I love the fact that Nemesis is totally driven to complete his mission. Even while Carlos is attacking Nemesis, he still prioritises hunting after Jill.
And the only time Nemesis ever goes after Carlos is because he's in the way, but if there's a clear path, he breaks off and goes back to his primary objective.
@@Jarock316 I think it’s canon that Nemesis will kill anybody that’s not S.T.A.R.S if he sees them hanging out with Jill or any other member too much, because then he thinks they’re working together and that she told them Umbrella’s secrets. Honestly, I the thing I find most terrifying about Nemesis is his ability to cancel attacks if they miss. You think “Oh, now’s my time to attack.” But then you see him stop mid-way and he starts to sprint at you as you raise your gun. His unpredictable nature makes him a genuine threat and the best antagonist of the RE series, in terms of enemies.
He just wants to show us he has good manners. And that is when he scared the hell out of me. I thought I was safe. Oh no, he is coming through doors after me.

The only gun thats useful is grenade launcher with cryo bombs and you need to be lucky cause that big guy can dodge like a professional dodgeball player
totally agree. Best enemy. He moves, I don't know, like the 'giant dog' in RE2. Very agile, intimidating... fun. I like how he runs after you like a football player.. it reminds me of Terminator when he's running in the movie and you can see through his eyes and the computer and everything
You are an evade mechanic master. I've never seen someone dodge so fluently and you don't even use corners to get Nemy stuck. You are awesome, like and sub.
Its actually pretty easy if you find a zombie's attack range and other enemy attack Animations! But the hardest to try to dodge are the hunters since they're hella fast
@@eliwoodnguyen1505 okay... Now THAT requires practice and the near (damn good) estimation of the zombie grabbing distance I practice in mercenaries mode btw!
Shows how much we get to see Nemesis stalking Jill in his 1st form compared to RE3 remake where he chases Jill in only one section of the game. I feel like they underexploited him and missed some great opportunities in this remake.
they dropped the ball in a lot of areas. Its okay to say it. No clock tower, barely any rpd, No park, No factory, No gravedigger-Giant Spider-crows, No Barry Burton, replaced mercenaries with that cringe resistance mode that takes 10 min to find a match. I mean come on..
Yeah dude, they should focus more on exploring the entire city and relentless stalking of nemesis plus a little bit telltale where you choose how to fight or hide like the original game
@@ImonlyJK RPD has the same general layout available to explore. The power substation was atmospherically improved and expanded, construction site expanded w/stage 1 Nemesis boss fight added, sewers expanded, hospital expanded, and NEST 2 added. Parasite zombies and pale heads added, though the latter are just sturdier and more erratic zombies, so I don't give as many marks for that. There's also more expansion of the lore via notes. As much as I love Barry, he's a deus ex machina in RE3, and removing his rescue at the end is better storytelling. If you really wanted to nitpick, you also missed the very forgettable worms, which are about as impactful as the crows, though the latter would at least be a nice atmospheric touch. After what they did with the drain deimos, not really missing the spiders since that would feel like what they're doing with too many zombie varieties instead of a broader overall bestiary. The clock tower also isn't a significant loss since the only real purpose it served was RE1 aesthetics nostalgia; the "j/k, you're stuck here" moment was moved to the beginning, where it makes more sense and delivers a stronger sense of "no escape" as you head into the game proper; I don't really see a problem with otherwise moving the resources spent on it to more narratively significant areas like the hospital. Swapping the "3 second crisis decisions" with QTEs is more a ymmv kind of thing, though it'd be nice if the QTEs were at least moderately difficult, but in the end it's about the same as being given 3 years to press a button to negate a Nemesis encounter (or death, as is the case in the remake). That's not to say that there aren't criticisms to be had. -Grenades either shouldn't exist, shouldn't one-shot Nemesis at anything above Assisted, or should be restricted to Carlos' sections where they're more thematically appropriate. -Nicholai lost some development with the removal UBCS supervisors mini-arc, which is something that just shouldn't happen. -Carlos getting a watered down version of the DLC gas station mission from RE2:RE instead of a proper boss fight is lame; if they wanted to save Nemesis for Jill, then Gravedigger, a T-103, or even something new would've been better options than a zombie marathon. -It's also kinda sad that they couldn't find more ways to keep a similar amount of puzzles, even if it was something as arbitrary as lockpicking. -And perhaps the largest offense is how the city streets, which should feel like one of the most expansive areas of the game, is practically on rails. There's only one option to make Nemesis really vary his stalking, which comes down to whether you cut through the donut shop or go up through the warehouse. There should've been a lot more of that.

