True martyrs are those who gave their life for us fighting against the British. It makes me emotional thinking about the country love our heroes had and the vision of free Bharat that we are living in today. They remind us that we need to pass this country in a better way to every generation and not only think about ourselves. India didn't got independence because British woke up one fine morning and Gandhi made them realised that they did mistake for 200 years. British left India because of the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh and Armed revolution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Much more rebellion happened in 1857 but it lacked a leader like Mahatma Gandhi who influenced masses! Netaji called him FATHER OF NATION! INA had a gandhi and nehru brigade!

I tell you what no matter how many films you make of great to great quality for wider audience, when people don't have the basic humility/humbleness and are somehow shallow, you can't make them empathetic towards you or anyone's pain, misery. I have seen reaction of various channels, there is still an amount of people who don't believe that British actually did uncountable horrible things to Indians and even they try to somehow justify it (especially with that one bullshit that British gave us trains which was solely done to exhaust and loot resources of India and nothing else). Inthiya Pirivinai - Uthirathal oru kodu Tamil language book provided another perspective or insight of the horrors that happened during partition.

Though it has been criticized for truncation of events, depictions of towering real-world figures and omissions of both historical and human scale, it gives you a wee bit of an idea.
BR Ambedkar is the main person who contributed in making India Constitution. Very visionary person. Like James Madison for u. But much greater life much hard struggles for he belong to Dalit caste still was one of most learned person in then India.

In Ms Marvel the only fault in showing partition is its very Indian point of view.Not Pakistani. Muslim league came with two nation theory demanding separate country for Muslims.If you ask any Pakistani today they think partition as their win for getting their own country not tragedy from point of view from India.Second point that I found unconvincing is people in village not giving any food/water to Indian Muslims before partition to justify the need for partition. In addition to so many missing details of partition, people are largely unaware of the mass movement of Indians out of India to other colonies (Guyana, Trinidad, Fiji, etc) from mid-1800s-early 1900s under the British indentureship scheme which was basically meant as a continuation of the slave trade.
Today i got to know what the climatic shot of Udham Singh was about whem he was found to be hanged with a photograph in his hand. I guessed he was Bhagat Singh but had no verification of the same.
The British is still wealthier only because of they looted tons and tons of gold and diamond from India. It's today's worth is Trillion trillion dollars worth. Also they splitted India as Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and we want to be fighting each other and should not become a developed country. This was their master plan when they given freedom. Netaji Bose was against the seperation of india.which loss many lives and land and ancestral properties of many people during migration. The main problem behind making a movie about the Indian partition is that there is clearly a side who is wrong, and nobody wants to talk about it. At least not in this PC culture scenario. The partition of India is one of the biggest pointless Migration that occurred in human history. It was caused by Muslims living in India. Almost all of them voted for the Muslim League in the elections for the INTERIM GOVERNMENT. Muslim league was raising the idea of a separate nation, on the basis of religion. Mostly Shia community of that time stated that Muslims can not live under the Rule of Kafir Hindus. (written in the manifesto of the Direct Action Day Plan) but they come to the conclusion that they can not get a separate nation because Britishers were against it, (at least Mountbatten was because he wanted a powerful united commonwealth nation as an ally.) Hence the launched Direct Action Day. They stated that it was the next Gajwah Ae Hind, either they will control the whole nation or they will get a separate nation. Riots started in the whole country on demand of the Muslim league. and finally, congress kneeled in front of the Muslims of India. And the irony is, mostly the Muslims who voted for the separation(Muslims from the united province Bihar, up and Bengal, and from the south region), they all stayed well in their homelands, mostly the Punjabis migrated.
You all could maybe watch the 1984 English(Granada) series The Jewel in the crown. It's about the last days of the British raj in India. I think it's on Netflix DVD

The main problem behind making a movie about the Indian partition is that there is clearly a side who is wrong, and nobody wants to talk about it. At least not in this PC culture scenario.
The partition of India is one of the biggest pointless Migration that occurred in human history. It was caused by Muslims living in India. Almost all of them voted for the Muslim League in the elections for the INTERIM GOVERNMENT. Muslim league was raising the idea of a separate nation, on the basis of religion. Mostly Shia community of that time stated that Muslims can not live under the Rule of Kafir Hindus. (written in the manifesto of the Direct Action Day Plan) but they come to the conclusion that they can not get a separate nation because Britishers were against it, (at least Mountbatten was because he wanted a powerful united commonwealth nation as an ally.) Hence the launched Direct Action Day. They stated that it was the next Gajwah Ae Hind, either they will control the whole nation or they will get a separate nation. Riots started in the whole country on demand of the Muslim league. and finally, congress kneeled in front of the Muslims of India.
And the irony is, mostly the Muslims who voted for the separation(Muslims from the united province Bihar, up and Bengal, and from the south region), they all stayed well in their homelands, mostly the Punjabis migrated.

Would love to see something like flag of our fathers and letter from hirojima. 2 partition movies with indian and pakistan perspectives. Its not impossible but too difficult and sensitive.

You can't make an "honest" movie on partition because the wokes will go into seizures, and will probably brand it propaganda.
No hate but the portion around 13:00 of 'hollywood could make a movie about partition' sounded very insensitive and problematic even if it might have come from a good place. Similar vibes as the white savior narrative. Better if it remains a completely Indian production if there is ever a movie.
