Watching the video, I noticed the 03 had a bung in it and I thought mines missing I'll order some of those from the guy who does the 3D printing for me. 1 minute later in the video, you pulled yours out and chucked it.! Thanks for saving me a few quid
I have an affinity for 6" quads, ever since building an Eachine Tyro 119 along with your build guide. Interestingly, the guts of that quad lives on in another frame, fc and esc still kicking...
I still have that Tyro119 frame here. The FC is on a shelf, the ESC arrived prefried from factory and i put Rushfpv stack in it. that stack got transfered and now i'm contemplating building a rescue drone with the frame and put the cam on a servo or gimball. Everyone was saying the frame would delaminate, it didn't. The Tyro motors are still on it lol.
Glad to see you are still making videos. I work on the road and 4 years ago my trailer was stolen with 100% of all my drone gear was in it. I had already invest so much I decided not leave the hobby. Because I didn’t wanna build back up. But recently I have been getting the bug to fly . I was planning on finding a decent RTF 5inch and and get a new tarannis and some fat sharks. But I noice now days everyone I see online is wearing the DJI googles.. is that the new latest greatest on headsets?? Also if you don’t mind I ask… what is the latest/trending headsets and handset controllers. Or maybe you know the latest 4 inch freestyle quad. My old favorites was bot5 and and hawk 5. Thanks Josh.
I bought the X6 on Ali Express in the Black Friday sales for £250 UK including shipping WITH O3. Bargain! I think it’s ace but one issue with the FC. It doesn’t allow you to connect to your computer and power the receiver too, you need a battery. Contacted GEPRC and they said it’s just that FC as it doesn’t support it due to a diode. They didn’t include the Moderna antenna on the Ali Express version for some reason but I contacted them and they sent it out for free so now I have the Moderna antenna too. Really nice drone I love it and fly with 1850 GNB HV and get a long flight time too.
@@demetriusdamarcusbartholom5700 it’s gone up now but it’s reduced again next week but it’s about £305 I think. Black Friday had an extra £50 off if you spend over £300.

I like the battery pads that like, diatone used to have that had like a basketball rubber texture... Often, late at night for hours I would just rub on my pads and think about flying.
Glad to see Some new offerings in 6inch. 6 inch are under valued IMO, The additional weight carrying ability, higher cruising speed while maintaining agility is so nice. Also there are some great 5.5inch props too. 6inch is a great for mid range acrobatic flight. 7 inch needs a decent investment in batteries, they sacrifice agility, I like to hike to fly and they don't pack as well and you have to carry that battery weight. 7inch are typically dead cat (for props in view reasons) and i personally don't really like the feel of dead cat frames. Thanks for the review JB.

Didn't you perform the "three plug method" wrong on the ELRS receiver? I've at least done this a couple times, and I thought it was supposed to be plugged in and out 2 times, and then the last time you leave it in and powered.
When you do a full throttle punch out, it will perform significantly better if you have forward momentum. Try and cancel that out and go from hover. Helicopters have a rating for max ROC at a specific forward speed.
All of my GepRC quads freak out when they bump something, and go shooting full throttle in a random direction until the idle switch is cut. Please do a video on how to fix this. It’s dangerous, and ridiculous that even the quads with prop guards aren’t set up to bump into things.
I have a specific question about the 5" model regarding the motors. According to the GepRC datasheet, these reach 120°C, which is extremely hot-assuming that's even possible and not just a mistake in the datasheet. Can you confirm whether the motors became unusually hot or too hot after a test flight? thx a lot for this information.
I have a basic question from a relative noob: what is the advantage of getting a drone bigger than the Mob 8 I already own? It just seems more expensive, more dangerous to fly, and easier to break? My Mob 8 goes pretty darn quick already, and I ‘may’ have flown it at least 500m in range, which I consider decent for a FS drone. So why would I benefit from getting a 5 inch? Are they more fun, or what? Thanks all 🛸
More mass = fun to flick around and do tricks. Caveman like power. Also, ability to carry a GoPro (or whatever). Each size/platform has its pros and cons. Lately, I really like my 3" toothpick. They're cheap, batteries are cheap, quiet, and almost as fast as my 5".
I like GEPRC, I have the Mark5 O3. I’m interested in this quad for O4 and wanted to know the difference. Would the dead at version be better as 6inch? Appreciate the video review

Yooo, someone that knows what they are talking about! My rates are tuned for every build. I have them so they all feel basically exactly the same, in the real world. People seem to not realize that setpoint FC rates and reality are not the same. I need different rates even on the same prop size platforms, depending on geometry, motors and prop style. Let's me fly super consistent when switching builds, and removes adjustment time and over/undershoot. Also Ethix K2s are my favorite 6" freestyle prop.

I heard blunty say that like 90% of his tech calls are people that buy something and instantly go trying to update fw and whatnot. I have only bought a few bnf quads, but Just since JB blows over it, What you should always do first, connect to betaflight and go to the CLI and run Version, Status, Dump all and copy all of that into a word doc. Clear the cli and run diff all and copy that into a word doc, Should make a folder in your documents called "drones" and save all of this info there. I also just keep my OSD preferences in a word doc, and paste that into cli and save, and fly it as is at least once or twice, just in case you get one that is DOA, if you try to return it, and they see you have made changes to the firmware, or ESC firmware you could have some trouble returning it. That way, if something does happen you have everything backed up. I highly doubt you can buy a BNF today that has really old FW on it, but if you want to go to emuflight or something like that, you can typically copy paste your diff all into the emuflight CLI and save, after you flash fw and it should be good.
Since BF doesn't lock the bootloader you can even make a copy of original firmware using STM32CubeProgrammer. That way even if the manufacturer used their own fork because the support isn't in a Betaflight release yet, you'll be able to revert to a working firmware.
There is something I'd like to ask about. If I want to connect the servo to the fc of the vapor 5, I have to connect the cable to the G 5v led channel. Can I do it directly?