The original to this day is still incredibly horrifying, especially the cutscenes where he kills Brad and Mikhail. The REmake, at least to me, failed to capture what made the original Nemesis such a legendary monster. It's kind of a shame, really. Twenty one years later and the original Nemesis will always be the best Nemesis and in my opinion, the best monster in Resident Evil history.
He was ok in the remake, but not for that long. That scripted fight in the rooftop of that burning construction site was the most similar to these fights in the original. They mutate him way to soon from his humanoid form. His second form in the remake was pretty goofy. His second form looked like xenomorph(aliens) and a plucked chicken combined, one of his attacks is literally motor boating jill lol. The fights in his second form is just him running around Jill like an excited dog after some damage.
@@carlitosway917 I think they should have saved that form for the third fight only, and the actual 2nd form being shirtless like the original, so the second and third fights would have been really different

Literally an incredible game but out of all the battles with Nemmy there’s something about the showdown in the waste disposal room that intrigues me. The fact that Nemesis is clearly and visibly weakened by this point he’s still giving it his all in and trying to kill Jill... just an unstoppable machine! Incredible video quality 👏🏻
Fight in the waste disposal room is technically the last time we fight Nemesis, because the tyrant body dies, leading the parasite to mutate and completely take over.
What's amazing too is that if you use the environment acid in the area, it'll melt off parts of his body and he will continue fighting you literally with no head and one arm left.

I’m still so salty they cut out the police station, imagine how terrifying it would be fighting Nemesis and seeing him sprint at you through a darks ass hallway in the remake. Capcom failed my boy.
I mean, the part where Nemmy jumps in from that window in front of the stairs in RPD is literally the most iconic part of the classic game. You have to be drunk to not include that in the remake, along with many other parts they cut and changed.
@@ZombiestFever That window doesn't exist in RE2 Remake. I mean there is a window, but it's on the other wall. They could have done something creative to remake that part. But Jill doesn't even go to RPD and that's the bigger issue.

This the best version. It's like you're playing a resident evil game with a mini boss following you. After many fights with him you learn gradually that this guy wont stop, and it begins to terrify you. As scary as nemesis looks, its after a couple encounters that you realize his intelligence and his relentless are far more terrifying than any monster you ever seen. Classic.
Nah, you put him down to collect the loot and don't have to worry about him until the next scripted encounter. Remake Nemesis is more of a hybrid of OG Nemesis' aggression and Remake Mr. X's resilience. You can't knock Remake Nemesis on his ass and proceed to go sightseeing and expect everything to be okay like you could before; he keeps getting up until you reach the points where he's scripted to take a break. The only problem is that there aren't more segments with that kind of chase and too much cinematic instead of player-control, but people couldn't even handle Mr. X who just walks at you.
@@Onigumo. Or you could take a minute to see how he acts. @@kizoyah9253 big boss doesnt know what hes talking about, 1st this was a ps1 game, not ps2, 2nd the problem with the remake is not nemesis using weapons, its that they cut out the best parts of the game, meaning nemesis not being an ai controlled enemy that can appear anytime, but instead reduced to just a few 100% scripted encounters, and also big parts of the game itself, like the entire clocktower. nobody (or atleast not the majority of people) is complaining about arbitrary changes like "nemesis uses weapons i dont like", if that were the case, everyone would have hated the re2 remake too, but it was very well received.
I only saw the remake first. So when I finished the game I was disappointed thinking "This is Nemesis? This is supposed to be one of the greatest horror monsters in video game history? Dont be STOOPID!!! All I was trying to say is that this HD remaster upscaled RE3 into looking like a PS2 release. I never played The Originals before playing the remakes of 2 and 3, but I still thought Nemesis was scary in the 2020 remake. I was thinking, "What on Earth is it going to take to kill this thing?!" Guess that's why Umbrella called it Project _Nemesis._
psydeffex yup this is because nemesis was not the only BOW here he was only the outer body shell there was also the NT parasite 🦠 as well this is actually what I love about the originals it makes it even that more terrifying you think you got ride of nemesis but there was something else there with him😳 it makes his background that more creepier.

