The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I miss these type of conversations between those that disagree. Both sides want to voice their opposing views on something all while respectfully keeping quiet so both sides can speak until the end. Nowadays it's all about trying to get a "gotcha" and it's honestly usually from one side that speak with a superior attitude and mockery.
Yea only one side has condemned my friends to burn
I got so happy seeing a Cliffe video uploaded & seeing that its 45 minutes long.
lol that's fact. I went ahead and got me something to drink, sat down in my comfortable chair and watched from beginning to end happily.
This Cliffe guy has aura.
Stop focusing on people, but rather the one who gave him the aura.

Cliffe's aura is the Holy Spirit
He has Jesus. Without Him we are NOTHING!
@@killerv135 You're right to point out that focusing on the source of the aura might be more enlightening. Often, such an aura isn't just about the person but reflects something greater they're connected to, whether it's wisdom, faith, or a higher power.
Let's keep praying for as many as possible to experience Christ's love and see the light 🤍
This was awesome. Cliffe could have easily jumped on fallacies, inconsistencies, or contempt, but instead he used each opportunity to reply to this student with a thought provoking lesson for all of us. There was a mustard seed in every answer. Thanks Cliffe, you are doing amazing work, and I’m learning a lot from you. It is challenging my worldview and I want to thank you for that. You are doing a great service to these students by teaching them to think critically, and by presenting an alternative view in relation to society and their professors. I went to University and it crushed my belief in Jesus. In my first year of University, my biology professor mocked Christianity during a lecture (and then again in many other lectures), and seeing him as an intelligent adult, I approached him to ask if there was a possibility of him being wrong. He wouldn’t even look me in the eye. He dismissed me and my question in a condescending manner. Students need to hear this alternative perspective Cliffe. This is what students are facing in University, and I’m afraid to say that it has only grown more extreme over time. This happened to me over 10 years ago and I am finally starting to see the value of faith again … but the connection is weak. You’re helping, and I’m sure you are doing it for countless others. It would have felt like a miracle to see a discussion like this as I walked out of that lecture hall on that day. Thank you for your work, Cliffe and Stuart.

So do I find my meaning from a deity I can't see or hear but only feel? A deity that commits genocide, condones slavery, promotes misogyny and even accepts child sacrifice; or should I find the meaning myself?
Even today our judicial system gives high regard to eyewitness testimony in a court of law proving that eyewitness accounts are valid. It is also reasonable to accept the eyewitness accounts of people throughout history including the time of Jesus.
Popular vote only leads to chaos
What a gifted man that he can speak to and counter the disbelief with Biblical truth. He also listens without interrupting those who step up to ask questions designed to trip him up.

I love cliffe videos so much that when I see a video popsted, I use every ounce of my strength to avoid watching it and I do this until atleast3 or 4 videos get posted so I can binge watch them at once. Just watching one video at a time and then having to wait until another gets posted is too depressing
Yeah I do that sometimes but honestly I also get distracted and can watch this and want to do something while I’m watching.
Always brilliant Cliffe, thank you.. it amazes me how certain students intellectual and studious to find truth are blind to the ultimate explanation that God is eternal so can ans the ultimate Creator who is and always will be... and is the architect designer and creator....and the expectation life could ever come from non life is unthinkable... Thank God for being, Thank Jesus for showing, thank you the Holy Spirit for guiding.

