I luv this guy for admitting he wants to keep eating after dinner!! Me to 😂👍

The only thing that stops that for me is 100% dark chocolate with 1/4 cup nuts and craisins. It totally stops the need to keep eating. Might be the bitter chocolate. I'm not sure way.

It would be easier to put the whole thing in a Pyrex baking dish and just bake to that way. Cut into bars when the thing is cooled.
That would be easier than trying to shape the balls before baking.

Since I add a small amount of chocolate chips to this, I lower the calorie density by adding finely grated carrot and it is YUMMY!! Totally part of my weekly bulk prep! Thanks!!

These clusters are amazing! Think of them this way... you got astronaut food n your bag. purse or pocket... When you get hungry, take out one or two clusters, grab a mug or bowl or shallow cup, crumble up your cluster, add your choice of chilled milk and VOILA! instant oatmeal cereal fix! It's BRILLIANT!!!

I tried a similar recipe without dates and didn't like it. I'll try yours. Thanks! Ingredients of your recipe:
    For every 1 banana: 1 spoon flax seeds (2:1 with water) - 1 C of oats - 3-4 pitted dates per banana - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon - 1/4 C of nuts
Mash dates and banana in the food processor (5 bananas with dates at a time).
Add the flax seeds soaked in water and the oats.
    Stir everything up.
Add cocoa powder, coconut flakes, raisins etc. if you want.
Make 2-inch balls and flat them slightly (they don't need to be as flat as cookies).
Cook them for 20 min. at 350° F. Flip them and cook them another 20 min..
    Freeze the second batch.

The BEST....I add fresh cranberries (I dehydrate them in batches and store them). When they are cooled I dip them in Dark chocolate(about 1/2). My kids like to make them and add cherries & homemade little marshmallows, then when cooled they dip in Dark Chocolate. They love them for sleepovers with friends!

So, I made these today out of 5 bananas that were past their prime. I ran out of vanilla extract at some point so I didn't have that ingredient. I used Almond extract in its place and OH MY GOD.. it is MAGICAL! Thanks for yet another beautiful, healthy, and delicious recipe. By the way, I used unsweetened applesauce because BEHOLD... I was out of Flaxseed. I made 1/4 cup balls and they fit EXACTLY on a half sheet. Absolutely delightful.

Those look so good! Must be the vanilla and dates that make that color look like it has cocoa. I haven't used flax seed but I have used ground chia and also unsweetened coconut flakes and blueberries! They come out so delicious! The coconut makes them taste decadent! The blueberries add a delicious taste of sweet and tart! I never thought of flipping them but I wonder, do they come out more crispy like that??

    • @WellYourWorld
      @WellYourWorld  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Oh ya, I have done it with same amount of chia seeds before too and it worked great! I am not sure if flipping makes them crispier or not actually. Thank you for the comment!

Ok, I finally tried the Oat Clusters.
Before making them myself, I saw the photos and wrongly assumed that they would be a bit dry and chewy.
    I was wrong.
I made them with the new process using the food processor, and I did add ½ cup of warm water so the flax would blend.
They are moist and chewy, but not at all dry.
Glad I finally made these. Yummy.

Love these. Made the first batch just as you said but used apple sauce. Not a fan of flaxseed taste. The next Batch I made with ginger essential oil and Cayanne pepper. These cookies are addictive. Love it. Thanks for putting in the time to share these remarkable healthy life skills with us. Much appreciated. Love your channel.

Great recipe...and there is nothing in this recipe that requires it to be cooked. So I just store it in the fridge. One batch lasts me 4 days...Thanks~ Im thinking I will try rolling the next batch in a mix of cacao and coconut sugar

These came out great. Delicious! They were on the wet side when I was trying to form the balls. I think it's because one of the bananas was very large.

I've been trying to modify the recipe, because I cannot mix fruits with other foods (I get violently ill). Not perfected yet, but I've made something pretty good using pumpkin instead of bananas and molasses or maple syrup instead of dates. Hopefully I'll get something nailed down soon. Just thought I'd share.

Today I baked my first batch of oat clusters! They are yummy, but I think I made a couple mistakes because the batter was really wet. I ended up adding more oats.
I didn't have dates, so I decided to use agave. I did a half tablespoon for each banana. I know that isn't great, but I want to use it up anyway.

  • @joelleaittama1416

I made these and added pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie spice and they were delicious.
I did add the purée to the bananas, but wondering if I could just use the pumpkin. Of course I would probably need more dates.
    What do you think?
    I really enjoy your videos.

I think it sounds awesome. A few others have had this suggestion as well, so it is getting pretty popular. I know what I next oat cluster video is going to have, that is for sure.
