I have a 22 with the full Yoshi Titanium RS-12 exhaust...absolutely love the bike with the same issues as everyone else, you feel every little bump. Getting the suspension set right for you is key & it has all the power most of us mortals need & I haven't even taken it out of the factory map setting.
Glad you guys are still giving the suzuki coverage, it is a great bike with great potential. The weight savings in that muffler alone is a great start.
I'm getting back into riding and I have rode Suzukis so I chose a 2021 RMZ450 because they said it was slower. This thing pulls like a tractor almost thought I made a mistake. My buddy has a 2014 KX450 and I dusted him down the straight and he's not a rookie. This bike feels and is a ton faster than advertised.😂😂😂
Absolutely loved that opening skit, great job. If I could still ride I would love to try one of these, though I still would likely go for a KTM group bike as I just never have felt truly comfortable on an aluminum framed bike, also I'm a 2 stroke guy so that only gives you a couple of options for new.
Still don’t get whey he went to Suzuki. Could go to one of the KTM and be on an objectively better bike. But hey. They’re writing him a check to ride dirt bikes all day
I'm an old guy now but grew up riding Suzuki's predominantly. I started out on a '86 DR 100 four stroke (lol) and quickly outgrew that bike to an '88 RM 80, '93RM 125, and '03 RM 250 two stroke. I loved all those bikes. I loved the hard hitting power band and the "out of control" feel of the bikes back then. I tried the four stroke bikes today and I am just not a fan of them. Where people like the engine braking, I totally dislike that feeling and could never get used to the engine brake. I like the "free wheeling" feel and didn't like the bike feeling like it hit the e-brake when I let off the throttle to the point where I felt like I was going to eject myself over the bars as a result. Nonetheless, it is a nice bike and if I were into the 4 Strokes, this would be on the top of my list to buy.
Incredible cameo by Jody, loved it! Had me on the floor when he said they don't make men anymore! Viva Suzuki, hope they make a redo for 25, but this model is beautiful! Hey Josh, what's your bro Michael doing for 24???? Big fan! Triumph or Bar X Suzuki??????
I raced a Suzuki TM-250 way back in 1974, very fast, very powerful, very hard to control … I also raced a TM-400 a few times, it was exponentially harder to handle. The only cure was a champion frame , all new suspension… made a world of difference over stock..
$6800 out the door for my new 2023 with a yoshi full exhaust. Put custom graphics on it in a few trick parts and still $4000 less than most of the competition. I don’t plan on running any nationals but there is nothing wrong with this Motorcycle.
What I dont understand is that back in 2018 the rmz was said to be one of the best handling bikes, if the frame hasn't changed in 7 years why is it now classified as 'too stiff'. Dont get me wrong I understand the importance of the suspension and is definitely one of the main factors for its stiffness, but this doesn't explain the fact why people say the frame itself is too stiff when it was once one of the best handling, and nothing changed.
The frame is only too rigid coupled with those spring rates. I drilled 3 holes into each top engine mount 4mm 6mm 8mm . It softened up the chassis perfectly. Got the correct spring rates for my weight and the bike is amazing
Suzuki knows most of us are weekend warriors and aren't good enough to test the limits of these bikes. They sell them at 2 to 3k less than the others and people can upgrade as they go. It's not sexy but it's a pretty good marketing strategy.
Stock bikes are not great, some are good overall but never great, that said each guy has to find his way or rely on the mechanics to make it better. A great bike comes from a rider that knows what he needs.
i just bought one & love the power looks and ergonomics.. but when the track is rough man this bike is a handful! ive spent 2 days trying to dial the suspension and its still not great.. the big jumps the suspension feels great but the small stuff is so harsh.. i might have to go KYB
Ken Rocsen 94 This year he missed out on several victories because his yellow Suzuki stalled and he kicked around for a long time trying to start it. It's time for Suzuki, install an electric starter, while leaving the kick like on all normal motorcycles. It's time to update it. I had a 2006 kx250 2t and a 2006 suzuki rm250 2t, all customized, I really miss it, I'm always a Suzuki fan.
The Suzi needs a redesigned engine - not for more power, but to get the bike's weight down into the 234 lb range. Unfortunately, that would jack the price up into the 10K area. I don't see Suzuki spending a lot of money on R&D on their 450, it's not likely they'd make the money back. That said, it's not a bad bike for anyone that isn't at the Pro level.
I just don't understand what Suzuki are doing. All they need to do is add an electric start to be inline with the other manufacturers. They make an Enduro bike with electric start, so I would assume it uses cases that fit, so don't even need to change manufacturing. 🤔
Suzuki was my steed of choice for most of my time as a motocross rider until I went semi-pro and then got on a Kawasaki and ended up obliterating my back
I'm surprised Suzuki even sells dirt bikes. I can't tell you the last time I have seen one, and when I do on the extremely rare occasion .. It's usually an old RM 2 stroke. Ricky Carmichael is probably rhw only reason Suzuki exists making dirt bikes fo this day. Without his crazy success on their bikes, I think they wouldve dropped off sooner and went under by now. They make good bikes, but they aren't even close to being competitive. Seeing Roczen on a Suzuki is sad. He is still managing to so well enough, but the bike is clearly holding him back.
Suzuki 4life. Owned them all and i will say suzuki reliability is hands down the best of them all not to mention this bike looks better than all of the other 450's plus it cost 4k less!!!
It's beautiful..... too bad it's a 4 stroke lol 0.S. I'm an old school 1982 RM 465Z rider. Yeah yeah..... yall go ahead and laugh. The 465Z was and still is a beast.
I rode one and didn’t like it at all. Just feels like a bulky and sloppy bike on the track. Super stiff suspension and wide bike. My 2016 ktm 250f felt way better than the rmz
damn in my opinion this is still one of the best looking bikes
If it lost a bit of weight it would undoubtedly be the prettiest bike if it isn't already.
Yellow fan here too. I agree 👍🏻. The fenders shape is timeless and yellow fits well with blue.
Me too
It is even with a kickstarter!! Looks like a real dirt bike!!
defintly a sharp looking peice of machinery

