Y'all actually broke narsil and reforged it into Anduril... this was probably your best work ever of one of the most iconic swords in cinema history!!!
@@MegaFregel he never said that? he said this sword is one of the most iconic. And it kind of is. It´s LOTR, the books and movies are so f*cking famous
also shows the folly in the movie hehe forge sword like the elves well ur sword brakes instantly xD piece by piece and forge weld... not just re attach the pieces
Good thing that Narsil, and by extension it's re-forged self Anduril, wasn't forged by the Elves then. Narsil was forged by Telchar in the first age, one of if not the greatest Dwarven Smith to ever exist in Middle Earth. It had a sister blade, a knife called Angrist, which was used by Beren to carve one of the Silmarils out of Melkor's helm. TLDR the elves only put it back together. Narsil is originally dwarven.
@@rlchamp7019 That's more accurately grain than damascening. The whole blade is made from the W1 (and, probably to counter scale losses, a touch more from the original bar) and the lines you can see are a result of welding the pieces back together, with carbon loss along those interfaces. Think like that grain of Japanese steels, not modern pattern welding of different steels, or even wootz.
I started my journey in to youtube this evening looking at a Gordon Ramsey recipe video for chipotle pulled pork. I am not sure how I ended up seeing Anduril being forged but I am a happier man for it. Massive respect for your talents.
@@kaptainperoxide5687 Not always, though. It has it's moments when it shows you videos that you don't want to see (Trump included). But this series is great! Thus, TH-cam is great, when you find the right ones to watch!
Mad props for making a beautiful sword (Narsil), then breaking it to create Anduril, keeping true to the legend. I think by far this has my favorite build.
Props to you gust for taking this on old school style and living up to the sword's history by reforging it. Your work is always above and beyond what I expect and enjoy the work you guys do.
Matt Stagmer SoulReaver from the Legacy of Kain games. I love the newer stuff, but I like to see blades that there are not 50,000 reproductions of. I have yet to see a proper SoulReaver done.
I'm a mechanical engineer but I've never watched any of their vids before. When I saw how little it was deforming from the hammer hits at 1:15 I realised how hard their job is. It must've taken hours just to get the rough shape done. Massive respect for their workmanship.
Certain alloys are just brutal to work with even at an orange heat. I tried to work with some spring steel at near welding temp and it still required my largest hammer.
well, elves dont call their work magic, you could say its just "elven art", galadriel said "im not sure what you mean with magic, but i guess you may call it so"... my oint is that they are just better than us
It was pretty awesome that they forged Narsil, broke it, and reforged it into Anduril. I especially love that the forge welding and folding gave the blade a wavy - almost flame-like - pattern. Fitting, as Anduril is The Flame of the West. It was also interesting to see how the tempered sword flexed when Sam accidentally hit the table at 9:48. If it wasn't tempered, I'm pretty sure the sword would have either bent permanently or straight up snapped. Well done, gents!
Illya's my favorite, he knows so many awesome skills and makes such mind-bogglingly beautiful work. When I realized that he was the winner of the spiked shield episode of Forged in Fire, it made me like him even more. Easily one of the most beautiful things on Forged in Fire. He's also Russian so that automatically makes him awesome. Such a skilled individual, I hope to one day learn at least half the skills he has mastered.
Tarik360 Where the Damascus folded steel pattern looks nonuniform and coarse the Nordic method of taking the steel dividing it into three equal parts and pounding those back out o the length of the sword then twisting two to the right and one to the left (or vise versa) result's in a really sexy and repeating pattern down the blade. My favorite style is the serpent where the center core is staggered and pounded flat again making it look like a serpent going down the blade.
Wow, that pommel is beautiful. Every time I see the varied artistry that Ilya is capable of, I'm incredibly impressed. This sword in general is probably one of the best-looking blades they've ever made, and the techniques they used just make it even more amazing.
The fact that you actually broke Narsil and then reforged it to more accurately make Anduril, now that's some awesome dedication. This is seriously amazing.
I love the Damascus style to the reforged Anduril and how you actually broke and reforged it using accurate methods. The fact you can see the history of the blade without sacrificing the integrity is just incredible
I really appreciate them showing how they did that forge welding technique. I'm an aspiring Blacksmith and can't weld yet.... a skill I hope to acquire soon
my jaw was dropped when seeing the preliminary sword at how gorgeous it was and then was even more shocked when you smashed it. Then the damascus coloring came through after reforging and was even more impressed. The engraving is particularly gorgeous, as simple as it is. awesome work.
