I’ve never been courageous enough to start with 220, but your great video has me convinced, a little Honda is my first project coming up very soon. Your’s is my new favourite channel, thanks.
Thanks for the nice comment! The starting grit depends on the condition of the part. If it doesn't have deep scratches you could likely start with a finer grit such as 400, but I've always started with 220 and it has worked okay for me. Good luck with that Honda project - it's always nice to hear about another one being given a second life!
I am gathering shop manuals and parts catalogs for several motorcycles I have collected over the years. Some in terrible shape, some not so bad. Now that I am old and slow I'm hoping to revive some machines of my youth. Should be fun and information like yours will help me figure out which methods work and don't work for restorations. Thanks for making your videos!
