiny tidbit can rally you for hours! Done the same with a cactus, ouch!
It really is! That gold sure has a way of lighting a fire under ya! It seems like everything in the desert is sharp!
@@ColoradoGoldCamp or even a nice lil gemstone! We have our share of sharp objects to fall on in Colorado as well! Cheers my prospecting friend!

This sounds about right. With my GPX 6000, I have to turn all devices off to limit EMI.
NIce job getting some shinny, good luck
Thanks Diggin, still got 5 more to go to hit my goal.
I think if you next time bring a pinpointer will be useful. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Eduardo. I have used a pinpointer while detecting with a PI👍
Good work sir!

How does a hard rock miner not have hard rock tools? Good finds!
They are heavy Ron, you know this ;) My pack was loaded with layers, 2 water bottles, food, batteries and minimal tools....heavy! I made a compromise.

Possibly a tiny bit. Do you have a scientific explanation for why they make the coil wires so long?

I watched this again. I don't think that's a snake skin. I think it was a delicate piece of natural Arizona fried pig skin. 😜
