Ye enjoyed that a true little Aussie family enjoying our beautiful country in a great ute planning to buy one very soon many are really enjoying this ute cheers
Love the vid mate. Keep em coming! We just bought a Connon L as a second car and are just blown away at how great it actually is! Yours must be fun with the twin lockers! Very capable vehicle and heaps of features for the price! Oh, and and can't forget to mention the 7 year/unlimited km warranty! Can not beat that! That was the main reason we gave the GWM a good look over most other utes.😊 Think about that, haters.... I'm just sayin...
A bit hard to tell, but if you want some good advice, get yourself a quality air compressor and a good tyre deflator. Don't be afraid to let those tyres down low. Each vehicle is different so don't take any ones word of advice. That sand isn't that soft, so just remember for when you go beach driving. I've got a big heavy Prado and do a lot of soft stuff, will happily take them down to 10psi, lower if I need. All you do is drive to the conditions, low tyres means low speed.
Great advice mate, thanks! Dropping the pressure would have made a world of difference. Wanted to see how far we'd get on street pressure, but ended up editing the commentary about that out. Thanks for the advice, and for the support. Aussie Dadz - Jim.
It was really impressive mate! Both vehicles were still running 35-40psi and the XSR just walked through most of it! Totall part of our very scientific testing approach of course 🙄, not because we were too bloody lazy to air down. 🤣🤣🤣
Guys, drop your tyre pressures, and roll back when it drops, harden the ground and try again, no one does this, then puts it in low with the diff lock, do that first.....
Mate, I would have to research as I had the xsr. On the cannon x, I'm not at all sure. If you need the info, sing out and I'll grab it tomorrow from the dealer for you.
Hi mate, it wasn't left-hand drive. We were using the front-facing phone camera to record parts of this, so the image was mirrored. We'll work out how to fix this in editing next time.
I can understand your opinion mate. We're not trying to convince anyone of anything here, so each to their own I reckon. I know that I certainly didn't have very high expectations when we first started talking about these, but I am pretty impressed with the vehicles now we've spent some time driving them. I'd love it if we made vehicles in Australia, but they've all got to come from somewhere overseas right? Besides, as a family man without loads of spare cash to drop, the price point makes these pretty attractive!
For the price they're hard to beat - sure you can spend 20-30k more for Hilux/Ranger but you demonstrated the GWM is perfectly capable of delivering at a level beyond which most people will use it! It's a good ute at a good price and will do what you want / need it to do!@@AussieDadz
You're spot on there mate. We'll be heading out soon to try it out on a couple of rocky trails so we can give it a bit more of a test. We'll see how stuck a few bad decisions and poor choices can get us! 🤣🤣
@rogersinclair6061 we are not. When you swi5ch phone to selfie it has the mirror effect which makes it look that way. As you see at end of vid when im out of car, I get in the right hand side ...cheers buddy!!!

Great video mate. Seriously considering the XSR.
Black colour looks best than other colour for xsr. Waiting for next year shannhai with split tailgate and improved interior.
this Dad is so funny, I like him very much.

That was all done on 40psi? @@AussieDadz Drop to 18/20, and it would have made light work of it. Great job. Definitely impressed with the XSR.

Nice video, if your stuck in the sand try turning your steering wheel left and right quickly it helps the car crawl out of the dirty as you accelerate
Hi there where is the sand mode on the GWm cannon please?