This has been my comfort video for almost 10 years now, and it still brings me just as much joy as the day I first found it. Thank you all for the work you do.
I like how Narsil's handle hints at it being a bastard sword, yet in the hand of Elendil's descendant it's a full sized, two handed sword. Nice Easter egg to Elendil being almost 8ft tall.
Oh Ilya, you sly dog~ I love coming back to these older videos and seeing the classic builds you guys have taken on. So many awesome techniques and ideas you've tried, and your content just keeps getting better.
I’m beside myself in awe of what these craftsmen are capable of creating with their hands and metal working IQ. Nothing short of exquisite! My hat is off to you gentlemen! Thank you for the great video!
Have I got some news for you...our fave glowing eye was big time attractive before he went all evil. Was part of a mythic race in lotr lore that created elves and humans as well as dwarves. He betrayed his own and later everyone. All because he trusted another of his kind who was also an evil son of a gun. :3 so yeah Sauron was quite hot to the point people trusted him completely.
Santiago R actually the book Tolkien wrote the Silmarillion explains who and what Sauron was before his fall from literal grace. It’s an amazing book. Massive and long but a good read the nine were mortal men . Sauron was of the Valar and Maiar two races created from spirits who wanted to be apart of the world physically. One of which was a Being called Malkar whom wanted the now created world for himself rather then let elves, dwarves and men have it when they came. :3 if you wish to know more lore feel free to ask me . I am happy to share.
Nichelle M I know. I've read the Silmarillion, and I know it describes Sauron's armour. But based on what I saw, the armour that woman is wearing is looks more like the Witch-King's armour than Sauron's. Anyway, thanks for pointing that out
+Ted Melkoumov (SSB Computers and Knives) A bastard/hand-in-a-half sword is exactly the same as a longsword. Sometimes they're different (such as handle shape/size, and/or blade length), but overall, a longsword and a bastard sword are the same
Bastard sword is a more modern term I remember. Also hand-and-a-half sword is misleading. A proper longsword (and for sure a beast like Anduril) is way to long to be used with one hand. Yes you could do it, but it would be very hard to wield und very ineffective. A bastard sword would be a sword with the long handle of a longsword, but a shorter blade...a "bastard" of a longsword and a one handed sword. Indeed, a Hand-and-half sword.
Brian Ward You watch game of thrones? If so, you know Valyrian steel? That's basically Damascus steel. No one knows how to make it anymore and it's strong as hell
Moveeyy yeah no one knows how to make Damascus steel like it used to be made, but Damascus steel is just steel that's been folded many times. So yes we do know how to make it, just not the same way it used to be made.
I'm intrigued that they used 19th century techniques. I wonder if they would try even older techniques. Go for broke and make Excalibur using 7th century techniques. Or build Excluding Roman or Celtic techniques.
forging blades and armour is its on magic friend, whether it be elfish, orcish, or dwarvish (the dwarves can't use magic but they can enchant, i dont know how but hey magic is magic)
While interesting (and for academic recreations, necessary), doing it exactly like they'd do it back then is uncessesarily time- and labour-consuming. A hammerblow is a hammerblow, wether done by a machine or an apprentice, what matters is the way the hammerblows are used to create the finished piece of work. Method =/= Technique. Having seen an axe made using historically accurate tools, method AND technique, I can say it's incredibly difficult, time consuming and GOD DAMN SO COOL!
6:21 "That is no way to reforge a sword." Please remember kids, never reforge a sword instantly, with elven magic. It's not only more effective and faster, but it's also improper blacksmithing. If the elves needed a smith, they'd be out of luck, because they don't like dwarves.
John Peacekeeper The 1st age ones could craft crazy stuff that could almost rival the rings of power. So even still, the 3rd age elves could at least fix a sword with magic. Not only that, but they were clearly capable of imbuing their blades with magical properties. Hence why sting glows when orcs are near, and the elven rope burns Gollum. If I wanted a blade, I'd probably go to the Elves,
I think the rope burned Gollum specifically because he was so tainted by the Ring that the touch of something that Elves made was unbearable. Just the _presence_ of something so fair was like acid... actually, kinda like how Quirrell couldn't touch Harry because of his mother's protection? That said, the elven rope was totally magical. It slipped its knot and came down just on Sam's say-so.