"And make something BETTER"? What is "better" in an ultimately meaningless universe? Why should I give my life for your sake? Aren't we both meaningless in the end? How is it better for me to give my life for someone else rather than simply keeping my life for myself?
They can’t really back up their claims that life is meaningless. They contradict what they “know” and then will say “well I don’t know but as long as I’m happy!” As Christian’s we follow truth > feelings.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. John 3:16-18 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. My query to the first guy would be- why do you want to stop the murders and why do you want to make peoples lives better- it sounds awful lot like an absolute truth claim or moral standard- so if you dont believe in God where are you getting that standard from?
As far back as I can remember, i can't recall anyone telling me that i had a specific purpose in life, let alone telling me my purpose in life was to love and worship Jesus. As we go through life we tend to find our own meaning and purpose, we find things that we're good at, and hopefully we're able to make a career out of it. Life is a rollercoaster we all ride, if you manage to find meaning and purpose early on in life, and you're able to help others, you have done well. It took me many decades to find my own meaning and purpose in life.
That is sad, that you had to go through life by yourself, without talking to God about your issues. He is the Comforter, and Guide, our Source of Wisdom. I talk to Him about anything everyday.
You need to think logically. There are only two options. You came about by chance, your existence is in accident, you live, you die, no big deal. Or you were created by God for a purpose.
You have the grown-up responsibility and intellect to think through it very hard because you will die someday, and you will answer to God for the decision you made. And on that day, you can not fool God the same way you've fooled yourself and others for who knows how many decades.
God bless you, my friend.
@@scottm4042amen! 🙏
That's not the meaning he's talking about. Obviously you have the freedom to choose your own path, but is there an actual meaning in your existence? Are you a product of chance or were you created for a purpose? We can choose our own paths but we can't define our own meaning.
@@scottm4042 I've also talked to God throughout my life scott, i was raised as a Christian, and Christianity has played a massive part in my life. I'm in my mid 60's now. It dawned on me a number of decades ago that my conversations with God were one way, it would be interesting to know what God has actually said to you?, and how do you differentiate between your own conscience talking to you and a supernatural being? Also, what would you say to all those billions of people around the world who are born and raised in entirely different faiths and believe they are communicating via prayer to Hindu or Muslim Gods?
If I am here it's because I made it happen without knowing how I did it. God works in mysterious ways.
Hi cliff and Stuart! I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now and they have really helped me understand some very difficult things surrounding Christ and the Bible. I just have 2 questions. First, does God predestinate everything, we know that God is outside of time, but if He can see what’s going to happen, are our actions really our own, or are they already decided. 2nd question. Why did God make hell specifically, We understand that God needed create separation from sin, but why hell for those who reject Him. Why not a place that is separated but not eternal suffering. I have been trying to witness to a friend and these are some things that I could not answer and I was hoping you could if you see this. Thanks 😊
He makes interesting points, which I still find invalid. I would however want to read more about them. Since english isnt my native language I have a difficult time hearing the name he is talking about. Sarsai? Tzarsai? Tscharzai? Sartschei? Etc. I guess it is a philosopher, none am familiar with yet, but I would like to his/her thoughts and conclsions. I would especially eant to know what time period the person is talking about. I don't agree with what the last guy said about articles of faith from Christianity as non-experiential. I'm wondering if he actually studied the evidence that Jesus Christ really lived, died, and rose again. (35:18)
No he didn’t I can tell just by his view he probably didn’t read the Bible tho I can not judge I’m still reading it

@16:14, this is why evolution is so deadly. Albert E. had to admit he put a fudge factor in to cover the beginning of the universe. Because of this he had to admit the universe had a beginning and a beginner. Evolution is an assumption that everything started a "0" and until you drop that line of thinking you have to adjust your thinking into believing "0" up to now otherwise like this young man he can't put his brain around anything infinite.
Identify one _evidentiary fact_ that demonstrates our universe had a beginning?
@@TheoSkeptomai That's a simple one, The Earth's magnetic field. Have you ever heard of the law of angular momentum; I'll let you check out the rotation of the planets.

We choose to recognize... "good"? What standard do we assume by which to make such judgments? I mean, literally everyone does, right? Except perhaps the criminally insane...
Cliff hit the young man’s argument in the head. The young man’s religion is science, his faith is in science which will not debunk God. Another fallacy the young believes is mankind is good and mankind basically does good without God. Man is inherently unrighteous and any idea of doing good he steals from God and lies about it. We had better put our trust in Jesus Christ who isn’t a hypocrite or a liar.

