Cliffe Knechtle has a great conversation with college students at a campus in the southwest US. Recorded Nov. 2019
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I appreciate learning from am intelligent exchange of ideas. I appreciate that there is no 'right and wrong' but exchange of ideas in a respectful manner. I feel like the lack of research, education and intelligence is why people digress into yelling and name calling.

I have noticed that there is very little (if any) mocking of this brother in Christ from those that are gathered around him. He teaches the truth in love and it is very refreshing to watch him minister to these kids.

It's also nice to see students have a rational debate. It is more often the case where people protest free speech.
This guy needs an award for staying so calm, full of composure and willing to answer the tough stuff. He doesn't insult. He just speaks truth. Keeps the peace. We are called to be peacemakers and not trouble makers. ❤

I like how he doesn’t speak down on people both literally and during his debates. You can see how he lowers his body to meet the eyes of the person asking the question. I love watching and hearing him debate. He is definitely capturing souls for Christ. He will have many crowns in heaven.

I have a guy in my church who speaks down on us in the church, he told people should worship the husband and women should never speak in church. If I was a new believer and he was first person I came up on I would not know how to believe in his version of Bible.

Both are important but the New Testament is more relevant to us. I heard that the Old Testament was more for the Israelites so they could reach the promise land.

It is essentially God’s rescue plan of redemption for those who will trust in His divine Son in order to be reconciled to a just and holy God. The essential content of this saving message is clearly laid out for us in the Bible.
In the apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, he lays out the content of the gospel message, “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
In this passage, we see three essential elements of the gospel message. First, the phrase “died for our sins” is very important. As Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The reality of sin needs to be acknowledged by all who approach the throne of God for salvation. A sinner must acknowledge the hopelessness of his guilt before God in order for forgiveness to take place, and he must understand that the “wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Without this foundational truth, no gospel presentation is complete.
Second, the person and work of Christ are indispensable components of the gospel. Jesus is both God (Colossians 2:9) and man (John 1:14). Jesus lived the sinless life that we could never live (1 Peter 2:22), and, because of that, He is the only one who could die a substitutionary death for the sinner. Sin against an infinite God requires an infinite sacrifice. Therefore, either man, who is finite, must pay the penalty for an infinite length of time in hell, or the infinite Christ must pay for it once. Jesus went to the cross to pay the debt we owe to God for our sin, and those who are covered by His sacrifice will inherit the kingdom of God as children of the king (John 1:12).
Third, the resurrection of Christ is an essential element of the gospel. The resurrection is the proof of the power of God. Only He who created life can resurrect it after death, only He can reverse the hideousness that is death itself, and only He can remove the sting that is death and the victory that is the grave’s (1 Corinthians 15:54-55). Further, unlike all other religions, Christianity alone possesses a Founder who transcends death and who promises that His followers will do the same. All other religions were founded by men and prophets whose end was the grave.
Finally, Christ offers His salvation as a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23), that can only be received by faith, apart from any works or merit on our part (Ephesians 2:8-9). As the apostle Paul tells us, the gospel is “the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). The same inspired author tells us, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
These, then, are the essential elements of the gospel: the sin of all men, the death of Christ on the cross to pay for those sins, the resurrection of Christ to provide life everlasting for those who follow Him, and the offer of the free gift of salvation to all.

Love this guy, praise Jesus for such a wonderful teacher
He has so much knowledge which enables him to answer questions with facts and examples. It's definitely not easy to take point blank questions from people questioning the faith
And he does it with love and understanding. These university students are all about head knowledge and so if the answers he provides doesn't speak to their hearts, then I'm afraid it will be seed that falls on ground where birds eat it. It will get them thinking more and hopefully get them to actually read the synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John.
It's also a fact that Jesus Christ (or any other human) CAN'T WALK ON WATER.

@@lkae4 yes I KNOW that Jesus Christ is Lord. I’ve witnessed deliverance from disease in just a few hours of prayer in the name of Jesus. I’ve seen demons come out of people in His name. I’ve witnessed people literally just begin to cry and tremble at His name. Now if that wasn’t enough, God also left plenty of proof of the resurrection and the power of what Jesus did for us. When you truly trust in something you trust it like a parachute. It isn’t a “just in case,” sort of thing. Because on judgment you are going to stand before God and if you don’t have a relationship with Him you will go to hell. You can’t have a relationship with someone if you don’t even know if they are real. If you have any demons of doubt pray that God remove them and replace it with faith🙏🏽

Ive never seen this before! Ive always thought there was a better way to teach like he does. Hes really really really doing a great thing! Hes actually accomplishing something because those kids are hungry for answers and they are listening! I want to do this when I get old. I dont think a younger person could pull this off this well.
Cliff is amazing. I study his approach for my own interactions. And I can only pray that I could teach the way he does.

Im upset this channel doesnt have millions or even hundreds of thousands of views. These videos are amazing. Street preachers yelling at people shouldn’t get more exposer than kind hearted intellectual gospel like this :(
Most Christians like the street preachers who yell, because they don’t give anyone a chance to respond. To his credit, Cliff lets people speak, and many times what they say makes more sense than what he is saying, so Christians tend to turn away from reality staring them in the face.
Well preaching has a different purpose, the New Testament and the prophets shows it’s meant to warn people. Paul said he would be out warning cities for weeks with years in his eyes, because the point of preaching is to lovingly show people their sin, warn of God’s wrath so they are fully aware and repent and trust in Christ. Some preachers can get pretty passionate and self-absorbed, but the intention is good. You should watch David Lynn and see how he’s able to communicate truth on the streets.

Hey, I’m a Christian to brother. That’s why I complemented Cliffe. I don’t know if you’ve seen people like Jeff Durbin, but he’s the type of guy who seems to get a lot of attention, yet I find despicable. Goes up to Catholic grandmothers who’ve been to church every day for the last 60 years and tells them they don’t get to enter the kingdom of heaven because of their Catholicism.

- eyes of heart in this verse meaning conscience, where we will begin to discern right from wrong (according to God's Law - Ten Commandments, Moral Code of Old Testament). It is literally an enlightenment that takes place in your life.

Trinity can be a very mind boggling concept for man to accept. For myself I try understand in this manner:
1: my physical existence is me, one person
2: I can use a phone call, one person
3: I can use email to communicate, one person
Man is incapable of understanding who God is, so He came in forms we can be blessed in.