I wanna say, one of things I love and noticed about this sword is the contrast of the metals. With Narsil, you see the full metal of the sword, when Andúril is made (using the tile stacking) you can notice the contrasting metals in the cool wave pattern. It’s really cool!

The Waiting Flame OH GOD THOSE FFXII WEAPONS SHOULD BE DONE! Especially Ultima Weapon and Tournesol!! Also, I think it would be really cool if they made Lightning's Blazefire Saber and/or Megaman.exe Wide Blade. :D
Showing what happens when you don't temper the blade and how to reforge a broken sword by retelling the story of how Narsil turned into Andúril. This video is a masterpiece, by far the best episode of MaA.
well, in the books, I dont think it mentions exactly how it was reforged, so the movie interpretation is probably just a hand-wave “probably looks right”. I dont think it being magical was a significant factor in making the scene, thats more retroactive justification.
After his kills, He engraves little runic words on their foreheads... It's his secret squirrel calling card. Also, the long hair is to cover up the bar code on the back of his head...
i have just gotten into blacksmithing, right now I'm just making small things to practice like knifes and pendents. We got almost everything for free from my retired grandpa, but the forge we found a used one for $500, so if you do your research, you could totally do it
Mr. Vinter Nice!!! I spent around $400 for an anvil, belt sander, Drill press, and a vice. I'll tell you right now, that anvil was the hardest thing to find.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.
I can’t Imagine the heat you boys felt doing it the old school way in a forge. Still one of the most beautiful swords ever created. And the best movie sword.
***** Well there is no good description of his sword in books. Only good one is sihill and it's not really Geralt's although he was given it for some time.
Ondra Němec Yes, but either the silver sword or one of the elven swords. The Witcher's steel sword is a pretty standard European sword for the most part.
Hey guys, massive respect for your craftsmanship. Ilia ( correct me if I misspelled that), your keen interest in the traditions of sword makers times past from different cultures, and your respect for those traditions as you utilize their techniques and teach us about them makes this show the greatest Maker’s show I’ve seen. Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu, Nathan
Omg me as a fangirl thinking for all of the first half of the video that they should make Anduril instead of Narsil cause they showed the wrong footage at the beginning. Still, the footage of Aragorn beheading Lurtz (the Orc leader in The Fellowship) is neither Anduril nor Narsil cause at that time the shards of Narsil were kept at Rivendell and he used another sword ;)
David Köppel They were recreating the transformation from Narsil to Anduril. Narsil was broken into pieces by Sauron and was reforged by the Elves of Rivendell for Aragorn, the true heir to the throne of Isildur. Narsil was wielded by Elendil, the first High King of Gondor and during his final fight with Sauron, Narsil was shattered and Elendil was dead leaving his throne to Arathorn II, his son and the father of Aragorn. With Elendil's death the Second Age ended. So that is why they "broke the sword".
Lourenço Rosa OH THAT MAKES IT ALL SO MUCH CLEARER NOW! /s summary: A guy was killed and his sword broke, then his son came and reforged his sword and gave it a new name.
Spike Tacular Well, as you can see, I clearly wrote "Narsil was broken into pieces by Sauron and was reforged by the Elves of Rivendell for Aragorn, the true heir to the throne of Isildur.".
Alexander R. Jaruk The guy you first replied to is using a character from a TH-cam show called Big Lez. Don't know why the guy stated it like that though haha.
Technically they already have done an interpretation of Excalibur. They did the version of Excalibur that the character Saber (Arthuria Pendragon)wields in the Fate/Stay anime series. Go and watch it if you haven't already, its a beautiful piece.
Y'all actually broke narsil and reforged it into Anduril... this was probably your best work ever of one of the most iconic swords in cinema history!!!
So every blade of a greater movie/book is one of the most iconic?
Okay then.
@@MegaFregel he never said that? he said this sword is one of the most iconic. And it kind of is. It´s LOTR, the books and movies are so f*cking famous
Nicolaj Luttinen Scheel so basically every blade of a greater movie/book?
@@MegaFregel yes if its really famous then its really iconic isnt it?
@@MegaFregel but lets be honest, not a lot of stuff is as famous as LOTR
this has to be the best episode i've ever seen not only did they do it all manually but they actually broke it and reforged it! thats just awesome !
+john tucker should have dressed up as elves :)
Sexy elves are the best, so much better then the ugly ones.
john tucker 2nd that bro!
