  • In this video we look at the Switch Node found in Unreal Engine’s Sound Cue, switching between two types of loop for Bullet Time and Normal Time.
Switches are really useful for changing the audio when we have different states, allowing us to instantly change what's playing based on whatever data we want to use.
When we move, time moves. When we move, the audio changes.

Actually for this will be better to just change pitch of sounds. Shorter and scalable

Sorry for the noob question, but... What is it called when you have a clip of music, or a sound to accent a reveal of something?
Loike when someone in a horror movie is outside, and something runs past the camera... that sharp stroke of strings and a trumpet. Or when people enter a room, and they see a trap. etc.
I am searching for those types of sounds, but have no Idea what to search for.
When I search "sound cue" or "music cue" I get cow sounds. :(

That's a sting or stinger! :) It can be better to build your own so it matches the speed of what's happening on the screen.

how could i do this with a sound effect playing in the animation graph, so when i get a critical hit the weapon makes a different noise?

Hey Elijah, it would be the same principle: using a Switch node in the Sound Cue, and adding the Sound Cue as an Event in the Animation Timeline. Epic have this tutorial on animation audio, presented by the veteran Richard Stevens: dev.epicgames.com/community/learning/courses/Eq/unreal-engine-dynamic-audio/5OO/unreal-engine-animations-and-sound
