It's nice to see that they used thinner/lighter wood for most of the cabinet and bed construction. Too many people overload the pre-2008 E150's and they simply aren't built to take it. They are often near their GVWR with just a conversion company interior and a few passengers.
That high top adds 900lbs....I got a 1998 and have the original paperwork from the Conversion company. Along with the Schematics, Full Size wiring diagram and extra harnesses if needed for upgrading. It tells you towing capacity...And it's not 7000lbs..More like 2400lbs.. But you remove them seats in the rear. You saved 450lbs. remove them upper cabinets. As they are over built to start with. Save 90lbs... So if you can keep the build weight below 500lbs. You're not over weight...
@@WizzRacing I'm not saying converting a pre-2008 E150 can't be done but it does mean being much more cautious about total weight vs a 250 or 350. I see far too many #Vanlife'rs that don't understand their vehicles actual weight capacity, resulting in dangerously overloaded 1/2 ton vans. To them it's just a "big work van" and there is no difference. The nice thing about '08 or newer Econolines is that they got a boost in the GVWR department across the line. A 2014 E150 for example could be optioned with nearly the same GVWR a 1996 E250 had. Possibly higher. A properly optioned 2014 E250 is rated higher still.
I have a ‘98 econoline 150 and thank you for the heads up. I will be carrying dehydrated food, freeze dried and my own home canned meats in pint size jars. I will definitely keep the weight in mind as I tend to be an overpacker and my husband constantly reminds me of this, lol!
Need to do a full review on the lifted 250 in the back the silver one. Details on lift. Details on accessories like the goodies. Awesome video. I have the same van. Bout to do the same thing but try to keep ceilings and walls original
I have 1999 triton E150, live it! Almost 3 yrs now. I have my 2 grown children 100 watts hard solar panel and bought the weather proof flexy solar panels like you have. Would you please tell me how you keep your solar panels on top so they don't fly off? I am awaiting 1- 100 way to put on my hood. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Patrick! I heard her say that the van is the same length as any other vehicle on the road, just after saying that they sold the shuttle bus. From that I gleaned that they sold the bus because it was so big. That’s a weak reason to assume that, so I wonder if they told you why they got rid of the shuttle bus? Do you have any insight into that choice? I appreciate the tours you give us and this is another good one! Having forgotten my instagram details, I am not able to get on. I should have checked before I started this comment but if you didn’t post their email, maybe they are close enough to comment on contact info and what (if anything) was the issue with the shuttle bus?
There wasn't any issue with the shuttle bus. We loved it. Just were on the road. And we just finished building another. We like to see the different ways you can make things work in there. We're in New Jersey if you're in the market.
I really wish I would have done this when I turned 20 im 26 now I would only do it if I had a friend with some land and didn’t mind me camping on his land I would do it just to be rent free😅
You have very few feet to play with.. It has to be in the middle forward part of them High Tops...Any Max Air fan will fit.. And make sure you look where you are going to cut that hole. Remove the ceiling plywood to look for any support beam.. As not all of them High Tops are from one supplier...As each mold can be different where they put them..
@alextheeweeb do you understand what misogynistic means? Did you read what I said, as a minimalist man, why would you bring a woman, when women inherently can't be minimal, things men don't even think to want, women need! A man can love in the woods and be fine, a woman would come and want comfort then complain. It would be a nightmare to bring a woman with you. The only thing she could offer is s*x but after that she has to Go!!!
@@Gtfoh37 yes! my boyfriend and i are building an off grid home by ourselves and looking for a van to rebuild and live in as we can’t “camp” and live in hot tents on our property while we do so!
Pretty awesome budget build.
I definitely agree with you on that they did a great job because it was DIY I love it..
SIMPLE AND FUNCTIONAL. LIKE IT.
Yes 🙌🏼
Love the simplicity in this build. Best wishes to this lovely couple. Norway 🇳🇴, how wonderful!
Thank you so much!
Simple and efficient for a single person
Glad you like it

Really nice job - thanks for sharing!
Thank you too!
That van in the back is awesome
Thank you. That is the Mega Airstream.
Thanks Patrick for finding another really nice build... great job you guys... bon chance' in Norway
Glad you enjoyed it
Great looking van, very well done, everything ya need. It gives me ideas, thank you foe sharing. Nice job Patrick. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Glad you like it
Everything?....no TOILET.....
Very nice. I love the upgrade built in a vintage van.
They did a good job
Nice simple build, great design
EXCELLENT vs budget 👌
Yes 🙌🏼
Nice build. Hope to do the same in the near future. Thanks for the ideas.
You can do it!
Thanks Patrick
Nice Build …
Very welcome
Nice job on the build. Good luck in Norway.
Thanks, you too!
Beautiful! They really have a creative eye and a great thought process! Can't wait to see the next build!
Thank you so much!
Great job. With a conversion van the walls are already insulated. #winning
Appreciate the feedback
Thanks. Might be buying one tomorrow!

Filming this on iPhone you need to tap and hold the screen so the lighting stays fixed and it doesn’t auto dim when you move around.
This was not filmed on a cell phone
It's such a nice job. Well done. I feel bad for the man. He has to crouch at his dinette. I would break mentally.
Tight fit
I would image he usually sits on the other side. If you look again, there are no cabinets above the other seat.
NJOA,,,PATRICK
Yes 🙌🏼
How do you put your solar panels on top of your roof do you use any glue and what kind❤❤
They use special sheet metal screws, and an RV roof sealant
It's definitely a pretty good out vehicle if it is done DIY and not manufactured buy some Corporation.. because as usual in my eyes DIY is King..
They did a great job for so little money
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures so true my friend so true I couldn't agree with you more..
very nice build 🚙👍
Love the feedback
van life AND norway, man im jealous
Go for it
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Can you put a roof rack on a extension ljke this?
Cute build-wish the opted out of the uppers around the bench seating….looks like he can’t sit up straight in it
Next time
No mention of a toilet or shower.
The kitchen sink faucet works outside too and they had a Porta potty at one time
He could remove the cushion there, so he can fit at table. Maybe staple down some flat carpet on there for padding.

They sold the shuttle bus because they started to travel internationally. This van was also sold. Now they just finished building another shuttle bus

Hi dude 🤘 TQ sharing video dude from Malaysia 🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur fan's watching 😅
Awesome thank you!
I want to see that e250 in the back
Full tour on this channel. Sort by most popular.
@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures found it thanks
I'm in the middle of doing the plumbing on my sink and I can see that their sink is not hooked up!
Really?
Great Job you guys' I have this van and really feel like" this is me"". Do you guys sell a blue print on this
Great idea
Is this still for sale
Sorry, no we already sold it but we should be posting our new shuttle bus up for sale very soon.
It’s sold so quickly but they do have a new build for sale now

Have to ask .. 2001 ... how many miles? New motor etc? Difficulty getting parts?
Check the date of the video this did sell about a week after the video was posted
400 watt for those 2 panels. Seem small. Do you have the brand and cost PLS.
I believe they misspoke
Where is the toilet?
Is it sold?
Yes
Why do you insulate the wheel well?
Noise reduction
What do they do when someone has to FART?
Cork it!😷
What's the name of that roof fan/vent? And how dud you install it? I'm working on a Ford econoline conversion right now too

How tall is bro ?
He is 6 foot one
Kind of sucks knowing it's just an ad. Are they all like that now a days?
Where's the potty?
They can bring a portable potty if needed
Bathroom???????
Porta potty
as a man, who is trying to be minimal, the worst thing you can do is invite a woman along with you doing this!
