@@smoadia85 That's what I've observed as well. But I honestly rarely use Overwatch now. It's just not as a good as in XCOM. It shortens your range, it leaves you exposed if you're in full cover... Healing during a mission or before it ends has no effect on woundtimes. I am quite confident it is calculated from total damage received - not health at mission end
I really don’t understand why the wound recovery times are so goddamn long, and healing does not affect this. It’s baffling to me how devs think this is fun. Mechanicus did the gameplay right imo, no recovery times and was just penalized with rewards. Hamstringing your players after a mission with your leveled units having to sit out the next mission or two and effectively forcing the player to play with underleveled characters in a harder mission, yeah that makes sense.
@@24fretsoffury The only way you can really end up with "underleveled" characters is by not running your least experienced characters where possible, which should be the majority of missions. That is correct, but it does still contribute to the Warp Surge meter, since it is a warp-based ability. Less important than actually costing WP but still something to keep in mind.
I played the game last night and it seems whether the apothecary heals troops or not, it doesn't matter. The recovery time is calculated with the most damage to hit points the marines suffered during the mission. I'm on ruthless difficulty, so maybe it's tied to that.

sorry for asking but is there no female knight in the game? a playable female character at least maybe?
Unfortunately, there are no female space marines in 40k (although there are close enough equivalents in Sisters of Battle). There is however a female inquisitor in the game, which goes in the field sometimes. But the knights are very much the focus of the game from what I've seen.
@@arthanor9631 ah i see, thanks for the explanation!
@@valeriekarsten lore wise, the process of transformation into space marine is very flawed and varied due to the deterioration in the understanding of the process and the variation in different geneseed lineage.
The geneseeds only work in males and when the recruits are at a very young age as of 40k. And even then the chances of the implantation being successful is miniscule.
There are many badass women in 40k in many factions, just not space marines due to the backstory.
@@smoadia85 i see, hoping to see some 40k women playable soon!
This literally just looks like a reskinned X-Com..and I HATE x-com.
Anything in particular about XCOM you dislike? If it's the RNG, then it's worth noting this game doesn't use RNG for hit/miss
Game felt cheap. Quality of the audio, characters, cut scenes ,those in game action scenes look off place, cursor looks lack luster, just to name a few.