@@eren7kruger129 you seem to be the only one who dislikes the Shirtless nemesis, I mean we're not liking him cause his body is showing no, he just looks badass like that because of the mutated tenticles coming out of his one arm and all over the upper back of his body along side those freaky huge veins out of his neck & connecting to his back, personally its my favourite look of him.
Imagine a bigger racoon city streets and actually a police station. And you have nemesis chasing you around Mr.X style, only difference is that he breaks into a sprint as soon a she hears you running or shooting nearby. I just realized something, jill valentine in re3 is the only protagonist who didnt receive any help in defeating the final boss. In re1, chris received help from brad by giving him the launcher, in re2 ada help both leon and claire defeat the tyrant and also they help each other defeat the final birkin, ada helped leon in re4 kill saddler, chris and sheva worked together to kill wesker, ethan in re7 received help from soldiers. @@damiangallo4185 lol that's your opinion, mine is different. I didn't intend it to compare to the other games. Still, it's still more of horror for me. Imagine Nemesis pursuing you throughout the game, not knowing when he will come out.
13:49 A friend of mine once asked me why Nemesis walks into the flames after enduring enough damage from Jill. I've heard a few people say that Nemesis does it simply because he "gives up" at that moment, unaware of the mutations that will later occur to his body. But I don't think that's the case at all, it just seems out of character for him to do that, especially considering the fact Nemesis' only drive is to hunt down the S.T.A.R.S members, no matter what it takes. I think the *real* reason why Nemesis does that is not because he's unaware of his metamorphic abilities, but actually because of the opposite. He *is* aware that the more damage he takes, the more his body will mutate and adapt to become more efficient at hunting down Jill. So basically, he decides to take a nap in the flames so he sustains even more damage, causing the mutations to occur at an even faster rate. In my opinion, that shows how smart, lethal and overall unstoppable Nemesis really was. As a comment I saw in the past said, it literally took the destruction of Raccoon City to put him down for good. Because I doubt he would be truly unable to recover after the Railgun Cannon blast from Jill, and the subsequent magnum rounds. A few more mutations, and that would be it. Nemesis would be back.
That's a really good analysis. But, actually, from what I gathered, the G Virus and the T Veronica (and other viruses and parasites down the series that I lost track of) are the viruses that promote constant physical mutations in their hosts. Nemesis was created by taking some poor guy who passed through the Tyrant program and injected a parasite that was created through T Virus research. As any other virus, the T Virus is susceptible to mutation very quickly, but unlike other virus, it just keeps its host in a dead/alive state, but not on a full regeneration state, like the G Virus (remember how William Birkin's form would radically change after every encounter?). It might even create physical mutations, but that's rare (hence the Tyrant project). Nemesis stays mostly the same throughout the game, except for his clothes that reveals more tentacles (maybe that could be a mutation, idk). What makes him intelligent is the parasite, it functions as his AI, and that's why Nicholai is after combat data. But the rate of his mutations are way lower than Birkin's and Alexia's. There are plenty of dead "Mr. Xs" and dead US army soldiers in the disposal plant, and what the parasite did after Jill turned on the acid chamber was basically attach itself to those dead Tyrants and that's why it became a big blorb of nothing. So basically, yeah, I think you're right, but I think he might have done that so the special strain of T Virus in him could work faster and he would be able to pick up the fight sooner, but not necessarily to cause more physical mutations.
Now I know why Capcom was inspired by the T-1000. I always thought of Nemesis more like the T-800 (Arnold's model). Nemesis doesn't morph like the T-1000, it's not quick. Also he's not skinny like the T-1000, he's very large physically like the T-800. In the beginning he looks more like Arnold to me than Bob, but near the end, as he morphs more, it becomes more reminiscent of the T-1000 instead

