All of them are extremely talented in their own field. Most people underestimate how difficult a good grind is, I have an understanding of how good Matt Stagmer is at grinding as I did it for a few years when I worked as a fettler in a foundry. I was good, Matt is exceptional these days. I can see the progress he has made from the first videos they made to the newest.

I love how LotR weapons got a fantasy design but they are actually highly functional battleworthy weapons. Any medieval knight would be happy to have this sword, unlike most other fantasy designs. *hark* anime *hark*

Orcrist reminds me of German Langmesser which has few variations, basically its war knife or hewing knife which certainly gives different picture for how to use it. :D

Adrew Not Andrew yes but each side works individually, and if it was one solid handle it wouldn't have worked at all when Obi-Wan cut it. plus it's actually stated in official canon that it's two lightsabers welded together because Maul felt one wasn't enough

You guys are so good at building your weapons from scratch and it does give a bit of insight into the past or blacksmith and the only difference is how fast and the tools you are using in the past they did everything by hand and I see that I love to have my own forge to see how much skills you need to build a weapon like you guys do

Sam probably owns that title since he the lead blacksmith.ilya probally does most of the forging because Baltimore doesn't get as many armor order compared to sword orders so ilya get to do most of the awe me stuff.

Actually, a few thousand years old. This material has been popular for custom knife handles for a very long time. I have been working this and similar materials for almost 30 years and really, although it may appear so, there is nothing casual about it. It is a fantastic material and a perfect choice for this build application.

QQ Orcrist and Glamdring weren't made in Moria/Eregion, they were forged in Gondolin, the Hidden Rock of High King Turgon of the Noldor...Glamdring was Turgon's sword, and Orcrist was (I believe) the blade of the Captain of the Fountain Guard, Turgon's personal palace guard.
+Garrett Barker Dragons did exist before the founding of Gondolin, at least Glaurung did, but no dragon had been slain when Orcrist was made so it's unlikely that it had a dragon tooth for a hilt.
At the founding of Gondolin, if Glaurung had already been created, then he would have in his infancy. Glaurung wasn't allowed out of Angband until about 20-50 years before the Dagor Bragollach, the Battle of Sudden Flame. Gondolin was established within the first 150 or so years after the Siege of Angband began with the Dagor Aglareb, "Glorious Battle." So Gondolin would have been established at minimum 300 or so years before Glaurung was even known to exist by any outside Angband. These numbers are just off the top of my head, so they might not be exact, but they should be reasonably close.

Anduril is the better sword in a fight but I just think the Orcrist looks better. Realistically I think the blade shape lends itself to a one handed sword used with a shield. Like albion's berserker.

It works really well in the film I might add. So I would like them to make a European style sword but with a lot of minor details.

Actually, a few thousand years old. This material has been popular for custom knife handles for a very long time. I have been working this and similar
materials for almost 30 years and really, although it may appear so, there is nothing casual about it. It is a fantastic material and a perfect choice for this build application.

QQ Orcrist and Glamdring weren't made in Moria/Eregion, they were forged in Gondolin, the Hidden Rock of High King Turgon of the Noldor...Glamdring was Turgon's sword, and Orcrist was (I believe) the blade of the Captain of the Fountain Guard, Turgon's personal palace guard.
Also... Orcrist was made before dragons existed... please read the Silmarillion, guys, you're killing me, and probably quite a few other LOTR fans.
+Garrett Barker Dragons did exist before the founding of Gondolin, at least Glaurung did, but no dragon had been slain when Orcrist was made so it's unlikely that it had a dragon tooth for a hilt.
At the founding of Gondolin, if Glaurung had already been created, then he would have in his infancy. Glaurung wasn't allowed out of Angband until about 20-50 years before the Dagor Bragollach, the Battle of Sudden Flame. Gondolin was established within the first 150 or so years after the Siege of Angband began with the Dagor Aglareb, "Glorious Battle." So Gondolin would have been established at minimum 300 or so years before Glaurung was even known to exist by any outside Angband. These numbers are just off the top of my head, so they might not be exact, but they should be reasonably close.

Ken MacMillan I'm partial to narsil/anduril because I love longswords. However there's a reason I've watched this build so many times
Anduril is the better sword in a fight but I just think the Orcrist looks better. Realistically I think the blade shape lends itself to a one handed sword used with a shield. Like albion's berserker.

+Ash Blackwind To fully represent Kylo's saber would mean a lot of small detail to make it look like a flame rather than a light beam. Kylo's saber is like this fire very unstable blade. It works really well in the film I might add. So I would like them to make a European style sword but with a lot of minor details.

+HumanTransmutation they did Yoda's lightsaber as a katana I believe, but I would like to see other styles. Count Dooku's saber as more of a rapier blade, since the design is supposed to reflect a more elegant fencing style.
