    I went with your Borla S-Type Axel Back, SR X-Pipe, MAK Race Pipes with 400CEL Thunderbolt High Flow Cat's welded to them and the sound is just CRAZY! It wasn't cheap experimenting with this setup and ran me over $3000CAD to get to where it is now!

    Ok opinions needed: i have roush axle backs with an h pipe and i love it. Its perfect by itself but i plan on adding off road headers and i need a catback that’s quieter but still will be pretty loud. I was thinking either magnaflow competition or borla s type. Thoughts?

    • @americanmuscle
      @americanmuscle  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're going to get a bit of rasp regardless of the exhaust setup you go with because of how that Coyote motor is set up. H-Pipes will definitely help tone it down a bit and give it more of that classic muscle tone though! If you check out Justin's latest build video on the following link, you can see an AWE exhaust he put on there with an H-Pipe that sounds pretty damn mean too! th-cam.com/video/YCYsoUQ8JAU/w-d-xo.html -Zach

    Dear Mr Dugan,G'day mateI live in Perth Western Australia and the GT Mustang along with its baby brother ( Eco) have now started arriving in Australia. We have been waiting for ever to get some mascle cars down here and finally they have arrived. I went to test drive the GT 5.0 and was impressed with the power it had yet the sound was not how a Mustang should sound. After searching the internet I came across your video regarding the 3 different Cat systems that you reviewed.I would like to order the 2nd type of exhaust I believe you called it the MBRP Street Cat Black.How ever I do not just want half a system I want to get the full nine yards from the extractors (I think that you guys call them headers) all the way to the tail pipes so a complete system. I also do not want just a single tail pipe at each end (left and Right) I want the system to run the length of the car with two pipes and the end of each side.In your video you did not show that but I am sure that you can get your hands on some.I am ordering the Pearl White colour and would want the tips to be all in black I do not want to see stainless steel at all from the rear of the car.Your 2nd choice is the one for me as it sounds awesome from the out side and I am taking your word that I will not have a loud drone inside the car while driving.Could you please get back to me regarding my request can you do the four 3 inch system after fitting the headers?As the Mustang is now coming onto the market here in Australia I believe that there might be a good demand and if you look after me on the costs etc. I might even discuss opening and American muscle cars add ones. I never let an opportunity like this go into someone else's hands as I would use my car as an example and should I get enough enquiries well maybe there is a chance that be could start up some sort of business together as I have a lot of friends in business that are also wanting to but the 5.0 GT. I have 1800 clients that I now already who have put a deposit down on the cars already and that is from my side of the country. I live in the West in a city called Perth and there are 6 other cities on the east coast that I am sure I could get business from. Our state along is have the size of the USA.I am seriously thinking about some sort of business partnership as well. As I could opened a shop and promote only your products for the whole of Australia.Should you wish to get back to me 1. With a price for my GT exhaust system and 2. The opportunity to take on the Australian market as no one is doing it "YET"I have friends who do this sort of work but for now you are the only one that I have talked to about this.Australia only has about 23 million people in the entire country but if we got in the markets where the rubber hit's the road there are so many things that we could sell to the owners of the GT Pony now that we are only getting the 4 cylinder turbo and the GT at the moment but there are some snakes turning up as well.My email is doug.fraser8@westnet.com.au. I look forward to hearing from you mate.Regards,Douglas C Fraser

    I'm an adult who has no need to attract attention from people everytime I drive, so I really dig that magnaflow exhaust. In my opinion it sounds way more refined than any other exhaust. I get a feeling of a super-car kind of tone from it, rather than just loud and annoying like other exhausts.

I own a triple black 03 GT vert myself since new with 59,000 miles on it now and I think its crazy for people to spend 30,000$ or more on cars that I seen come down that line in huge numbers and seen many mistakes made on them cars during the carnage of building them. We built 41,756 GTs just in 2003 alone not counting the other years of the New Edges so theres nothing unique about them. Putting financial pressure on your household just to look at something common siting there is crazy no matter the age u are.

    I went with the MBRP 1 7/8 long tube headers with high flow cats, H pipe and blacked out MBRP street exhaust. It is crazy crazy loud! I want a deeper tone muscle sound, would that magna flow street with my current headers be loud as well? My current MBRP set up is way too raspy. Any suggestions would be appreciated as my neighbors hate me at the moment, and I don't blame them.

    • @BFLnCO

      LT Headers tend to be make the exhaust very raspy. Catted headers should have helped at least a little. I am running catless Long tubes, Ford Racing X pipe, and Borla S-Type catback. It has an incredible tone but definitely has plenty of rasp that comes along with it.

    • @americanmuscle
      @americanmuscle  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You really shouldn't have any issues with a cat-back system giving you check engine lights! Since everything is after the catalytic converter your exhaust flow isn't going to be greatly affected. As for the air intake, as long as it is no tune required you won't have an issue either. As for warranty, I'd recommend getting in touch with your dealer before doing anything. -Zach

    • @americanmuscle
      @americanmuscle  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your best bet is to stick with a mild series axle-back system. The Corsa Touring, Borla Touring, AWE Touring, and Flowmaster American Thunder are all solid choices. I'd highly recommend checking in with these manufacturers to see if these are 100% compliant with California laws. -Zach

    Cut the cats and throw some Flomaster 10s on it for under 150 bucks. Then get a real tune done that turns off the O2s. Best sound ever.

      Mainly comes down to how long you want the exhaust to last! 304 is going to be much more resistant to rust compared to aluminized steel or 409. -Zach

    When i bought my 16 gtpp it had mbrp on it. Just recently ive heard a rattling and cant find it anywhere. Not aure if the exhaust has a baffle or something inside that's making the noise but it is annoying when idoling. The exhaust is also atarting to rust out in some places. Sadly i might replace it at some point.

  • @g37dude
    @g37dude 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Magnaflow Street is NOT a quiet cat back. It may be the quietest outside the car but it is VERY LOUD inside the car. I had an MBRP Street before the Magnaflow and even though it was LOUD AS HELL outside it was MUCH QUIETER inside the car than the Magnaflow Street. This should has been mentioned in the video.

    • @americanmuscle
      @americanmuscle  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey G37 Dude- We are basing this off of external or 'outside' volume. I will say your experience with the MF Street is different than mine and many others- as I feel it wasn't that loud inside the car. But either way, thanks for the feedback. -Justin

    I feel that the coyote sounds more high pitched than other V8s
    So much so it actually kinda sounds like a GT350 in some cases
    Personally my 2008 4.6 liter GT has much more of a muscle car sound to it
    why is this exactly

    • @Nico__1997
      @Nico__1997 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it has to do with the firing order of the coyote that gives it that raspy sound