Awesome! That’s the version l like. I wish SUZUKI kept using Yoshimura…

Great bike! Picked up a 2024 450 2 months ago and love it. Suspension works good for my size 6'6 250lbs.
I used to do Supermans on my '84 JR 50!!!😃, at 4yrs old...I love Suzuki. ✌️
Best looking bike, by far Best sounding 450 too. The pc pipe makes it sound even better
i have 2021 RMZ 450 and i love it😍
Haha... A cameo from JODY! Love the wisdom.. Kick it like a MAN!
As a lifelong Suzuki rider/racer, I appreciate the throwback 1987-style graphics. They really bring back some great memories. 😁
It seems to be the absolute best bike to ride like superman or with a cone on the seat. Something I think is often overlooked.
The best sounding bike at my local races last year was a 23 Suzuki 450, great bike 👌

Yeah skit was fun, great to see Jody !!!
KR94 using so much stock stuff shows how great the bike really is
Shows how good Kenny is too
@@Last-Lap-Lando4 Kenny and Suzuki, just like peanut butter and jelly! Praying he kicks ass in 24!

I agree with the intro, I grew up being told if you can kick it you can ride it. Don’t need 450 power if your too lazy to kick a bike over 🤷♂️

I had a 2020 rmz 250 and I loved it, just needed a trip to the suspension shop
Really that’s all they need
I'm so glad that they kept the kick start❤

Agree with you, where i live a new ktm is the equivalent of 10500-11000 usd if not more. And 90% of hobby riders don’t need the ktm.
Looks so 'Suzuki' & great pipe.. nice bike
Rumor has it a complete redesign is coming for 2025. Supposedly it’s an electric start, twin cylinder 159lb 65hp monster.
It’s coming earlier, 2024.5 factory edition
@@aydenrich262
I heard that too!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
twin cylinder? what do you somoke?

My question is: Would Ken Roczens bike win the 450 shootout? How would the modified Suzuki hold up against the stock bikes in the 450 class?
That's a good question! I would love to see that too.
Stock bikes are not great, some are good overall but never great, that said each guy has to find his way or rely on the mechanics to make it better. A great bike comes from a rider that knows what he needs.

Why do u guys alway save the best for last the yz125 and yz250 2 stroke
54 hp? 2 more than my car, and enough to kill me adequately.
Can't wait for TRIUMPH 250 test

Brian Medeiros was on the bike for this video😎
Considering the only hero's I've ever had were my dad, Roger DeCoster, and Jody Wiesel, I got a kick out of this vid.

All they have to do is put KYB suspension on it and give it an e-start. It's not difficult, Suzuki.
Winningest brand in motocross
When my kx250 battery died at the track, I REALLY missed my kickstart lever. I had to jump start it with my truck battery 😂
It’s definitely a good looking bike. Wish it was a little lighter.
Mello Yello! Tractor power & engine braking sounds great to me as a trail hound..
Clearly Suzuki make good bikes. Ken Roczen just won another world championship riding one. Who cares if they don’t have an E-start
Will there be a kroc edition
Loose the lame background music... However, great review on the RMZ 450! Always a fan, just not that music...sorry for the negative comment.
How is the roostertailability on these do they throw a good rooster tail 🐓?
Suzuki gets so much hate it actually makes me want to ride one.
How can you do factory testing and get your suspension so wrong? I wish they would at least do some small updates!
Maybe one day they will do something really cool, since I haven't done anything with the bike in years!?
I just don't understand what Suzuki are doing. All they need to do is add an electric start to be inline with the other manufacturers. They make an Enduro bike with electric start, so I would assume it uses cases that fit, so don't even need to change manufacturing. 🤔
They just need to listen to what the test rider's say about the bike and do exactly that to the bike.
They are already the heaviest bike, electric start would make it worse. They are probably waiting for a major update so they can drop some weight too.
@@vintagetrikesandquads4012actually same weight as the 2024 kx450
I want a kick start on my bike weather it has a electric start or not
more fun with the old 2008 rm 250 all time!!
I cant get used to the 4 stroke sound. It sounds boring.
Anybody heard about going to Kawasaki torque settings to also help issues?
Black side number plates, black rear fender, bike wouldn't look too bad. Who cares that u have to kick start
I like PC stuff, but for the RMZs l definitely prefer a Yoshimura full system! 😉
Im a sherco man tbh but i love my 23 crf450rx to tho

Still no e-start?
i love my rmz450 😍🤷♂
Dang that’s where kick it like a man came from
KYB is always the answer especially if you are a smaller lite weight rider.
And showa is for bigger guys
Definitely a jack of all trades kind of bike, love the fact it still has a kicker, but can she go on a diet 🤔
Suzuki 4life. Owned them all and i will say suzuki reliability is hands down the best of them all not to mention this bike looks better than all of the other 450's plus it cost 4k less!!!
The only real dirtbike left😢
If Suzuki aren't interested in looking after their customers with up to date products, they don't deserve any air time.
Banana bike still competitive
I support suzuki, an I thank Roczen to continue putting Suzuki on podium.
