Establish a regular time to listen. Do it in the car/subway, do it during the morning jog, do it while cooking dinner. Then play with ideas that are new. If they say try learning Spanish for a week, give it a try. 3) Hold written standards Write out what you expect from other people and yourself, and just ask for it to be fulfilled every time. When they say "no," hang up the phone and ask again the next day. Ask yourself to do stuff on your list, and keep bothering yourself every week until it gets done. Set it as a recurring reminder on your calendar on your phone, set it as a scheduled text message or email to yourself.
