A great find for you. Good points about premix and oil injection. Fyi, Most oil injection pumps can be rebuilt with new seals and springs. An easy project. The following is very important! When reviving an old two stroke, the first thing you need to do is a leak-down test of the engine. This tests the health of your crank seals, head gasket, base gaskets, and intake seals. Air leaks will destroy a two stroke engine quickly, by causing excessive lean air/fuel mixture. Do not trust 50 year old seals and gaskets! Do not learn the hard way! Your check book will thank you.😊
I add a little 2 stroke oil into my petrol tank as well as the oil injection system working and my moped is fine. It's a Kymco Agility 50. About 70-1 premix with the injection system working as well. It doesn't smoke too much either.
thank you for this awesome educational video,so you were saying that you were using the premix but you forgot to disconnect the oil line or cable so thats why it was smoking like hell' i dont know much and i just bought a yamaha dt100 enduro and i was thinking of doing the premix too but maybe i can just drain the oil pump container to stop it from pumping right ?thank you so much.......
@@romeparrilla8307 no, I ran the pre-mix while it brought it back to like to make sure the oil injection system was working correctly. If the oil injection fails, or does not work and you fire up an old bike from a long slumber, they will most likely seize
Hey, I have an identical tc185 and I'm trying to replace the throttle cable. I can't figure out how to unhook the cable in the oil injector. Any suggestions?
I have a ke125 1978 and the last owner deleter the oil resvior and ran 50 to 1 pre mix but i wanna know if i can get it started with pre mix and if it safe to use or u need to have it injection bike been sitting for a 2 year since last ran
You can bypass the auto oiler on any of these bikes and run pre-mix. I usually do that but this was to nice and original to modify and it happened to work.
First, dont bypass the cci sysrem! You will smoke your crank bearing because it also oils that with no other way to oil it........second that super high hanging idle tells me your running super lean...adjust your air fuel screw to richen it up

On the sushi is you just don't just bypass the oil injection as it also provides oil to the crank bearing!
thanks
What kind of oil do you use in the oil injection system? I have a ts 250 1974 I use to use CCI
30 wt. by suzuki.
But how do adjust how much oil gets into the cylinder mines a 72 and it smokes quite a bit more than yours did

Auto oilers also oil the crank bearings