Vega Sanders well thing about Mr X is that he was actually very easy to take out in the original. So buffing him was something to be expected. Compare him to nemesis and mr x is an actual joke. That blows me miles away and creeping me out to my bones, awesome.
No one ever talks about this. But i love how nemesis is noticably more damaged throughout the course of the game. First hes normal, then slowly parts of his leather coat are burned off, then eventually the whole coat is burned off, exposing his squirming tentacles, then we pour acid on him, turning him into uhh… whatever that is, then we use a giant ass gun to finally finish it off, give it a round with the revolver we also get one of the most badass lines gaming history. It looks great, makes him more scary, and changes his look without removing the look of nemesis. Unlike ANOTHER VERSION OF NEMESIS

Everytime someone tells me how great re3 remake is I just assume they never played the original. Never been so disappointed in my whole life. 3 was always my favorite.
Its amazing that Nemesis was so incredibly durable that in his final form, not even the rocket launcher could stop him, it has been the signature of Resident Evil since then and, if my mind serves me correctly, the only monster that the R.L couldn't beat needing a RAIL GUN and six Magnum shots afterwards to finally put down. Goes to show that the original was far from being a simple cash-grab.
@20:06 Holy shit ... sometimes in the waste disposal chamber battle, even after losing his head, Nemesis will continue to attack you as if unphased? Somehow that makes Nemesis 10 times more unstoppable & terrifying. They need to implement this in the remake of this fight.
If you pay attention to the music, the "heartbeats" are not Jill's, they are Nemesis's, they become slow and more discordant as he takes damage, by the end they are only beating at specific points to keep him alive because of all the damage he's taken. It's fantastic music design. At the end, they just beat out of desperation to kill Jill. Absolutely stellar music design.

You think “Oh, now’s my time to attack.” But then you see him stop mid-way and he starts to sprint at you as you raise your gun. His unpredictable nature makes him a genuine threat and the best antagonist of the RE series, in terms of enemies.
Kudos to the ppl who fought nemesis without the help of surrounding glitch to pin him up in the corner.
And also can dodge RPG and Grenade launcher as well.
He played to much fighting Games

@@Savashri " The power substation was atmospherically improved and expanded, construction site expande, sewers expanded, hospital expanded, and NEST 2 added" MOst of this come from Re2make, they just reuse it. In the OG Nikolai told them the clocktower has a team to rescue them all that is why they head to the towel but when they come, everyone die.Ofc, in the OG they have to expand it with lore and puzzle. But cut the whole content, really ? Even the park and dead factory, Jill found out they r using those pig-men or sth to experiment the Tvirus and dumb it at the factory but then the factory has become overload then shit happen, later they found out the huge rail gun where Umbrella employee died because of all the Tyrant experiement down there. If this is not logic then what the hell is a damn hospital lead to the nest then everything happens in the exactly room with the railgun in the nest, ????? they have so much time in the world to build damn railgun and make the room shiny.
@@eren7kruger129 i definitely agree, it would have made the remake a bit more faithful. The old second form was pretty bad ass and intimidating. The third one might have actually worked near the finally.

