Awesome video, you did the job using simple tools that we all have laying around the shed which makes it real for the DIY on a typical Sunday pal. I'm a vectra owner so this video goes straight into my favourites
Thank You from Nottingham, Robin Hoods Country 🤣👍👍

So glad you liked it... I like doing little jobs that save money... and you don't have to take the whole car apart too do....plus if it helps a couple of people and saves them money... that's a bonus to... many thanks Gabriel....

I have a wiper removal tool... the main reason I did it the way I did is for people who don't have tools and to leave everything on the car.... Darren

Thanks Darren. I need to do mine. Wipers are flapping like flippers. But FYI you can buy a wiper removal tool online for £3 (also useful to pull battery connectors off). That would enable removal of that infernal plastic scuttle. It is a bummer that the arms cost so much. I don't trust the repair clips as my joints are well worn.

Steve Carter I used the repair clips and they lasted a fortnight.. don't buy the cheap removal tool.. the lug with snap if you have a stubborn wiperarm.. I broke 2... glad it helped thou...

I removed my wiper arms by unscrewing the arm retaining nut until it was loose, then using mole grips or water pump pliers, hooked one jaw under the wiper arm and the other on top of the nut. Squeeze gently and the arm popped off and the nut stops it flying off - easy peasy - no extractor required.

Bloody good idea, I do have my wiper removal tool but I don't know where it is so I might give this a shot as I've heard horror stories of people cracking their windshield. My driver's side linkage has just popped off for the first time (coincidentally my car is a Saab 93 56 plate) which are pretty much the same cars as the Vectra c. Quick jaunt to the scrapyard, linkage off a donor Vectra or Saab and job done. Hopefully 😂😂. Thanks for the upload.

Buy a new set... was only £10 from eBay... it is alot quicker this way... yeah you do have to be careful of the screen mate...

@@darrencarter1227 I got it done in ten minutes. I removed the rubber weather shield, the far left grommet and managed to pry up the plastic enough to reach in and pop the joint back on. I've bought a replacement bush to pop into place when it arrives. My Saab has just turned 184100 miles and this is only the 2nd repair I've had to do. The first was the power steering plug shorted. 20 minute fix.

Darren Carter I got them fitted no problem, but i had to remove the wiper arms coz i just couldn't get as much room as you did. It was -3 so when i bent the plastic it started cracking. Anyway i was about to remove the whole mechanism until i found your video. Cheers mate.
