I love north Wales such a pretty place , I was looking for a cheapish guest house in Llandudno for next few days but it's over £100+ so didn't find anywhere , we love haven at hafan y mor , have to go back there to explore north Wales x
Great bid as always. Another few tips for paddleboarding: get a cheap pair of aqua shoes to protect your tootsies when you have to wade in before getting on. You can always take them off and stick em under the bungee once on, also a small waterproof bag to put keys etc in then clip to the bungee so won't fall off if board tips or weather gets a bit rough. The waterproof bags that roll then clip together at the top are good for that as you can clip it round the bungee. Look forward to more paddlings from you. X😎

@@wanderingwhere No worries. 4 yrs paddleboarding taught me a thing or 2. I now have a drybag rucksack that works same way and I put that on the board clipped on with my keys, drink lunch emergency foil blanket in. Sometimes in summer I'll stay on the board 5 or 6 hours. Also you need to check out the Chesterfield canal in South Yorkshire. I love paddling thro Drakeholes Tunnel. Not long paddle but a bit early and fun. Lol.x
I love the slate quarry in llanberis... if you go back do the snakes and ladders route.... I'm only a 25 minute drive from llanberis
The first shack with the stone crushing and the rails was exactly that, they haul the ore there probably with a little locomotive and then crush it before hauling it off to be refined some where else. The huge pile of gravel jutting out with the road on top you where standing on was an absolutely massive waist rock pile, ( makes me wonder if there are massive underground workings from before the strip mining). The mining life was extremely difficult and hazardous. Many miners lost thier lives from cave ins and falling rocks, and even an open pit mine can be just as dangerous. And if they where mining underground they may have to head deal with silicafaction ( I'm not saying that right) where rock dust gets in the lungs and starts to solidify causing emphazima and other lung sickness. They often worked hard to provide for thier families but not live long them selves.

Paddleboarding: get one of the waterproof bags/plastic bottles for your keys. Water and key remotes just don’t mix!

I've been there quite a few times, and there's a spec up a random road nearby that has space for about 4/5 cars (Free of course). You enter the actual quarry half way up, you can climb down and up the other side and pretty much carry on until the top. Full of amazing buildings, and one of them is in good condition with boots and clothes left from the miners. Lots of abandoned machinery, too. There's so much to explore there, you need a few days at least.

An idea for your car keys, get a dry key cut with no fob, put it on a string when your on the water round your neck. Use this to manually lock and unlock your car. And leave your keyfob in the car out of sight. You wont damage your remote key that way.

that 2nd sport is my ideal launch spot for the paddle board, llyn Dinas, theres a circular walk you can do around that area from Aberglaslyn

Great views and lovely weather! Shame you couldn't have a proper session on the paddle board. I know some of your viewers might know but some may not know that some bodies of water require a licence from the canal and water trust, would maybe be a good idea to mention this in a future video for the safety of first timers to the sport. @@MrAndRob may I add the fine is a grand for any unlicensed canoe, kayak or paddle bourd where as a licence will cost you round 20 quid depending of vessel size n I think it lasts 2- days cover.
Next time you go to dinorwic quarry park at the top and from the viewpoint try and pick out the lady of snowdon on the side of the mountain opposite.
Wobble bording is the aquatic to snow boarding , i get it , i said before, get Yourself an inflatable Canadian canoe , plug it into your car battery ,sod all that 450 pumping malarky ,throw all your kit in and go island wild camping , you could even go 1 step further and get a small electric motor, endless potential 🤷🏽♂️

Great video again mate! I haven't done that quarry walk either so thats another added to the list haha 😂 You know what you need for cooking? one of those two burner gas hobs that fold up like a suitcase and have a little external gas bottle you attach to them, the gas should last longer for you and you can cook two things at once then as well, you can get them for around £30 from go outdoors and the like 👍