Just like the movies
also shows the folly in the movie hehe forge sword like the elves well ur sword brakes instantly xD piece by piece and forge weld... not just re attach the pieces
"That's no way to reforge a sword!" Don't forget to factor in secret elven techniques that were utilized off-camera
Pff... They don't even have elven smithy.
@@hayabusaorlovina2761 lol
They then need Galadriel's gift of a scabbard that will imbue it with magics to keep it from breaking it again.
Hahaha
Good thing that Narsil, and by extension it's re-forged self Anduril, wasn't forged by the Elves then. Narsil was forged by Telchar in the first age, one of if not the greatest Dwarven Smith to ever exist in Middle Earth. It had a sister blade, a knife called Angrist, which was used by Beren to carve one of the Silmarils out of Melkor's helm.
TLDR the elves only put it back together. Narsil is originally dwarven.
9:02 The squiggly lines along the blade are amazing. This sword came out absolutely beautiful. Amazing work. You did Elrond's smiths proud.
you mean the Damascus design?
@@rlchamp7019 Ah! Yes, thanks, I never knew that's what it's called. Thanks for educating me. Cheers.
I didn't actually expect them to break and reforge it. These guys really go above and beyond o.o
I know right. So amazing.
That was quite informative. I didn't think a sword could be reforged like the way they did in the movie.
I started my journey in to youtube this evening looking at a Gordon Ramsey recipe video for chipotle pulled pork. I am not sure how I ended up seeing Anduril being forged but I am a happier man for it. Massive respect for your talents.
TH-cam is a wonderful machine isn't it
@@kaptainperoxide5687 Not always, though. It has it's moments when it shows you videos that you don't want to see (Trump included). But this series is great! Thus, TH-cam is great, when you find the right ones to watch!

I recommend “Al’s kitchen, curry base gravy”.
Matt Stagmer your welcome brother
Matt Stagmer SoulReaver from the Legacy of Kain games.

I'm a mechanical engineer but I've never watched any of their vids before. When I saw how little it was deforming from the hammer hits at 1:15 I realised how hard their job is. It must've taken hours just to get the rough shape done. Massive respect for their workmanship.
I cracked my first job as Design engineer by watching them.
Too high carbon on it, probably. It's tool steel, and they used charcoal...
@@gmourao It would lose a lot of carbon in the reforging process, so they must have thought about it and went too far with the first blade.
@@aimilios439 they used a charcoal forge so some of that carbon is probably out back in that way.
Certain alloys are just brutal to work with even at an orange heat. I tried to work with some spring steel at near welding temp and it still required my largest hammer.
Clearly, the Elves know some secret forging techniques Men have yet to uncover (also, magic).
yeah. that (and much more) is the gift of the elves. we got the gift of men. that suxx big time, to put it mildly
Lol; too true. Who knows: Tolkien probably kept their secrets.
The sword was first made by a dwarf
well, elves dont call their work magic, you could say its just "elven art", galadriel said "im not sure what you mean with magic, but i guess you may call it so"... my oint is that they are just better than us
i believe that everyone who commented in this section had a great childhood...
Please visit my TH-cam channel, and watch my swords :)
Litteraly got chills when I heard "Flame of the West" xD
I think I felt them from here
Yep, I've watched this before and still got it.
Прогиб защитан!
Its Men of the west

I love how you broke and reforged it just to be accurate and hardcore. My hat is off to you!
This is my favorite build.
Such a beautiful design for a weapon, you almost hate to call it a weapon. A true piece of art and legacy.
+Bryce Sanders Why? It's not as long and thin as the actual sword... It's puffy and meh.
You're puffy and meh.
Bryce Sanders Umm ... ouch???
Bryce Sanders lol burrrrrrn
This is... by far the most goosebump-inducing episode yet. This just showcases the skill of the Baltimore K&S guys even more than I'd ever thought.
Finally, another realistic sword. I really like these builds more.
Johnnythefirst Also, just saying. The sword he cut the Urukhai with in the intro, was not Narsil, as it hadn't been reforged back then. ;-)
Johnnythefirst It's also not Narsil
Johnnythefirst in the book, he had it since the start!
DocbadLuck yeah I remember Aragorn is a hardcore Dark Souls player so his starter pack was a Broken Straight Sword.
Me too
I love how Anduril has a the etched lines of some nice "Damascus" steel. It looks awesome!
That Damascus-Steel pattern on the blade.
*HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGG*
Tarik360 I wish they would have gone for a more Nordic style pattern weld because it looks way better than Damascus steel and it's more Tolkien-ey
adsfacvadtrvawefdgh jdsfpoiajsdpo How does the Nordic pattern even look like?
Tarik360 Where the Damascus folded steel pattern looks nonuniform and coarse the Nordic method of taking the steel dividing it into three equal parts and pounding those back out o the length of the sword then twisting two to the right and one to the left (or vise versa) result's in a really sexy and repeating pattern down the blade. My favorite style is the serpent where the center core is staggered and pounded flat again making it look like a serpent going down the blade.
That sounds really familiar, care to give me a link? I'm not sure how I'm supposed to look it up.
I already saw the link, then you removed it. Why? It was cool!
Wow, that pommel is beautiful. Every time I see the varied artistry that Ilya is capable of, I'm incredibly impressed. This sword in general is probably one of the best-looking blades they've ever made, and the techniques they used just make it even more amazing.
+Ellie Gray and don't forget that they actually shattered it to pieces.
One of the most revered swords ever forged and an iconic blade. Fantastic job guys.
I’ve watched this many times over the years and never get tired of it. The best video I’ve watched on TH-cam by a long margin.
Simply outstanding.
After all that work... The twist.. and the quote at the end...Butterflies.. Beautiful job.
I love that these guys use every technique from every era and location on the planet. It's like they are the swordsmiths of humanity. Rousing!
I gotta admit, this was one of the coolest builds on the channel so far.

this is still the most badass build ever.
I cannot believe how great a job they did. This is an heirloom quality sword IMO even if it is a "replica".
my jaw was dropped when seeing the preliminary sword at how gorgeous it was and then was even more shocked when you smashed it.

Yeap, fun imagining him whipping it around with ease in one hand while throttling another orc and tossing it away like it's literally nothing.
Oh Ilya, you sly dog~ I love coming back to these older videos and seeing the classic builds you guys have taken on. So many awesome techniques and ideas you've tried, and your content just keeps getting better.
I love every episode of this series, but Kerry, with that great voice, quoting the book at 8:40-ish. Damn. Best moment ever.

Sauron is a lot more attractive then I remember...
That ain't Sauron. That's one of the Nazgûl, their leader, the Witch-King of Angmar, but in this case, it's the Witch-Queen
Anyway, thanks for pointing that out
Santiago R ahh ok. Guess we had tiny miscommunication then haha and no problem I’m a fountain of random lord of the rings lore.
Nardil and Anduril are in my opinion the most beautiful longswords ever
According to Skallagrim, That's how traditional medieval longswords were supposed to be used.
That looks absolutely amazing. Its even better because you've made it using 19th century technology. Well done 👏
Folding the steel gives it such a beautiful pattern. It looked amazing at the end
Glorious Nippon Steel, folded ten thousand times
CUTU STRAIGHTO THROUGH SOURU OFU WEABOO!!
I'm pretty sure it's Damascus steel after they fold it? But yeah, Damascus steel has really awesome patterns
There is a doco called secrets of the viking sword that goes into it. Recommended.
They've already done Excalibur though.
I was intrigued that they decided not to use any Elven magic. Or did they?
forging blades and armour is its on magic friend, whether it be elfish, orcish, or dwarvish (the dwarves can't use magic but they can enchant, i dont know how but hey magic is magic)
^ he doesn't know that Tolkien elves are best smiths in the entire world
(laughingnoldor.jpg)
+Cajolic There's not a lot of them though. And weren't the good ones the 1st Age ones?
It slipped its knot and came down just on Sam's say-so.
kiraina25 That's my point. Elves don't make rope, they don't smith swords. They magic them together.
I wanna say, one of things I love and noticed about this sword is the contrast of the metals. With Narsil, you see the full metal of the sword, when Andúril is made (using the tile stacking) you can notice the contrasting metals in the cool wave pattern. It’s really cool!
Cool stuff, you people are TRUE masters at your craft. Awesome job, i want one bad

jF,
It originally started with only 45 items from Autumn of last year. And it grew bigger since then.
Excalibur from Sword Art Online II
The Waiting Flame Strawpoll this list at some point.
The Waiting Flame On Prince of Persia, you forgot the "Sharaman's Sword" from prince of persia the two thrones
Witcher 3 Ciri's or Geralts sword, according to the blacksmith's specifications mentioned in the game if possible.
Ulfbert IE, they can only use a few ingots of silver and things like monstrous blood to make them :P
jakisthe well I mean the weight and balance, forgot to specify.