I love how he says the Bible can mean whatever you want it to me (it can't) and then goes on to give his own claim about what the Bible really is and what it really says. Like so many of the resident trolls on the channel, he needs to make up his mind!
Yes it can, because people can twist it to their own purpose. If everyone read the Bible without biases, then everyone would come to the same conclusion.
Yeah we should not twist it because bible is the word of god 🙏
@@Josiahministries Oh, there are some difficult and controversial passages for sure-but following the rules of grammar, yeah, the conclusions drawn will be very very similar, not all willy-nilly. Amen?

@@Josiahministries You are right, people lie just like Satan lies, but God doesn’t lie .” God is NOT a man that He should lie, nor the son of A man that He should repent. Has He not said and will He not do? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19.
Well I thought on stuff. Why God why is why why why why why why why. Where in the beginning was God and with all his power and knowledge and abilities from what I understand there was just still God. I don't know if that's 100% true or or just my perspective. But that's when God created angels in the heavens and the Earth and all there is in. He made the angels to keep him company or something to keep him occupied or someone to praise him and sing to him and serve him. And I would think of somebody was that much power and wisdom we get bored with that shortly afterwards still appreciating it and I believe you had a plan in the beginning to do that and then create the heavens and the Earth and all there is in. And then he made Adam and Eve after creating the Earth and Sun and the Moon and stars and the animals and it was to keep God's greatness not just busy but give him something to watch over and take care of and if he created us in a sense like you know we have a child and we love our children and we watch them grow and evolve be smarter clever funny humorous and enjoy every moment of her children being childrenknowing they're going to grow up to adults to have our grandchildren hopefully. And I say God can count the hairs on your head without even touching you
. That's his greatness and he can count the stars and he knows how many and he created them. And he gave us animals and I love puppies❤ kids are pretty cute and cool but I prefer puppies over kittens just because I think puppies are more playful more loving and as they grow older they become dogs and grown dogs and they still love you and they're fateful and they'll protect you the warn you about dangers you wouldn't see or perceive being ahead of you on your path. And their curiosity may spark your curiosity you may see something they may see or sniffing and you go wow that's a box turtle. Or it could be a beehive in the ground or a snake on your path is several different things that they might find that you wouldn't normally see they would bring your attention to what they were looking at. And I truly believe we're supposed to love our childhood and everything's new to us and fascinating and then we learn about God and we learned that there's some supernatural being that created all of us and everything and then you see the errors that are made on Earth the sins that go on and then you find out there's a devil that tries to destroy us and all the struggle begins. You're given choices to serve God and love the Lordforgiving to temptation and do evil and sin and learn what sin is. You'll be happier and if you follow God's word and his commandments God put his hedge of protection around you and you won't suffer much. That will still try to beat you down and you'll lose loved ones to go to heaven and you won't understand it when you're a child and when you get older you'll grow to believe that you should celebrate that your family member went on to heaven to be in a happier place with the Lord. But when you're a kid all you know is you lost your grandfather or your grandmother that you love so dearly that loves you too and was good to you and talk to you different things and then now that's gone. But hopefully you learned enough to know that when you grow up you could teach your children or your grandchildren or friends or neighbors. And that we're supposed to love one another and teach one another about the word of Godand like God says you're not supposed to beat him over the head with a Bible but be their friend first and then witness to them if they don't know God and if they do know God you get to discuss things in the Bible and why is this and why is that you learn older and older in life you they learned that not only can you get forgiveness for your sins and sleep gets wiped clean that you still will suffer because God's word tells you the truth and says you will reap what you sow. So if he's ever bad to anyone or hurt anyone or stole from anyone that too will come to the light. And you'll be held accountable and some people don't want to be held accountable because they're so ashamed of how much they've done wrong how many people they've hurt or how evil of a person they truly was and some of them were brilliant and hide the fact of how evil they were that they covered it up they pretend to be Christians and went to church every Sunday night youth group