Informative video; thanks. I am a short guy; 29 inch (74 cm) inside leg; I have always had trouble with seat height; you seem to be able to flat foot the tiger do you reckon I could get on with the height?
Seat height would not be an issue for you Paul, I have the same inseam and with riding boots as you can see I'm flat footed, the adjustable seat hight for the low is 760 or 790mm.
The whole chassis has been dropped, so I think you have around 40mm less suspension travel than the standard, that plus the lower seat gives you the low ride height. One thing to take in consideration is your total load carrying capacity has dropped to 140kg compared to the standard which is just over 200kg, not any good 2 up touring. I think I touched on that in my first video walkaround.
Thanks for the answer. I’m 5’5” and been riding Yamaha Tracer 900 past few years, with seat height of 845mm. But bike is very slim so reaching ground was not an issue. Tiger standard seat height 810mm wolud suggest it’s lower than Tracer, but is maybe wider....Trying to figure out if Tiger would fit my height. Will have to sit on it, and maybe go with low seat only.
Hi I'm using the Givi ST602 tank lock bag, it simply snaps onto the tank ring which you buy separately depending on the bike you have, easy to remove for fuelling up, I like it because the bag being semi rigid doesn't come in contact with the tank like the stap or magnet bags with the chance of scuffing your paint. Obviously the tank lock system comes in a variety of different size bags depending on what your needs are.
Nice review! I pretty much agree with everything you say, I even have the Rox risers fitted to my XRx. I have the comfort seat as standard on mine and it is all day comfortable. However being 1.86m (6ft 2) tall I have had all sorts of issues with the screen, mostly noise with the bigger touring screen, but quite bad head buffeting with the standard screen.
Cheers Tony, being vertically challenged the screen works well (oh to be a bit taller) apart from the mic issues but I'm thinking about getting a vario type extension for the colder months when I don't need the direct air flow.
Hi mate, very helpful review, I was in my local Triumph dealer looking at the XRx low last week and was a bit concerned about the footpegs, I'm trying to arrange a test ride on the full height model but with the low seat fitted to see what the difference is. Meanwhile, is that the Daytona M-Star GTX boots you have there? If so how do you rate them.
Hi Mark I tried both versions as well but found the low to feel the best for me, my boots are the daytona GTX, they are the most expensive boots I have ever purchased and by far the best, quality made and very comfortable on and off the bike after the initial break in, l hope to have them for a very long time.
Hello, I fitted a Puig clip on Wind deflector to the screen. It's adjustable so you can direct the air flow depending on the weather. Also fitted the XC rises which are 30mm higher than the XRXs, a cheaper option than the Rox. A great bike but I found it a little top heavy when pushing it around. Ride safe.
Good review with all the real world relevant information a biker wants from a review such as this one so well done bud
Thank you Raymond
I really appreciate your reviews. I have a 2017 Street Twin and the Tiger 800 XRX low seems like a good bike to transition to. Thanks.
Cheers Brad, the street twin would be a great fun bike for an everyday commuter, thanks for watching.

Cheers thanks for the reply; effeminately worth a look. Many Thanks and ride safe.
Is your bike having low seat only or low chasy and low seat? Stock seat height (lower position) is 810mm

Good review - the Tiger has been incredibly popular here, and it's not surprising that it is. It's a great bike 👌😎
Thank you MotoKari
What tank bag are you using to have that funky lock ring around the gas cap? What is the ring?

wow, nice review...
Thank you
Mate how tall are you and your weight? Looking at one of these lower triumphs. Cheers
I'm 5'4 70kg, I made another video, my first, which has more information about the bike.

Hippo-Drones cheers👍 thanks for watching
leovince looks good.

Cheers Paul, I just purchased a MRA sport X-Creen so will be fitting and trying that out soon.
