I would go with the tiger as it's got a bigger market footprint in India and Italians are usually expensive to maintain. Love to have a Ducati, but will have to wait till their after sales and dealership network improves.
I've been riding for 40 years, started on dirtbikes and raced motocross as a kid...over the years I kept gravitating to Harley-Davidsons...and each new bike got bigger and bigger..and over the last few years I found I was riding less and less,,,then last year I realized I did not love riding like I used to, i realized that I didn't really like H-D bikes, for many reasons. Then I saw a 2017 Ducati Multistrada at a local shop, and I was floored. It was beautiful, wickedly powerful, and performed at a level I had never before experienced. There is just a feeling of passion that is infused into the design and build of the Ducati that I haven't experienced before. I am now putting about 1,000 miles a month on my Multistrada, and could not be happier with this bike...it is sheer perfection for the way I like to ride.
I had a tiger xrx, put 26000 miles on it, with no problems, a fantastic bike, was far to nice to run through another UK winter, was only reason I let it go, currently riding a 17 year old BMW gs f 650, another great bike.
Very precise review. In the end you could've compared the service intervals & maintanence costs since being ADV bikes, they're expected to cover a lot of kms!
do not buy a ducati, from misaligned panels, rust in the exhaust, vibrations at all rotations, very noisy engine after 10.000km, stupidly expensive maintenance and poor customer service, I'm seriously sorry I bought this bike, stay away from ducati
