One reason someone might want the Stage 3 Power Pack is that it builds power pretty much all the way to redline which could be better for driving on a road course. It's the same idea as the Boss 302. More horsepower but not as much torque. Boss was designed for a road course as well. Great videos. Keep them coming.
I'm convinced that after market engineers collude with auto designer engineers in the early stages of model design and some after market parts are made even before the first production car
I agree with the power pack2. I have a 16 base GT i was very apprehensive on getting it because i got the ford calibration on my 13 Mustang gt and it was not good. But to my surprise the power pack2 for the s550 was actually awesome!! Not earth shattering as far as power but definitely noticeable, and the overall drivability, the responsiveness, of it was definitely worth it. It pulls hard with 331 gears im getting 373 gears installed in a week that should be a blast with the power pack2.
I had the Perf-Pk on my 2015 GT and grew to hate the Perelli P-zero tires. They stopped and cornered fine but had serious chattering under anything approaching full power. Even 2nd. gear if if was under 90 degrees outside. It was horrible on cool and cold days. I thought it was a Ford problem in the IRS or Torsen. NOT! After only 8K miles they were shot with odd wear patterns on the front pair ( I love fast corners).... I replaced them with summer only BFG tires of the same size and all the troubles went away for good. It was the smartest thing Iv;e done to the car yet.

As one of the few people who seemingly is happy with the stock (Premium) Mustang GT, my add-ons are less geared toward the track and squeezing out all the performance I can, and more toward utility and looks: - Pneumatic hood struts. Ford should at least offer it as an option (though it should be standard.) The Corvette's always had them. The Camaro has them. Mustang owners shouldn't have to go aftermarket to get them. - 2" round convex mirrors on the side mirrors. BLIS is useless. I'd rather be able to see what's in my blind spots than hear a warning beep and see a light. Unfortunately, to get the upgrades you want in the car, you have to take BLIS with it. (But there's still room in the inner bottom of the rear view mirrors for a convex mirror.) - Cargo net/storage container in the trunk (since the car is my daily driver and I get groceries...and want to keep my emergency equipment from sliding around in the trunk.) - a single chrome die to hang from the rear view mirror. (Good luck never hurts.) BTW, isn't the Grande Starbucks cup the small cup? I prefer getting a LARGE coffee at 7/11. Not watered down like Starbucks and only $2 (with change back.) LOL I've tried Starbucks a handful of times before. They're watered down and way too expensive.
Sorry, gt350 intake is a must if your NA and a spirited driver. Made a huge difference in my car on the upper range of rpm's. Heck screw the throttle body and stick with the stock when you do it. Of course now, the 18 intake is the way to go...much cheaper with only slight decrease in performance over the gt350. Goal for me is to squeeze every bit of hp without opening the motor up and keeping NA.
the crattle lock out kit, dose that help with normal slightly more spirited driving as well? or is that only needed or desired if your launching or something

I have been having problems with the shifter , 3rd and 5th crank if I go fast with the gears I have to wait like a second after I push the clutch. It’s a new clutch from ford 😅
Nice video! Interesting to note you covered several things I am planning on doing for my GT down the road. Already have Corsa Extreme, looking at getting Michelin Sport tires later this year followed by Power pack 2. After this I am not sure what's next. What would you recommend? Looking to get to 500-550 HP with smooth handling and a lot of torque.
Please give us a detailed review of the NT05R on your mustang. What tire pressure are you running and do they need to be warmed up prior to sports driving?
IT WILL VOID THE WARRANTY ON THE ENGINE. I have '17 GT Performance Pack too. I have trouble when I bring mine in for service with a PMAS air flow and a tune. Ford always tell me to return my car to stock before they work on it because the ECU is wiped. I no longer have stock parts for the cold air. So, in other words. My warranty is void. (7 yr bumper to bumper is worthless on the engine)

Yes but it wont be as reliable as a Ford tune, regardless of what mustang owners tell you . "I've had my _____ tune for 20k miles with no issues "...... as if 20k miles is a lot and there are things people just learn to live with on a modded car .
You do not have to get a ford tune for it to be reliable lol. In fact OTS tunes are the worst way to go. A dyno tune from a reputable tuner is just as good if not better than the stuff that ford just flashes to a car.
Asa Nickelson do I need a tune period? Only mods on my car are Borla ATAK fatback and the cold air intake which I believe isn’t even legal in my state :/

I'm on my 12th mustang and I have yet to see someone with an aggressive aftermarket tune hit 40k miles with a without a problem. Dont know what you are "lol" about . Just follow the money , if someone is going to tell you a tune is safe but they hold no responsibility then they know it's not that safe .
Hey Jeff have you ever had any engine "ticking" sounds with the Coyote engines? I've had my 2017 GT since Nov and the original motor had a ticking sound and the dealer replaced it. That fixed the issue but now, 4K miles later and this new engine is now doing the same thing. Could it be possible that I got two Coyote bad engines. I am dreading going back to the dealer again. The first time they had my car for two months 😫.

Stainless works headers with their cats and Corsa’s touring exhaust is loud a hell when you punch it. Can’t imagine how loud yours is in person. 😳 I’m setting off alarms with mine!
You should have let 10psi out of those Pirellis and taken the car over to Lakeland and burned them off. That is what I always did before I got new tires.
What's up Jeff been watching your vids for a while. I hope you can answer some questions for me. Are those Nittos you have on good for rain and dry weather? Also, i'm considering on buying the Power Pack 2 as well but i've heard it makes the exhaust less loud according to some reviews on AM. I want to get some kooks headers and a lund tune, but i feel safer sticking to the warranty. I currently have a corsa xtreme catback and love it, really dont want to make is less loud because it always makes me smile in the morning. I hope you see this and reply. My 16 came with hood struts and no prop rod... hmmmm 🤔
If not boosted... Go with Lund flex fuel tune with long tubes, Jlt or PMass intake and a catback exhaust.... On e85 you are serious.

It’s recommended to upgrade the clutch (cable), half shafts, fuel injectors, brakes, and tires of course.

Ford will stand behind their tune ... Nobody else will and ford's tune actually is CARB legal which actually matters to some people.

RaceLegend01 I have it set at 7,500, which is conservative. You can raise it through the Whipple flare software.

You should have let 10psi out of those Pirellis and taken the car over to Lakeland and burned them off. That is what I always did before I got new tires.

Also, i'm considering on buying the Power Pack 2 as well but i've heard it makes the exhaust less loud according to some reviews on AM. I want to get some kooks headers and a lund tune, but i feel safer sticking to the warranty.
I currently have a corsa xtreme catback and love it, really dont want to make is less loud because it always makes me smile in the morning.
