    Anyone remember when this used to be the Pacific Beach Hotel? Having the diver come down with the personalized birthday/special day signage was always special. So many good places to eat here that I have another video next week just focusing on the restaurants.

    Great video! Love that it's in 4K, as it makes the rooms, amenities and views that much more amazing. I will book this hotel for our trip this June based on your videos.

    stayed at the Marriott a few yards away, very disappointing. for sure I'll be booking this resort next year, great video friend, I like staying in this area of Waikiki, because of the morning spam/eggs/& rice at McDonalds

    Hello my friends. Question, can I take my cooler with my drinks to the pool? Thanks

      Thats a good question and I am not sure. I have brought hydro flasks and other containers with me so if you want to put something "special" inside then maybe store it in your room and refill as needed.

    Anyone able to provide some advice on which might be better for a family of four (two young children) traveling without a car, the Alohilani Resort or the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa or the Hilton Hawaiian Village?

      Like all things is depends @christian but let me try and give you some thoughts to consider. If you want to be on a true resort property where you do not have to leave for food and the beach is right there then Hilton Hawaiian Village is your best bet. The con for HHV is it can be quite crowded and "touristy". Many love this property and come back year after year. If your kids love the pool and games then Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is where I would recommend, they just finished a multi million dollar renovation on the pool deck, I have a video review on that up, check it out. Both the Marriott and 'Alohilani are right across the street from Waikiki beach, with amazing view potential and in the heart of Waikiki. You wont go wrong with any of the 3 options you laid out. Enjoy!

    Is this a hotel that is family or kid heavy? Looking for something more adult

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Compared to many of the other hotels I have reviewed in Waikiki I would say this is more of an adult hotel. There are kids and families for sure but the pool area is really designed for adults, especially at night with the live dj and sound system. If you get access to the longboard club you will see mostly adults but there were several families when I visited. Other then the proximity to the beach there isnt much on the property catering to kids. Sheraton Waikiki, Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort are definitely more family oriented. You may also want to consider Royal Hawaiian, a bit more of an adult crowd, similar to 'Alohilani. Have fun!

    I hate that just about every room in waikiki has a shower curtain why

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting observation, I never really paid attention to this in Waikiki hotels. I wonder if its a holdover from the older designs when most of these hotels were originally built.

      @@suitesandlobbies yeah I’m not saying that the hotels aren’t nice or I wouldn’t want to stay in any of them when I’m out there next year it’s just more of a pet peeve of mine when staying at a hotel. I just feel like they’re not as clean as a glass doorand I don’t feel like it’s a major luxury item lol

    Great video! Would you happen to remember what the room number was for the ocean front view room?

    • @suitesandlobbies
      @suitesandlobbies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh shucks I dont, I will need to record that in the future. There are two towers at the 'Alohilani so make sure you are in the oceanside tower, and then an ocean front room. Let me know how it goes.
