Good morning Josh, I just received my Titan XL5 HD. WOW! It's one of the best flying quads that I own, buttery smooth. *Note to all newer pilots: Reduce rates down to 400-450%, it makes getting used to this Ferrari much easier.
Its the wide arms man, guys been flyin 5in props on 6in arms for smooth for years, try 5.5in props for more speed n longer flights if they will fit ....chomp go gators
If you have the V2 version of DJI FPV Goggles, remember you have to go into the settings menu and set them to DJI FPV System mode and reboot, before binding (linking) will work.
I think they all come set for crossfire. I ordered the dji remote version and mine was also setup for crossfire. Being I was still new to the hobby it took me forever to figure out how to get it working. Thankfully you helped me out via messenger. Wish when they say bnf it was actually bnf. But thats any company I guess. My GPS has never worked on it though. Great quad other than that.
If it is being shipped with an Air Unit and without a pre-installed CRSF receiver then it's silly not to configure the Ports tab to work automatically.

15:27, you should set Aux - GPS Rescue to some value when it´s like on switch, for exmple 1800, because if fs happens by loosing rc signal, you won´t be able to gain control of your quad back.
Is it worth it to have a GPS in your FPV drone. I want to use one for filming video and am worried if I lose connection I will lose it. Coming from a Mavic and want to buy a pre built with DJI digital FPV system installed.
Why did JB stop using Pre-Arm mode? I think it's a good safety measure. I would set it up on Aux 4 (in this case), it's also a good way to test the beeper at pre-flight stage. JB is awesome!

Josh help me! Got the XL5 HD and it was working till a prop hit my battery cable and now I have a solid red light on my flight controller and no blue light or connection to my dji remote.
I just bought this drone second hand. With cross fire. Got it bound and everything working except for when I go to throttle the motors up in a test they are not in sync. The motors also don’t come back down after throttling up. I’ve tried to start the esc calibration but it doesn’t go into that mode when I plug in the battery. Not sure where to look for answers any help would be awesome!

When I arm my quad (without props at the table) and move the throttle stick a bit up the motors are going full speed at max, and then the throttle stops reacting at all, there is no ascending or descending of motors speed it just revving at max and no throttle control whatsoever. Only disarming helps to switch it off... What am I doing wrong? my settings are pretty much the same as yours, but motors behavior is very strange, please help?

I was just about crying with time-spending events waiting for the firmware update. I've been flying Mavics for close to a year, and when doing firmware updates, I always make sure I have something else to do. They are usually great updates...but they are not fast.

For it to be truly bind and fly, you would need your controller set up exactly how the quad expects it to be. Unless the quad is sold with a pre-configured receiver, it is almost never truly bind then fly. However this is industry standard, so it's not like iFlight is being misleading when they call this a bind-n-fly. For FPV quads, this is the definition of bind-n-fly.
So what am I doing wrong I have updated googles and drone I cant get it bind??green light comes on the drone hit the button on the goggles and the goggles start beeping?

They all seem to ship with crossfire set, I see people on the DJI forum who have sent their XL5 back and then received another and are having the same problem with this once again, if your new to the hobby and not sure about using betaflight this is a deal breaker, iFlight need to fix the dump they are using on the none crossfire version
My cidora took a very light tumble didnt break anything not wven bent prop and grass was 4-5” long so cushioned also flight controller now wont allow video in to be passed to vtx the twin g is very delicate. Crap. My friend pasha also clipped some scraggle little tumble in the grass and now his has lost all its osd. Nothing to do with betaflight settings 100% on that. Cidora suck

The v1 controller can work with air unit. The v2 controller cannot.

You can buy the rotg01 receiver and plug it into your phone.
