  • Welcome to the Corr Gaming Channel! Let's take an in-depth look at Warhammer 40,000's Chaos Gate Daemonhunters! How is the game now that it's had time to settle, received 2 full DLCs, and just recently received a console port!
    Lead humanity’s greatest weapon, the Grey Knights, against the corrupting forces of Chaos in this brutal and fast-paced turn-based tactical RPG. Root out and put a stop to an insidious plot to infect the galaxy with the Bloom, an intergalactic cosmic plague capable of rotting worlds into oblivion.

    I finished it on PS5 last week and it was amazing. Far better than I had hoped, and not too long. I will now aim for Rogue Trader.

    Glad they changed their minds and finally released this for PS4. I asked them a while back about this and initially they said they had no plans for anything outside of PC.

      It seemed so perfectly suited to console as well! The only reason I could think of for their statement was technical limitations and team size

    what’s funny is I just randomly decided to buy it a couple weeks ago, I’m just discovering your video now. I am loving it. Prefer it to XCOM. I can see myself doing at least 2 full campaigns with the variety of synergizing different team builds. My first campaign is on Normal difficulty but with Honor mode on (so no reloading saves). My favorite classes are Purgator optimized for long range crits and Interceptor optimized for Teleport strikes regenerating AP chain reaction, and Justicar optimized for Stuns/executions (I’ve got 4 executions with him in 1 turn using the Endbringer Halberd that restores 2 AP on execution). I’m at turn 400 and only just discovered there are 4 additional “Hidden” classes that are just as deep and detailed as the 4 starting classes

      For a warhammer game it really surprised me with how in-depth the combat can be! Especially as you get to the higher difficulty levels the more single-purpose builds really start to shine when generalist builds sometimes fall off. I'm really glad you're enjoying the title though!

    This game was an EPIC surprise for me. I bought the base game on discount after being put off earlier by some mixed reviews and the 'cartoony' animation. I felt with the space marines that it should be dark & serious. By the Emperor, my eyes have been opened! The music and gorgeous SOUNDTRACK is enough to justify a purchase. I especially like the track while the marines are prepping ie get ready for an a$$-whoppin' holy battle. This is a fantastic thinking man's action RPG in the WARHAMMER 40k universe.
    The graphics, interface and targeting image is instant and just so technically beautiful. I'm so glad there is a bit of cartoon with the animation because the whole game is just dark. Like DARK, so a bit of 'brighter' colour is nice for a change (tho i still want a dark serious epic w40k movie with Henry Cavill).
    Best is the gamey is just engaging & really fun and allows you to mix & match to select a team to more closely follows lore and fight in some battles where life and death hangs by a single ap OR to build a super-powerful cheese team as if you wanted to play the Emperor himself. Fantastic for experimenting, as long as you have TIME ie basically construct the EDICT at the start to prioritize speed. And did i mention the soundtrack? The word EPIC is not overrated here, the music adds another dimension of dark and triumph to what is already a fantastic tactical action RPG strategy game. This game is really, FOR THE EMPEROR!

      I have played the Steam version across two different PCs and three Nvidia GPUs and have had zero crashes in ~400 hours of play. I have had the game hang twice maybe (would have ended a GM campaign, not great), and had the UI become unresponsive (exit game then reload fixed) perhaps five times.

    The turn-limit missions were the worst part of X-Com 2 for me, and this whole game is predicated around that concept. I really wanted to like it and gave ir a chance though and bought this anyway, but just couldnt get past it. It disincentivize any tactics like setting up ambushes and flanking in favor of just bee-line charging the objective

    • @corrgaming8942
      @corrgaming8942  วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think you’re right, but realistically I also felt that it matched the theme of both Warhammer and the grey knights. These aren’t humans focused on pushing tactically towards a goal. You’re playing as inexorable gods of war, who will not stop and will not relent until the taint of chaos is purged at whatever cost

  • @Xero_Kaiser
    @Xero_Kaiser หลายเดือนก่อน

    I wanted to like this game a lot more than I actually did. It's not a bad game but it's just way too focused on trying to annoy the hell out of you with gimmicky, RNG bullshit at every turn, which pushes you to rip through maps as fast as possible, lest you deal with even _more_ gimmicky, RNG bullshit. And there are way too many missions that overstay their welcome by throwing wave after wave after wave after wave of reinforcements at you.
    There's a fun foundation here and this seems like the sort of game that would've been godlike if it had mod support. But as it is, I ended up enjoying Mechanicus, Battlesector and Gladius far more than Chaos Gate.

    • @corrgaming8942
      @corrgaming8942  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really? I felt like the RNG was far more tame than some of the other games I've played.

    • @Xero_Kaiser
      @Xero_Kaiser หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@corrgaming8942 Yeah, of course it's manageable, but something about the way the RNG is handled in this game annoyed me. I just found myself rolling my eyes whenever I was getting hit with yet another warp surge or whatever.
      I think it's the fact that nothing interesting or fun happens with the random events. It's all just different ways of the game punching you in the dick every chance it gets.