***** Isn't it the best outcome? Better than the much darker other ending that I got during my first play through.
Ulfbert Hm.. mundane blade or silver blade?
deathpyre42 Both :D
Showing what happens when you don't temper the blade and how to reforge a broken sword by retelling the story of how Narsil turned into Andúril. This video is a masterpiece, by far the best episode of MaA.
I always flinch when the sword breaks. T^T such a thing of beauty to be broken like that.
THE WITCH KING'S SWORD!!! and the asymmetrical Nazgul sword!!
It may not be the way to reforge a non magical sword, but narsil was a magical sword which was reforged with the aid of elven magic.
well, in the books, I dont think it mentions exactly how it was reforged, so the movie interpretation is probably just a hand-wave “probably looks right”.
I dont think it being magical was a significant factor in making the scene, thats more retroactive justification.
Anduril... This is the best work ever done by you guys and one of the most iconic and the most beloved sword in history of cinema!
I'm pretty sure that Ilya is a master assassin in his spare time.
he was on Forged In Fire too
it always scares me seeing his long hair while forging XD
it seems that he doesn't have free time, so we are safe :D
@@riseeuterpe2838 I sure hope ManAtArms build gohan's first sword
After his kills,
He engraves little runic words on their foreheads...
It's his secret squirrel calling card.
Also, the long hair is to cover up the bar code on the back of his head...
I wanna learn to smith as well as these guys do.
Go for it
That's what we need in this day and age: more artists and less couch potatoes. Godspeed.
i have just gotten into blacksmithing, right now I'm just making small things to practice like knifes and pendents.
They are not that good.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
I can’t Imagine the heat you boys felt doing it the old school way in a forge. Still one of the most beautiful swords ever created. And the best movie sword.
“They shall answer to the king of Gondor.”
Too bad Aragorn never unscrewed his pommel to end those orcs rightly.
Hah ha! And he should have rightly so "Ended them rightly"
How hilarious would that have actually been?
I adore this meme. May it never die.
Bruh the pommel is peened lol
u stole my thunder f*ck you have a nice day i love u
I trust Iliya more than those Keebler Elf blacksmiths.
I assume they used magic and enchantments.
@@Darksky1001able And didnt use a hacksaw for cutting wood...
Just popped up on my feed. I know nothing about foraging swords. I am impressed by your work, patience, and skill. Well done, gentlemen, well done.
Quite possibly the most gorgeous sword they've made because they handcrafted it.
Functional Corvo sword from Dishonoured
***** That would be awesome as f*ck.
***** Yes Please
oH yeaH
***** It got suggested like a million times.
I hope they will do it finally, even if it will cost tons of nerves :)
***** YES
You should really make Peter's sword from narnia😎😎
One of my favorite videos of all time. Breaking it only to reforge is was pretty awesome. Baltimore represent!!
Pls do the Witcher Swords!!
I would love to see them *-*
Good idead :) thumbs up for this one ...
***** been sayin' that for yeeears...
MrTingles hehe same here :)
***** Do Geralt`s Silver Sword!
***** Well there is no good description of his sword in books. Only good one is sihill and it's not really Geralt's although he was given it for some time.
Do Geralt's Silver Sword from the Witcher 3
WHICH ONE?
Captain Italia the sword with the wolf :3, i think
Captain Italia A silver blade with a steal core? Interesting.
Captain Italia fuck game make sword from A.Sapkowski books.
Nice suggestion: Geralt's sword.
*clutches heart* My heart broke a little when you guys snapped the sword 😩
This is the coolest episode, to actually break and reforge it... Dude... That's what you call PASSION
I agree with everyone on how awesome the episode was in Narsil's forging and reforging. But really? Noone comments on the sexy Sauron?!
+Zentaen i dig her
+Zentaen Ya id like to give Sauron the tip of my Narsil
+TycoTyrannus shame she's gonna destroy it to pieces
Please do the "Ulfberht", this is not a sword from a game or movie but from the viking age, the greatest sword in history!
Pål Christian
Thank you! +1 on this.
Pål Christian Agreed
***** finest metal used on a sword, they still don't know how they made the metal so fine at that age.
Pål Christian not a Viking sword. i believe its a Frankish sword
Damascus blade was the dreatest
Please do the ''sword'' of Illidan Stormrage please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dany Dani Blades of Azzinoth
tromagnon Warglaives of Azzinoth*
Odmar Rossi Yes sorry, i tried to remember it without google, but i failed :)
I'm french, and the traduction is a bit different.
it's ok :)
Yeeeeeeah
I already loved this video and THEN they shattered Narsil and reforged it into Anduril ... might be the best video on the tube ever made.