choir practice and then went home and molested her children and stole from them and tried to murder him and so on and so forth.and my Dad tried to manipulate my grandpa cuz he knew wrong as he did but he was a very strict Christian but everybody has a sin in the closet or a skeleton so to speak people that serve Satan will try to manipulate you for that or hold it over you just trying to take advantage of you. Or use you. Some people decide that oh I'd rather people know the truth about me even if it's wrong or bad then to be held hostage by some Satan worshiping piece of crap that's just going to abuse more people and try to make me party to it. That's awful and the shame in this world that you learn God's word you know what's right and what's wrong and you got your own family sometimes doing the worst evil you can even imagine but put on the front of their are the best Christians that ever lived and people buy their crap and know they're a really good person and a good Christian and they would never believe the evil that you said they did and you know they did it cuz you saw that you were there they were not they were in their homes down the road or in the same town but never saw the evil your parents or family members did.and if you go to the sheriff's department or social services they say oh no we know your parents are good Christians they never do nothing like that you're just trying to make them look bad. For whatever reason. He's been in trouble maker since he was a kid and he just tries to make us look bad and he lies about us and he's just trying to do it for attention or do it to get money or to shame on the family. When that's not it at all. You're just trying to protect your own children from your own parents and your own siblings and from the world. And from Satan. God help us all. Jesus is Lord salvation is the answer to all your problems still going to cause trouble. But love Jesus get saved repent and when you die you'll know your name is written in the book of life and you want fear death. You'll be glad to go see Lord please take me on home I'm tired of this evil world there's nothing here that I'll leave behind other than the love of my children or love of my family or loved ones that love me truly the way God intended
Chance couldn't do this!
Isaiah 40:22 refers to the circle of the world, using the Hebrew word ain, which is used in just one other place, Proverbs 8:27, also to mean a circle. I love Cliffe, but he always mixes up the Dred Scott decision with the Three-Fifths compromise. The Dred Scott decision said that a slave did not receive citizenship if brought to a free state. Also, the Three-Fifths compromise had nothing to do with a black person’s intrinsic value. It was a battle for representation, in which slave states wanted their slaves counted as part of the census and non-slave states argued they should not count because they are not citizens. The Three-Fifths compromise was exactly how it sounds, a compromise. For every 5 slaves they would count 3 persons, and use that to help determine how many representatives the state received. It’s actually more insulting than saying a black person is worth less than a white person, because neither side acknowledged that black people were worth anything at all. Instead, they simply were taking advantage of the existence of black people. The best result for black people would actually have been to agree that slaves have no standing, and therefore give less power to the slave states.
I'm a History nerd and that's not the only thing that Cliffe gets wrong in his repetitive speeches.
@robinrobyn1714
Are you going to repeat this speech in other Cliffe comments sections?
The Dred Scott decision was interpreted by the everyday white man to mean that black people had no rights that white people had to respect. It paved the way for Jim Crow codes throughout the South after the Civil War and reconstruction. The 3/5 comprise devalued the rights of black people in what makes America a Democratic Republic; voting, further devaluing the African . There is nothing good you can say about the type of slavery the USA ran for 244 years based on the lie of white supremacy and the discrimination against newly freed slaves and their descendants that continue to support the lie that they are somehow inferior.
So do I find my meaning from a deity I can't see or hear but only feel? A deity that commits genocide, condones slavery, promotes misogyny and even accepts child sacrifice; or should I find the meaning myself?
Wow. Dude is sooo lost. He said he has no faith? He is either willfully ignorant or needs a refund on his education.
Well, we don't know what state the universe was in prior to Big Bang, that posits that the universe expanded from a hot, dense singularity, which isn't nothing. Other theories include a cyclic universe, with endless cycles of expansion and contraction, with Big Bang being the most recent expansion cycle. Something we may never know. But I don't think that believing in some eternal supernatural being, that must have just been bored out of his mind at one point, having been floating around in dark nothingness, and then decides to whip up a universe, and populate a planet with life so he could test, punish, then save his creations, is a better answer....its absurd.