In "remake" in second form (running alien) neme-remake-sis is even simpler, easier in combat than in the first one: D

Edit :....What have you done Capcom ? :(
Did you play The original?
I was thinking the same thing, i hope that the dodge mechanic will be useful and not broken against nemesis.
He have the dogde mechanic, on one tráiler when he is using a flametrower, Jill shoot him a granade and he dodges for the surprise of the player. I was like NO WAY AGAIN?
Well, Nemmy is actually pretty intelligent, unlike most zombies.
damn...
21:18 - 21:39 - 21:42 There are 4 dead Tyrant/MR. X :D
Three in their Mr. X form and one in their Final form Tyrant T-103.
Those soldiers were able to defeat 4 Tyrants, they were true HEROES :')
They were 5 of them there and one has mutated.
They were 6 in total and part of the same helicopter which dropped Mr X in Re 2
@@Jarl_Juju In the scene shown at the end of which I speak are four Mr. X, before entering that room mentioned, it is true there are 2 more Mr. X.
But that is what MR. X of the helicopter is speculation.
Damn i havw never noticed that
Actually it wasnt the soldiers it was stated in an comic that birkin fought all of them and killed them
@@onionbrotm570 comics are non Canon all the tyrants were killed by the rail gun well at least the super tyrant was
This looks downright jaw dropping! It's so incredibly heartwarming to see my fav childhood game looking its very best! :D
It never gets old to see him chasing Jill.
And of course in re8 chris helped ethan by dropping supplies to him and shoot miranda from a distance. Jill in re3 however defeated nemesis all by herself. It is either her being saved by plot, is the strongest character in the resident evil universe, or just nemesis being incredibly weak.
Nah, more like circumstances. Jill is not just a girl with skills, she is somewhat a superhuman with many weapons and intelligence to react fast.
Carlos saved Jill from virus
Damn, my dude.. you've got those evade moves down like a pro. I never even knew she could shoot from one knee like that, fcking epic!
2:23 I love how Nemesis straight up punches Jill in the face, with no regards for her whatsoever.
The amount of hatred Umbrella has for STARS was all incorporated into Nemesis
?? How do you know Nemesis is male?
Equal rights and lefts for you, missy.
Brian Aguilar look at him at the acid chamber his body is based of a male with he’s shirt off shit look at his shoulders balky as fuck very male look nemesis has no female feature at all shit even when he say star ⭐️ it’s a male voice so there you go!
@@brianaguilar8283 The lack of boobs when he's without his trenchcoat is a dead giveaway. Not to mention all Tyrants are cloned from a single male.
This is 100 times better than the remake from 2020 lmfao
Vinsent Krastev only thing that’s better is nemesis shows up more
I have to agree. The new forms they gave him just don't feell like Nemesis, and all the 'caution' stickers and the twisted nose they gave the new version just make him look ridiculous.
his second form in the remake looked like xenomorph(aliens) and a plucked chicken combined, one his attacks is literally motor boating jill lol
Vinsent Krastev says who? stop being sheep dude, you know that nemesis on 4K is better just look at the cutscenes
Honestly the original also has set specific events to trigger a "random" Nemesis encounter out of nowhere but the difference is its well hidden but subtle unlike the remake
I just now realized with the high resolution ambience texture that in the final room with the rail cannon that there were a lot of umbrella soldiers corpses and a single rocket launcher laying around.
Excellent!
Us army. They were sent in while all this was going on. This is a seriously mystical event that no one has any details on - the big question is: how the hell did they carry the cannon???
@@Natedawg38 Maybe because not even Capcom or the RE fandom could come up with reasons for how a single army unit could kill FIVE Tyrants at once. Nevermind carrying that cannon around.
First and Second Phase Nemmy have the best design out of all the games he's shown up in, absolute beast.
Who else here is a die hard fan of this game? From our sexy heroine to the terrifying pursuer throughout the game.
Amazing example of a horror survival game!
Is more action than horror though...
@@damiangallo4185 Uhmm no. RE6 is an example of that.
hey there cutie 😘
@@reny9351 uhmm, yes? First of all, re6 is absolute trash both as a game on itself, and as a RE game, second, re3 is a much faster game than re2 and re1, and every enemy on the game is faster than any enemy on previous entries, besides the game gives you lots of weapons to destroy everything, and do I have to mention the dogde mecanic? Is that really "horror" to you? Besides I said it was "more action", as is ACTION SURVIVAL, instead of a survival horror, the game is a very well designed survival though
@@damiangallo4185 lol that's your opinion, mine is different. I didn't intend it to compare to the other games. Still, it's still more of horror for me. Imagine Nemesis pursuing you throughout the game, not knowing when he will come out.