Geralt's swords from The Witcher.
Yep
Ondra Němec both including scabbards
Ondra Němec and the silver sword should be silver or silver coated or partially silver
themonkeywarrior111 The blade of the sword is only silver plated else is forged from meteoric stone as well as steel sword.
Ondra Němec Yes, but either the silver sword or one of the elven swords. The Witcher's steel sword is a pretty standard European sword for the most part.
"Hey, I got an idea. Let's brake this $10,000 sword and make a $20,000 one from the shards."
'break'
@@pelinalwhitestrake3037 my dude, that was pretty broke.
One of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. The skill shown here is amazing!
Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu,
Nathan
Yaaaaaay:
woah the amount of work you put in here guys...... impressed
This is the most beautiful sword ever made:)
Dragonborn its tge first sword with a hollow pommel
Of course they have someone named Sam involved in this build
I love that you break Narsil to forge Anduril
This was absolutely AWESOME! I love the finished product shots, just sayin'.
How fitting for a show called 'reforged', presented by a group called 'break'
Omg me as a fangirl thinking for all of the first half of the video that they should make Anduril instead of Narsil cause they showed the wrong footage at the beginning. Still, the footage of Aragorn beheading Lurtz (the Orc leader in The Fellowship) is neither Anduril nor Narsil cause at that time the shards of Narsil were kept at Rivendell and he used another sword ;)
Haha another fangirl!
AgentMI6007 im in love!
AgentMI6007 His first sword is a Dunedain Chieftain's long sword (:
Thank you for posting this. I hate when companies do little to no research.
I was exactly the same..It is amazing though!
Le rêve de pouvoir forger une telle épée. Magnifique travail. Merci beaucoup pour ce partage qui donne tellement de rêves et d'envies de créer
1. Make a sword
2. Break a sword
3. Repeat
4. ?????
5. Profit
/s
summary:
A guy was killed and his sword broke, then his son came and reforged his sword and gave it a new name.
Laharl Krichevskoy the son didn't reforge it, elves did and gave it to his heir later on :P the LOTR can be confusing.
Lourenço Rosa yeah well, I know...
It was just an old meme bro
Spike Tacular Well, as you can see, I clearly wrote "Narsil was broken into pieces by Sauron and was reforged by the Elves of Rivendell for Aragorn, the true heir to the throne of Isildur.".
While watching the beginning of the false showcase I was like "Where was the tempering?!"... Can't say you disappointed me
i would pay alot of money for some of the swords these guys make.
You, and me, half the planet.
Big lez
???
Alexander R. Jaruk The guy you first replied to is using a character from a TH-cam show called Big Lez. Don't know why the guy stated it like that though haha.
Thanks for the explanation!
Beyond cool! As a sword-lover and Tolkien-fan/youtuber this video was like Christmas, birthday and Hobbit-Day all put together! You guys are a gift!
Thanks! We are planning a pile of new episodes upcoming!
@@AweMe can you make these swords: Perseus Sword from Clash of the Titans, King Arthur Legend of the Sword, Alita Battle Angel.
@@AweMe can you make a sword from Dracula Untold on your channel on TH-cam
"This is how the sword WILL be whole again."
Whoa.
Send it, dude. Lol
Theoden's sword, Herugrim. pls
Iliya: this is no way to reforge the sword. Elf: MAGIC, bro! :)
Probably one of the most famous swords in pop culture, and you guys did it justice; I have a replica of Narsil hanging on my wall
I cant wait for the new King Arthur movie comes out so they can finally forge Excalibur!
Technically they already have done an interpretation of Excalibur. They did the version of Excalibur that the character Saber (Arthuria Pendragon)wields in the Fate/Stay anime series. Go and watch it if you haven't already, its a beautiful piece.
Julian Morgan The newer version from King of Avalon is quite possibly the most beautiful sword they've ever made.
5:53 Tits Sauron! ... I mean 'tis Sauron!
lol
No
kinda weird. why would you cosplay as sauron with boobs. I'm pretty sure a woman could wear a male sauron costume just fine
@@Texicus_Reddicus because, bewbs.
Guess they could not find a male cosplayer