For clarity; the Catholic Church didn't put Galileo on trial for heliocentrism (the Church was and has always been pro-scientific inquiry). They went after him for his insistence of interpreting scripture, which went against Canon Law as non-clergy could not interpret the Word of God. Plus, Galileo wasn't positing anything new that hadn't already been put forward by Copernicus, or Aristotle thousands of years prior. Problem with Galileo was he couldn't back up his claims as he had little to no evidence. He was criticized on scientific grounds in that regard, and ecclesiastical grounds for his interpretation of scripture.
Aristotle taught that the surface of the Moon was smooth, perfect, unblemished. Galileo actually contradicted Aristotle, stating ( correctly) that the Moon was pockmarked, had huge craters, etc. Galileo most definitely contradicted Aristotle in his arguments, which was a major reason why the Church rejected him.
Aristotle taught Geocentrism, the opposite of the Heliocentrism which Galileo Galilei espoused.
That's largely true but the main reason Galileo was placed under house arrest (NOT tortured) was for publicly calling the Pope -- his good friend -- "Simplicio" (idiot).
Why does it have to be a debate why can't it just be known for all why all these different confusing practises

And dont say it's the bible because the Bible isn't evidence, it's full of claims. And plus the bible says the sun came after earth but science shows that the sun actually came before earth with mountains and oceans of evidence backing up the sun coming before earth.
What are you asserting has been created?
@TheoSkeptomai you know what I'm talking about. Whenever someone uses the creation must have a creator argument to prove God's existence.
@@DamodricWilliams-u4eit’s not about jumping to conclusions. It’s about whether if there is any god driven faith which provides the enough evidence that it would be very wise to place your faith in that faith. Additionally, this also implies that this faith must have the most evidence of trustworthiness compared to other faiths.
Given the previous argument that there must be some type of god to create something from nothing since the universe has a beginning and was not always enternal. Essentially something must be eternal. Initially it was thought to be matter and energy, but the current big bang theory ends up ripping that right train of thought out of the water.
There do exist other sources other than the Bible which quote the New Testament Gospels, as early as 1st century with further proves that the gospels were written within a reasonable timeframe from the event. Additionally, these other documents refer to Jesus outside of the context of the Bible with further adds validity that he was a real person at the very least.
The Gospels in the Bible can of course be used as evidence, since it is nothing but a historical narrative/reportage of Jesus Christ. It is already proven to be extremely historically accurate since it’s based on over 5000 manuscripts, all of which have no internal contradictions that change the meaning of the text (but there are smaller issues like grammatical issues of course). From the gospels, we can see that the way he lived with no recorded sin, the extremely high levels of ethical genius he taught, how he died loving and forgiving his enemies, and how he rose from the dead. This is why the Gospels are important, because they are written by either eyewitnesses or people that knew the eyewitnesses and lived in the same timeframe of Jesus. They accurately give a depiction of Jesus and the moment the Gospels are reliable, it’s a no brainer almost that Jesus is extremely trustworthy.
Then there are also the observed facts that those who claimed to have seen Christ risen from the dead died for what they saw. They had everything to lose and put in so much effort to spread the messsage and then died as martyrs in excruciating ways. All of this for a lie of a resurrection that didn’t happen? I doubt it when they had everything to lose and nothing to gain. It makes far more sense to just not worry about all that in the first place had that all have been a lie/coverup.
@@DamodricWilliams-u4e Yes. I understand this argument and the logical fallacies associated with it. I am asking you a straightforward question. What exactly did this 'God' supposedly create.

Boy the college professors in this country have done a number for many decades now. They all throw the same nonsense out with different deliveries, so crazy to see. So weak in their arguments.
The probability an all powerful god made things the way they are = 1 in infinity
The probability things are the way they are by chance < infinite
The math is not in your favour
Why didn't the all loving christian god make lions herbivores ??? Think about it.

@AlphaAchilles And nothing infuriates Matt Dillahunty more... than something that doesn't exist according to him.

Then you have to continue brother. If they annoy you, that's God pointing out ungodliness within you.
All the more reason to watch, listen, learn... and engage more ourselves! If ALL those who watch these pray for and seek opportunities to engage those around us-who knows what might happen. Right? 💓🙏