A friend of mine once asked me why Nemesis walks into the flames after enduring enough damage from Jill.
I always had a hunch that Nemmy felt it suffered too great of a damage, and retreats.
I'm not looking at this video just to look, I'm looking at it to train because I know when he shows up in RE3 remake I'm going to be scared shitless
You know they'll spawn him in different areas to mess with us.
Don’t worry they’ll probably make him easier to fight in the remake
@@mr.nickname9172 Mr.X was b plot story boss you can take out in the original but became actually terminator throughout 2 Remake impossible to kill only put down more than a min, I dunno they gonna make nemesis easy on the next remake.
Vega Sanders well thing about Mr X is that he was actually very easy to take out in the original. So buffing him was something to be expected. Compare him to nemesis and mr x is an actual joke. Nemesis was a hard mother fucker, with some of his encounters boarding on being unfair at times. So yeah I think they’re gonna buff some aspects of nemesis, but over all I think he’ll be easier for the new players to take out.

OMG thank you !! My first resident evil game on PSX ! rewaching those cutscenes now with this quality is so nice !
I want a REAL RE3 remake.
Honestly of all the RE remakes, I only liked the remake of first game because it was faithful to the original and they even added more stuff like Lisa Trevor. I don't like that reimagining nonsense they did with RE2 and RE3. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
RE one remake is a masterpiece
@George Houliaras love your bold statement! And people will still defend capcom for giving us less and expecting more money. Jill and Nemesis were iconic.
Just stick with the original RE3. They'll never beat it with any remake. Same goes for all originals vs remakes of the games.
And i'm gay
Anyone think this version of when nemesis says starrrrrs gives off more of a horror vibe then in the re3 remake?
yes and the fact he chase us so many times
Yes. Plus when Nemesis just has that ambush
No, everyone complaining about the new one is high
I like how Nemesis was so determined to kill Jill himself, that he took a hit from the rail cannon to save her.
I remember me if I was a Teenie and saw Nemesis for the first time, running away through a door and was thinking "I'm save now" like the other Resi Games before and, then the doors open and Nemesis walked in, scared the shit out of me. That blows me miles away and creeping me out to my bones, awesome.
Jill: It’s finally over...
Nemesis: Sike, that’s the wrong number!
Zombies: *OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!*

Remake: unstable Nemesis, only gets burned and soaked in water when he nonsensically turns into an absurd humongus reptile (also tries hard to be intimidating but meh).
Everytime someone tells me how great re3 remake is I just assume they never played the original. Never been so disappointed in my whole life. 3 was always my favorite.
True.
Stupid opinion.
I wonder why the ramake has cut the 2 most iconic Nemesis scenes ever!
@20:06 Holy shit ... sometimes in the waste disposal chamber battle, even after losing his head, Nemesis will continue to attack you as if unphased? Somehow that makes Nemesis 10 times more unstoppable & terrifying. They need to implement this in the remake of this fight.
the ending music is the best! thank you for adding it in. bring my memory back to 20 years ago
Can't wait to see this with RE Engine.
x2 btw i will be so mad if they don't put the "you want stars" in the final boss fight
I just wish they kept Mikhail alive :'(
Yeah I'm super hyped!
Your gonna crap your pants, as will I.
@@kyokennedy5334 If Capcom would put more budget to it, they can make the remake completely different by adding different ending. One path that maybe could save his life.
Nemesis is unstoppable he's so persistent to kill jill he's not gonna stop just like how the terminator was with sarah connor he wasn't gonna stop until he completed his mission.
They really need an outfit swap for Nemesis that makes him look like this version on the Resident Evil 3 remake
The way nemesis says “stars” in the original is so iconic However in the remake you can barely understand him when he says “stars” it honestly sounds like he’s roaring the remake was such a disappointment
This Nemesis is so badass, missing both an arm and a head and still keeps kicking. Eat your heart out Remake.
